Fun fact: if you take on the Paldean Gym Leaders in the objectively best order (which I didn’t in either version oh well) the genders of each pair of Kalos Gym Leader and Paldean Gym Leader are the same in each version - the first (Viola and Katy), third (Korrina and Iono), sixth (Valerie and Ryme) and seventh (Olympia and Tulip) gym leaders are female and the second (Grant and Brassius), fourth (Ramos and Kofu), fifth (Clemont and Larry) and eighth (Wulfric and Grusha) gym leaders are male. In addition, out of the five pairs of gym leaders between Kalos and Paldea where they share a type, three of them are in the same spot based on this order (Bug-type Gym Leaders Viola and Katy are first, Psychic-type Gym Leaders Olympia and Tulip are seventh and Ice-type Gym Leaders Wulfric and Grusha are eighth). And as a bonus the second gym leaders both have cool hair that matches their types well. And the Grass and Electric gym leaders are always next to each other in that order plus the Grass Gym Leaders are among the oldest gym leaders of their region (Ramos almost certainly, Brassius probably younger than Ryme and maybe Kofu) and the Electric Gym Leaders are among the youngest gym leaders of their region (Clemont is around the same age as Viola, Grant and maybe Korrina but probably the youngest between them, Iono definitely). Oh yeah also the Psychic cities both begin with A and the Electric cities both begin with L

The first fact means that both regions have an equal gender ration for their gym leaders. In addition, they both also have equal gender rations for their Elite Four members (I believe they’re the only regions where both of these are true all the time so far though I might be forgetting something. Alola and Galar automatically don’t count because Alola doesn’t have Gym Leaders and Galar doesn’t have an Elite Four. Kanto, Hoenn and Unova are also probably excluded because they all change their lineup at some point (although it doesn’t change the gender ratio in Hoenn but then they also have Tate and Lisa so that overcomplicates stuff too. It also doesn’t change the overall gender ratio in Kanto but it does change the individual ones for Gym Leaders and Elite Four members)) although only the first and third members line up if you take on the Kalos Elite Four in order. Also both regions have female champions (and the only reason the fandom doesn’t consider either to be their least favourite is because no one can remember Trace 😭 justice for Diantha, Geeta and Trace! And by that I mean from the fandom, not Game Freak. It’s not Diantha’s fault she was too busy to beat Team Flare and kick them out of Kalos for good, Geeta’s fault she decided to make her ace a Pokémon that should be sent out as soon as possible just because she loves it so much or Trace’s fault he doesn’t want to get himself and you imprisoned for starting a physical fight only to plead innocent so only the player gets locked up (yeah this is something I think RGBY era Blue would do)) and because Larry takes a spot as both a Gym Leader and a member of the Elite Four that means Kalos has a slightly more even gender ratio for its league overall but both have more women than men. Additional fun fact (yep, I love comparing Kalos and Paldea and PLZA just gives me a bigger excuse to do it) - Kalos makes you take on the Gym Leaders in order but allows you to take on the Elite Four in any order while Paldea allows you to take on the Gym Leaders in any order but makes you take on the Elite Four in order. Oh yeah also there’s a Steel-type Elite Four member in both regions and both regions end their Elite Four with a Dragon-type trainer

Shot from my iPhone at one of the tables in front so, a lot of scenes are very closeup, there are some obstructions here and there with some seats including a pole during some moments. Despite that, pretty much all the important action is captured in the show. Includes outdoor footage and a short post show speech done by original LA cast member Paul Nygro. A-

I was able to sneak in a (light) pint tho and have my banjo with me. I sang some tunes at the nearby lake with noone but some frogs around and enjoyed the moment. Michael Maloney emailed a St Patrick’s Day photo: “Morning Marc! Happy belated St. Patrick's Day and Birthday! I feel like I'm still recovering. I play solo at Hugh O'Neill's in Malden, and several shows with my bandmates, The Boston Harbor Bhoys (Waltham Sr. Center, Medford's Ford Tavern, Framingham Elks fundraiser, Quincy's Assembly, and Boston's Green Dragon).

So many songs, so many memories. I loved playing Hugh O'Neill's, where a table of young people requested The Saw Doctor's "N17" and ran out from their tables on the refrain each time to shout out "and the grass is green!".

To the Sr Center in Waltham where the ENTIRE room of 100 people got all the hand - claps right on "Wild Rover" by the 2nd refrain, and the beautiful emotions expressed from our rendition of Danny Boy.

To guests at the Framingham elks getting up to do all the dance moves to "The unicorn song", to seeing old fans from the South Shore of Boston that we haven't seen in 4 years requesting "Raglan Road", to jumping around The Green Dragon with my harmonica and tambourine leading hand claps on 'Finnegan's Wake" getting the whole bar clapping together.

Agh, it was all so wonderful, went through a range of song styles and eras in the Celtic music catalogue, and it was wonderful connecting with audiences from the 20's up to their 90's, who all appreciated the music and experience in their own ways.

It was one for the books! “

- apparently doesn't give lisa or phill any details about cases, or even send lisa a text in the middle of the day to check in

- he begrudgingly gives penelope details about the move-in with lisa. penelope is obviously looking for more romantic details, but he just gives her a play-by-play

Razor no sabía muy bien qué era eso. Había escuchado a Lisa hablarle alguna vez de aquel sentimiento, pero se sorprendió un poco al reconocerlo.

Razón se detuvo en seco para mirarte,un brillo apareció en sus ojos llenos de ilusión ; te miró como cual cachorro que se siente feliz y amado.

Razor siempre tuvo claro un sentimiento por ti, pero ahora conocía cómo expresarlo: "te amo."

Kaeya:

El era tan tierno y siempre que estabas con él desbordabas de amor;te acercaste a Bennett quien se encontraba sentado en un árbol formando un ramo con aquellas flores que recogió con tanto amor para ti.

Te sentaste a su lado y besaste su mejilla.

Llevabas caminando diez minutos buscando a tu novio hasta que lo encontraste en silencio, meditando. No querías molestarlo, así que te sentaste a su lado y cerraste los ojos, intentando meditar. Sin embargo, simplemente no era lo tuyo. Soltaste una risita por lo bajo y abriste un ojo para ver si habías captado la atención de Kazuha. Así fue; él te estaba mirando con una pequeña y tranquila sonrisa que pronto se desvaneció.

Abrazaste a Kazuha, sabiendo que él siempre velaba por tu protección. Quizás algunos pensamientos lo atormentaban ese día en especial.

Sintió paz en su interior al sentir tu tacto y al oírte.

Kazuha te acerco suavemente a su rostro para plantarte un cálido beso en tus labios.

Xiao:

Te encontrabas viendo el paisaje con tu novio,ciertamente él no es alguien que sea muy expresivo.

-sabes Xiao,cuando tenemos momentos así me doy cuenta de lo mucho que te amo.

Xiao se congeló en ese mismo momento. ¿Le dijiste que lo amabas? Algo se removió en el estómago del demonio yaksha. ¿Qué era ese sentimiento? Tus palabras lo volvieron loco. Solo pudo mirarte con un pequeño brillo en los ojos, imposible de ocultar debido a la sorpresa de tus palabras.

Diário de uma garota nada popular - volume 2

Oie! Hoje eu vim falar sobre o livro "Diário de uma garota nada popular’’. A autora da obra é a Rachel Renée Russell, o livro foi publicado pela  Verus Editora e foi ilustrado por Lisa Vega. Esta obra tem entre 15 e 20 volumes, e o que irei comentar é o volume dois. O livro é  inspirado em um tipo de diário, tem em média de 230 a 300 páginas, além da classificação indicativa ser a partir de 10 anos.             

O volume 2 relata sobre festas em que Nikki (a personagem protagonista) foi, e aconteceram  complicações, por conta de um garoto (Brendoon)´, que várias meninas do colégio gostam, inclusive ela e uma ‘’inimiga’’ (Mackenzie), com o grupinho em que Mackenzie participa. Eu gostei muito da obra e, para algumas meninas que  leram e estavam passando por situações de ‘’panelinha’’ ou alguma coisa do tipo, indico muito! Não só para quem está passando por isso, mas sim para todos que se interessem no livro, pois é muito legal e ensina como reagir em algumas situações.

Eu adorei a obra e gostei muito sobre o que se trata! A minha parte favorita é quando as amigas de Nikki a defendem. No momento em que li, eu me vi passando por algumas cenas.

NOMINATA LA PRIMA DONNA A GUIDARE LA MARINA USA

Il Senato statunitense ha confermato l’ammiraglio Lisa Franchetti a capo della Marina USA, prima donna a ricoprire questo incarico nella storia.

Già prima ufficiale donna della Marina, con questa nomina la Franchetti è al contempo diventata la prima ad unirsi al gruppo di alti ufficiali militari che compongono i capi di stato maggiore congiunti. Fortemente voluta dal presidente Biden, rappresenta un primato anche come donna al vertice di un ramo del servizio militare del Pentagono. Da 38 anni comandante della sesta flotta statunitense e delle forze navali statunitensi in Corea del Sud, è nata a Rochester, New York, nel 1964, ha nonni italiani, è sposata ed ha un figlio. Ha frequentato il Naval War College di Newport diventando la prima diplomata di genere femminile e conseguendo anche un master in management all’Università di Phoenix. Franchetti sarà a capo di oltre 330.000 uomini e donne in servizio attivo.

Nello scegliere Franchetti, Biden non ha seguito la raccomandazione del capo del Pentagono ed ha scelto una donna, contro il volere dei vertici militari, sbloccando una situazione che per mesi impediva tutte le nomine dei dirigenti delle forze armate, seguite alla protesta contro le misure adottate dal Pentagono per proteggere il diritto di aborto delle donne in divisa.

La nuova impostazione statunitense sulle cariche ai vertici nazionali ha già visto di recente un’altra storica nomina di una donna anche a capo del Dipartimento per la Sicurezza Nazionale, la Guardia Costiera degli Stati Uniti, oggi guidata dall’ammiraglio Linda Fagan.
