Rocco let out an exasperated sound. “You’re not understanding me. I like Marisol.”  “And that’s wonderful, honest to god it is,” Cassie repeated. “But again, why didn’t you just tell me in the first place that you were looking? You could’ve just told me you didn’t actually like me like that, and you never should’ve lied about only wanting me. And I just, what was the point in picking me at the last coupling up when Marisol was right there?”  Rocco sighed, and Gary could just picture the slimy, pitiful look on his face. “I’m sorry. I was just following my heart, but…things just aren’t working out between us. Thanks for listening to me, and I hope I didn’t offend you too much.”  Wait, seriously? He just straight up wasn’t gonna answer her questions, and then pretend that he was breaking up with her?  Somehow these sorts of dramas were all much more entertaining to watch on the telly when they happened to other people, and not when they happened to pretty birds with doe brown eyes that Gary knew in real life.  Gary listened to the rustle of fabric and footsteps crossing the roof, the door creaking open and then pausing before shutting.  He sat up, grinning when Cassie yelped, staring at him wide-eyed with a hand pressed to her chest.  “What a knob, eh?”

MC is for Bobby what Lottie is for Gary -

Let me explain my theory, what I meant by that is that they are second option in both cases.

During S2, after multiple replays and different routes it’s clear to me that at ANY moment… I mean it ANY moment Gary would leave Lottie and run to MCs arms, even if his route is a bit more of a slow burn.

Bobby on the other hand, I think he is possibly the standard LI. And still even if we could be with him the whole time, it’s a mess and he needs constant reassurance. And even if you do reassure him at every chance it’s still not enough for him to have your back. He still makes sure to check and take care of Lottie’s needs before MCs at every chance, when he makes her cupcakes because Rocco left (even if MC is the one in a couple with him, Bobby still goes to Lottie) back from Casa they kind of decide to sleep together, even if it ends up not happening or it does I can’t even remember, but he never comes to MC, even when MC is still single and in the same boat as them.

It’s just like he does not care at all in my opinion and couldn’t be bothered to.

So that’s another way that Bobby simply sucks. And that’s why Gary is a gem 💎

pls tell me i'm not the only one annoyed at the newest season of love island the game??? I don't know how much longer I can stand MC being God's Gift to Humanity. Why isn't she allowed to have any other traits than being utterly perfect??? Why is every single character obsessed with her and so far up her ass they're crawling out of her mouth??? This is like the polar opposite of S5 where MC was treated like she personally started every single plague since the dawn of time, but they both bring about the same level of gritting-my-teeth-rolling-my-eyes frustration

and with both I had to play them parallel to S2 and/or S4 just so I could bask in MC being treated like a normal human being and not like she's going to personally cause the extinction of the human race or solve world hunger with a snap of her fingers

Emily linked her arm through Masie’s, tugging her closer. “Yeah, May, you’ve been really sweet to me.” Sending a half serious, half teasing look to the boys she went on, “the lads would be mad not to pick you to stay in the villa.”  But Masie shook her head. “Only if you stay with me, Em.”  “Deal,” the other girl laughed.  They performed a complicated one-handed handshake, ending with them snapping their fingers, and giggling at each other.  “It might not be so bad if you two and Shannon got to stay,” Gary said. “I think the other girls would get on well with all of you, and I know Rahim’s well gone on Shannon, of course, she’s dead interesting. She said she brought some playing cards, I’d love to play tonight.”  Bobby poked him. “You’d lose your shirt, mate. She’s a professional.”  “Yeah, and don’t forget you owe Cassie one of your shirts,” Emily reminded him, winking. “Would hate for you to lose them all to Shannon.”  Gary warmed, secretly pleased for the opening to talk about the girls. “You saw that?”

You catch yourself staring at Gary and gently biting your lip as you think about this. With those looks, I’m not surprised…

Gary notices you looking, and smiles back at you. "You like what you see, Grace?"

“Um…” You felt shy all of a sudden and could feel your cheeks warm up.

Gary’s smile transforms into a sly smirk. "You wanna know why the ladies call me Fred Flintstone?" 

You let out a soft groan, "Oh, no."

Bobby literally bounces on his feet in excitement. “I do.”

You're shaking your head in a no gesture.

“Cos I can make your bed rock!” Gary chuckles and winks at you. You slapped your forehead at that terrible joke while the other boys burst out laughing.

Priya stares at him in horror and shock. “How you’ve managed to get anyone into bed with that kind of line…”

Gary continued looking at you with a goofy grin plastered on his face. You couldn’t help but smile back, and his eyes lit up.

“I think that’s hilarious.” Ibrahim said with another laugh.

In the Beach Hut, Grace's interview: “Seeing that goofy grin plastered on his face did make me smile. I do like someone who tries to make me laugh.”
