Thinking about Gotham always reminds me they made a McGuffin happen to Ivy that aged her body but not her mind. So for the rest of the show she was just a child in a sexy mid-twenties (?) lady's body and they had like one and a half "did you know if you look like this people just give you things???" born-sexy-yesterday naivety moments but then...... She was just seductive adult Ivy. She was at most 17 on the inside but they wrote her as a sexy villainesse because apparently if she's not in dramatic dresses hypnotising men to do her bidding there is nothing she could possibly do!

Maybe this is why Selina never got a plotline; because they couldn't figure out how to get a teenager in a sexy catsuit and have her lust for sparkly things and say meow a lot as she makes sexual innuendo at Bruce without being creeps about it.

interviewer: So, at the end of season 2 we get some doppelganger action, someone who looks a little bit like you, only with longer hair. What's going on there?

THEY CAME THROUGH ON THE COBBLEPOT BEING IN LOVE WITH NYGMA THING. WHAT. I mean literally all of the shots were set up like romantic shots and the music was SUPER DUPER romantic whenever they were talking to each other and COBBLEPOT STARES AT NYGMA LIKE THE MOST LOVESICK FOOL. Like, I started watching their scenes together cause I couldn’t believe they’d really frame them so obviously romantically. I assumed they’d never go through with it. But they did.

Okay, so, Selina’s down one life from that time she fell out of a window a while ago, but she still has eight (and they’re rushing her into surgery in the preview and surely, SURELY even the writers of this show know how stupid it would be to kill her off and try and replace her with her twin or something......................), so she’s going to be JUST FINE.

I mean I’m glad they made it canon, with the way it’s been set up! That would’ve just been absurd otherwise, what with the way they were shot, and the musical cues they had and everything. And it certainly gets more attention, as a romantic plotline, than Barbara/Tabitha got/gets, but. *shrugs* Yeah. Doesn’t make Babs and Tabs any less queer.
