yk it's not a story about grief if it doesn't feature the grieving protagonist (who is energetic, quirky and immature) become embroiled in a love triangle where the first love interest serves as her illusory version of a romantic partner and the second love interest is a nerdy guy with family issues who she developes an emotional bond with.

NWH showed a fundamental flaw with the MCU. Why were no Avengers there to vouch for Peter? Why did no Avenger show up to help with the Avenger-level threat he faced later? Because it involves real-life actors and that's very limiting. MCU's style of storytelling requires the characters to interact with other more often than they actually do and that causes all kinds of logic fails. MCU storytelling works for comics, cartoons, and even liveaction tv series. It doesn't work across multiple movies
Yeah, my friend who saw the movie, DEFINITELY questioned that when we discussed the film, as we literally only got uh, Doctor Strange showing up from the Avengers to help him....and that's cause Peter seeks him out, while Matt Murdock is finally appearing from Netflix....but he just appears as Matt, not Daredevil, so.....
Like, the MCUs timeline is so wack so its hard to tell where No Way Home takes place in the timeline, but what was stopping some of the Avengers from either coming to help him or briefly to add to the drama, coming to fight Spidey? In story, who the fuck knows, its a onoging problem with MCU bragging about crossovers, but then making no sense then in other films, but like you said in reality, its cause of actors. Like, we don't even see SHIELD come to help him, you know, THE PEOPLE WHO WERE WITH HIM IN FAR FROM HOME- cause I guess even having some made up SHIELD Agents was hard.
Avengers-Level threats sadly appear in A-LOT of these films that the avengers as a whole don't appear to help with, to the point I can only excuse Shang Chi as it was happening outside of New York, but the others? Where are the avengers, holy shit.
#anti mcu#no way home spoilers#nwh spoilers#like avengers really in mcu canon#be like 'we a family!' but then doesnt show up in non-avengers films#unless they can pull the actors in or something

Other than Avatar, what other Western Animated shows are you a fan of and why?
I actually haven’t been a fan of many Western Animated shows, which I suppose isn’t great of me... I’ve been recommended many shows that look good, such as Star Wars Rebels and The Clone Wars, but I haven’t had the time to watch them yet. If anything, the one thing that comes to mind that I’d consider myself a fan of is The Dragon Prince, but even then I’m not exactly active in that fandom, mostly just watching eagerly and waiting for more content.
As for stuff I’ve watched and enjoyed, even if I’m not what you’d call a FAN of them, the first that comes to mind is Scooby Doo Mystery Inc. Honestly, that’s by far the greatest Scooby Doo show of all time and I wish they’d made them like that more often. It was sooooo good. I never did get a chance to watch all of Teen Titans, didn’t have cable when it was airing, but I really enjoyed the episodes I caught on TV when I finally could watch them (the movie was a lot of ridiculous fun too). I also really enjoyed Total Drama Island, at least the first season (I think that’s the one I watched a few episodes of?).
And well, outside of the strict term of “show”, I do consider myself a fan of the Tinkerbell movies. People can say what they will, they’re gold and they have top-notch storytelling that puts a TON of shows and movies, whether liveaction or animated, to shame. And I’m not being ironic about that statement in the least.
#kaox-krul#if I think of anything else I'll reblog and mention it#but I admit I was a weaboo#I kept watching eastern animation instead#soooo I have more I can say about that than western for sure

galaxy brain: villains that are misunderstood and unapologetic.
milky way brain: villains who deserve punishment and eternal damnation and most of all, they don't need your sympathy. because they don't deserve it. there's no redemption and no accountability either. the villains who are intrusivein the protagonists' lives, hell who are even posing as the protagonists- the heroes and it's jarring as lightning. but we can't look away.
basically, villains that are evil by nature but who aren't two-dimensional mustache-twirling individuals.
