Also he doesn’t need to sing, he can still use it while talking; lace his words with power, getting anyone to listen to him, drop their guard, and agree with whatever he’s saying. His voice tends to catch attention

— Percy worried that he isn’t enough of a child of Aphrodite and that people are going to figure him out. His solution: flirt like his life depends on it. Hes very bad at first but that doesn’t stop him and its just becomes his natural instinct. In danger? try flirting!

When he start to really develop his skills rip to everyone

— I hc that Aphrodite is a pretty decent parent, mainly bc she doesn’t give a shit about the ancient laws or whatever and regularly visits her kids and helps them out. Also when she gets angry she tends to shift back to a war goddess. So…

Mitchell: One time my group was being chased by a monster by a river and an huge sea serpent jumped out, ate it, then disappeared

Valentina: Apollo gave us a ride to California

Valentina: I don’t know, he just said to tell people especially Percy, and was all “Oh and tell him how handsome and awesome I looked saving you” it was weird

Sweet Voice ( Leo Valdez X Reader)

Summary: You have a passion for music and no one knows. But then Leo heard you sing, but he didn’t know who are you. Until he saw you at your own table for dinner. Then again, he heard your sweet voice.

Everyone knows Apollo kids love music, poetry and also have knowledge of medicine. And one certain child of Apollo is one of them - Y/N Y/LN. She is near the lake her guitar on her lap, music pad on her right side. She is humming a tone that has been stuck in her mind.

She strums her guitar beautifully with a nice tone into it. The Y/HC then starts playing on her guitar and started singing. No one knew that she has that kind of talent, yes she is a daughter of Apollo but people at camp only know her as a great archer. That’s all.

As she was singing and playing her guitar, Y/N didn’t notice someone listening to her sweet voice. And that is, Leo Valdez. The son of Hephaestus was mesmerized by your voice. He was about to go to Bunker 9 when he heard someone’s sweet voice.

“Wow,” Leo mumbled to himself still listening to your voice, he was enchanted by your voice, and him being Leo, accidentally step on a tree branch.

And so you stopped.

“Whose there?” You ask while standing up and look around to search for someone. But you didn’t saw anyone.

“Shit.” Leo cursed and without second thoughts he hides from a large tree. And so shrugged and fix your belongings. You then walked back to your cabin so that you could train for archery.

As you left Leo was still in awe because of the sweet voice that you have. But smack his head because he doesn’t know who you are. So he sighed and walked back to Bunker 9.

It was time for dinner so all of the campers are now eating and talking. Leo was still distracted because he was still thinking about you.

"Leo? Are you even listening?" One of his siblings asks him he turned around at his sibling and scratches his neck.

"No, um what is it again?" Leo answered and he started to listen to his sibling but then he saw you - at the Apollo table.

'She's a daughter of Apollo, of course.' He said to his mind.

After their dinner, Chiron then told them the annual camp sing-along would happen. But then Will spoke. “Um, Chiron one of my siblings suggested that we would show some of our talented singers at our cabin. If it’s OK with you, could we do it tonight?” Chiron smiled at Will and nodded.

“Of course you can Will!” All the campers cheered but of course, the loudest was the Apollo cabin. ”Alright heroes finished up your food and let’s all gather at the amphitheater.”

 All of the campers excitedly finished their food. Because they know how amazing it was to see the Apollo cabin perform.

But not you, you are a nervous wreck! No one in your cabin knows you could sing, hell! They don’t even know you have such talent in it. They just thought of you as a good archer. That’s it.

As all of you went back to your cabin, you are silent. “Hey Y/N are you OK?” Will asks you with such a worried tone. You gave him a smile and nodded.

“Yeah of course Will I am, don’t worry about me.” You answered him with a smile and went to your bed. As you went near, you sat down, and then you heard some of your siblings talk.

“Are you guys ready for your performance tonight at the amphitheater? Gods I can’t wait for tonight!” You heard your sister says while the others also gush because they are also excited.

But you of course. None of your siblings know that, because you’re a shy person. “Yeah, of course! I can’t wait to show you guys what I want to perform.”

One of your siblings then turns to you, while you were fixing your stuff. “ How about you Y/N? Are you going to perform?”

You turn around and shook your head no. "I'm just going to watch you guys. You answered him. Austin raises one of his eyebrows. 

Austin is one of the talented Apollo kids when it comes to singing, and he is also the one who keeps telling you to let out that hidden talent of yours.

Because he knows your hidden talent. 

The thing is though, you didn't know about that. He accidentally heard you sing inside the cabin when you think that you're alone. He looks over and when he notices that everyone was out. He then spoke."Really? You have a nice voice though, you should sing." You stopped what you're doing and looked at him.

"What the fuck? How did you -" but he then cut you off.

"First of all, language. And second, you're not smooth sister. Y/n I heard you sing. You have a great voice. You should sing, and let that talent of yours. You're a daughter of Apollo. I will put your name there, and no, you can't give me excuses." He then left and closed the door.

'Well, I'm going to exposed no matter what anyway.' You thought to yourself.

All of the campers are now gathered around the amphitheater for the performance. While Leo is still bothered about the girl that he heard.

"Seriously Valdez, what's inside your mind right now? I keep talking, but you're not listening! And before you say, nothing; I know there is something. So just say it!" Piper told him, Leo just rolled his eyes at his best friend.

"Oh just calm down beauty queen. It's just really nothing." He told her Piper just scoff and ignored him, which Leo is glad. After few minutes of chatting with their friends and siblings. 

They then heard Chiron cleared his throat.

"Good evening heroes, it is our annual camp sing-along. But before we start our sing-along, we will first hear the Apollo cabin's musical talented people." Everyone clapped their hands together.

The first one who performed was Austin, who everyone knows was one of the talented Apollo kids. Then Leo saw you - holding your guitar.

"Well, there's our answer to why Leo is not himself." Leo heard Percy sarcastically said and also heard his friends laughed.

"Really Valdez? My sister?" But he didn't hear Will's voice. Because you started strumming your guitar and then he heard you sang. Everyone was silent when they heard you sing.

"She's the one helping inside the infirmary right?" Piper asks, but Leo was still not listening.

"Yeah, her name is Y/N. I didn't even know that she sings. She's too shy to perform too. I guess Austin put her name to let her perform. " Will told her and smiled when he heard you sing.

When the song was over, your sister Kyla dragged you and all of your siblings were squealing because that was the first time they heard you sing.

"Just go over there Leo, we can literally see that you like her," Annabeth said. But Leo was too shy.

"Oh for the love of the Gods!" Piper said and dragged Leo to get to you."Hi, you're Y/N right?" I'm Piper, your brother Will's friend. This is Leo. He loves the way you sing. And he also wants to ask you out. Is it OK for you?"Piper smiled kindly at you, while you blushed.

"What - Piper! I - I me - mean wo -would you?"Leo stutters out and rubbed his neck, and you giggled.

I mean you already know Leo, because of how loud he is, and how he also helped out build things for the camp. Not saying any word, you nodded.

"Well that was good isn't it Leo? He will see you tomorrow, Y/N." Piper wink and dragged Leo away from you.

"I owe you big time Pipes," Leo said.

"Oh, you do. The daughter of Aphrodite said. And so, Leo was now excited about the date that he is about to prepare. And he can't wait.

Nico feels death the way percy feels the tide. He felt his mothers murder, a shock ran up his spine. He felt biancas death; he had never felt so empty. he feels deaths during the battle pain rips through him. he feels jasons death hes the first to know. he feels percy and anabeths, they go together. leos like a dying fire and piper a closing song. frank like a warm goodbye and hazel more a see you soon. its will who makes him stop. who brings him to his knees, gasping and pleading for more time.

since ppl die like every day all day (let’s not think abt that too much eeeee) just bc the amount of ppl on this planet earth, i’m limiting his abilities a little lol

nico can feel death in big battles he has stake in–it’s like second vision. when he looks out across a battlefield, his vision goes dark and all he can see are warm glows from within everyone taking part in battle (even nymphs and satyrs). when they die, it’s like a candle flame being snuffed out in the wind and nico loses his breath for a moment

for ppl he cares about and loves, it’s worse

he’s ten when his mother is killed by zeus. he’s in the lotus casino when his vision goes white and it feels like he’s just been shocked worse than he’s ever experienced. then he sees his mom. she smiles at him, cups his cheeks and kisses his forehead. when she pulls back, her lips don’t move but nico can hear her voice clear as day: “i love you, my son.” (in italian; i would’ve written it in italian but i don’t trust google translate lol). then she fades as nico’s vision clears.

it’s only what feels like a few months later when bianca dies. all that time in the lotus hotel has warped his sense of time. he’s at camp half blood when his vision goes white again and it feels like he’s being electrocuted for a few seconds before bianca appears. he tries to say her name but no sound comes out. bianca is smiling just like his mom was. she puts a gentle hand on his shoulder and kisses his forehead. as she pulls back, and like with his mom, her lips don’t move but he hears her voice: “take care, little brother” (also in italian) also also pretend he doesn’t like call upon her ghost later lmao

he’s fourteen when jason dies. he’s at camp with will when his vision goes white. he can feel caligua’s spearheads in his chest before jason appears and the pain disappears. jason has his dorky glasses on and is grinning at nico. jason half-waves and half-salutes at him, his lips not moving, but nico can hear his voice: “it was good to know you, nico. take care!” as he turns away, jason fades and nico’s vision clears

okay so this may deduct from my initial raising, but i’m going to age the rest of them up A LOT to make this less sad for me and also bc they all deserve (and jason deserved a) long and happy lives (life)

nico’s in his 60s when percy and annabeth die. a car crash. it’s so normal and some part of nico is happy that they lived such long lives together and that their death was not some hero’s or romeo and juliet tragedy. he’s sleeping when he feels the impact of the car crash. his vision goes white and he sees percy and annabeth. they’re holding hands and smiling at him. when nico blinks, they’re 16 years old again. percy’s free hand is making the shaka sign while annabeth’s free hand is raised up in a high wave. like the others’ death, their lips don’t move, but he can hear their voices: “take it easy, dude” and “thanks for everything” they fade as they turn away from him.

it’s only a few years later that leo dies. he can feel the heat from a fire that leo saved his family from only to be stuck in it himself. nico is out to dinner with will this time when his vision goes white. leo’s got one hand on his hip, one hand doing that peace sign next to his eye like the cool kids and is grinning at nico. nico blinks and leo’s 15 again, even has his toolbelt on him. of course he’d be the one to make a reference and in a terrible australian accent, no less: “see ya in another life, brotha”

and then only a few years after that does piper die. nico is asleep this time, as piper dies in her sleep. he can hear her humming a soft tune before his vision goes white and he sees her. she’s slightly angled away, but her torso’s turned toward him and she’s smiling gently. nico blinks and she’s 15 again as she lifts her hand, kissing her first two fingers and blows out a small kiss. “thanks for being such a great friend.”

frank is next, after a few more years. nico is at the store this time and feels an impact like something big and heavy hit him, for frank died when he was hit by a car biking. nico’s vision goes white and he sees frank. very serious, saluting him. nico blinks and frank’s 17, now relaxed and grinning at nico, his hand raised in a two-fingered wave. “it was great knowing you.”

hazel follows soon after. it feels like the weight of the world collapses on him for hazel died evacuating people from a collapsing building. his vision goes white and he sees his sister. she hugs him tightly and when she pulls away, she’s 14 again. her smile fills him with warmth--and somehow reminds him of his mother and other sister--despite nico knowing what seeing her like this means. she kisses his cheek. “until we meet again, little brother.”

nico always figured he’d die before will. but the children of hades’s lives did not often end well. though nico’s grateful he did get to live his life with almost all of those he loved. will’s death is sudden--a mugging gone wrong. nico’s at their home when he feels a sharp pain in his chest and his vision goes white. nico wants to sob when he sees will, but no sound comes out, as is usually the case when he gets these visions. will gently cups nico’s face and kisses him. when he pulls back, they’re both 17 again. will’s smiling as radiantly as the sun. “i love you, nico.”

nico dies soon after from a broken heart

AND THEN EVERYTHING IS OKAY BC HE SEES ALL HIS FRIENDS AND WILL IN ELYSIUM/HADES’ CASTLE (hazel resides there)

the way nico gets these visions of the deceased were actually inspired by how the sailor scouts die in the first season of sailor moon--a combo of the original japanese version and the english edited version

i just really liked how it was written and framed. it made me emotional, so i thought it’d be extra emotional when applied to this context
