Tell me that you’re going out drinking with your team, but go out and attack muggleborns and muggles, and come home and kiss your wife after? And never expect me to find out, and to just keep that up forever? That’s bullshit, Ivan.” Her voice was laced with anger, but it broke with sadness. She wanted desperately for things to return to how they were. She wanted their inside jokes and the gentle way that he touched her back. She wanted her husband back. But she couldn’t stand to look at him for more than a few seconds. A silence fell between them, broken only by the occasional creaks of the fire escape they were sitting on. “When’s your hearing? We ought to start figuring out our story.” Katie said quietly.

“You haven’t slept for days, have you?” (from ivan to katie)

“Is it that obvious?” Katie asked with a soft laugh. The joy in her face quickly faded. How could she sleep when she knew who she was living with? Who she was married to? She hadn’t slept for longer than an hour so since she discovered that Ivan was a Death Eater. She’d lie in her bed examining every conversation that they’ve had, wondering if any of it was the truth. She’d convince herself that everything they ever had was a hoax, only to talk to him in the morning and convince herself of the opposite. What was worse was that his touch reminded her of the necklace, and the dark, filthy magic that had taken over her. She blinked at him. Was the concern genuine, or just another one of his lies? Katie tried not to wince as he wrapped an arm around her shoulder. She couldn’t tell him anything, of course. 

“I think it’s cause of the qualifiers for the championship. I’m sure I’ll sleep well once we’ve won the cup.”

The only difference was that she was older, those rules had transformed themselves into laws, and she was sitting beside her husband. She shook her head and stood. “Ivan, I’m not going to turn myself in, and I’m not afraid to fight you.” She kept a hard grip on her wand as she stepped away from him. If he made any sudden movements, or even said the wrong thing, she wouldn’t hesitate to raise it at him. “That doesn’t mean I want to, and I don’t think you want to fight me either.”

Semi hiatus!!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you know my laptop broke a day or two ago! So it might be a bit before I will be officially online again bc I’m waiting to see about getting a new laptop! I don't know when I will officially be back depending on my mom help hopefully before may but I will try to let everyone know before than!
