literally my only ambition/"bucket list" item is to be well enough to travel to the far north that's fucking it man I wanna see the braided rivers, the tundra, the spruce-peat forests, the permafrost soils, the brightly colored buildings, the arctic sea

i want to go there and see plants I recognize, fireweed, willows, rubus, poa, and see how they are changed by the cold

i want to understand the ice age and how it felt to be a community of apes huddling together around a fire, wearing animal skins, telling stories, guarding against megafauna
