There's a time for stories with depth and meaning, and a time for sheer silliness. And occasionally, with the best stories, a little meaningful moment sneaks into the lovely and hilarious. That's the case with Travis Foster's adorable "Give Me Back My Book!" readingisourthing -- You can’t tell from the cover, but All the Way Home, by Debi Gliori, features Santa, well—a kindly breakfast chef who is also the Special Air Navigation Transport Authority and has some parcels to deliver 😆 . Even before Little One was born, he’d already flown halfway around the world on a fantastic adventure with his Dad. Mama penguin had ventured off to find fish, while Daddy stayed home to protect their unborn fuzzy bundle in a Dad Huddle. Hungry and dreaming of fish, Daddy penguin drifts away from the huddle and is swept away in a HUGE gust of wind, so huge that the pair were taken all the way from the Antarctic to the Arctic. Through many curious and sometimes dangerous encounters, Daddy penguin keeps his precious bundle safe. A kind reindeer helps them find shelter and food, in the quaint cottage found in the most northern part of the world belonging to a friendly breaded man dressed in red.
