Fun fair challenge was actually enjoyable. I mean, the standards are pretty low at this point 😂

Paying to win the kissing challenge. Paying to choose a better card. Paying to get gossip. I expect it at this point, but it’s gotten totally out of control. I don’t know how I ever played without the mod before because it’s ridiculous!! 🤑

The Natasha switch up is CRAZY.

I feel like I need it to be explained to me like I’m stupid bc I’m having a hard time with understanding how she’s snakey for chatting and pursuing Stefan.

Especially, if 👏🏾you 👏🏾don’t 👏🏾want 👏🏾him. 👏🏾

*And this RANT is for people who didn’t even choose Stefan or want him. Bc I’m seeing most of this take with them. Vs someone who is on her route. Natasha Stan’s I feel for you. It sucks.

I keep seeing three big reasons why she’s the “worst.”

1) She’s obsess with Mc and Stefan. And gladly is second best to Mc/wants Mc’s leftovers.

Okay, in order to relate it and make common ground with Mc is to tell us that “hey, we were both the same season. Except I was a casa girl. And oop, we might have similar taste, I tried grafting/dating your ex but he was so into you.”

“And overall, y’all appeared so perfect and cute. I admired your relationship and want to have a relationship like yours or have someone be that interested in me.”

(if we go off appearances. Bc Mc can say that everything isn’t what it seems. )

Like clearly she is our exposition/lore character to help us understand what is the status quo BUT narratively, you can infer the questioning especially as we get to Casa is to make sure Mc FOR SURE is done with Stefan. Bc let’s be honest. Ppl be seeing their ex’s and old feelings be coming up.

And they all here for a second shot at love. Plus she has history with Stefan, whether you believe it’s as strong as Mc and his, is beside the point. It’s Casa and she’s single, and he is too. She has the right to explore that.

2. If you’re on a Stefan route, she pulls him for chats knowing I’m interested.

Once again it’s love island. Step your pussy game up if you’re scared of competition. Like it’s chats, BFFR why are we acting like she’s stealing your man, being so vicious and talking bad and sabotaging you behind your back.

I feel like there’s nothing wrong with having chats and still exploring ALL available options.

I get the argument of “if we been spending most of the time with one li, why should she step in and talk to him.”

But at that point it’s the final chats before recoupling, I see no harm in getting final graft time or check in with all casa boys and villa girls to make sure you didn’t overlook anyone. It’s no different than the casa boys, trying to sell Mc about themselves before recoupling. Is that them moving snakey? (to Marshall in my game) And either way, Mc always chooses before Nat so you can still choose him. She can’t fuck you over.

3. It’s just shady behavior how she’s moving bc shes’s been pressuring us about him and saying we are couple goals. But she turns around and grafts and brings him back. Why not just say you want him from the jump?

We as in-game characters didn’t know he was coming back. I mean I feel like it goes without saying she was interested in him from their season. But it was pointless. So fast forward now, idk about others but her talking with him before and after our own clear the air chat. That was clear she is going for him. Go for it girl, I can’t be mad. I don’t want him. And it’s no girl code rule break bc she didn’t even know Mc before this show.

I ain’t gonna hold her to some dumbass standard when we all signed up for a show where we are literally sharing men. I just fail to really see the snake behavior.

To me it differs from Kat who takes your li unprovoked for a chat and heavily tries to flirt and make moves just because. Knowing damn well she’s full of hell and just wants to make her partner jealous, and she chooses yours because she respects Mc the least. 😭

Now if Nat was moving like that with Stefan or your li you actually wanted. We could talk, but girlie literally did what she’s supposed to do on the show.

Make a connection, lock it in and is bring him back. Idk I just find more and more of these overreactions in the fandom so annoying and exhausting from players.

Like damn no one can be competition no more. No one wants to work for their Li affection. They all should worship the ground Mc walks on and never acknowledge any other girl ever. It’s boring af.

Final thing, which just speaks to her overall personality or character traits. Some are holding on to her “shit talking” from the PDA Awards.

But was she wrong?! No! Kat IS and ALWAYS will be ANNOYING and a whiny ass bitch.

Calling Kelly basic was shots fired and Kelly def caught a stray but I mean…Kelly does have more of simple vibe compared to everyone else who embodies the *That bitch* energy. Still all love for Kelly though.

Like y’all please. The “shit talking” was some of the most tamest shit ever. And let’s be for real, if Mc said this shit or has options to be even more bitchy or cuntier, we call them all kinds of Queens, Savages, and Icons. But with Natasha she’s shady.

I’m sorry I REFUSE to let y’all slander Natasha. She be riding for Mc. Remember she was one of the only ones on our side during the PDA debacle with Finn. Whether you did mess with him or not. Like Natasha is a rider.

Even with the drama that Melissa brought, that was Melissa twisting things to be messy. Not Natasha trying to be hurtful. Idc this rant was for her bc I hate how yall switching up on my girl. It’s WILD!

S6 SPOILERS AHEAD

I'm not even mad, I'm just flabbergasted. Fusebox took the best thing they did in the last four seasons (the surprise dumping) and completely squandered it. It's almost impressive in how just how wrong they could get things. The whole lead up should have been the dropped jaws when everyone saw us return. Instead, they were like, yawn, nice to see you or whatever. Saw you in the postcard.

WHO. THE FUCK. MADE THIS CHOICE? What? Why? It's so fundamentally unsatisfying. This is our popularity fantasy. We should have walked in like shock and awe. But we didn't. It just undoes so much. Now, we don't know if R/R/L/J stuck because they were being loyal despite us being gone, or just because they knew we were there? And I'm positive the only reason they did this is so we'll find out later that Ozzy didn't switch because he knew MC was back and wanted to be with her instead. Oh man, the poor Ozzy girlies. I was one, then I went back and did a loyal Lewie route instead, but I feel for you.

Also I want it known that in the villa fic I'm writing, I 100% called that Ozzy and Grace would be getting back together. Because why wouldn't they? Fusebox continues to self-cannibalize S2, copying and pasting most of Hope and Noah's scenes on top of Ozzy and Grace's. Right down to the cake Nope couldn't decorate together and fought over--which was a metaphor for their relationship. Grozzy had pretty much the same scene only it was a dog house they metaphorically couldn't get on the same page with.

I have so many thoughts (and complaints about Amelia), but I think I'll do a separate post for that.

Guys, The Amelia Show is almost over! Love all the LIs (yes including Ryan) 🫶🏼 but I think we deserve compensation from FB. EMOTIONAL AND FINANCIAL (even for those who didn’t spend money on diamonds lmao)

Hate to say it, but the bad outweighed the good this season. Like pls 29 diamonds for a short amount of sexy time with your LI?? Not only that, the scenes were not it. They basically paraphrased every other sex scene in the game. Definitely not worth spending diamonds… annndddd I’m gonna say it. Most of the outfits were hideous and also not worth spending diamonds on. Don’t even get me started on the whole Grace thing. They had one job. Like how difficult was it to just NOT make the only black female (nonplayable) character an antagonist??? Make it make sense. They had the perfect opportunity to bring Ivy back to put Amelia in her place, but they fumbled it.

Also, I’ve had enough of these goddamn “double dates”. No, I couldn’t care less if Toby and Amelia are “perfect” for each other after her being pied off by every one of MC’s sloppy seconds. The forced sister relationship and the constant private chats with Amelia were too much for me to actually enjoy the game.

I don’t like being negative, and I KNOW I’m gonna continue playing (I’m ending the game with Andy) but I’m struggling to accept that no season is ever going to live up to S2. And that each new season might be progressively worse than the last. And as much as I would like to try other routes with the other LIs, I don’t really want to replay it.

• I felt so bad when I had to choose Ryan like that, but we've barely had any chats with Bella, and I'm trying to get my groove on in the suite. 😸

• I've been nice/on good terms with Amelia but she can be so evil sometimes lol. This was just a fun challenge with no reward (I think) , so I don't see the point in sabotaging the competition.Plus I still won without it. Also I wish the Zeph kiss thing would have come earlier. I wanted to be mad at her for a bit longer but I didn't wanna leave on bad terms.

• I CANNOT stand Elliot. Like how do you expect me to respond?? I also hate how no matter how many times you say you're NOT interested in Elliot/Roberto they still come onto us like we did. Like pls leave me alone 😭😭

I hate Ozzy and I wish he would stop looking at me longingly bc I want to barf. And I love Grace so he's messing with our friendship. 👎🏻

ALSO if I sleep with Andy at Casa will Ryan find out? And does Ryan get mad if I come back with Andy? Or do I have to stay with Elliot? Bc I kinda wanna twist with Andy and choose Ryan in the final. But I don't want to hurt him. But I also know choices don't really matter in this game so I'm just curious. 😇🩷

Can we talk about how this volume ruined literally every current male li (besides hamish and finn)? If you stick, your li, after having spent the entirety of ca with Uma while staying loyal, all of a sudden decides he's more compatible with Uma. If you switch, your li immediately tries to jump ship after going on one date with another girl, including Stefan who like went on the show just for you.

Idk we've been through a lot of drama in litg, but I don't think I'll ever get over the ick from this emotional cheating. Like to endgame any of these guys, I'll have to purposely ignore all this happening and still I'll be tempted to take the money lol.

I finally caught up with season 10 and I have some thoughts. This might be an unpopular opinion, but.....

I really like this season! I originally stopped playing after the first volume cause I created a sweetheart of a character, and that just wasn't working. So for the first time since season 1 I decided to wait until I could binge the season (I got impatient, oops) and let me tell you

S10 works so much better when you're playing it as one big story, rather than having the same issues week after week. But as a whole, here are some more specific thoughts:

First of all, design. I like MC's design. We've come a long way since whatever that s5/s6 MC mess was. I understand that Fusebox, in order to make this game work, has to prioritize. And keeping essentially the same MC sprite over multiple seasons for the sake of the other characters' designs seems reasonable to me

Speaking of: For the most part the other characters' designs look great! They actually look like real people to me the obvious exceptions being Sophia (why... just why?) and kinda Franki (idk, she looks odd to me) and sorry Hayden (why does he have a hamster mouth)

Moving on to plot: I actually like that we don't couple up with someone straightaway! This plot point is a big one where being aware of it ahead of time helped a lot. I was growing tired of every LI immediately being all in with MC. In past seasons, as soon as you couple up, every LI just turned into the same lovesick mush. Let us work for people's affections!

This also allows for actual character building. I feel like I actually know Ethan, Milo, Hayden, and all the others. Characters having their own consistent personality? Unheard of since s4! I refuse to acknowledge s5 You have to make the coding work somehow and I feel like this is a smart way of doing it and stopping the personalities from melting into each other without doing a forced couple à la Miles/Jasper from s1. If a season wants to draw me in, distinct personalities is one of the most important factors to me.

Jesse!!! That's all.

No but seriously. Jesse is (so far) what Nicky/Seb from s3 was supposed to be. I have been craving a character like Jesse!! A male best friend whom you can genuinely come to for what would otherwise be girl talks. With the option of a friends-to-lovers route but also the option to just hype each other up!

Jesse thinking MC was the cheater during the dirty laundry challenge bc Sophia was spreading lies? Yes please! This is the type of drama that is genuinely important to me. No character, even your faves, are without flaws. This was a genuine fuck up on Jesse's part but I think it's so good for character and relationship building. More drama like this please!

Speaking of characters I love: Lisbeth. First of all, her character design? A+, give whoever did that a raise! Her character? The whole witchy, wanting to live in a overgrown castle, plays in a band and smashed her guitar vibe? A++! Calling her partner a good boy, giving dom-mummy vibes, but also nervous around her crush? Please let me marry her!

Okay hear me out.... I like Sophia as a character. Shitty person! Good character. Because I feel like she makes sense? I've seen many people basically call her cartoonishly evil but I don't think that's true. I think she is just self-absorbed. She genuinely doesn't think about how her actions might affect other people. Not in a fuck-you type of way, it just genuinely doesn't occur to her that when she is happy other people won't be happy for her, or that they might be hurt by the chaos trail she leaves behind. I find that compelling as an antagonistic character, especially since you can choose how sassy or understanding MC is of Sophia's narcissism.

If I were to ever make one of those TikTok hear-me-out cakes, I would put Tristan on it. What can I say, I like a good ratboy! Visually he reminds me of an early Damiano David from Måneskin, and I think that man just fundamentally changed something in my brain chemistry

What I like about the dates is that they are more than I generic "I like you, and I see myself with you and only you, you changed my entire outlook on life, now kiss me". Cause after a while that just gets boring. I feel like we actually get to learn about the LIs on the dates (partially due to them being given actual distinct dialogue!). Please, yes, actually tell me something about yourself! And that boat/snorkeling date? That shit was good!

The challenges have also been really fun so far. I particularly loved the dirty laundry challenge and the fairground (can never go wrong with a blindfolded kissing challenge, and combining that with the tea from the rest of the challenge was a cool thing to do)

Speaking of, the drama is delicious! Genuinely reminds me of s2 (maybe too high of a compliment, but whatever). I feel like we get to be a part of the drama, like how Jesse confide in MC about his feelings and doubts about his couple. I also love the Ethan/Hayden rivalry. And getting to split up a couple? I thought that was a cool new twist although I agree it probably should have come later in the season. I love that as MC, you kind of get to decide how seriously you want to take everyone coming to you with their issues

This is a minor thing, but it makes such a difference to me: Whenever a Thing has happened (date, tea got spilled, announcement, etc.) it's often the boys (lead by Jesse, my heart) who say "let's go for a debrief" FIRST. In past seasons I have been a little frustrated by the constant girls chats, cause like... I might not trust the girls?? Why are you making me do this?? *cough* Amelia *cough* But seeing the boys leave to chat males it so that (a) well, they're busy, might as well go chat to the girls instead of it feeling do forced, and (b) implies an actual bond between the boys - which makes the characters and the world feel more real. Male characters having relationships with each other? Outside of rivalries? What a concept!

I think the gems are well spent. Season 10 still has a bit of an issue with interesting drama only being introduced to you if you spend gems. But that also means that spending gems actually gets you something worth your money. Be it drama, intimate scenes with your LI or an extended scene where you get to clap back - I much prefer this over the alternative aka gem scenes being essentially meaningless (so essentially s5-s7)

I partially created this list because I've grown exhausted with the negativity in this fandom. Sure, there is also a lot to criticise. But despite all I still love litg. We've had unplayable seasons (s5) we've had mid seasons (s6 & s7), but recently we've also had some really good, replayable material (s8 & s9) that rivals the early stuff. And I think that deserves acknowledgement. So I'm gonna be cautiously hopeful for the rest of s10 and the future of litg.

All Stars Rant (Finn specific)

Fusebox really said a big f*ck you to anyone (ME) who romanced Finn in S5. It was bad enough he hosted the finale and said he got back together with Kat. Now I have to watch him be all sad faced that she ghosted him, while they are a default couple. And don’t even get me started on them looking at each other over the fishbowl 😒

Plus, who even knows if they’ll actually let us couple with him?! Instead I’ll just be slowly tortured watching them rekindle their romance. As if witnessing their toxic relationship during a traumatic, dumpster fire of a season wasn’t terrible enough the first time. And of course there’s zero mention of his relationship with S5 MC because that would require branching. Oh unless you count his intro about getting lucky in the shower 🫠

My only small (very small) hope is that some of the leaked returning islanders are HOT and will wrap my MC up in their big, strong, possibly tattooed arms and sweep her off her feet. A girl can dream, or write ff to fix it 😂 If anyone else wants to scream/cry/rant/complain about Finn, or anything else, my inbox is always open 💗

I have a question but don’t hate me for it. And I’m being deadass bc after today’s volume it has me thinking.

And I understand that my perspective is more lax and indifferent bc I’m not on a loyal route this season but I’ll ask here. I would on the Reddit but they’d bully me…anyway…

What do you guys consider is loyal? What is expected?

Bc don’t get me wrong, outside of narratively having all the Li’s react the same and question their compatibility with Mc being a huge mistake.

At surface value, I feel like this is one of these times that it feels like players/fandom want our li to just be passive. Like non-reactive to the villa. Only to be around and obsess with Mc.

Bc I get is a whiplash and sting to have your fave li, one you spent all the time with or gems etc just to have one date and that all is questioned. But that’s all apart of being on love island the games/show.

Like some people out of fear how fast their attachments and feelings grew, which is what the Li said causes them to second guess. But it felt like real motivation that was purely about them. And not Mc. And I like that.

Sometimes these Li act with only us, the player in mind. And I wish they’d be more independent from Mc.

Also I understand there was no true conversation it was kinda just put out there for Mc to deal with. And tbh I wish FB had committed to it being a TRUE DILEMMA. Because the impact was minimal bc your Li changes their mind in like 5 seconds. And it was waste of time.

Now if it was for a few days or for one full volume where they were splitting time between Mc and Uma or even as far as wanting to share with Uma at one point. That would be interesting.

And I feel like more and more as I keep playing these newer seasons I’m starting to realize I hate that. I hate the “loyal” route expectations of our Li.

And as I play other games and stories, I forget how GREAT it was when the characters have motivations outside of Mc. And if it potentially hurts Mc feelings or not what we as the player would want, we just have to deal with that. Bc the character is making a decision based on what is good for themselves in that moment.

Idk if I’m along sense, but it feels like nowadays the fandoms doesn’t want that. They like the way out Li is basically our pet.

Idk I’m just curious bc we say Mc is embarrassed or the Li wasn’t loyal but I mean damn, they can’t even decide what relationship is best for them. I know they say one thing and then it’s all like well maybe I’m second guessing. It’s dumb but felt like a real moment. Idk that’s why I’m asking like, is loyal to yall where your Li should never second guess or want anyone else ever. Is that really how you’d prefer your Li?

And don’t get me wrong, I’ve played most of these seasons on a loyal route so I get it. But maybe I’m just forgetting but I don’t feel like the older ones had this as bad as I’d say seasons 6-9 have lately. And on one hand it’s nice in some cases but todays volume really solidify that I like a challenge in these games or some sort of like story that yes I can influence but I want to see what they do and decide. I feel like I’m not making sense. Idk 🤷🏾‍♀️

S6 Reactions: HR Challenge eps

Alright, so this was... pretty good? Sort of? I don't know man. Real mixed bag. But if you are a member of the We Hate Amelia Club (of which I am treasurer), then you probably had a really good time 🤣

Okay, so onto my reactions. Spoilers ahead!

Every time Amelia went on about Toby.

When the girls cheered as I made out with Lewie during my dance.

When the girls went awkwardly silent while Amelia made out with Toby during her dance and then asked her to stop.

When Marshall didn't dance on Amelia and she had a tantrum about it, so he publicly pied her the fuck off.

Every time someone was low-key to high-key mean to Amelia for the entire volume.

Every time Amelia pulled me aside and tried to give me advice or support.

Every time one of the boys gave me a longing look.

When the game suckered me into spending way too many gems on lingerie because I completely forgot that Elliot existed and was the person I was sharing a bed with, not Lewie.

When Roberto has a completely out of character Hamish-esque tantrum as he was being ejected from the villa.

Every time Grace asks whether she should get back with Ozzy.

When Marshall made Grace's heart rate beat the fastest, something I had written into my WIP before these episodes.

Every time I had a sweet conversation with a guy who wasn't Lewie.

When Lewie told me that he fell for me and wants me to meet his nan, and dreams of us having a house and dogs and walking on the beach.

When we had pool sex.

Overall I had a good time. And I'm sorry to anyone who likes Amelia. These episodes probably weren't nearly as fun for you as they were for me.

I knew having this season be a mix of old and new characters was gonna be annoying. Its call All star for a reason, most of us wanted to see old faces and get a chance on the one's who were not li before or get a chance again on the one's that didn't have more time with Mc because they came late in the game or was a casa boy. No instead all the focus is on Chen and Henri when it comes to li, like I said I don't mind them. But most of us wanted other guys from the past. Now we can't flirt with Finn and Hamish. They might as well get rid of them, including Kat, and anyone else their bringing back from past seasons. Its just annoying, because I would bet Finn and Hamish are available towards the end. I hate last minute romance, because it feels rush. Why not make a story for Mc to sorta flirt with both Finn and Hamish. Hamish and Mc can have a rival to lover romance and Finn can have a slow burn, dealing with his ex Kat and falling for a new girl, which is our Mc. But no we are getting season 5 vibe all over again.
