Imagine Lisa Benner falling in love with someone younger than her.

She didn’t know when it hit her, but all of a sudden, one morning, Lisa woke up and knew, for sure, that she’d fallen in love with you. It wasn’t something she ever planned on doing. She knew your age difference was more than enough reason not to even entertain the idea, but yet here she was.

She went to Sara about it first. Sara had been the one to help her with that dating app a while back, so she’d probably have the most insight on her current situation. Once she’d laid it all out for her, Sara had a couple follow up questions. "So, you enjoy spending time together? You both have common interests, hobbies?" To both questions, Lisa had answered yes.

"Then there’s your answer," Sara stated as if it were obvious. When Lisa failed to get the point, Sara elaborated. "Age is just a number. I could understand it being a concern if you had nothing but some sort of animal attraction going on, but this seems like the real deal, age difference or no age difference. If she makes you happy, then let yourself be happy."

"You sure," Lisa asked.

"Absolutely," Sara replied with a wide smile.

"Thank you, Sara. I needed that," Lisa said.

"Now go tell her. You can’t expect her to wait forever."
