AAAAAA YES YES. OTL Azul who is only familiar with mer courtship and sex customs, so he's fully prepared to give himself to you after he spends so much time mulling it over. anon's request: noo bc i've been thinking about this for a while (all the time) imagine the reader from district 8 who's with finnick always sewing random fish patterns into his clothes or any cloth-related items bc of his district!!!

Finnick would always invite girlfriend!reader to District Four because this man has major attachment issues, so you practically live at his house and are both attached to the hip. And one day he would find this little lionfish embroidered onto the cuff of his favourite sweater, which oddly resembles the colour of his hair.

His first instinct would be to call out to you. "Sweetheart?"

And you would respond with a "Hm?" from another room in the house, sneakily sewing something onto another item of his clothing. He would be curiously inspecting the little creature that had taken up residence on his shirt as he padded through the house to your whereabouts.

Just as he entered the room you were in, he would begin, "Why is there a—"

He'd cut himself short as he looked up and saw you sitting comfortably in a lounge chair, legs tucked beneath your body, a soft, knitted blanket draped over your lap, and a sewing kit lying on the side table. In your hands were a pair of his pants.

One of his eyebrows raised. "You've got my pants."

You looked up to find him standing in the doorway. "I do," you replied.

He took a step closer. "And you're sewing them."

"I am."

Another step. "And there's a fish sewed onto my sweater..."

You simply smiled at him—an adorable proud little smile. God, you looked so cute he genuinely felt to urge to lean down and pinch your cheeks between his fingers, but then he remembered he was your boyfriend, not your grandmother.

"Not that I'm not in absolute awe of your sewing abilities but—" He chuckled, shaking his head— "why?"

You shrugged, piercing a sewing needle through the waistband of the pants in your lap. "You're from District Four; fishes are kind of your thing, are they not? Plus, it's pretty," you said, then your voice lowered to a soft murmur. "Like you."

His stomach fluttered and he almost giggled like a little girl at your words. Once he got close enough, he kneeled beside the chair you were sitting in, watching as your delicate fingers manoeuvred the needle and yarn into the outline of a seahorse. He smiled to himself.

"Do you think I should start weaving clothes for you? Considering your district's all about making clothes and stuff," he said with a smirk.

"Like a dress made out of netting? It wouldn't leave much to the imagination."

"You won't hear this mouth complaining," Finnick said, the image of you walking around the house clad in a black net dress overcoming his mind.

Your cheeks warmed with a horrible blush and you decided to focus your attention entirely on the seahorse in the effort to overcome the sudden lewd thoughts involving his mouth.

Finnick continued watching in amazement as you managed to turn a few colours of yarn into a beautiful seahorse on the waistband of his pants. He wondered how many other pieces of clothing of his you had managed to infiltrate with various sea creatures. When his eyes caught on a bright blob of colour on the underside of the shirt sleeve he was wearing, he smiled, knowing he had gotten his answer.

His gaze flickered back to you, observing the look of concentration on your face as you sewed—the gentle crinkle of your furrowed brows, the subtle curl of your lips, and every now and then, the small twitch of your nose like that of a bunny, the pink of your blush adding to the image.

He couldn't help but prop his folded arms on the arm of the chair, chin resting on his forearms as he shamelessly and blatantly admired the changes in your facial expressions. He noticed as your eyes began to occasionally flicker toward him, your attention increasingly beginning to drift.

A few minutes later, you exhaled a heavy sigh. "You're so distracting."

"You're so adorable," he replied almost dreamily.

There it was again. The humiliating pink flush of your cheeks.

He grinned, humming a quiet laugh as he rose to his feet to plant a kiss on the top of your head.

"Can I make one request?" he asked.

"Perhaps."

His eyes fell to the lionfish on the shirt in his hands, eyes sparkling with child-like joy. "Sew some of these onto your own clothes so we can match."

A wide smile stretched across your lips.

Within the next week, you and Finnick were a giggling mess, sporting matching sweatshirts embroidered with big blue dolphins, each one's blowhole featuring a small red heart just above.

For some background, the ‘tank’ is just open ocean that is sectioned off by a netted divider so nothing can get in or out. There’s an underwater conservatory full of humans below but the glass is one sided so Pickle can’t see the humans and attack them.

Now you weren’t supposed to be in his tank. That was an accident on the researcher’s part. You screamed when you saw the massive merman in the tank who made a beeline towards you

Thank goodness the bottom of the tank had a large coral reef with plenty of anemone or you were sure you’d be eaten. The megalodon whining when the pink anemone stung his hand. The giant merman cradling his hand in pain

You peak your head out from the anemone in curiosity. The merman hunched over in the sand as he held his hand. He looked so sad…

You hesitantly reach your hand out of the anemone and rub his back. The merman whipping his head around to look at you. His gold eyes widening in realization that you’re like him. A smile now on his face as his large body towers over yours

And so starts your forced friendship with the merman known as Pickle. He would lay in front of your anemon all day to try to catch a glimpse of you. Sometimes he would swim over it

You rarely came out unless it was to grab some food. Pickle’s eyes would shine when he notices how fond you are of crustaceans. He’ll start bringing you them as well as some clams and algae. His face lighting up when you accept his gift.

Pickle destroys any of the human’s machines that try to come get you. He won’t let them anywhere near you. He doesn’t understand they’re trying to take you out of there because you were never supposed to be in there in the first place

The humans begin to study Pickle’s behavior more and they notice his gift giving becoming more frequent. He must see you, the clownfish, as a mate. They weren’t quite sure how to help you. There was no way you two were compatible…

Pickle rejected every other tank mate before you (he ate them). You were simply lucky (or in this case, unlucky)

You were originally going to be put in a tank with a potential mate (Lionfish Baki) but instead had somehow ended up in Pickle’s enclosure. The merman was so attached to you and he was so desperate for your approval

That’s when the shiny shell gifts began. Pickle began to bring you so many pretty shells and you were still terrified of him… he would whine whenever you ignore his gifts

It was when you swam out of the anemone and accepted his gift (a pink conch) that he scooped you up in his hands. Your screams not deterring him from hugging you and pressing his lips to your cheek

You’re then forced to cuddle with the shark merman. His large body and vice hold making escape impossible so you had to suck it up

Pickle dotes on you endlessly. He’s actually really sweet even though he can’t speak or sing. Pickle was able to pick up sign language to communicate with you.

Pickle enjoys your songs. He likes listening to your voice… he just wished you wanted to swim with him more. He hated that you would spend time in the anemone where he couldn’t reach you

Pickle is incredibly clingy. He cries and wails loudly when he can’t be with you. He’s such a baby… a baby that tears apart anything that tries to separate you two (save for the anemone but their days are numbered)

I had a few ideas for how to exactly to execute this prompt, and couldn’t decide so I did a bit of both!

Kyle: lionfish- Kosher fish lol. Their spikes and color remind me of him.

Ike: Rainbow trout- they’re found in Canada. Also a kosher fish!

Stan: Blue Dragon Slug- honestly just a gut feeling. His merman tail would be smaller than others because the creature he’s based on only grows to about 4 cm

I ended up making merfolk designs for both of them, but I do have more drawings with only one as a merman and the other human.

I can see Stan in the little mermaid role pretty easily actually just due to his general kindhearted nature! I think if either of the two played the role of Ariel it would be him lmao.

On the other hand if Kyle was the little mermaid, I’d see him more like the classic tales of mermaids/sirens. I think he’d want to screw with the humans as much as possible to get them away from his home.

Hi, mera! Lionfish anon here,, think tumblr gobbled up my previous attempts to send this, but 3rd time’s the charm!! :]

I read your alpha stalker Jade fic, and realized he reminds me of a video essay I watched recently, “The Horror of Having a Body” by Clark Elieson on YouTube (https://youtu.be/j0fucPpR1K0?si=mjtzEd58jT-aOQJh). The quote, “swapping bodily fluids like this clearly has some sexual undertone, albeit in a way that feels foreign to the act of sex itself” (18:38 - 18:46) reminds me of him, especially in DRU. While I’m not positive on how a sexual encounter between him and the reader would go, I don’t feel it would be sexual or arousing in the way many associate with the intimacy of the bedroom— instead, I imagine something closer to the concept of Jouissance discussed earlier in the video; something painful, overwhelming, and quite frankly traumatizing, yet so incredibly pleasurable, something you can’t get enough of no matter how much you hate it. He is an antagonizing pleasure, in my mind at least.

The main thing that made me think of this is alpha stalker Jade’s views on omegas, which led me to connecting him to the Bloodborne sections, of which are closely interlinked with sexuality and illness— things betwixt with the image of Jade I have in my mind. He’s a sick, twisted individual, apathetic to those he does not value, painted beautifully by yourself. “The love that is remorseless when he’s bruised and bloodied his knuckles,” he is remorseless, and if not for that ambrosial love he feels, it would (and has, with his original intent to leave you with the realization you’re in heat) apply to you too.

He’s an enigma (and I love him for it), one so accustomed to his mind; no matter the web he must build, the months he must haunt, he will sink his teeth into you eventually. He will make you his.

His want to be gentle and composed is very interesting to me though! The line, “Although maybe it’s his own voice confessing such saccharine phrases” draws out how one sided this is. Despite the act he puts on, he can’t help the declaration, like a subconscious part of him acknowledges that this might not be you, that you might not feel the same, even when so sexual and heat-drunk. Though, in the end, he claims you. He feels whole, every piece of him coming together in what I assume is an ethereal chorus, for you are paradisiacal and he has attained something seraphic.

Comparing Jade to an "antagonizing pleasure" is such a good way to describe him, especially in the context of DRU!!! He's something that you know is bad for you in every sense, but you can't help it. He's all you have in this dreadful, traumatizing situation. The corpse lying stiff and cold in the bathtub won't provide the comfort that he can give you, however basic it may be. Jade's care is merely obligation; he does it because he can't let you die or risk spoiling any of your parts, and if you wanted to be cruel with the comparison,,, in a way it's as if he's a farmer raising livestock. Sure, he cares enough to feed you and make sure you're comfortable, but it doesn't go beyond that (for now). Jade's feelings are so complex and he's forever difficult to read, but it is very interesting all the same! I won't spoil anything regarding the sex scenes in DRU, but I will say that you make such good points. It's definitely more of a jouissance.

Aaaaaa alpha stalker Jade!!! He's such a menace, so cold and remorseless... Had he not fallen in love (read: obsession), his apathy most definitely extends to you (and it did, as you noted how willing he was to leave the poor Reader when they are in a bind). I think Jade is so set in his ways in that fic, so accustomed to being an alpha and being around alphas. He doesn't go out of his way to seek out omegas, and he doesn't fully grasp the appeal until he's experiencing it with someone he adores (the reader).

I really do love this sort of Jade! He only opens his heart for a select few, and when he does love he loves to suffocating extremes. >_< he's willing to play such a long waiting game if what lies at the end of that is the sole thing he's been aiming for: you. And if not, he'll do everything within his power to make it so. He's so stubbornly attached. Even if some part of him knows your judgment is clouded with heat, he gets avaricious and claims you anyway. There's some complex scheme hidden within his intentions and choices to do what he does when he does, but you'll never know it. :)

Heyy chase anon here, ive been gone for awhile i almost died during labourr, anyway im back now and ready to send more

Anywayyyy, merformers and Rescue bots!

I feel like Chase would be a Mako shark mer or a Grey Reef shark mix, Both very pretty. But he’d be extremely protective of his babies. Or an orca!

Heatwave would be a bull shark or a red lionfish type mer, dangerous yet pretty.

Blades would probably be flying fish type mer, but he rarely actually flies out of the water.

Boulder would be a beluga whale, because i love them!

But even better if they’re all Orcas and create a pod.

The four of them in a private quarantine facility that’s mostly ran by the burns and the greene’s, since these species are rarely seen and if they’re to be put in aquariums or bigger facilities they need to be quarantined and brought up to health.

At first none of them get along, Chase will only interact with blades since he’s the least annoying and only ever surfaces or goes into the socialising pools if it’s to find Blades or if he gets lured out with food.

Heatwave isolates himself, refusing to leave his private tank and usually only snaps at cade, other then that he’s extremely relaxed and isn’t exactly bothered by touch or the humans in the shallow parts of his tank.

Blades is extremely flighty, yet tries to socialise with the other three whenever he can, and is usually seen surfacing and learning the human language- like boulder

Speaking of boulder, he’s the clever one, and extremely social, so usually he’s being distracted with puzzles or speaking with graham.

Anyway thats all i can think off because im loopy but i wanted them to accidentally pop out babies and idk how it’d work. If they were Orcas the babies would be well taken care of, and we need. We need chase with six titties cause i said so

Finally, merformers rescue bots. I honestly think the funniest (and also hottest. to me) way for them to start popping out babies is while the facility is open to public (probably forced by the mayor or something) and one of ‘em just swims by, stops, squirms, and pushes out a little merpup, in front of all these people. I hope it’s Chase and he gets humiliated. He didn’t mean to do that. 

also yeah, six titties Chase. I want his titties to start swelling while he‘s carrying and after a while he can‘t even keep ‘em covered anymore, forced even further into self-isolation because he‘s embarrassed… but he has to be wrangled out of the tank anyways so that someone can examine him. He‘s usually fairly well behaved around humans, but with his titties so swollen and sensitive he doesn‘t think he can stop himself from thrashing his tail whenever someone tries to touch the puffy nozzles… hgrhhh i don‘t know why i‘m trying to humiliate Chase so much.
