Aerodynamics (m) | finale: black box
genre: smut, fluff, angst rating: explicit pairing: kim namjoon x female reader x idol!jungkook word count: 3.5k suggested listening: dOra maar - onlyoneof | lady - solhee | dreamcatcher + here we are - gfriend | playlist warnings: explicit language, explicit/casual/rough sex summary: after a few steamy encounters, namjoon questions your intentions. notes: the real (real) finale of aerodynamics! finally finished my nearly second 20k fic! this final chapter was inspired by an ao3 comment on one of the previous chapters, so i’m really excited to share this neat bow on the story. a special thanks to everyone who read & liked! :) navigation: ch. i | ch. ii | ch. iii | iv | v: finale. | masterlist.
black box: [in relation to flight equipment] anything that has mysterious or unknown internal functions or mechanisms.
“F-Fuck, Joon!” You cry out into the air as your nails claw into the muscles on Namjoon’s back, leaving red welts in their trails.
It was only five in the morning, and Namjoon’s cock was already rearranging your insides.
As you’re buried under the weight of Namjoon’s body, your moans come out in loud, choked grunts. He always made you loud, and a raw, primal energy was coursing through the room.
“God, your pussy is so good – fuck,” Namjoon grits out, his lips and teeth gnashing at your own. Electricity burns through your veins as you take him, his hips furiously snapping into yours.
“Namjoon, ah-” Namjoon lets out a strained grunt as you squeal, and he pushes into you – balls deep.
“Did. He. Fuck. Your. Pussy. This… good?” He grits through his teeth, punctuating each word of his ask with each roll of his hips.
Namjoon’s tan skin is glistening in a sparkling sheen of sweat above you, his muscles flexing with every slam into you.
“N-No!” You cry out in pleasure as your neck arches, pushing the base of your head further into the pillows underneath you.
“No, what?” His thick girth is still pummeling you at this point, making you gasp for breath. He glides his body up, holding himself over you before he grabs your chin to await your response.
“No, Sir.” You exhale. He gives you a satisfied smirk, his dimples pressing into his cheeks.
Namjoon’s lips and teeth immediately move to your neck to mark you, and you moan as one of your hands slides to grab the hair at the base of his skull.
“Who’s pussy is this then?” He asks, his voice gravely from exhaustion.
It’s still a surprise to Namjoon as to how you’re still able to keep up with his stamina.
“Fuck no-” You start, and Namjoon corrects you with a slam of his hips – a cry falling from your lips.
“Fuck no, Sir. It’s yours.” He licks his lips in satisfaction as you start to catch on.
“Mine?” Namjoon hits you with another buck of his hips, and you groan in delight. You nod, both of your lips and teeth clashing in a hungry embrace.
“God you’re so good at taking my cock like a little slut, huh?” He grunts out as he picks his maniacal pace back up, watching you whine and writhe beneath him. The baritone notes of his voice reverberate in your ear as his length crashes into your core over and over in a relentless heat.
“Baby, don’t fucking cum,” He tells you, demands of you – and at this point, the pleasure was raw and you were the fullest you ever felt in awhile, so you bit your lip to take your mind off your release.
Namjoon tosses you onto your side, cradling your body from behind as his hand fastens itself to your hip.
You moan as he enters you again and begins to pump into you. Each time he entered you it felt like the first time, and it was delicious. His desire permeates through you, leaving you desperate for his lips. You crane your neck to meet his plump lips behind you.
“It’s yours,” You strain your words into his lips, the pace of your encroaching pleasure suffocating your air supply.
“Baby, cum for me,” Namjoon adjusts himself, and his cock starts to drag on your g-spot, and it makes you pant. His fingers move up to roll your nipples as his cock reaches your depths.
The exchange of moans between the two of you picks up pace, and a sudden drag of his cock against your walls makes you squirt. It makes your body jerk before you settle – your breaths at a quickened pace.
“Jesus, fuck!” Namjoon howls, the waves your wetness coating his cock. He pumps into you a few more times as your walls grip him, and he releases inside of you with a steady groan.
“Fuck,” Namjoon pulls out of you, rolling you onto your back. He pins your hands above your head, and you close your eyes as his lips tenderly meet yours.
“ God, I love you,” He breathes out as he rests his sticky forehead on yours – awaiting a mutual response. The only sounds filling the silence in the room are your breaths coming down to a normal pace.
Reality settles in as you cycle through the racing thoughts in your mind – effectively causing you to slip from your high. After a moment, you open your eyes.
“Joon, I have to pee,” You look up into his dark, almond eyes for a moment before tapping his chest, signaling him to get up.
As you stand you pull a tissue from the tissue box at your bedside – wiping the mix of fluids that drizzle down your leg.
“You okay?” Namjoon asks as he watches you head toward the bathroom. “Yeah, I just have to get ready for work.” You call back.
Namjoon throws himself back into the pillows, his forearm resting over his head in disbelief.
A sudden buzz of your cell on the nightstand snaps him from his daze, and he reaches over to grab your phone. The screen lights up and he sees:
[?]: Meet me. Tonight.
You arrive from the shower – ruffling your wet hair – and Namjoon tosses your phone to the end of the bed.
“Who’s this?” Namjoon inquires, his brows furrowing together as he rests his arms behind his head.
You take a moment to look at the text, immediately knowing who it’s from.
“So you’re just looking at my phone now?” You ask, your tone pointed.
“I just don’t want you seeing other guys,” Namjoon sits up, his eyes searching yours.
“I’m not your girlfriend, Joon. You don’t get to decide what I do,” You chuckle, continuing to ruffle your wet hair with the towel that was formerly around your frame.
“Since when? I thought we were together?” He presses again, his eyes following you as you walk to the closet and pull out your uniform.
“Yeah, we’re together. Fucking together, Joon,” You say matter-of-factly.
“So what was that back there a few days ago? When you said you loved me?” At this point Namjoon is pulling on his shirt and boxers, and he parks himself at the edge of the bed.
“Pretty sure we all say stupid shit in the middle of sex, right?” You continue, and his brows come together in distress. “Oh my god, this again.” He grumbles into his hands, which now cover his mouth.
“What’d you say?” You stop in the middle of pulling on your stockings.
“Did you honestly think we’d fuck a few times and things would be back to normal?” You scoff, quickly drawing your stockings to your hips.
“I just-” Namjoon starts, but you quickly interject him.
“I cried every fucking night, Joon. Alone . Just think for one second about how it feels to have someone promise their love to you forever, only to turn everything around a week later because they’ve changed their mind?”
“Just imagine…” You scoff again as you relive what you’ve said aloud, placing your heels on your feet.
You grab your luggage in haste, heading to the door.
“I’m sorry, I-” Namjoon leaps up to grab your wrist, and you snatch away from him.
“Get the fuck off me.” His eyes are wet as he looks at you, and you glare at him – not a glint of mercy in your eyes.
You slam the door, and Joon rests his forehead on it before he bangs it with his fist in frustration a few times.
“Fuck!” He shouts, pursing his lips in regret shortly after.
***
“Something to drink?” You ask a customer on your flight, and he smiles at you.
“Sure, ginger ale?” He responds, and you nod at him.
You force yourself to smile as you pick up a few ice cubes to drop into his cup, and Taehyung tilts his head as he watches you. He hands a customer their cup before he places a hand on yours.
You look up at him, shaking your head as you force your lips up into another smile.
“Hey, you don’t seem like yourself, love,” He says warmly, his cat-like eyes boring into you with concern.
“I’m fine, really,” You assure yourself, before your eyes space out into the cup in your hands. Emotions blend inside of you, and you cover your mouth as tears well into your eyes.
“I’m sorry…” You say to Taehyung without looking up at him, and he sighs as he watches you run off.
“Miss, my drink?” The man shouts after you, as you run down the aisle and disappear into the galley.
***
You look at your watch as you descend an escalator to the bottom floor of the airport, and you sigh to yourself – still embarrassed about how you cried earlier at work.
At the bottom of the escalator is a woman in a black baseball cap, the rest of her body is also shrouded in black clothing.
The woman approaches you, and you look at her in shock before she pulls your ear to her mouth. She references a paper in her hand before crumpling it, and placing it in her pocket. She then moves back to your ear, whispering something to you as you nod.
She slips something in your pocket, and your hand follows hers to the item.
***
As you stand outside of a hotel room door, a black coat and baseball cap are now also on your frame.
Your hand slips into the same spot where the woman placed the item, and you retrieve it. You slide the item – a keycard – into the slot, and it lights up green and buzzes with assurance.
As you open the door, Jungkook is standing tall over you, his big, bright eyes brimming with excitement.
Jungkook’s still made up from the show he played that night, and you can’t help but notice his chest is bare – his prominent collarbones peeking from underneath his button up silk shirt.
You smile as you look up at him, and he moves from your space – putting his arm out to show you the room.
You take in the room: bright and glittering with glass and marble finishings, waves crashing on the beach just outside of the floor-to-ceiling windows.
“This is so beautiful, Jungkook,” You mumble into his warm lips as he bends down to kiss you. Your eyes are still forlorn as he pulls away, and he tries to bring up the mood by dragging you toward a table.
The glass table is set with utensils and cloth napkins – two meals covered with metal tops for each of you.
Your spirits lift as you take in the scents of the meals floating out from underneath their tops, and a smile curls up your lips.
There was no doubt that Jungkook had to be an extremely busy person, but even he was somehow still able to make time for you, you think to yourself.
Jungkook pulls out of your chair, and then sits down – his eyes watching you with a glimmer of mischief in them.
“Don’t look at me like that!” You cry out and he smiles at you. You can’t help but giggle, hiding your face in your hands.
“There you go. It’s beautiful when you smile,” He chuckles, chomping into the steak in front of him. Your cheeks are still nearly up to your temples as Jungkook gulps down his food.
“I hope you brought your Switch again. I won’t lose this time,” His confidence is sky high and it makes you laugh out loud.
As you eat, you notice your hair tie is still on his wrist and you smile again.
“You’re so cute. Seriously.” He tilts his head and you point at his wrist, making him blush.
“Don’t be shy now,” You tease, and his eyes get dark.
“Shy?” He asks, placing his fork down. He walks over to your side of the table and tilts your chin up, his lips enveloping yours.
Jungkook was done wasting time with you, and how quickly his lips meet yours assures you of that.
Jungkook uses his strength to lift you straight up from the seat, and you squeal as he lifts you into his arms. His lips are hungry after yours, and he falls onto the edge of the bed with you in his arms.
You unbutton his shirt as you kiss him, your hands running over his hard pecs under the soft silk. He squeezes your waist as your fingers undo the final button of the top, coaxing you further toward him.
“Clothes. Off.” His tone is hungry – serious – as he pops his lips from yours.
You stand up and strip off your top, and he pulls you by the waist in between his legs to watch you.
His large, rough hands glide up the curves of your waist and meet your breasts as you remove your bra, and it makes you exhale in satisfaction.
You finally slide out of your skirt, and he pulls you down to his lips by your ascot. He latches onto your lips again, pulling you into a horizontal position on the bed.
You sit up on top of him, the warm sensation of your core heavy on his hardening bulge. He groans at your twists on his cock through his boxers, watching you lift your fingers up to remove your ascot.
“Leave it on,” He demands as he pulls your hands down to lock behind your back. You grin into another kiss as he releases your hands and you move to remove his pants, shuffling them down his thighs.
You crawl down his body, placing kisses on his skin as you go. He sighs out as you work, his hands in your hair. You hook your index fingers into his underwear and pull them down, and his cock – already glistening with precum – springs out.
“Fuck,” He groans as you lick a stripe up his cock, your hot mouth immediately enveloping it. You bob your head up and down on him for a bit before you pop your mouth from his cock to look at him.
You crawl back on top of him and he lifts you over his head to his mouth. His tongue digs into your core, and you grip the headboard for stability. You start to squirm at the workings of his tongue, but he locks his strong arms around your thighs to keep you from moving.
“Jungkook…” You squeal, and he pulls his mouth from you – tossing you onto your back to kiss you.
His tongue parts your mouth, and the two of you battle for dominance. He nibbles your lips to assert himself, and you give in.
Jungkook moves his lips to your neck, and you breathe in the scent on his skin – ironically reminiscent of a warm ocean breeze. You return small kisses and bites to the soft skin of his neck, and his long, dark lashes meet his skin as he closes his eyes in bliss. He croons out a moan, and you chuckle as each moan comes out in a similar fashion. He was definitely a singer, you laugh to yourself .
You yelp as Jungkook suddenly lifts you into his arms again, and he laughs as you clutch his shoulders.
“That never gets old,” You giggle, as he places your back near a wall. Your head cranes back as he places a thrust into your gut, your body moving with the impact. His hands clutch your ass tighter and he continues, picking up the pace.
You groan in impatience as you chase your high, and he speeds up to satisfy you. Your hands latch onto his bulging biceps, his own strength enough to keep your weight up.
Each of his soft moans lands in your ear, and it only brings you closer to the edge.
Jungkook quickly slips out of you, placing you on the floor. He spins you around, pressing you to the wall with his weight. He swiftly enters you, and you moan. After a few thrusts into you, he tugs you back by your ascot – the fabric firmly in his fist.
“Fuck me,” You mumble, and he presses his fingers deeper into your waist. Your hand slides up his tattooed arm, and back down to his tattooed hand – moving it toward your clit. He rubs circles into the sensitive nub as you continue to cry out as he pounds into you.
“Harder,” You plead, and he uses the ascot to yank you to his ear – your neck flexing all the way back as he grunts into your skin.
Jungkook places a pointed thrust into you and you cry out as his cock spills you both over the edge. He places one final kiss on the back of your neck, the rapid pace of both of your breaths still in the air.
The two of you crawl back into bed with your Switch devices, and you giggle as you crawl to nest yourself in Jungkook’s arm.
“I’ll have to show you again who’s the very best,” You rest your head on his chest, snuggling into him.
“Man, you just don’t give up!” He giggles out, slapping his thigh.
“Nope.” You smile to yourself, satisfied. You quickly think about what it means to not give up , and your smile falls for a brief moment. You sigh, bringing your awareness back to the game in front of you.
***
A particularly loud crash of a wave wakes you, and your eyes squint at the prominent sunshine through the window. Jungkook’s heavy arm drapes over your side, his nose nuzzled into the back of your neck.
As you stir, he inhales – his warm breath tickling the back of your neck as he exhales into your skin.
You reach over for your phone, sighing as soon as you see the screen.
[JOONIE]: [39 MISSED CALLS]
You rest your hand under your cheek for a moment, taking in what you just saw. Your eyes float over the view for a moment, before you sigh again.
“Good morning,” Jungkook whispers as you turn over to face him, and your lips meet before his eyes even open. You take a moment to look at him, your thumb gliding over his soft cheek.
“We can’t do this again,” You say in a quiet voice, your eyes examining his own.
“There’s someone else, isn’t there?” He chuckles sadly into your cheek, pressing one last kiss into it.
“I know,” He grazes your nose with his lips. “Thank you. For everything ,” You say softly.
Jungkook’s doe eyes follow you as you stand and get dressed, and it crushes you a bit as you watch him.
He smiles as you wave to him before shutting the door, and he sighs, plopping his head back on the bed.
***
You’re face-to-face with the door of Namjoon’s apartment, and you sigh as you stare at it. After a few beats you insert your key, and turn the knob.
As you enter, you gently shut the door and press your back to it.
You stand in silence – hands behind your back as your head hangs low. You sniffle a few times as you wipe a few gathering tears from your eyes.
You hear heavy steps in the back of the apartment, and Namjoon sticks his head out from his room. He sees you, his eyes springing into wide circles of relief. He runs, bringing himself to stand in front of you.
“Namjoon, I’m sorry, I-” Namjoon shakes his head, his eyes still wide.
“I’m the one who should apologize.” He interjects, as he gently places his hands on your shoulders.
“I think I’m just freaked out – scared – at how much I love you,” The honest confession of emotions causes your words to waver. He brings you into his warm chest in an embrace.
“We’ve been here before. And I’m scared, Joon,” You cry out into his chest, and he kisses the top of your head. “I know…” He responds, his voice hoarse with regret.
“I know…” He trails off. “I had to come to terms with making the biggest mistake of my life,” Namjoon pulls you from his chest by your shoulders to look at you.
“I’m so sorry. I really fucked up,” He pleads as your foreheads meet to rest on each other. He starts to cry himself as your eyes are still focused on the ground.
“Joon, I-” His eyes lock into yours as he thumbs away your tears, and he silences you with his lips.
You reciprocate, your hands meeting his shoulders. As you sort through your emotions, your arms move to gradually wrap around his neck as he tips you backward. He uses the momentum of dipping you back to spring you up into his arms, and you fasten your arms and legs around him.
“We can start all over. From the beginning if we need to,” He whispers as you look at his shiny, dark eyes – your hands cupping his cheeks. You thumb away his tears as you search his eyes, which are glimmering with hope.
“I need you to know your heart is safe. You’re safe with me now,” Namjoon assures you. You nod, looking at him for a few more moments before you turn your head to press your lips to his.
As you pull back from the kiss, you look at him again.
“I love you so much, Joonie,” You whisper in relief.
“I love you, too,” He responds, the pressure finally out of his voice.
Namjoon’s dimples pop into his cheeks in relief as you kiss him again.

How Fe and Fi listen to music
Disclaimer: what you’ll find in this article is more a blogging coming from our personal experience than something strictly related to type theory. We found analogies that in some ways reflect the mutual differences between us mods, but please don’t read this as a way to generalize things or to say that this is what every Fi and Fe users feel or think. We want to share thoughts and prompts in our type blogging, so feel free to add something if you’d like!
INFJ mod
The first and most relevant truth about me and music is that, as a high Fe user, music can influence my feelings and heavily change my mood. But this may sound natural, right? Is it not common to listen to music as a way to delve into your feelings? Well, at least for me, high Fe enhances this, because it makes me susceptible to the emotional state of the environment, thus I’m receptive of the slightest changes in it. I can feel calm and relaxed, and then walk into a bar with a sad song on and suddenly feel gloomy. This happens to me a lot and that’s the main reason why I need to listen to specific songs in certain contexts. Otherwise I’ll feel something unwanted, and my Fe will kick in and just tell me: “well, that’s too much feelings to bare, right? Let’s just feel uneasy and overthink about future scenarios with our buddy Ni”.
Talking about contexts, my number one rule about music is: it must enhance my emotional state in a positive way. When I’m in a bad mood I tend to avoid music, because I’m in a frail emotional state and even a sad song may be too much for me. On the opposite, if I’m ok, music is a tool to feel better, and if I’m cheerful and relaxed it can even make me feel energized and galvanized, which are very pleasurable emotional states. Why? Because as an enneagram 6, this is not the rule, as overthinking is one of my best friends. I’m working on it, farewells to childhood friends are always heartbreaking, but we must say goodbye to each other. I’m in better company now - hi anxiety. (Just kidding. R-right?)
As an activity deeply tied to my emotional state and able to change it, I need to listen to music when I’m in a specific mood. Like I stated above, this usually happens when I feel relaxed or cheerful. There are days when I take the train, pull out my smartphone and play my go-to playlist, while others when I just don’t feel like it because I’m too upset or melancholic and I avoid the emotional turmoil caused by music. Sometimes I listen to my “typical energizing songs” after dinner to refresh my tired body and mind. But don’t expect something like reggaeton, disco or electronic music. Not that I'm against those genres, but there are simply other songs that make me feel better and give me energy. I love (and i mean l-o-v-e) listening to videogames or anime ost. I know, I’m not your average INFJ who listens to sad songs and cries in a corner (not that I need music to cry in a corner, that’s it). Jazz, pop, sometimes rock and funky-ish music are what usually brings me out of my videogames and anime playlist and allows me to enjoy more traditional genres.
Music is also an inspiring tool. Although I’m not a professional writer, it’s a passion I have and something i’m still nurturing and learning, and I always need a certain song to fit a specific mood, scene or character. Those are exceptions to the rule, so I find pleasure in sorrowful songs. If I’m outlining an unpleasant scene or I’m planning a negative character, music must reflect the context and put me in that mood. In this way I can empathize with a character and feel and visualize the scene vividly.
ENFP mod
To me, music is literally a soundtrack. I live with my earbuds on, and listen to music while travelling, working on projects and so on. For this very reason, I enjoy a very broad variety of genres and artists, and I literally have different kinds of music that match my mood or the situation I’m in. If I’m sad or upset, I need sad music. If I’m enduring something or I’m under stress, I need something powerful. If it’s the end of a trip, I go for bittersweet lyrics. This tends to vary based on the emotions I’m feeling, but generally speaking there’s no way, ever, that I will listen to a song that doesn’t match my mood or what I need in that moment. At best, my emotional state is “neutral” and thus I summon the supreme power of the shuffle button.
Despite what I wrote before, my approach to music is very casual - which is a polite way to say that I’m lazy. I’m not very curious, there are genres that I cannot listen to because I don’t like them. Since music is deeply intertwined with how I feel, you could say I almost need a reason to listen to something. More often than not the reason is that the sound is catchy or the lyrics are meaningful - but lately I discovered that with the right context or the right amount of pop mixed into it, I can literally appreciate anything. So, well, good job jrpg games for putting power epic metal, pop rap and jazz into my playlists. This variety is important because I (my Fi, I think) often physically need music to shut the noise out and reflect - or simply feel. Especially when I’m feeling bad, or angry, or sad, or disappointed, music is a way to live through those emotions and understand them better. This is why, to me, a cheerful idol song on a blue monday is literally like someone stepping by my side and shouting “everything will be fine!!”. Gosh, just let me be sad and dwell into my sadness, Karen.
Typically I listen to music while commuting, or generally while travelling - especially if alone, or by car. I listen and enjoy the view outside the window, or maybe I reflect on something and let my mind wander. I rarely turn the volume up while reading or writing or studying, but I don’t mind ost and instrumental pieces while revising or organizing notes. Generally speaking, I noticed that I tend to listen to music way more often when I’m not at home.
I’m studying in a creative field that has also ties with communication, so I’m learning how important music is from a narrative point of view. I used to draw years ago, and now I write in my free time. Music is fundamental in my creative process in two aspects: ideas, and mood. I literally brainstormed entire plots just from casually listening to a song, because the lyrics or the artists reminded me of something else. My Ne works with associations, and music is one of the best way to let my imagination free from restraints - not that this usually doesn’t happen anyway I guess. But at the same time songs are ideal for setting a specific mood, finding a leitmotif or generally finding inspiration.

Writing Inspiration
Hi all,
I thought I’d pop on and do a little something to help pep others up. Here are some of my tried and true methods of inspiring myself to write, separated into categories:
BOOKS - Read about the craft of writing... or pick up a book in your genre (or an entirely new one!)
On Writing by: Stephen King
Writer to Writer and Writing Magic by: Gail Carson Levine*
No Plot, No Problem by: Chris Baty
The Harry Potter series - J. K. Rowling
The Hobbit + Lord of the Rings series - J. R. R. Tolkien
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
The Shades of Magic series - V. E. Schwab
Poetry (Emily Dickinson, Rainer Maria Rilke, Shel Silverstein, and e.e. cummings are my favorites)
Brain Storm by: Don Hahn
Reading Like a Writer by: Francine Prose
The Writer’s Journey by: Christopher Vogler*
Writing Down the Bones by: Natalie Goldberg*
The Art of Fiction by: John Gardner*
Steering the Craft by: Ursula K. Le Guin*
The Plot Thickens by: Noah Lukeman*
MOVIES - Watch a movie that sparks your creativity, or at least makes you happy to be a writer!
Howl’s Moving Castle (based on a book)
Spirited Away
The Little Princess (based on a book)
The Secret Garden (based on a book)
Secondhand Lions
Midnight in Paris
Dan in Real Life
Stuck in Love
ARTISTRY - Pick up a new hobby or research something new!
Knitting - you can make your friends/family/self nice things, and helps you check your tension in your hands/wrists!
Drawing - being able to draw your characters how you see them (and not based on a faceclaim) is super helpful!
Paleontology - dinosaurs are cool! No stories with dinosaurs? Maybe think about it after doing some research. Or human-dinosaur hybrids?
Space - space is INSANE. After even an hour of a wikipedia research, you’ll get sucked in forever.
Plants - try Wicked Plants by Amy Stewart*, The Book of Herbal Wisdom by Matthew Wood*, or Botany in a Day by Thomas J. Elpel*; helpful if your characters don’t have access to modern medicine!
Baking - not only will let you create something edible (YUM!) but you get to take out your frustration on kneading/stirring/whisking for a bit. Baking is all about precision, while cooking is more loosey-goosey. Any characters you can think of that are the same way?
Psychology - self explanatory; You are a human and your characters are supposed to be human-like (unless they’re dogs or aliens or cryptids or something cool), so psychology can only help in all of these instances. Read into gender, school systems, honesty, willpower, etc.
Anatomy - self explanatory; Characters get stabbed, shot, punched, etc. all the time... a little research on anatomy and physiology will go a long way in knowing which arteries are where, why bruises change color, what happens if you get punched in the face, etc.
MISCELLANY
Avatar the Last Airbender (watch it at least once if you never have)
Adventure Time (silly and heartwarming and weird)
Make playlists for your different wips! It’s distracting and relaxing! I use spotify!
Rewrite a scene from one of your favorite books. In your ideal world, what would happen instead?
Fill out character sheets! I can send you some if you need ideas!
Try out a website like WorldAnvil and get your story up there!
Write a fan-fiction! Pick one of your favorite stories/movies/shows and make your own character. What happens when you plop them in your favorite chapter/episode/scene?
Watch a video/listen to a podcast about writing! My dad got me into Brandon Sanderson’s youtube videos about writing, and I’ve been watching one during my “lunch break” every day.
Try comics! (Webtoon is an excellent app for reading them on your phone/on-the-go! I’d recommend Heartstopper, Let’s Play, Purple Hyacinth, SubZero, Lore Olympus, Castle Swimmer, Miss Abbott and the Doctor, Drawn to You by Hat-Chan, Third Shift Society, Blood Ink, Hooky, Muted, The Devil is a Handsome Man, Ava’s Demon, and tons more!)
Most of all, don’t feel pressure to publish anything. Don’t feel like you have to be productive right now. Keep your head above water and try to make time to write every day, even if it’s just a sentence or two. Hope these help!

(Books with asterisks are on my TBR (to be read) pile/list, but I haven’t read them yet, or have only read bits of them!)

I got tagged by @goodbibarbarella ! Thanks!!
Posting late. As usual.
Rules: Answer the ten questions given and write ten new ones for ten other people.
1. Is there a piece of modern media that has inspired your creativity the most?
Usually the things that inspire me the most is whatever I’m into and it can change at the moment. I do have some things that I do enjoy for a lot longer. For a while, it’s been Dragon Age, now I’m kind of looking into past fandoms that I enjoyed but was never a part of.
2. Do you have to finish a book once you’ve started it, or are you able to walk away if it doesn’t interest you?
I used to be able to read an entire book before I move on to the next one. Sadly, I can barely read two pages before my mind wanders (even if it’s something I’m interested in - I’ll still read comics) and I put it down. Hence, I haven’t read a whole book in a long time and prefer audiobooks since I’ll be able to do other things while I listen.
3. Do you wait until you’ve finished a current project before you start a new one, or are you the kind of person that has a folder full of WIPs?
I usually have multiple projects running simultaneously, although I can only focus at one at a time. For a few months, I was only drawing patterns, now I’m focused on doing Inktober featuring my own characters because I haven’t drawn them in ages. Also that gives me chances to develop some of them further.
Inktober has since passed but now I’m working on my sketchbooks and patterns and planning to go back on working on my personal projects like my story hopefully soon!
4. Do things have to be just right for you to be able to write, or can you write wherever/whenever?
Has to be just right, unfortunately or else I won’t be able to focus at all.
5. Do you have a favorite terrible book?
If favorite terrible book means something that’s fun to riff and make a bit more tolerable, then 50 shades :| :|
6. Do you have a OTP? A NOTP? A BROTP?
Not at the moment! There’s a few that I don’t like, especially if the character feels unredeemable or are generally terrible, although a few of my faves are problematic. Some of my own OCs are BROTP! Sorry it’s so vague!!
7. Do you write fanfiction? If yes, what was the first piece/fandom you wrote?
The one I wrote and posted online many years ago was one for a game called Evolution Worlds but it’s bad because it’s also a crossover fic and I think some of my own OCs made it in. A revised version of it is still up on Fanfiction.net (rip)
8. Do you find drawing, writing, or reading more relaxing?
More for drawing. I’m still super critical of my writing so the very few that make it online may not even stay online. Even when I draw bad, I can see what I need to work on and fix the issue later. With my writing, I’m not so good with that and don’t really see immediately what I need to improve on.
9. What is your favorite cliché trope - to read and/or write?
Redemption arcs even if it doesn’t fully work 100% and it depends on the character, if they have a chance and are willing to take it and change.
10. How many journals do you have? Describe the prettiest one/your favorite
I don’t have pretty journals :[ I do have sketchbooks that I get binded in Office Max that I use for my art and/or notes. They’re quite plain with a plastic cover and a hard cover for the back.I like these because it’s with paper that I’ll use (I’m picky with papers :v )
I bind my own sketchbook now >D They’re super plain but I have it with a thick plastic cover and a black polymer back. I also threw in a page of no render paper so if I want to design my own covers for them, I can. And I can use whatever paper I want!
I also got tagged by @chupacabrasmustdie !! Will do both on one post because that’s how I roll because I’m too slow!
1. When it comes to character creation, what comes first to you, looks or personality? Something else?
Sometimes, I design the character first, then work out their personality and other times I kind of have an idea about a character’s personality, then I have to design a character based off that. I usually create characters wearing bland clothes, then have to go back and make them more unique. Remembers the time all my characters just have T-shirts and jeans.
2. Do you make playlists, inspiration boards, aesthetics, whatever? Why?
Sometimes I do, but usually I don’t because I usually get stuck trying to find stuff to use that I can credit back to and that’s also stock/creative commons for things that require photos I didn’t take. As for music, I’m not good with that because I’m not familiar with most music and I have a hard time trying to figure out what is fitting. I usually don’t pay attention to lyrics but more of the music itself either.
3. Have you ever changed/dropped a character because you felt you’d put too much of yourself into them?
There are characters I have the end up being overdeveloped and I usually take traits that don’t really fit the character and give it to another character. So it’s not much of dropping the character in this case but they might end up changinng enough that they feel like they’re a different character.
4. Do you have a Fictional Character Type™?
Don’t know what this is :[
5. If you write – how do you write? On paper, on computer? On your phone? Do you have a designated software / workspace?
I tend to go old school and write on paper, seeing most of the times I get inspired to write something, I’m away from the house. It would be awesome to have a designated work area where I can focus on stuff I need to get done.
6. Still on the writing topic – do you have a beta reader? Why?
No I don’t but I would love to hire someone to help structure the story for my comic because I still haven’t figured out how it should go. Also would like one for when I occasionally do writings, which is rare (planning to try to do NaNo this year)
7. Now for something more domestic – do you put music on to do chores? What genre/artist?
No, I suffer in silence when I do chores. I celebrate the completion of said chores with music afterwards and it’s usually whatever I feel like listening to and/or what shows up first on Youtube.
8. Do you like to cook for other people?
I don’t cook that much but sure! I’m hoping I’ll be able to cook more and experiment with new recipes!
9. Is there something you’re really enjoying atm? Hobby, sport, media, it’s all good.
Right now, I JUST started playing Grand Theft Auto V and I can see it already trying to take over my life. The world immersion is great and there’s cats and smartcars???
I’ve finally gotten over my GTAV obsession and now I’m playing Fallout 4 because I really, really want to beat that game. So far, I reached the Institute so I’m slowly getting there!
10. Anything you’re looking forward to in 2018 *knocks on wood*?
I’m looking forward to hopefully Titanic: Honor and Glory game finally getting released so I can explore the Titanic!! I’ve played the demos that have came out so far and it looks amazing so far!!!
Also finding a job and possibly moving out??
Possibly moving out in a few months and then hopefully finding a job afterwards!! Also, still looking forward to the game.

21 Questions Tag!
Wrote this up a couple days ago but a quick update on my whereabouts: currently going through finals, submitted a final assignment, and am now taking advantage of my free time!
I was tagged by @leannao! :)
1. Short stories, novels or poems?
I primarily write novels, but recently completed a short story with @sarahkelsiwrites and @imdisappointed and had a lot of fun! Short fiction is definitely a form I’ve yet to break into, but I plan on doing so as soon as I can! Short stories are really satisfying to look back on I dunno why.
2. What genre do you prefer reading?
Contemporary is my jammm.
3. What genre do you prefer writing?
I prefer writing contemporary also, though 5/8 books I’ve written are a veryyyy soft dystopian. @sarahkelsiwrites and I were just talking about how weird my dystopians are? The FOSTERED books are kind of straight up contemporary at this point with dystopian elements. lol.
4. Are you a planner or a write-as-I-go kind of person?
This really depends! I’m currently planning a few projects, whereas I’ve pantsed all of my novels besides I’M DISAPPOINTED (which was half pantsed lol). Though, when I’m writing, I like to have an idea of the scene I’m going into, so I do a bit of both.
5. What music do you listen to while writing?
Sometimes I don't listen to music while writing (which has become increasingly more common lol), but since my house is usually a very loud place, I’ll put on either the book’s playlist, or Daughter (particularly Music From Before the Storm since it’s primarily instrumental). My favourite bands that are on these playlists: Current Joys, The Strokes, Daughter (bless), Surf Curse, Ed Sheeran, Whitney.
6. Fave books/movies?
Oooh. My favourite book since I was 11 has been The Host by Stephenie Meyer. The atmosphere in that book always gets me lol. I haven’t read it in a couple of years, so I’d have to see how I’d fair at this point in time (a re-read this year is probs coming via audiobook), but reading that book always felt like going home! The Darkest Minds trilogy is also one of my all time faves, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews gives me so much life, All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven has impacted and improved my quality out of life by 250%, and Bitterblue by Kristen Cashore is so blessed (the audiobook is EXCELLENT). (I re-read it twice in the span of like 4 months??) As for movies, my favourite movie of life is the adaptation of Me and Earl and the Dying Girl (the screenplay is 10/10, the cinematography is 10/10, the colour grading tHO). Across the Universe also steals my heart, and is in a close second place!
7. Any current WIPs?
Yep! I’m currently having a *very* hard time finishing the last book in my behemoth FOSTERED series! I’m also outlining this series’ spinoff (and have been doing so for a year lol)! I’m also (very slowly) planning a contemporary called SIXTEEN CENTS (tho this has been a thing for almost three years so progress is snail pace ha).
8. If someone were to make a cartoon out of you, what would your standard outfit be?
I love this question so much. My standard outfit is literally the angstiest angst outfit, @sssoto has seen proof ha. For the winter my go to angst outfit is:
- A black t-shirt from value village
- Black jeans also from value village
- A black trench coat that reaches like mid-calves from my mom
- A black beanie i got from the dollar store
- Black gloves if I need ‘em from walmart HA
- Knockoff black doc martens that I got from the thrift store for 8 bucks bless
(do you see the trend)
^^^ This
like everything is black I'm an amorphous blob I am literally a vortex I am a black hole I love this??
The summer version of this is pretty similar it goes like:
- A black t-shirt
- Black jeans
- Any sort of grungy jacket from the thrift store (I have a bit of a jacket obsession, literally can’t exit Value Village without a new one thrifting is life)
- These shoes my mom gave me:
The topmost sneakers are me, the lit oxfords are @sarahkelsiwrites’ staple and in this photo we are hanging at a Surf Curse show ha (picture is also Sarah’s).
9. Create a character description for yourself:
Oh myyyyy. I’m going to do this list-style because I feel like I’ll do a really bad job if I actually write one lol
- Could be your local cashier at Hot Topic
- “Local edgy goth kid smoking a skinny cigarette at the corner store.” --@imdisappointed)
(tho I don't smoke)
- Kind of clunky and awkward
- Shoulder length blue hair that sometimes clashes with her skin tone and makes her look like an Oompa Loompa
- Lopsided face tho it’s kind of charming sort of
- Wears black square-ish glasses of which always fall off her face, hence face is always semi scrunched up to anchor said glasses to face
- Eyes always are shut halfway so she always looks unamused/uninterested/pissed off/contemplating life
^^^ Example A do you see the eyelid thing HA and this is my ‘trying to model well’ face so I mean, I guess it’s worse IRL? oh my i have resting angst face
When did this become a roast yourself, lolz
10. Do you actually like incorporating people you actually know into your writing?
No, I don’t usually! This obviously still occurs subconsciously, so a couple of my characters will most likely have qualities of people I know. The most notable of these would probably be my best friend Ashley @imdisappointed, and @sarahkelsiwrites! I don’t think many other people make subtle appearances in any of my books. For example, Ash has inspired maaaaany attributes of characters (@ Ben’s sarcasm and memey life, @ Darren’s hugs and excellent listening skillz, @ Harrison’s humour, @ Sydney’s eyes @ Sydney’s love for puns), and Sarah has inspired a ton too (@ Harrison x Lonan’s Mom of the Group vibes, @ Lonan’s Get to the Point attitude/Girl You Better Have Some Facts To Back Up Your Point Cuz Actually spirit, @ Spencer’s style/Spencer).
Though I wouldn’t say these attributes were taken directly from these two amazing people and put into my books, since I don’t actively do this (unless I’m like, naming a random side character and want to give them shout outs). Funny though, I did say yesterday that I’d really like to base a character off my dog Liuna (pronounced LUNA don’t ask lolz), because she would be this hella amazing confident character? Like? Liuna human needs to happen?? She would?? Actually?? Be?? Lonan?? Though? Did I base Lonan off my dog??
Liuna: left, Samson: right.
(so real quick cute story Luna the name [minus the i] means moon and Samson means sun and we adopted Samson so i mean if this AINT MEANT TO BE)
11. Are you kill-happy with characters?
Ha, 12-year-old Rachel would’ve said yes because apparently a book wasn’t a book unless someone died?? I now rarely kill off characters, though. The last time I killed off a character was in FOSTERED #4 ha.
12. Dream job?
It’s sort of ironic that I’m not going to say writer for this, because that is what I plan to study in uni and what I do spend all of my life doing. I just don’t think (right now at least) that I could be a very good full time writer/use that time productively. I think it would take a ton of time to adjust to writing full time, and hasn’t ever really been my endgame. I know a lot of people I know in real life assume I know what career path I’d like to go down, when in actuality, I don’t really know! Anything creative, I guess I’m lucky in that way, where I have a lot of creative outlets I’m passionate about. I’ve been saying I’d like to work in film for a bit, so maybe that?
13. Coffee or tea while writing?
Okk, so I figured this was a perfect opportunity to confess something lol: I don’t like coffee.
*ah*
*but why*
*ur account is called coffee and calligraphy ahh what**
I used to really enjoy coffee when I was veryyy young, and again when I was 12-14 (around when I created this blog ha), but I’m not a huge fan anymore. I don’t have anything against it or anything, and if I’m going to drink it, I’ll usually like it because I’m not picky (but I can’t do it with homemade coffee anymore ah) so I guess saying I dislike it is sorta untrue. Though I will gladly drink store bought coffee! GREEN TEA on the other hand. Green tea is my *bitch* yes. Love me some green tea. I drink like 15 cups of that shit a dayyyy fam. I’m a green tea connoisseur I’ve been tasting green tea my whole liiiife fam.
14. Slow or fast writer?
I used to be a fast writer, but now I’m pretty slow. I used to write 2.5 books a year that were of substantial length (like 100k+?), but now I can’t do that. It’s taken me almost four months to draft 25k of Rewired lol. Though I shouldn’t say this because I’m sure my pace will slow down even more. I’m not mad about this particularly though because the quality of writing has sky-rocketed since I slowed down!
15. Where/who/what do you find inspiration from?
This is a fun question because right now I’m v/ uninspired… So it’s making me think! I’ll draw inspo from music mainly? Maybe television shows/movies for mood and tone. Nick’s lyrics in Current Joys inspires me to think about Clifford (and then make fun of Clifford because that’s my favourite thing to do lolz). Photographs are nice, though I guess I don’t really draw inspiration from too many things!
16. if you were put into a fantasy world, what would you be?
@sarahkelsiwrites and I were talking about this in math class and I decided I would be the annoying peasant who talks too much and does nothing helpful to resolve the world’s various problems until the end where I accidentally do something that actually helps!
17. Most fave book cliche? Least face book cliché?
I really enjoy the sassy best friend or lowkey sassy best friend lol. My least favourite cliché would be insta-romance probably? Insta-romance often kills my ability to enjoy the book because the romantic subplot progresses wayyyy too fast which affects the main plot oftentimes and so then the pacing feels very off/like I missed out on 50% of the book.
18. Fave places to write:
My kitchen table! It was actually super uncomfortable to sit at my table until we recently replaced it, but it’s always been my fave, just because there’s a huge window to my right and I loooove sunlight. I can’t really write anywhere else, ha. The kitchen table is also around two feet away from the kettle, so endless green tea.
19. Fave scenes to write?
I’ve recently been writing a lot of developing friendship scenes ft. character flaws, so that could be one. I also enjoy scenes with any sort of tension which is broad, but if my MC is conflicted, it’s a yes from me. Romantical happenings are also fun lol.
20. Most productive time of day for writing?
After 7PM
21. Reason for writing?
I literally love the answer @leannao put for this:
Constantly daydreaming and thinking about imaginary people without writing would feel like missing the best part of my life.
I like giving characters stories. I think all of them have lives of their own, and if I didn’t write their stories, I’d prevent them from having their home. Also when I find a really great verb or adjective and the sentence clicks into place and it’s blessed—that’s a huge source of ahh life is blessed this is why I write for me.
This was super fun! I’m going to tag @sarahkelsiwrites, @sssoto and @shaelinwrites to do this if you haven't already!

Hey, I'm trying to get used to doing art again and was wondering if there were any methods of becoming more confident with what you create/ overcoming art block. Love your art btw!
Hey thanks! Actually, to be quite honest, i struggle with confidence as well. I don’t think there’s a single artist that doesn’t, even to a small degree.
Now some people would say things like “don’t compare yourself to other artists” and, fact of the matter is, that’s impossible. BUT there is nothing really wrong with comparing yourself especially if you do what I try to do. I’ll compare my art to other fannibal artists for example and think “What is my art lacking? How can I fix the proportions? How can I get better at backgrounds? What can I do to make my line art better?” and I seek out the answers in other art that I like because that is how we grow as artists. I do not seek to replicate, but I want my style to evolve based off of what I’ve learned. There are still many things I need to work on, but compared to my earliest art on this blog I feel I have come a very long way.
I would recommend watching youtube tutorials. Not only are they informative, but they also give insight into another’s perspective and often times you’ll find someone who you can relate with. It showed me that there are others who share my issues with art and they’re about to show me ways to overcome and improve.
I wish I could find all the vids I have seen, but this vid is a part of a playlist and I found it to be very useful. It has a long intro, but even the intro was worth it because he breaks down some concepts verbally before actually showing it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0ufz75UvHs&list=WL&index=5&t=61s
(Also, don’t seek out speedpaints hoping to learn from them because you won’t learn much. They’re good entertainment and that’s about it.)
As far as coming out of an art block goes, there’s no solid answer for that in my opinion because we’re all different. For me, Hannibal brought me out from my years-long art rut and now drawing is all i ever want to do above having a social life and all else.
Do some self-assessments. Ask yourself why you chose to create art in the first place? Was it for the simple fact that you love it? Do you do it to cope with something? Do you do it to seek out popularity? What was your muse before? Ask yourself these kinds of things because sometimes we get into art blocks because we lose sight of why we do what we do.
We sometimes feel that our art is insignificant compared to others because it may not get all the attention we feel it deserves and so we sometimes ask ourselves, “What’s the point?” I ask myself that from time to time, but I just remind myself of positive things. I may not be popular with a huge base of fans like some other artists, but there are some people who like what I do and honestly that is good enough for me. It uplifts me knowing that even a couple of people like what I do. I have my set of insecurities I constantly battle with (my close mutuals can attest to that), but I just simply remind myself of the positives.
If you’re ever asking yourself “why does no one care about my art no matter what I do?” Don’t give up so soon. Nothing happens over night with art. Go back to what I mentioned before. Look at the art from artists you look up to. Try and break down what you think they did to achieve it. Surround yourself with what inspires you whether it be other art, anime, music, movies, architecture, flowers, etc. I know it can be hard to find the motivation, but once you finally push yourself and say “I’M GOING TO DO THIS” and actually do the thing, then you’ll find it’s quite easy to get sucked into it.
Finally I just want to close this long ass post off to say that as long as you put your heart into it, then it isn’t bad art. Some people may be more proficient at certain techniques, but no artist is really better than another. If you ever feel discouraged, try and remind yourself of the positives. Sometimes ranting to a friend can help. Don’t have anyone to rant to? I’ll listen. Idk if this answer will help you at all, but I’m hoping that it at least somewhat points you in the right direction.

AMA Transcript: I got 99 problems and Medusa is all of them
This weekend, @adulterclavis (Bones) and @eisschirmchen dropped by to talk about their 2016 Resbang, I got 99 problems and Medusa is all of them. Here's some of what went down:
Q: Was this the ending you planned or was it just a result of 'omg I need to finish'?
Bones: Kind of both. The epilogue thing was the result of everyone on my server yelling at me. Also I forgot to include "who here has felt personally victimized by Medusa Gorgon," so I took that opportunity.
Q: I think you said that originally this was just a Mean Girls inspired AU right? Please explain where the other aspect came from!
Bones: The other aspect came from the fact that I watched Jennifer's Body and went: THAT is what my Resbang needs to jazz it up. It definitely was originally just Mean Girls.
Q: Wanna talk about your creative process a little, Bones? How you work, maybe how music is involved?
Bones: Ha.. hahaha. Hold on, let me try to find my outline. There was a lot of stuff like this:
Bones: I had a more detailed outline, but the last chunk got mostly ignored. I had a lot of this preplanned just for the sake of sanity. You can't wing 45k over the course of a few weeks and not hate everything in the universe.
Q: Eis, what was your artistic process like?
Eis: Lots of sweating and crying to be honest. To stress whenever I can because I know my butt needs a lot of kicks lol.
Q: What was your favourite piece, Eis?
Eis: My favorite piece... hmmmmm. Certainly this. This is my favorite drawing:
Q for Eis: I've always been curious what program you use!
Eis: I use Paint Tool SAI. :)
Q: Dark Eis, could you maybe show us Wes?
Eis: I CAN. Here is the super fancy, super secret Wes I drew after posting date:
Bones: Wes Evans: vampire hunter.
Q for Bones: My fave scene is when Medusa is singing Monster while eating Noah... did that just happen or were you listening to Monster one day and thought "ya know this is how Medusa eats a guy I swear"?
Bones: Oh THAT SHIT. That shit is the only reason I wrote this Resbang I think. Somehow early on I started talking about Medusa and Nicki's Monster verse and, unimportantly, realized that it's in meter, but the point is: there was no way I wasn't writing that in. Then the opportunity presented itself and I was like well, this is how I include it. Poor Noah.
Q: I just rememebr staring at my phone screen, unsure whether to laugh or be like ewww XD.
Bones: That was the goal. Writing it I was like 'wow this is horrible' but I neither stopped writing or stopped laughing.
Eis: Bones sitting in her chair, a birb on each shoulder and top of her head and laughing like a maniac while typing.
Q: Do you want to talk about the metal covers segment of your process? Or the tacky houses?
Bones: The metal covers portion of my life sure was a time. Please enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vmzz516cAnw.
Q: Tell us about your late night bode epiphany.
Bones: I can't even freaking remember it. Let's be real about this. I needed there to be a slang term that B* was trying to make happen. I'd actually been lowkey trying to figure it out for months, and then bode... happened, and I was like THAT. THAT IS THE THING.
Q: Bones, what was the hardest scene to write and Eis, what was the hardest thing to draw?
Bones: I want to say probably the last bit there, where Medusa rolls back up. I may have been a little delirious.
Eis: Drawing the car was the hardest part, made me legit cry.
Bones: Poor Eis and the car. I gave her a reference.
Eis: YES AND I'M FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR SAID REFERENCE. Bones has like a reference or link for everything. It's awesome.
Bones: For some reason I always sit around and pick out cars for people, so thankfully I had something ready for her.
Q: Okay so question re: something that was NOT in the Resbang but that I felt was implied. Was Arachne doing some hokey pokey shit to Giriko's dad?
Bones: Yeah, that was something I didn't have a chance to elaborate on. She was definitely slowly poisoning him to get his money. Or eat his soul. Maybe both. Oh right, I should show them Chainsaw. For your listening pleasure, Giriko's theme song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdJicpjitMM. I make playlists for everything and they are a travesty.
Q: You're a master at making us feel things for characters who, in canon, are dicks. Wanna talk a little about how you characterize people when you write? Or your approach to it?
Bones: You may have noticed I write AUs like it is my job. So the deal is, I have this basic idea of the characteristics of a given character, like how they are at base level, and then I just take that and go okay, how would this mix with or be affected by a life in x world, or by x set of experiences? And that's how you get Fire and Light Maka, or 99 problems Giriko and/or Justin. Like Giriko is still a dick but... Reasons. Giriko just wanted to run away with Justin and save him from his shitty home life.
Q for Eis: Do you listen to any mood-setting music as well?
Eis: My music taste is pretty much all over the place... but I did try to pick some music that would fit the situation. It didn't work all the time, so I was listening to some love songs while drawing everyone in the car. :D Needed some love songs to not completely lose it with drawing the freaking car!
Q: Eis, I love your Maka with a topbun.
Eisdorable: Thank you! Maka with the topbun is the best, but she rocks all hair styles tbh.
Q for the both of you: LET'S GET MUSHY, what was your fav part about working with the other?
Bones: Eis is the most cinnamon bun to ever cinnamon bun.
Eis: lfgkjdölfhjfglhkjflghkjskfj
Bones: Also, that. Umlaut keysmashes.
Eis: AHAHAHAHHA here for you öäü
Bones: But on a slightly more serious note, Eis worked super hard even if she didn't think she did. I spent the whole time going 'I have to not do all this at the last minute so I'm not a dick to Eis.'
Eis: I really feel like I slacked a lot, but maybe this was just because I had school and was away for two weeks during the time. ;n; Or four weeks in total? idk.
Bones: Yeah okay so like Eis went to school and worked and then came home and drew me stuff. Consistently.
Q: Same question for you Eis, what was your fav part about working with Bones?
Bones: Eis is probably trying to think of a polite way to tell you all that I'm insane.
Eis: I enjoyed everything to be honest, I loved the talking that wasn't about Resbang, then enjoyed talking about Resbang, loved to show Bones my art and get approval, and read her fic and cry laughing. And ask her all of the questions and have everything answered, most times even with a link. HAHAHAHAH YOU'RE NOT INSANE. Or not much more than me. :)
Bones: Oh wait my other favorite thing was Eis, the ultimate cinnamon bun, being like 'I can't wait to draw some blood."
Eis: AND THEN I NEVER DID DRAW BLOOD WHAAT. Or not as much as I wanted. :c
Bones: No one is stopping you, Eis.
Eis: *wiggles eyebrows*
Q: What was the most fun to write, Bones? And the most fun to draw, Eis?
Bones: Most fun to write had to be the archive bit - not JUST Medusa quoting Monster, but the setup. I liked having an opportunity to truthfully indicate how weird archives are. The tar coming up from the cracks in the floor thing was not a fabrication, but something I have personally experienced. Plus then they got to play Assassin's Creed for a minute there, creeping around.
Eisdorable: The most fun to draw were certainly the chibis. :)
Q: Eis did you learn anything new about drawing during this Resbang?
Eis: YES! Yes I got to know how to make gifs with Photoshop! To create the little cheerleader Soul lol. And I learned that I hopefully never have to draw a car again :)
Q: Can there be a 99 problems SoMa art in the future?????
Eis: I could try, because I would love to draw them in a romantic set up, even though romantic would be handholding in this case :) But I would love to do the thing. I'm currently studying for my final exams in May, have one art trade and a big commission due the end of next month, so I have to push that romantic drawing towards the future sadly.
Q: Do you have a couple fav beta comments?
Bones: Maybe this chain re: warblr:
Bones: Okay so, story time. One day fab tried to type 'warbler' as in a bird but typed 'warblr' instead, and that's how that happened.
Bones:
Eis: Marsh is the best. Her comments made me laugh ugly.
Bones: This... entire thing:
Eis: "This outfit is Gucci" still makes me crack up so much. IT'S THE FREAKING BEST.
Bones: Remember all the Gucci shoes I looked up, that all had snakes on them?
Bones:
Bones: I knew they were all at the end. When things got SUPER CRAZY was when the comment game got fun. By the end I had pretty much lost my mind.
Eis: I was with you Bones. Freaked out of having too little art. I was young and stupid.
Bones: I did better this year, in terms of not writing everything at the last second. My main goal is not to have a repeat of Bad Romance.
Eis: *proud pat on shoulder*
Bones: Do not write 22k in two days guys. Don't. The last two thirds of Bad Romance I wrote in two days.
Q: If you could be friends with anyone in the fic, who would you wanna befriend?
Bones: Kid.
Eis: I would love to be befriend Soul to be honest, most times he was the poor little cinnamon roll and I love him forever.
Q: What advice would you give to new Resbang participants now that both of you have done many Resbangs?
Bones: Oh my god, you monster. "Don't be me" is my advice. To elaborate: make yourself an outline ASAP, and a daily writing goal. And stick to it, so you don't have to do what I did. It's MUCH EASIER to write like 500 words or 1k a day for a month or two. And as a bonus you don't end up wanting to throw youself out a window. It's also a lot easier to get that 1k a day down if you have at least a partial plan. Plus, when you're in the middle of writing something it's much more difficult to set up a convincing plot, i.e. be objective. Though that problem is much more pronounced when you're 75k through a 120k novel.
Eis: Yeah, I agree with Bones. Time management is super important. Don't underrestimate this. I mean, probably no problem when you do one drawing. It's no competition [for] who gets the most done or something. But if you plan on doing a lot of things, time management/an outline is important to keep your head above water.
Q: What was the latest both of you were up to working on parts of this?
Bones: Idk, probably like 3 a.m.
Eis: I was up until 4:50am that one time. *sweats*
Bones: ...Eis.
Eis: SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK I DONT NEED IT. Except a lot. I need sleep. I love sleep.
Q: Did you guys learn anything from each other during this partnership?
Bones: I learned that Eis is a million times more adorbs than I realized.
Eis: Oh yes, Bones taught me a lot about American politics :) And [I learned] that Bones is the most collected and calmest person I've ever met.
Bones: Also I won't lie, when they told me Eis picked me I felt like I had won the lottery. I was also confused. Did you read my summary?
Eis: Yes and it was love at first sight. I was squeaking and capslocking a lot about how much I wanted your fic Bones.
Q: What are you guys working on next?
Bones: I am working on ten thousand years of worldbuilding for my original stuff, and hopefully Fire and Light. That and sorting out this 950 song playlist that is really out of hand. And getting like 60 pages of handwritten notes sorted out. I wish 60 pages was an exaggeration but sadly it is not.
Eis: [I'm working] on fandom stuff, for an art trade with ahshesgone and a commission for a user next month which I don't want to name yet, I don't want to ruin the surprise ;u; and lots of studies for my final exams orz. Finals are ewww and I'm 100% terrified that I'm gonna mess up :D
Q: What did the process look like to pick and choose which bits you pulled from each movie?
Bones: I don't think I really have a process for that.
Q: Was there anything that you wanted to include that you didn't get to?
Bones: there were a lot of things I kind of meant to address, like the thing with Arachne and Giriko's dad. I just forget them in the process of writing, which is why I advocate lists and outlines. I also kind of meant to go into more detail with a lot of things like Justin's home situation but seriously, it would have been 100k.
Q: What would you have done with the Arachne bit?
Bones: It was a tossup. I think I was gonna have her be slowly poisoning him so she could use him to achieve ultimate power, since she and Medusa were feuding. So I mean if I ever write more of this, it'll probably be about that.
Q: Eis how did you pick what you wanted to draw?
Bones: I think she was a little freaked out that I didn't have a list of stuff I wanted.
Eis: Honestly, I was freaking out. Like whaaaat, you have no certain wishes??? How even??? I'm so used to people telling me their wish and I work with that. :)
Bones: I'm not used to ever getting art. I thought it might be more fun for you to pick stuff you liked.
Eis: So yeah, how did I pick the things.... I usually stick with the things that inspire me, to be honest. So some scenes turned out different than the ones in the story, but it always worked out with no problems. I pick things that inspire me, may it be a fun scene or something that makes me think of it. It was super fun to pick the scenes I liked, gave me lots of room to be creative. :) [I] stick with things that make me linger there longer. There were quite a few, I actually had a lot more scenes I wished to draw but I haven't had the chance yet. It's also scenes that I'm curious about [what] they would look like as a drawing sometimes.
Q: Ooo do you remember what they were?
Eis: Oh yeah! I would have loved to draw the scene with Giriko, Justin and Soul in Giriko's car, in which Justin was all tired and Giriko tried to get school stuff done, because tired Justin seems like the most adorable thing??? And I would have loved to draw the scene in Soul's house, when everyone gathers there to plan what they do, after Soul and Maka saw Medusa eating Noah.
Bones: Soul crying into a pizza box.
Eis: And Giriko, Justin and Soul eating pizza and was it Kid that made tea for them??? And I would love to draw Soul in a lot [of] embarassing old clothes. AND THE HAND HOLDING SCENE BETWEEN MAKA AND SOUL OF COURSE.

New Release: Delusional
Genre: Hiphop, Pop
Located in: Washington DC
This song is... I started recording my EP ‘Delusions of Grandeur’ in December 2016, I finished recording it in March 2017. I had 5 songs done at the time Delusional was not one of them. I lost my father in February 2017 during the recording process. My heart was very heavy at the time, I was lost. I’m always looking for new music and May 2017 I ran into the beat for ‘Delusional.’ https://open.spotify.com/track/6k0NDKcz3aJosobt9YOmGw?si=hUYp2yfwSrui073BVX66dQ
The first time I heard it it felt like the was sun rising to me. It had so much love and beauty in it that I had to just started writing to it. I wrote the song, recorded it, and didn’t like it. After a few days I just left the song alone because the melody did not feel right. On a Friday in May 2017 I went out with a friend to grab a few drinks. My heart was still heavy from losing my pops, but something happened while I was out. I met some one, and she blew me away. When I saw her I felt the sun shine, it was the same feeling the I felt when I heard the beat for Delusional.
We talked for a few and she told me about her struggle and her dreams, from that conversation I was in awe and inspired. That Saturday I re-wrote the song about this girl I met. In it, I put her and my dreams in the lyrics, I put the impossible to possible in the song because I felt we were at the bottom at the time. It’s a song about us, and how we were going to make it. The melody you hear in the song is all love, the love I felt for her. Delusional is dreams coming true making something out of nothing and pure love. My last song became my first song.
Right now.. I’m excited because I see that sky is not my limit. I started with nothing recording this song and making this project. All my dreams are becoming reality. I’m excited that slowly my music is getting on larger platforms and finally getting heard by the masses. I’m filled with excitement when I wake up because im doing what I love. I just have to keep my eyes on the prize and keep it about the art.

Artist: Intellect
New Release: Daily Maneuvers
Genre: Hip Hop
Located in: Los Angeles, California
This song is... jazz fusion mixed with hip hop. My musical influences are Nas, Rakim, KRS-One, The Losy Boyz. These artist are the influencers that lead me to re-introduce my version of storytelling in hip hop music. The creative appeal of an artist that draws people in to want to know more is what I hone in on when I write. I want listeners to hear my heart and soul when talking about the harshness in my life, which the song touches base on and how I overcame them, even still trying to learn the lessons of the past to evolve now. Being a US veteran gives you training in focus and clarity on who you are as a person, you then become a person of intense action and when I perform I bring that, when I write people feel that and so does the producer I work with. People will find this song relatable, honest, raw but inspirational because my entire album is the essence on how hip hop can save you and give you hope where there may not be any.
Right now we are... Premiering on The Enemy Within on NBC on Feb 25th, working on a new EP that releases soon, performing at a few events in Washington,D.C, traveling to Miami on April 26th to perform at Miami Live at 9pm and on June 7-9 will be performing at Crime Con in New Orleans, Louisianna.

Artist: Q.R.B The Lame Kid
New Release: TBH
Genre: HIPHOP
Located in: : BARBADOS
This song is... mostly about heartbreak, the struggle, and haters. These are the few things that impact me in life. The reason I got into hiphop is mostly to talk about the things that bother me. No one wanted to hear me speak before the mic but when I pick it up, they had no choice. J Cole and Em were mostly the ones who inspired me to do hiphop. The first time I heard their music I knew I had to do the same.
The music we are creating… Tbh focuses on my life story which is the drive I'm willing to push in my journey in hiphop. Motivation, forget about the haters and become what you want to be. Not to many people believe in a hiphop artist from Barbados, but look what I created with a low income job.
Right now we are.. What I'm most excited about is exposure, people playing my music and listening to me. I'm also dropping a music video today and hopefully I will be able to perform for big events in Barbados once I connect with the people.
