Warm.

Mu Qing wants to be warm.

His hands and arms ache with cold. His nose too. And his feet. His toes are freezing. He wiggles them—brow furrowing—still cold.

He hears a sound. It comes from his own throat. It's discontented and frustrated.

He wants to be warm now.

And there is warmth close by. He feels it radiating, like a fire.

His hands clench; cold fingers are so stiff.

He presses his face further into his pillow and makes another sound in his throat, as if it'll do anything.

He's asleep.

His body is heavy with it.

So heavy.

And so, so cold.

The energy stirs within him, anger soaring at the pervasive chill. He's only half asleep now as he rolls to seek out the nearby warmth—icy hand landing on a firm, dense cloth—so hot it could be a furnace.

He sighs and reaches out his other hand to press against it. It's large, like a second mattress, and as warm as a freshly prepared bath. The cloth gives slightly under his touch, like a breath, and the ache in his fingers starts to dull.

Oh. Oh, that's nice.

He curls close enough to bury his face into the plushness of it, his feet searching out the heat until they, too, are enveloped in it.

Warm.

Safe.

Mu Qing hums and drifts back into a deep, satisfied sleep.

It takes every ounce of willpower within Feng Xin to not offer a prayer to the god who is currently snuggled against his chest.

Don't write off negative emotiona as being a teenager. Don't say it's hormones and shrug it off. Pay attention!

Before it's to late.

Most of the time adults rationalize themselves not helping teenagers during their depression as them 'being hormonal'or 'jsut being a teenager' and it's jsut accepted. It shouldn't. It's a shitty fuckign excuse that makes no sense. If you see your teen is struggling help even if you think it's them jsut being a teen or hormonal they still need help. You helping them in these small moments stops most of thenhig moments like depression and suicide.

A big thing about solitare and even heartstopper is how the people around us IGNORE issues for the dumbest reasons and then blame the people who are mentally well for not getting help immediately. How could we get help when you just say it's hormones or us being teenagers.

Toris friend acknowledging and telling her she's getting worse. Then also not helping and distancing themselves from her.

Michael holden being seen as a freak in school yet no one inquiries why he is like this way the teacher scolding him for not getting good grades instead of trying to help and understand!

Aled and tori are examples of WHAT CAN HAPPEN WHEN YOU DOTN HELP. HELP FOR FUCK SAKE. IT IS NEVER JSUT BEING A TEENAGER. ITS NEVER JSUT HORMONES. WE ARE FULL OF EMOTIONS AND WE NEED HELP LEARNING HOW TO SAFELY RESIDE IN THEM.

Toris attempt could've been stopped. Aled could've gotten better quicker. Michael could have made friends sooner. So many peoples struggles could have been helped. Could have been saved.

Here's the thing, though. Solas' life force is now bound to the Veil. In essence, he IS the Veil.

The only thing keeping him imprisoned is his own damned self and his need to atone for what he's done. If Lavellan hadn't joined him, he would never do that. But he reflects what he's shown. If she shows him the wisdom in healing and forgiving himself, and forging a more healthy relationship with his past self, then he'd be helpless to deny her <3

Personally? I'm thrilled. Western media has this allergy toward allowing villains, anti-villains, and anti-heroes to redeem themselves and/or absolve themselves of their actions through any method other than a heroic death. We never, ever, ever, ever, EVER get to see them actually choose to atone for their actions (and also get to do precisely that), let alone get the girl in the process.

They're gonna be fine. We may not see them in Dragon Age again, but that also means they won't die. Their ending leaves just enough ambiguity that I couldn't honestly ask for better.

HOWEVER.

The decision on their last kiss to NOT have them embrace each other like they did in DAI? Unforgivable, lol ;o)

One thing which genuinely bothers me is Annabeth's perception in the fandom. How she's seen as this cold, stoic, emotionless, reserved and intimidating girl. When in reality, she's a character full of love.

Annabeth, who immediately cried and felt attached to Cerberus after playing with him for a few minutes because she wouldn't get to play with him again.

Annabeth, whose deepest desire, which the Sirens lured her with, is saving Luke and having a good relationship with both her parents.

Annabeth, who believed in Luke's goodness, even after all the countless terrible things he did simply because she had faith in his humanity.

Annabeth, who cried in Percy's arms before entering the labyrinth and refused to reveal the last line of the prophecy because it said to lose a love worse than death and the idea of losing any of her friends is too painful, heartbreaking and worse than dying.

Annabeth, who kissed Percy before parting with him in St. Helens because if he's going to die, she at least wants him to die knowing she loved him.
