Lisa x Louis Vuitton

Shortly after releasing her new solo single "Rockstar," Lisa from Blackpink officially became the house ambassador for Louis Vuitton. In the premiere video, she is seen wearing the Women's Fall-Winter 2024 Collection by Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s artistic director of women’s collections. Speaking about the collaboration, she expressed her admiration for Louis Vuitton's originality and felt honored to be part of this endeavor to maintain the originality.

Previously, it had been speculated that Lisa would collaborate with Louis Vuitton. As early as 2020, Lisa served as the global ambassador for Celine, which is also a part of the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton group. At Paris Fashion Week in March of this year, Lisa made a surprise appearance in the front row of Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2024 show, wearing a floral-embroidered jacket and carrying the Pic Trunk handbag. In her new song "Rockstar," the lyrics also mention the brand - "Tight dress, LV sent it. Lisa reppin' "

Although the announcement was not surprising, Nicolas Ghesquière still expressed his excitement about the collaboration. He mentioned that Lisa's daring spirit and charisma align with the brand's ethos. Lisa's bold fashion sense perfectly showcases the individuality and empowerment that Louis Vuitton's women's wear represents.

Dear Travelers,

Below are the details of the Version 1.6 update "Midsummer Island Adventure" Part 2.

X. Adjustments & Optimizations

● System

Increases the load limit of the Serenitea Pot.

Optimizes the dialogue experience with the teapot spirit. After closing the secondary level dialogue option of the teapot spirit, it will return to the previous level dialogue options.

The Traveler will no longer appear in the Expedition Dispatch character selection list.

4-star artifacts can be destroyed in return for Mora.

Some indestructible level-up materials are now destroyable.

Optimizes the Weapon Enhancement Materials placement slots: increased from 6 slots to 20 slots.

Crafting or forging can be performed in Co-Op Mode, and Travelers returning to their own world can obtain the forging rewards performed while in Co-Op Mode. Crafting recipes and forging recipes are unlocked based on the Traveler's own progress.

Optimizes the sorting rules of the crafting/forging list, so that Travelers can craft the same type of material more easily.

Optimizes some controller operations: the slider in crafting, forging, production of dyes, and the Settings interface can now be controlled by holding the respective operation.

After teleporting out of domains, "Challenge Failed" will no longer be displayed.

Optimizes the classification of camera-related settings: the settings for Combat Camera Settings, Camera Y-Axis Resets Automatically, and Default Camera Distance have been moved from Settings > Other to Settings > Controls.

Optimizes the touch feedback of multiple UI buttons.

Optimizes the sticker display and Fast Chat button in the chat box.

Optimizes the aiming experience: in Aiming Mode, the tracking effect of the crosshair is more accurate when adjusting the position of the crosshair in small increments.

Increases the stack limit of some Furnishings of the same type in the Inventory from 999 to 9,999.

The Adventurer Handbook has a function to automatically track and navigate to enemies.

If players have Condensed Resin and less than 20 Original Resin, selecting "Continue Challenge" after challenging the Domain will not bring up the pop-up window.

● Co-Op Mode

Adds status markers when teammates are switching characters in the Party Preparation screen.

When a teammate is not within range of the currently displayed map area, a teammate marker will be displayed at the edge of the map. Travelers can click on that marker to quickly locate their teammates.

>Optimizes the text displayed after players are removed from Co-Op Mode.

● Audio

Adjusts the Chinese, Japanese, and Korean voice-over for certain characters, and fixes some issues with certain voice-over abnormalities and errors.

Optimizes and fixes the sound effects for certain character skills, environments, and items.

● Other

Adjusts the description of the food item "Stormcrest Pie."

Increases the damage caused by major reactions (i.e. Electro-Charged, Superconduct, Overloaded, Swirl, and Shatter), when a character reaches Level 60 or above.

Increases the Base Shield DMG Absorption for shields generated by Crystallize reactions.

Increases the DMG Bonus provided by Elemental Mastery for major reactions. (Refer to the attributes panel in-game for the exact DMG Bonus amount.)

Fixes an issue with the Daily Commission "Big Pudgy Problem!" whereby some Electro Slimes may incorrectly appear underground.

Fixes an issue whereby NPCs in some quests would still disappear to hide from the rain.

Fixes an issue when challenging the Domains "Lost Treasure of Arcadia" and "Deserted Ruins of Thermadon" whereby characters may skip certain parts of the process under specific circumstances.

● Monsters

Fixes an issue with the Cryo Hypostasis whereby when it is in a state of revival, characters may get stuck when performing Plunging Attacks above it.

Fixes an issue whereby the Fatui - Pyro Agent may incorrectly remain in place during combat.

● Co-Op

Fixes an issue in Co-Op Mode whereby, under certain circumstances, when Travelers enter the Serenitea Pot or return to the open world, they will receive the erroneous message that another Traveler "has left their world" or "has left the Serenitea Pot." (There is no issue with actual game functions.)

Fixes an issue in Co-Op Mode whereby when the Holding Mode of Lisa's Elemental Skill hits opponents, an incorrect quantity of Elemental Particles may be generated.

Fixes an issue in Co-Op Mode whereby players may not be able to collect wood in the open world.

Fixes an issue in Co-Op Mode whereby some special effects remained in the original position after teleportation.

● Characters

Fixes an issue with Tartaglia whereby the maximum duration of Melee Stance is shortened if Tartaglia immediately uses his Elemental Burst after entering Melee Stance.

Fixes an issue whereby Diluc's eagle may incorrectly remain when switching from his Attributes page to his Constellation page.

Fixes an issue with Venti, Chongyun, Razor, Xiao, Fischl, Yanfei, Noelle, Xinyan, Ningguang, Eula, and Diona whereby when they use an Elemental Burst, there is a small chance that the character will be launched if hit by an attack.

Fixes an issue with Razor whereby his Lv. 2 Constellation "Suppression" fails to take effect on Plunging Attacks.

Fixes an issue whereby the icons for Eula's Lv. 1 and 2 Constellations are displayed incorrectly.

Fixes an issue with Xingqiu whereby after his Elemental Skill is cast, if the game reconnects, there may be an error in the duration of the Rain Swords.

Fixes an issue with Xiangling's idle animation whereby there may be an error with her expression.

Fixes an issue whereby when switching characters while protected by a shield, there is a small chance that the character who takes the field will be launched if hit by an attack with a stronger interrupt effect at the moment of switching.

Fixes an issue whereby when characters enter a conversation when their HP is about to go to zero due to Burning, the character will freeze after the conversation ends.

Fixes an issue whereby the duration of meteorites summoned by the Geo Traveler's Elemental Skill and stone walls from the Elemental Burst may be abnormal in certain situations.

Fixes an issue with Yanfei whereby the color of her eyes in the character icon and the character model are inconsistent.

Fixes an issue whereby the character voice-over line "When Thunder Strikes" is incorrectly triggered repeatedly when there is thunder in the open world.

Fixes an issue in the open world whereby the character voice-over line triggered by an increase in Friendship Level is not interrupted normally or it overlaps with other audio after switching to other interfaces.

Fixes an issue with some weather conditions at Stormterror's Lair in Mondstadt whereby the character voice-over line "When It Rains" is incorrectly triggered.

Fixes an issue whereby the Parametric Transformer gadget incorrectly triggers pressure mechanisms.

Fixes an issue whereby casting characters' skills while using the Windsong Lyre gadget may cause errors with the skills' effects.

Fixes an issue with Jean and Eula whereby their gliding animations are displayed incorrectly.

Fixes an issue in the open world whereby Guoba created by Xiangling's Elemental Skill, the bursts of flame created by Pyro Abyss Mages when they are dancing and regenerating their shields, and the wind current within the Eye of the Storm's Hurricane Sphere are sometimes cast in the incorrect position.

Fixes textual errors and display issues in English, Spanish, French, Indonesian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Thai and optimizes the localization of text. (Note: Related in-game functions have not changed. Travelers can view the changes in different languages by going to the Paimon Menu > Settings > Language and changing the Game Language.) Text-related fixes and optimizations in English include:

◆ Corrects the description of the event rules for Overflowing Wealth. Where the original description reads "Blossoms of Revelation" or "Overflowing Revelation," the revised description reads "Blossoms of Wealth" and "Overflowing Wealth" respectively.

The perfect trompe l’eoil.” T: “What school is it you mentioned you went to, miss Y/L/N?” Y/N: “Parsons, mr Kim. How could you forget?” T: “It’s just that these amazing Van Gogh paintings are... confounding the mind.” Y/N: “Is it because his eyes are following you? I mean, I am following you.” T: “You are the most confounding of all.”

Taehyung grabbed your hand, brought it up to his face and placed a kiss on the back of it. “Your French is good, by the way,” he said. “Have you been practicing?” “Well, we’re going to Paris next, aren’t we? I should know some words,” you said. “Also, the amiche is actually Latin. I was hoping to get some inspiration from it for what we’re going to see in Italy. You know, I took my sketch book.” “Me too. Not to here though. I didn’t think it’d be this quiet.” Taehyung looked around himself. Even though he had expected a lot more people to be at the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam today, they had booked a very quiet time slot while buying the tickets. He was grateful for it, because it allowed him to experience the paintings of one of his favourite, if not just his favourite, painters of all time. He had fantasized about coming here before, taking his sketchbook and copying - badly, might he add - what he saw. Even though he liked sketching and getting creative and he drew from a lot of different influences, he didn’t have the least bit of professional knowledge of the visual arts like this. It’s what made pretending to be art critics, who actually knew a lot about the craft, with his girlfriend so incredibly entertaining. They played their preferred parts, always. He was no longer V of BTS now - hadn’t been for a while, to be honest, ever since their disbandment - but he was just Kim Taehyung. Or, Vante, his art critic alter ego. He met up with miss Y/L/N - he never addressed her by her first name - a graduate of Parsons. In reality Y/N hadn’t been to Parsons and she also didn’t go by her maiden name anymore. Perhaps it was more fitting to call her wife, instead of girlfriend now.

2. LV Y/N: “This time her eyes are really following you.” T: “I think she’s smiling at us.” Y/N: “She’s happy to see us.” T: “She’s happy we got married. And we’re happy.” Y/N: “No, that smile? That’s not happiness. That’s pure evil.” T: “Evil?” Y/N: “She’s plotting to steal you away from me.”

“You got out of character,” Taehyung said, shifting the strap around his neck so his camera hung more comfortably around it. They got out of the line in front of the Mona Lisa painting at the Louvre. “You got out of character first. Or did Mr Kim and Miss Y/L/N get married too?” Taehyung smiled as you grabbed his hand in yours. He still couldn’t quite believe this was his life now. He could be out with you and hold your hand! He could be himself. BTS was now long ago enough that people didn’t cling onto him on the streets anymore. He would be recognized sometimes, yes, but in more subtle ways. An extra smile, a promise of an extra snack with his morning espresso, a seat on the underground even though he was perfectly capable of standing in the crowded train. And even though people could still be cruel to you - ignoring you when seeing him, purposely walking into you on the sidewalk - he was happy it was never as bad as it could’ve been. You were strong. “This one’s good.” Taehyung watched as you pointed at a painting. A boy - something about him screamed that he was Italian - clutching his heart in agony. Once upon a time he had been that boy. Being V wasn’t agony, but not being able to show you off properly had been. He wrapped his arm around you now, even though you were messing with some settings on your camera in your attempt to get the perfect photo of the painting’s detail. He had so badly wanted to show off everything that was good about his life now. He could freely show his members, but never his girlfriend. But now, that girlfriend was his wife. In the grip of a feeling he felt more often lately, he pressed a lingering kiss to your temple. “No one can steal me away from you. Not even Mona Lisa herself.”

3. DP T: “Come on, one more set of stairs, miss Y/L/N!” Y/N: “I’m from New York, mr Kim, I take elevators.” T: “Well, I’m sure they existed when they build this place.” Y/N: “You’d be surprised what the Romans were capable of.” T: “The palace was built in the 1300s.” Y/N: “I’m sure Romans still existed.” T: “Actually-”

You shut him up with a kiss as you reached the top of the steps. In his surprised silence, Taehyung allowed you to drag him along into the room. It was possibly  big enough to fit twice your Seoul apartment but held just as few people. It was just past opening time for the Doge Palace in Venice and it was quiet. So quiet that you had this impressive room, with one of the largest paintings you had ever seen before, all to yourself and Tae. So you took your time. You sat with him in front of the 22 x 7 meter painting, its dark colours sucking you into its canvas just by looking at it. Tae played with your hair absentmindedly as you attempted to copy the detailed painting down into your sketchbook. But it was impossible to get every detail you wanted copied down of such a large painting. So halfway through you stopped and looked at Taehyung instead. He was already looking at you. He took photos of you walking through the rooms, looking out of the windows at the vast blue skies above Venice, at the water of the canals, sparkling in the morning sunlight. He took photos of you as you got to the prison part of the palace, he took photos of you in the courtyard area. In turn, you took photos of him - ones where he was looking through the photos he took of you, ones where he was looking out of windows and at paintings and weaponry himself. Soon enough you were outside again, in what now was the stifling summer heat of the sinking city. “Once in a lifetime,” you told Taehyung as you stood on the water taxi, taking you underneath the Rialto bridge. As a response, he kissed your cheek. “A lifetime glued to your side, mrs Kim.”

LV: How does the concept of hyperobjects relate to the idea of beauty? 

 TM: That is something I think about a lot. The headline is: beauty is the imminence of death. The beauty experience is a kind of warning light that comes on in your inner space that says, ‘One of you is going to die. Either it’s the picture or it’s you’. Oscar Wilde on his deathbed said it perfectly: ‘This wallpaper and I are fighting a duel to the death. Either it goes or I do’. When I experience beauty, I find in my inner space a footprint of a non-human being, something that isn’t me. I don’t need to prove that the beautiful flower exists. I have the feeling that it’s ungraspable because I’m not angry, I’m not upset, I’m not pitying, I’m not in contempt. I’m feeling powerless. By having this experience, you prove there are non-human beings. The experience is a quantum. You can’t chop it into smaller bits. It doesn’t have parts. It doesn’t have a front or a back, or an up and down. You can’t say: the beauty of the Mona Lisa is in the smile, cut the smile out, make a million photocopies of it, and then you have a picture which is a million times more beautiful. 

It doesn’t work the other way around either. You cannot isolate a brain chemical that is the equivalent of the experience of beauty, isolate the active ingredient, synthesise a pill – let’s call it MDMA – take a thousand of them and expect it to be a thousand times better than the beauty experience. Why doesn’t it work? Because you both co-exist in an uncertain way. Is the beauty experience happening in me or in the object? Where do I stop and where does the object start? Something is already tuning to you, even before you saw it. It emanates a seductive field and so you have a relationship where one could shrink-wrap the other. An appearance that shrink-wraps another appearance, is, for want of a better word, death. Beauty is almost like a homeopathic dose of death. This means beauty is not a thing that I can protect from all the other things like ugliness and disgust and kitschiness. It’s got a kind of disgusting, funny, little sickly halo around it that is part of it. We still have a very toxic default ontology that sees the aesthetic as just candy on top of the boring cupcake of things. Its not correct and modern science proves that it isn’t. Especially in our culture, people want beauty to be very functional. They want to be able to identify what something beautiful is for, so they can relax. But that’s exactly what you cannot do with beauty. Perhaps the most ecological art is the most ambiguous.

Fiber artist Lisa Klakulak left Taos in 2001 for North Carolina. The ensuing years have found her studying, teaching, and traveling from Patagonia to Hawaii to her current home in Nova Scotia, where she is pursuing an MFA in sculpture. Klakulak returns to New Mexico to present a show of 13 sculptures. Klakulak considers the body of work autobiographical, a record of the many phases of her life since Taos, “leaps of faith” she has taken pursuing her career, and her feelings about the world and her place in it. Her medium is wool felt. Aware that fiber arts are considered women’s work, Klakulak finds the inherent strength of felt, hidden by a soft exterior, an apt metaphor. Klakulak teaches a felting workshop through form & concept February 23–24. Contact the gallery for registration.—LVS
