Mistigram: Everyone knows that a cat has nine lives, but conversely, the name of @littlebitspace's screen here featuring the sinister feline reflection is "9 Deaths". It won first place in the Extended Text Art compo at the recent @flashparty.ar demoparty, and was included in the spooky new MIST1024 artpack collection.

Mistigram: this skullish monochrome #PETSCII exploration of the cycle of death and rebirth is unsurprisingly the handiwork of @littlebitspace and was included in the spooky MIST1022 artpack collection released two years ago this month.

Mistigram: you can practically feel the texture of old dry bone beneath your fingertips looking at this custom #PETSCII illustration of a #skull by @littlebitspace. What's with the glyph drawn on its forehead? And why is it described as a "mask"? Some questions are better left unanswered. This piece was included in the spooky new MIST1024 artpack collection.

Mistigram: there was never any doubt that this was going to be the first individual work from the creepy new MIST1024 artpack collection showcased, not least because it was the earliest piece of haunting art to stake its Halloween claim in our incoming directory, nearly a year ago. This #teletext screen, "Doomscroll", whose test pattern resonates sinisterly with Poltergeist and Videodrome, is a collaboration between two modern masters of constrained semigraphics, @littlebitspace and @atonalosprey.

Mistigram: Hmmm... here's some food for thought! This contemplative #ASCIIart adaptation of #TheThinker, the crowning element in #AugusteRodin's #GatesOfHell, was made by @littlebitspace and included in the new fine art-themed MIST0424 artpack collection.

Mistigram: ever feel like you're struggling to emerge from a foggy brain haze of static or line noise? @littlebitspace captures the sensation in this #ASCIIart illustration, "Tangled", included in the recent MIST0223 artpack collection.

Mistigram: as we bid farewell to 2023, here are a selected handful of the most popular artworks we shared over social media from our artpacks released last year, representing #ANSIart, #ASCIIart, #pixelart and #teletext. Here's looking forward to another productive and rewarding year ahead to all our contributors and colleagues!

Mistigram: yes, I agree... the bottle is oldschool, the #SkullAndCrossbones logo is hardcore -- it worked for England's "Death" brand cigarettes in the late '90s. But if you invite me to take a swig, I must demur. This #asciiart piece was drawn by @littlebitspace and included in the MIST1022 artpack collection released one year ago this month.

Mistigram: @littlebitspace repeatedly drew this #asciiart #skull -- perhaps Freddie Mercury's? -- flapping its jaw over and over again, resulting in this animation loop titled "Bite the Dust". This piece was included in the MIST1022 artpack collection released one year ago.

Mistigram: this unholy #asciiart demon comes from, well, the valley of Gehenna, but by way of the desk of @littlebitspace, our resident skull specialist. It was included in the spooky MIST1022 artpack collection released one year ago this month.

Mistigram: you can't have one #GreatWaveOffKanagawa without having a second, implied one, so let's post a second interpretation of this 1831 #Hokusai #ukiyoe print, this time rendered in #ASCIIart by the formidable @littlebitspace. This piece was also included in the recent fine art-themed MIST0424 artpack collection.

Mistigram: it's important to pace yourself for Halloween enjoyment (it wouldn't do to show up for Canadian Thanksgiving dinner looking like this guy! You got too hungry, bud!) but we're entering the final sprint now, and with it, the spooky new MIST1023 artpack collection goes live, featuring some 70 chilling specimens of vintage computer and text art. You can download it from our homepage at mistigris.org or, if you prefer, browse its contents from the @sixteen_colors web gallery at https://16colo.rs/pack/mist1023/
This haunting FILE_ID.DIZ imagery, full of hidden Satanic messages and inverted sacred iconography, was made by @littlebitspace.

Mistigram: whoever said that human bodies are naturally buoyant was never a fleshless skeleton. This remapped #PETSCII screen, titled "Drowning", was drawn by @littlebitspace using their own custom #textmode character set and included in the recent unthemed MIST0624 artpack collection. (Skeletons can't drown either, but he can't hear us over all the frantic splashing. There's probably a profound metaphor to be learned here, but I will leave it as an exercise for the reader.) This piece was included in the recent unthemed MIST0624 artpack collection.
