Friendly reminder that someone back in 2011 or somewhere around that time took a look at THIS and thought:

Who then proceeded to write the infamous “Cupcakes” witch THEN ignited an entire subculture within the My Little Pony fandom. A subculture that has become so vast it has inspired hundreds of authors to create incredible works of horror. And uh traumatize a lot of kids back in the day😭 it still blows my mind that a dedicated sector of MLP fans are not only authors but amazing, talented, horror authors. These folks have written Stephen King level shit that haunts the nightmares of many. This fandom has produced some of the most harrowing, terrifying, incredible horror stories I have ever read.

And it’s about ponies. From a show meant for toddlers.
