I got my baby plants in the mail! I got an autumn mandrake, belladonna, datura and lions tail! 🙂 I can’t wait to get to know these plants better and work with their medical qualities. I got them from strictly medical seeds. #plantmail #plantsofinstagram #plants #poisonpath #poisonplants #strictlymedicinalseeds @strictlymedicinalseeds #mandrake #belladonna #datura #lionstail https://www.instagram.com/p/CfZqyhuhvxy/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Lion’s Tail (Leonotis leonurus )and Blue Lotus (Nymphaea caerulea) are the basis for the Relax and Unwind Blend. They can be smoked or infused into water to make tea, and both have fantastic relaxing qualities, anti-anxiety and euphoric effects. I’ve always loved the combination of violet and orange and it’s especially satisfying here. All of my herbal blends are available linked in bio. #herbalsmokingblend #relaxingherbs #plantspiritmedicine #plantspiritally #ethnobotanicals #ceremonialherbs #bluelotus #lionstail #klipdagga https://www.instagram.com/p/CcJmgVELHkn/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Wild dagga (Leonotis leonurus), also known as Lion’s tail, is a large broadleaf evergreen shrub belonging to the mint family and is native to South Africa. Wild dagga has an amazing array of applications and a very strong connection with South African people. This plant is widely used in traditional medicines to treat a wide range of ailments. The roots are used to treat stings and bites, including snake bites. External mixtures are applied to remedy boils, itches and other skin complaints, as well as muscular cramps. Wild dagga mixtures are also consumed to help high blood pressure, jaundice, haemorrhoids, dysentery, fever, headaches, influenza, asthma and coughs. Leaves are also smoked to help treat epilepsy and partial paralysis. Wild dagga is commonly referred to as ‘wild cannabis’. This is because this plant has very similar effects to those experienced when using cannabis. Calming and sedating sensations are felt when the flowers are consumed as a tea, while euphoric reactions occur when the flowers are smoked. South African tribes have traditionally smoked wild dagga flowers and leaves for its euphoric effect. It is not only South Africans that have long appreciated the benefits of wild dagga, as this plant features strongly in Chinese and Vietnamese culture for its euphoric effects. ・・・ #growninhaiti #wilddagga #daggapuff #leonotisLeonorus #lionstail #medicinal #smokeable #wild #haiti #ayiti #foodforest #agroforestry #natureprovides #diversity https://www.instagram.com/p/B9uEkQnlBJB/?igshid=1cq22tqviu32x

Paris Accordingly . . I set up my Hipstamatic to Shuffle Everything but accidentally turned off my safety net the Save Original. I was a little bummed till I came across this. I walked outside into the bright sunshine and found this beautiful Lions Tail hibiscus bloom. Too bright to see the screen I randomly shot a few photos of it. I thought it appropriate considering the environmental news . . You do not sign your name as one man, you sign it as a nation. As a nation we told the world today that we can not be trusted. . . #environment #parisaccord #environmental #renege #bad #hibiscus #flowers #lionstail #backyard #elephant #sculpture #tikipole #recycled #news #newspaper #print #apple #ipad #iphone #iphone6splus #iphonography . . PS. I wanted to see what stupid twist Fox News put up on their site about trump Reneging on a deal yet again and surprise, at the time I looked after his lecture in the garden, nothing. Instead the cowards at fox ran a slam story on Hillary. Fox, no one cares, she's not the president or in office of any sort so stop being Petty and boring (at City of Desert Hot Springs)

Neptune energies in witchcraft
Neptune energy is not commonly discussed in Witchcraft. When it was discovered in 1848, it had not been used in astrological calculations before that, so it’s acceptance in the birth calculations is not always taken into account by modern astrologers. My personal opinion? These energies have always been here regardless of whether or not they were discovered before. So why not work with them? However many people are not familiar with the energies of Neptune and what this planet brings to witchcraft.
Neptune is the ruling planet of Pisces. It takes 14 years to move out of a particular sign, so it is considered to be a planet whose energies can affect an entire generation. This is why the outer planets are so significant- they bring huge changes for long periods of time and affect a significant number of people. Neptune rules over water- in particular the primal waters of the subconscious mind. It also rules over the spiritual realms, divination, dissolving of boundaries within the self, evolution of the mind, idealism, dreams, the ocean, water, darkness, mental illness, neuroses, insanity and demonic forces. It is in every way associated with the deep dark depths of the self and the subconscious- the self that we are often scared to face, the self we hide from ourselves and others. Just like the ocean, the subconscious mind is full of deep dark depths where horrifying creatures wait for us. The ocean can be a calm and quiet place, but it is just as likely to be turbulent and dangerous, just like our emotions. Water has long been associated with emotional energies in witchcraft, but while the ocean can be a source of fear and darkness, it is also a source of life! This is something ocean deities often teach us- to take a risk and plunge in because the reward is great. Neptune in the signs: Refer to your birth chart for more info (this is a summary only intended as a starting point) Aries: Point of illusion is your own ego. You act on psychic impulses but rarely take into account the other’s opinion. Taurus: Imagination and spiritual energies are channeled into concrete expression. Materialistic nature will be an issue buried deep inside. Gemini: Intuitive energies are channeled into logic. Self belief that you can take on anything will get you in trouble. Cancer: Easily impressionable. Need to make self aware of what is reality and what is illusion. Leo: Ego may hold you hostage. Virgo: Over-analyzing of self and others, afraid to venture into the depths of self without doing this first. Libra: Misplaced idealism in what is beautiful and harmonious, will be aware of the subconscious self and will strive to act out what is beautiful unnecessarily. Scorpio: Placement can induce drug and alcohol problems, Scorpio has a need to connect deeply to the self. But if it doesn’t like what it sees it may find unhealthy coping methods. Sagittarius: Intuition allows you to understand spiritual issues and fit them into your own truth of self. Capricorn: Spiritual ideas are given too much of a practical structure to emerge. Allow for things to flow. Aquarius: Heightened spiritual alignment and intuition, takes on vast and innovative changes to the self. Pisces: A vivid imagination allows you to connect to your spirituality. You risk separation from reality.
How to use Neptune energies It can be difficult to understand the importance of Neptune energy in spell work. Many of us probably struggle to connect to the meaning of certain elements, especially water. Yet emotional energy is one of the driving forces behind some of the spells us witches choose to cast. Many of us struggle to contain emotions or in some cases we struggle with feeling them too- in a society that tells us emotions are bad and unhealthy some of us hide them deep in the self. Yet they are something each of us goes through on a daily basis. Unfortunately there is not a lot of emphasis in this society in learning how to feel and process emotions carefully. Sometimes we have parts of ourselves that are painful to face, or are controlling and negative- like a mental illness. But looking within the issue is ultimately a healing experience and not something to be afraid of. We can call on Neptune's energies to helps us connect with our true dark self- flaws and all through shadow work, dream work, divination and working with spirits. It can also be called on to heal and calm the darkest places by allowing us to come to terms with the reality of what is there. Deep shadow workings Shadow work is essential to becoming a better and happier person. Buddhism often tells us that happiness is within us. Working with Neptune's energies is key to looking within ourselves and finding our own personal understanding of happiness and who we are. Tarot, divination, journaling and trance meditation are all techniques you can use with the help of Neptune to look within yourself as a form of shadow work. Neptune lends a very real and hidden aspect to shadow workings, so working with Neptune in this sense is not for the faint hearted. It will really, really, really reveal your shit. Neptune oil
4 drops of Lavender 2 drops Clary Sage 2 drops Tangerine 1 drop Orange 1 drop Angelica 1 drop Marjoram Carrier oil Leave in the light of Neptune to absorb it’s deep dark energies. Use on the third eye before divination or shadow work where your intention is to look deep into yourself. Dream oil Neptune oil (Olive oil is ok too) Yarrow - Prophetic dreaming Mugwort - Psychic visions Lavender- Sharpens the mind, creates calm sleep Willow bark - Assists in transporting us to the spirit realms. Leave in the light of Neptune to absorb it’s energies that help with dreams. Place a dab on each wrist before sleep. Divination oil Combine Neptune oil with mugwort, frankincense resin and sandalwood chips. Leave in the light of Neptune overnight or until the oil feels “seasoned”. This oil will be perfect for deep shadow working using tarot or any other divination method as a tool to bring up deep shit. Dream, trance and sleep smoke Lionstail Mugwort White lily Damaina Mix the dried herbs in your pipe or roll into a joint. Smoke this blend before sleep to help you fall asleep faster, deeper, and to summon dreams. Works well before divination as well and helps to ease anxiety. It is non-toxic to smoke this blend. Journal down any images after your dream and interpret them with the help of dream dictionaries to get a glimpse at the state of the subconscious mind.

A few have you have asked about pre rolled smoking blends. I have put them together in a set so you can try them all. They are available now and I will have them at the next market. Link in bio. If you are interested in trying ethnobotanical herbs for the first time, these are a great place to start! The effects are subtle, but noticeably different between one blend to another. They can be enjoyed prior to medication or yoga, before or during ritual, or to connect with a specific energy. They are also nice to just enjoy and appreciate them for their flavor, scent and experience. Includes one of each of my smoking blends in a pre-roll test tube. Aphrodisia- damiana, rose, vanilla bean, passionflower Relax & Unwind-lion’s tail, blue lotus, spearmint, calendula, mint Nepenthes-wild lettuce, california poppy, blue lotus, rose petal Dreamer’s Blend-mexican dream herb, skullcap, mullein No shipping to Louisiana. #herbalprerolls #herbalsmokingblend #herbalcigarette #herbalsmoke #damiana #bluelotus #lionstail #passionflower #aphrodisia #caleazacatechihi #mexicandreamherb #plantspiritmedicine #plantspiritally #poisonpath #ethnobotanicals https://www.instagram.com/p/CSR8jPYLZ92/?utm_medium=tumblr

Dear Herbalists, please share your favorite uses for Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca)! I learned from Susan Weed that the Greeks used it for anxious mothers (hence the common name), and that it is also good for the heart (hence the species name) and the plant looks like a lion's tail (hence the genus). Here we see the seed stalk of a mother Motherwort, who is perhaps experiencing empty nest syndrome, as most seeds have already fallen to the ground below, leaving hollow seed pods like a pillar of hungry baby birds. This plant is from Southeastern Europe and Central Asia, and is an important herbal medicine in both Eastern and Western traditions. I walked away with many of these pointy seed pods attached to my clothes. #mixedmetaphors #motherwort #dearherbalists #Leonuruscardiaca #lionstail #heartmedicine #anxietymedicine (at Newtown Square, Pennsylvania)

Im always surprised and happy when seeds pop up in pots where they haven't been planted 😊❤️ I'm quite sure that this little sweetheart is Leonotis nepetifolia (Klip Dagga) and she just wanted to grow indoor before I plant her outdoor in full sun 😉🌿 I guess all of you know how it is and feels like when plants/seeds go their own way and grow where THEY decide to grow..and not the gardener 😊🙏🌈 Keep it growing #grow #growing #garden #gardening #klipdagga #wilddagga #leonotis #leonotisnepetifolia #dagga #lionsear #lionstail #löwenohr #topf #gärtnern #garten #frühling #gardenshaman#gardenshamaneu #gardenshaman.eu https://www.instagram.com/p/CMo5X-NM4Bz/?igshid=quvr8en94y39
