Self care comes in many forms and actions. Sometimes it means taking a warm bath, going to the spa.. getting your daily workout in, eating nutritious foods and Superfood shakes.. and sometimes it simply means accepting medicine and listening to your body, when your body says enough is enough. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Well today, my body said “enough is enough” and we had to stop 🛑 my second bag of chemotherapy because I was developing hives up my arm. Not to worry everyone, I got 90%of the second bag in my system so I’m sure I’m not missing enough of the chemo drug to be enough. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ I urge all of you to listen to your body. 👂 🤫 When it whispers, take a step back, listen with intent and proceed in the direction your body is telling you to go!! ⠀ ⠀ ➡️➡️ Scroll to see photos of me at my appointment. Every now and again a moment comes along that proves to you that you are exactly where you are supposed to be. I had one of those moments today as I sat in the presence of an artist so passionate about her work and connecting with the world. Her message and purpose aligns perfectly with one of the big lessons I learned this year which was to live authentically in my truth. #MaryJBlige is a true inspiration and a personal symbol to me that helps me gain closure as I move onto the next chapter of my life. Nathan Myers

Patient Name: Nathan Pierce Myers Date of Birth: January 19th, 1995 Gender: Male Physical Description: Approximate height is 5'10. Brown hair, brown eyes.  Location: Room 12, floor three, isolation wing. Diagnosis: Nathan was diagnosed with acute schizophrenia at a young age. He has claimed to speak with a voice that insists that he commit truly heinous crimes. According to Nathan, the voice is only quiet after Nathan has committed such a crime.

To compound matters, Nathan is one of the rare victims of congenital analgesia. This has made restraining him in the face of his violent episodes difficult.

Doctors notes: 1) Nathan has become far more subdued as of late. This is a promising turn of events. Could this new found behavior stem from the most recent pharmacological combination?

2) We've had to refrain from allowing staff with children or younger siblings from interacting with Nathan. Though understandable, their sympathetic actions could allow for disastrous consequences.
