As the moon rose, the world beyond your hotel window fell into a peaceful slumber. The faint sound of crickets could be heard singing their calming melody. The peaceful night ambiance would’ve been enough to put you to sleep had it not been for your frantic beating heart.
In front of you lies your traveling companion, Link, whose back was practically against the wall, arms wrapped around himself as if afraid to accidentally touch you.
The silence in the room was deafening, neither of you knew what to say in this situation. After sleeping on the hard ground for weeks the two of you had agreed to spend the night at The Great Ton Pu Inn. The rain that quickly followed your decision only fueled your excitement for a comfy bed as the two of you rushed up the hill leading to Hateno Village. What neither of you expected was for every room to be booked, every room but one with a single bed.
Despite both of you being tired from traveling, neither of you could fall asleep because of the awkward tension that hung in the air. Ignoring it was proving to be impossible, someone had to say something, but you were hesitant to break the silence for fear of making things awkward (as if they weren’t already). You had been traveling with Link for weeks, months even! The two of you have shared several nights close together under the comfort of the stars, what makes now so different?
Maybe it was the smirk the front desk lady had given you both after handing you your key, maybe it was because despite how much you prayed for a room with two beds to miraculously become available you were secretly happy to share a bed with the Hylian boy, or maybe it was because despite you looking everywhere but him you could feel his eyes on you.
Just say something, anything!
You clear your throat, shuffling nervously under the blanket. “Um.. Rupee for your thoughts?” You asked in a hushed voice, an awkward smile making its way onto your face.
Link blinked rapidly in response, likely surprised by your sudden question. He continued to stare at you in silence, now tense as his cheeks turned a bright red.
Thinking you made him uncomfortable you quickly rise out of the bed. “Sorry! You know what maybe I should just sleep on the couch—”
Before you had the chance to remove the blanket from your body Link quickly sat up in bed and reached out to grab your wrist, shaking his head furiously. You stop when he does, slightly surprised to see how fast he had reacted when he looked so tired earlier. Your eyes fall on his hand which, despite the quick reaction, holds your wrist just tight enough to keep you from leaving but loose enough for you to pull away if you so wished. Realizing what he did he slowly pulls away. You immediately miss the warmth.
He looks down, blush remaining on his cheeks as he nervously fiddles with his fingers. “Don’t go, I..” he pauses, unsure if he should finish his thought. He looked up to see you staring at him patiently, waiting for him to finish. That was one thing he loved about you; you were always so patient with him. Although he was more talkative than he was 100 years ago he often found himself struggling to express what he wanted, likely an unconscious habit that stayed with him through his century-long sleep. Despite this you never hurried or pressured him into talking, allowing him to do it at his own pace. Taking a deep breath he continued. “.. I like being close to you.”
As soon as the words left his mouth you felt your cheeks burn. Did you hear him right or was it just a hallucination caused by the late hour of the night? You thought about pinching yourself, but the way he nervously played with his fingers (a habit you found adorable) and the way the ends of his hair curled up just a bit revealing a small scar on his shoulder made it too real to be a dream.
After a few moments of silence Link looked up, seeing your shocked expression. He quickly backtracked, thinking he made you uncomfortable with what he said. “Unless you don’t! That’s fine!—”
“I do!”
Link freezes upon hearing your response. You awkwardly clear your throat. “I-I mean, I also like being close to you..” you nearly whisper, feeling your ears burn with the embarrassment of blurting it out earlier.
Then the room went silent. Your heart was frantically beating against your chest; you hoped Link couldn’t hear it.
Your fear was proven false (unbeknownst to you) as Link was currently lost in his own mind. Link had become so accustomed to seeing you in that golden campfire glow that the current sight of you left him breathless. He thought you looked even more captivating in the moonlight.
He slowly nodded his head, eyes refusing to leave your form. “Ok.” He responded in a daze. It was the only thing Link could think to say as his mind was still elsewhere.
“We should probably sleep now..” You looked past Link and out the window, seeing the moon high in the clear sky. “It’s getting late.”
Link hummed, snapping out of the trance he was in and nodding his head in agreement. You settled back under the blanket and he followed your actions. Despite your earlier conversation, there was still a good chunk of space between the two of you on the small bed.
Wanting him to come closer, you begin to think of a way to convince him. “You know, it’s kind of cold in here.” You whispered (a small lie, it was the middle of summer), but you knew Link heard you when he looked back at you. Deciding to take a chance you scoot closer to him and you hear his breath hitch. “So I wouldn’t mind if.. you came closer.”
Hesitantly, Link listened and with a smile scooted just a little bit closer. You breathed out a sigh of relief you didn’t even know you were holding, moving closer to him again. Beneath the blanket, your hand slowly moved to reach his. As your fingers slowly grazed his he flinched. You were about to pull away before he intertwined his hand with yours. There’s that familiar warmth.
He pulled your hand close to his chest, gently tugging you closer. You complied, wordlessly moving closer to him once again. The distance between your bodies was minimal now; you were so close you could see the faintest freckles gracing his cheeks.
“Are you still cold?” He asked in a low whisper. You nodded your head (another lie, you were already beginning to feel sweaty). You couldn’t help it, now that you’ve experienced what it’s like to be close to him you crave more. Being greedy just this once wouldn’t hurt.
Link lets go of your hand, wrapping his arms around you to bring you against his chest. Your eyes widen at the sudden action, but you don’t pull away.
“Better?”
You nodded, slowly wrapping your arms around him in case he flinched away. When he didn’t you fully wrapped your arms around his torso and snuggled into him, a painfully large grin stretching across your face when he did the same. Your palms were sweaty as they tightly gripped his shirt. He smelled earthy, like damp dirt with a hint of smoke. You sighed in contentment, not caring that the two of you would likely wake up sweaty tomorrow. You didn’t release your grip and neither did he.
You silently thanked Hylia for not answering your prayer earlier before falling into a deep sleep.

contains: yandere link (botw/totk) x reader, nothing too explicit, but still 18+, ise-kaid reader but it kinda just starts when you’re already in hyrule, maybe i’ll post the next ‘chapters’ the following weeks if i remember to ehem
word count: ~1400

You and him find a secluded spot in the woods to spend the night.
He thoroughly scouts out the immediate area for a moment, making sure that there are no monsters around.
It’s late into the night, almost midnight, so he hurries up preparing everything - not that there’s much to prepare. But he lights a fire, and he puts down his bedroll, and he tells you to use it. He’ll keep watch, he tells you.
“Is this really okay?” you say in a tired voice.
He nods. “I bet you’re not used to sleeping on the ground.”
“Mmh.” you would argue further, but you’re so tired that you don’t protest, just lay down. It’s not as bad as you thought. He insisted on making sure there were no rocks beneath the bedroll, not even the tiniest thing - smooth ground all the way. You pull the thin covers over you and rest your head on the pillow. You don’t close your eyes yet, however.
He looks at you and smiles. “Sleep well.”
Quickly after, you fall asleep.
⚔️⋆。°✩ ⋆ ⋆ ❁ ⋆ ⋆ ✩°。⋆ ⚔️
It’s early morning, around four, when you wake again. He’s laying next to you, arms tightly wrapped around you, right hand placed beneath your shirt, on your back. His hand feels surprisingly soft, although some of the callousness you’d expect due to his, uh, living circumstances, is also there. He’s breathing softly, and definitely asleep. His sword and other weapons are placed right next to the bed roll.
You find yourself not knowing how to react. Although this is definitely a bit forward, he did lend you his bedroll, and has been so, so nice to you so far. If not for him… you don’t know how you would’ve gotten along in this world. Probably gobbled up by some monsters. He deserves some rest too…
A voice - his voice - snaps you out of your thoughts.
“Darling…”
You notice that he’s sleeping - breathing as softly and evenly as before, hand still located on your back. Perhaps he is dreaming about his lover? You hope that this isn’t one of those dreams. That’d be really weird. But you guess that even if that’s so - not like that’d be his fault. He can’t help what he’s dreaming about.
“‘M… never… going to let you go,” he continues.
You can’t help but smile a little. Yes, you decide, he’s definitely dreaming about a lover. You wonder if you’ll ever meet them. You fall asleep again.
⚔️⋆。°✩ ⋆ ⋆ ❁ ⋆ ⋆ ✩°。⋆ ⚔️
It’s later in the morning when you wake up again.
You stretch and yawn. He gives you a friendly nod once he sees that you’re awake and waves at you.
“Good morning!” you say.
He smiles back at you, then turns back to the fireplace. He seems to be grilling the mushrooms he collected yesterday. You smile at the smell and get up from the bedroll.
He’s wearing his armour, and all of his weapons on him. You remember that he did wear his armour in bed with you - you felt the metal on his shoulders pressed against your chest - he must’ve put the weapons back on. It only makes sense, after all.
You can’t help but think of him sleeping next to you… he seems to be unbothered by it. Maybe it’s just a common thing among travellers? You decide to not think anything else of it.
You fold the blanket and the pillow, and roll up the bedroll. You have to bend over to pick up the bedroll, and you feel like he glances over at you for a moment as you do so…
Snap out of it! you tell yourself. He’s probably just making sure that you’re folding it up correctly. Besides, if you’re going with the dream he had earlier, he's already got someone else, so don’t get your hopes up!
You place all the parts of the makeshift bed together. He doesn’t look at you again, but rather, seems to stare at the fire and continue preparing the mushrooms.
You decide that since he’s made sure that the area is safe just last night, some mild exploring might do you some good. The noise of your steps is overshadowed by the cackling fire and muffled by the dampness of the forest floor.
⚔️⋆。°✩ ⋆ ⋆ ❁ ⋆ ⋆ ✩°。⋆ ⚔️
After a few more minutes of roasting the mushrooms over the fire, he stretches a little and decides to sit down. As he stares into the fire, he reflects on last night. Admittedly, laying down next to you was a bit forward…
But then again. He allowed you to travel with him, although you’re slower, and he allowed you to sleep on his bedroll. And he defended you against the monsters, and he’s making you food right now. He deserves a bit of comfort, doesn’t he?
‘Hopefully, the bedroll will keep her scent for a while.’ he catches himself thinking. ‘If she’s always with me… then I’ll never have to worry about that…’ a part of his mind continues.
He catches himself staring into the flames and entertaining the thought. He imagines you living with him, in a house built by him, near a village of your choosing. He imagines you and him sleeping next to each other, perhaps even more entangled together than last night.
He could make you food. Maybe you could keep horses. He could use his strong arms and knowledge of weapons for something other than fighting. Although… if someone were to get too close to you… He’ll make sure to never forget how to properly handle people like that.
But there’s a certain tranquillity in thinking about how everyday life would be with you.
You and him could design a house together: you said you’d like to stargaze, so obviously, there’d be a large balcony.
It could connect to the bedroom; he imagines a big bed where you can sleep on the proper mattress that you deserve. Next to him, of course. He could build it himself. He knows that he’s rather strong; so, since he wants it to be a place where he can have you all to himself, he’ll need to make sure that the bed is built in a way to be able to keep up with that. And it’ll need a big canopy - a physical thing to keep out the outside world. He’ll get to keep you all to himself there.
And he’ll build you a nice big closet, so that you can keep all the luxurious clothes he’ll buy for you. He wonders what you’d like to wear… He thinks about buying you jewellery. Small amber earrings. A necklace… perhaps one of those tight ones, that would go around your neck. And he’d make sure that you have a ring on, too, just like he will. He wants you to have a closet full of pretty clothes. Maybe you’d ‘steal’ some of his too… you in his tunic… he smiles at the thought. You, in the morning, perhaps still slightly sleepy - quickly getting out of bed, searching for something to wear. Maybe you’d just quickly slip on some of his clothes. You’d sit on a nearby chair and smile at him. And there’d be a big desk for you to paint and craft and write by.
You’d also want a nice bathroom, probably. A really modern one, where you could shower… perhaps with him. And it’d need a bathtub, too!
And he’d make sure to build a strong, big staircase… it could lead right into the living room. He’d like a kitchen area that would connect to the living room… just a big open space. So that he can always watch you. You could cook together, and he’d make all your favourite meals. And he’d make sure that you’d have a big sofa, to cuddle on and hang out on and maybe indulge in other activities there too.
The windows would be big and open, to always let the sun in.
And maybe, if you’d like it, you’d keep horses. He wonders what you’d name yours. He could teach you how to ride… maybe help you catch one. Or maybe you’d only have one horse, and he’d never teach you to ride, so that you’d always have to rely on him to get around. So that he’d always be around you. And you’d sit behind him on his horse, and he’d purposely ride a little faster than you’re used to, and you’d hold onto his waist.
He finds himself smiling. The thought makes him feel warm inside, in a way that he’s not used to. He thinks that you must be feeling hungry, so he picks up one of the mushroom skewers from the fireplace. He turns around to face you. His smile falls. You’re not there.

Yo can I request something kinda like the post I had with the reader as the light dragon but for whoever you want to write for and their reaction? And their reaction when the reader turns back? I can just imagine so much fluffy stuff when they hold the reader in their arms again!
A/n:MY FRIEND! I AM SORRY THIS TOOK ME SO LONG!
Tumblr media
This was the only way the only way to make sure everyone you cared for was safe.Tears were streaming down your cheeks as you swallowed the stone, the sword clutched tightly to your chest. A bright light engulfing your body you vaguely heard Zelda’s voice then nothing.
Your last thought of being the one you loved most.

Tumblr media
Before
Couldn’t believe it at first, refused to believe it but seeing the tears watching what you went through. It made him sick.
He hated that he couldn’t have done something to protect you, He should have protected you because you should have never had to do something like that in the first place.
Link try’s to find comfort knowing you’re still alive, that you’re okay since it’s the only way he can move on.
He has too because it’s the only way he can fight to get you back.
After
Seeing you sleeping in the fields, it took a moment for him to realize that you were finally back, that you were back. He kept chanting in his head as he rushed to your side. He held you close, breathing in your scent praying that this was real. That it wasn’t some dream that he’d soon wake up from.
Your voice was soft as you held him, it finally hit him that he was crying in your arms.
“Thank you Link.”
But nothing mattered because you were back in his arms and he was never going to let you go again.
Pulling back for a moment you let your thumb brush his tears away, Link did his best to press his palm in your hand. He didn’t need to say anything, it just felt good to hold you again.
Leaning in he then placed his lips against yours keeping you tight against his chest. Returning the kiss you nearly melted in the man’s arms, you were finally home.
+ Zelda +
Tumblr media
Before
She blamed herself, it should have been her! Why wasn’t it her. She couldn’t even look Link in the eyes, she felt so weak. She buries herself into research finding anyway to get you back. She keeps thinking that it should have been her, hates how people keep taking about you.
Zelda is determined to get you back, she will get you back!
After
Immediately tackles you in for a hug, it’s a little suffocating and you’re a little dazed and tired but you’re here and you’re back.
She’s scared to let you go so you just let her hold you, your fingers gently patting her back to reassure her.
“I’m sorry Zelda…I couldn’t.”
“It doesn’t matter! You’re here now y/n.” Zelda smiled softly, tear sliding down her cheeks as she rested her head against yours.
Laughing softly you cupped her cheeks drawing her in for a soft kiss. Breaking the kiss, Zelda let out a soft laugh she let herself relax in your arms. “I am so happy that you are okay.”
+ Sidon +
Tumblr media
Before
Takes him much longer to find out, he heard rumors about you vanishing along with the Princess and Link and yet he refused to believe it. You couldn’t just vanish with out him knowing. Not when you both had a wedding to plan.
But when he sees a dragon flying over the Zora's Domain he couldn’t help but feel a sense of familiarity tugging at his heart strings but it wasn’t until Link and Zelda came he finally found out what happened.
He nearly broke down, his love changed to protect everyone. You were so close yet so far away, so out of reach from him. He was going to do anything in his power to get you back to him.
After
You were so tired, you didn’t remember much but it finally felt so good to be back in your lovers arms. Even though the man dwarfed you in height it did not stop him from lifting you off the ground to hold you as he nuzzled his face into your neck.
“I am so happy to have you home my love.”
Blinking back your own tears you smiled hiding your face into his neck. “I am happy to be home to.”
+ Teba +
Tumblr media
Before
Teba couldn’t help but feel troubled hearing of your disappearance. He scolded himself for even letting you go along with the two. It made him feel worse knowing finding out what really happened to you but of course he would have to keep that information to himself.
He would often find himself flying next to you, it gave him some comfort even though you might not recognize him at least you were still here.
After
Easily caught you as soon as you started to fall, he chuckled at your flushing face. He did not realize how much he missed it. It felt good to hold you again and know matter how much you protested about being put down he knew that was not going to happen anytime soon.
He felt warm, he felt like home and it felt good to see him again. Sighing you shook her head pressing her face into the crook of his neck.

Being the lady-in-waiting to Princess Zelda, the opportunities to fraternize with Link were plentiful. Awkward to be sure at first– the knight seemed to have a special relationship with the Princess that didn’t seem to extend to others in the vicinity, you quickly found as the duties you accomplished together were always done over long stretches of silence. Not that he was ever rude to you or made you insecure about your working relationship, but it was clear he was an objective-first type of person and that was understandable, as you were both servants to the royal family.
But in a moment of coincidence, of weakness, all of that came to an end.
You tripped and he had tried to catch you before you fell. The reason suddenly no longer mattered as you locked on the solitary knight’s piercing blues, all too aware of how his body was lumbering so close to yours, somehow having tumbled above you in the scuffle.
He should get up. He needs to get up but his arms caged by your sides lock in place. He can’t move because he doesn’t want to move.
You end up kissing him, the impulse like a jolt to your system. His lips are stiff at first, innocent but he soon relents, learning with you. He learns from you.
So it sure is convenient the two of you interact so often.
It makes it easy for you to get away with moments like this, where you’re pressed deep into the corner of one of the castle’s many chambers by none other than the knight himself. When he should be tending to his duties, he’s with you, making you bend over obscenely for him as he milks your pussy of every drop it’s got.
You tremble, calves twitching as your cunt takes another load. You shiver, hiss escaping your barely parted lips as you feel a particularly thick glob slide down your leg. Your pussy feels feather light, your nerves twitching with sparks as you force your excited body to swiftly return to normal, lest anyone catch on to your little rendezvous with the knight.
You meet him another time in the barracks, intending only to deliver a message on behalf of the Princess but instead you’re being hoisted high up, his toned muscles flexing so tersely as he forces you into a full nelson position, your legs dangling helplessly as he stuffs you with inches of his swollen cock. You whimper, pussy never tiring of the man shoving it all inside you until your insides feel like mush. Until your insides start to crave him.
He doesn’t talk much and he does when he’s with you, only it’s with his mouth moving against your ears as he whispers your name. Whispers that you’re so tight as his hips swing in an upward jerking motion, stretching your hole wide with the thickness of his girth. Grunts once, twice, all the way until he’s done flooding your gummy walls with his opaque cum.
So yes, you’re close to all servants of the royal family. Some more than others.

Fairy link hcs
+Gen neutral
(got this idea from totk and the mushroom statues in hateno being so big compared to them and my brain flew off the hinges) (ps this isnt fully proof read will fix later)
-Imagine Hylians are fairy like creatures similar to tinker bell
-You stumble upon hyrule when you were chasing after your cat that ran off
-They noticed you after you found them caused quite the uproar
-I mean some gigantic being without pointy ears suddenly towering over you and your village kinda scares the crap out of people
-Of course our dear link was sent to take care of the scary giant lurking over them but zelda also demanded she come with, this being the first giant they have ever seen this big
-They come to confront you but when you simple smile and wave, equally curious about these small beings it doesn’t really make sense
-They aren’t sure what to make of you but seeing that you’re just kinda... standing there they come to the conclusion that you’re just like some random animal that just happened upon them
-Becoming a friendly visitor to the village and zelda’s new best friend
-She of course is way too overjoyed to have you there
-you usually spend your time there on your hands and knees to bring your face down to their level when you're with them
-You have to talk quietly when you're with them so you don’t hurt their ears, basically whispering the whole time
-On the same token they have to speak fairly loud when they’re with you to have you hear them pretty clearly
-Link thinks you’re pretty cool
-He looks forward to your visits to the village
-Enjoys your talks together
-The closer you two get the more you start to wander off away from hyrule to hang out in the forest
-Afterall being so big means most of the kingdom can see you no matter where in it you are
-Link takes great pleasure in naps and time together spent in your hands or a wrinkle in your clothes
-Has been known to leave his sword and shield at home when with you
-Link’s most favorite thing to do with you is to be eye level with you and have talks face to face
-Seeing just how beautiful your eyes are will warrant many compliments from the small hylian
-Link likes to hang around you when off duty or even when he’s taking care of some evil he likes to tag along with you when you help
-Because of your size and ability, you have been dubbed the first and only honorary giant, by zelda herself, to help assist the kingdom with any evil forces that try to cause problems
-While link knows you’re perfectly fine to take care of yourself, anything would probably be a fly to you anyway, but he still worries about you
-If someone were to catch wind of hyrule’s knew friendly giant they might take this as a guard that needs to be taken down before they were to destroy hyrule
-Will always advise you to be careful going home or when you are on the way to the kingdom
-Link has 100% taken one of his old training swords and turned it into a necklace as a gift (even dulled it down so it wouldn’t give you any nicks or papercuts
-You share food with him all the time and he often wants to share his towns food with you too but due to your size it would take a whole house worth to make it worth eating
-Zelda has totally came to you with a giant beast problem that was just your cat
-Link has defiantly ridden your cat like they were a war horse
-Movie nights on your phone with the fireflies are his most favorite times he’s had with you yet
(had to get this one out of my system, this thought has been eating away at my brain for days)

How about legend and four with a reader who is seen by others as a boy because of his haircut? Like they cut it when they were in guard training or whatever from their hyrule, and the boys see the girls trying to flirt, without knowing that it's not a man? Feel free, just a stupid idea
Four and legand x kinda masc F! Reader / gender-fluid
OMGGGGGG first of all I just wanna say thank you for this request I never thought that I would get a request from one of my fav story makers!! BTW LOV YOUR DARK LINK STUFF :D
(Reader is going to be mostly like shuri from black panther movies and a bit non cannon reactions from characters😔)
Btw sorry this took so long seasonal depression hit me like a truck over the past few weeks:
Tumblr media
~~~
Only just yesterday you finally decided it was time to cut your hair after a while of letting it grow all the way down to your waist. When you finally came out of the inn you and the chain were staying at for a while in gerudo town in wilds world you were almost unrecognizable at first. The only reason they actually knew it was you is because twi sniffed your sent from a mile way.
Wind: “wow I almost didn’t recognize them at first!” 😦
Time: “I don’t think any of us did wind.”
Four: “well he’s got a point- uh… and thei r gone.”
Legand: “great..”
You literally just dashed out of there going to the up draft before taking off the go find riju and hopefully train with her for a while. You eventually found her in north gerudo ruins training on dummies again and you both agreed to battle each other for a bit of training. Little did you know that four and legand were looking for you in gerudo town thinking you’ll be there..
(Yeah I’m doing a lot of time skips because I’m getting a mind grain😬)
—————————
After around 3-4 hours of training with ruji (Btw ruji was the only one that recognized you straight away) you both decided to head to the town hoping the see the chain their already and only after the first few minutes of you both walking into town you started getting stairs and people whispering..
“Did ruji let in an another voe already?”
“Most likely but he’s cute in my opinion.”
Once you heard the vais say that you started giving ruji a side eye like your telling her “let’s bounce” but before you could even take another step a group of vai walked up to you and started commenting how you looked or how strong you were (not like they knew)
While the crowd was just getting larger and ruji was just trying to get you away from there you saw four and legend, and legend looked like he was about to beat the shit out of someone but he somehow kept his composer dragging you out of there in a instant with four watching
“You vai know that’s a female right?”
Four yelled into the crowd making everyone but ruji stunned as they were both pulling you back to the chain
“Never again..”
They both said almost in sync while you just nodded
“Fine fine… bozos-“
“Hey!”
~~~~~
Ye so uh that’s the end I might make a part two after Christmas but ye-
Requests are still open and I’m posting my ais on here so wait up for that and pokepasta stufffffff
BTW STILL LOVE UR STORIES AND THANKS FOR THE REQUEST😁

Gloomy issues - Inside Hyrule Series pt. 5
Content: With new places to explore, there's new enemies waiting for you.
Author's note: kinda longer than expected, but I really like bickering today. Got inspired by a Tiktok I saw once, but can't find it and can't remember the username :( I'll give credit as soon as I find it.
Y/N. No shipping, simple draft.
Inside Hyrule series is a a series of oneshots, in no particular order about YOU in the world of Zelda! Just imagine... how it'd be to have adventures with your favourite hero and princess? How it'd be to travel alongside Link? Do not expect a cool, intricate plots, it's just something to help you (and me by writing and imagining it) to relax and have a nice moment.

"Look! How do I look?"
You turned around and saw Link trying on a familiar green cap. You laughed.
"Silly," you answered. You approached the chest where Link had found the cap as he bent down to take a small piece of paper lying on the bottom.
"It reads: 'According to legend, this cap was crafted for a hero who travels the wild lands'," he then removed the cap to observe it. "It's weird but wearing it just feels so right."
Yeah, 'cause you did in a past life in a different era, you thought to say, but remained quiet. Link this time, however, had more questions.
"So, you met other heros of legend, didn't you? Was this one real?" he inquired.
"He was," you nodded, crossing your arms non-chalantly. You remained silent for a moment because, being honest, the presence of that cap was confusing. It should't be there at all. That time was, literally, a different time, a different alternative for the future. Or that's what you thought. Maybe you were wrong. No worth mentioning anyways. You shrugged visibly. "He was the one I traveled with before you."
"Oh," he exclaimed, amazed, taking the cap off and observing it as it may hold some secrets. "How long ago was that?"
"I mean, it's now a legend, I can only imagine how long it was."
Link shook his head, astonished.
This conversation was going to dangerous places. Talking about the reality of things wasn't in any way your desire, but you also understood the curiosity. You used what was true inside his world: you were someone meant to help the wielder of the Sword that Seals the Darkness or hero of prophecy whenever he needed it, no matter the time, era or world. This Link was particularly interested in learning more, and he was aware that there had been multiple heros before him, but he didn't know it was him in different versions. He didn't need that knowledge. He also got inquisitive about your age once, a natural question since his perception was that you've been alive for thousand and thousands of years. You found an easy answer to that:
"I just age slower," you responded as you shrugged. "Way, way slower. But I'm about the same as you."
Surprisingly, that answer satisfied his curiosity, only for that moment at least.
"C'mon, I'm hungry, why don't we camp or something right here?" you asked, trying to change the subject.
"In this massive skeleton?" he asked, motioning towards at his feet. You were standing in the jaw of a massive creature.
"I meant on the ground, but yeah," you responded. "It can be a safe cover, don't you think?"
"Hope those Horriblins don't come back," he mentioned as he effortlessly jumped down and removed the new cap.
The place maybe wasn't the best to eat, but the food was delicious regardless: steamed tomatoes and some honey candy the Hateno children kindly gave you. However, despite the nice lunch, you both had to keep on the move. You hadn't found the zone's Lightroot yet, so the area was pitch black and dangerous. Your only source of light was some brightblooms you both had gathered and Link's Miner's Armor top and trouses he decided to bring. It was such a spectacle.
"I still think you look ridiculous with that," you teased him.
"You're just jealous you aren't brave enough to wear it," he answered sarcastically, gathering his stuff to keep on traveling.
"C'mon" you chuckled.
You and Link walked under the skeleton through it's lenght, maybe it had something interesting under it. The chains on Link's outfit didn't make as much noise as you thought at first, even in that extremely silent spot. As ridiculous as it looked, you had to admit that costume was quiet useful.
"Be careful with that gloom," Link's voice was low. In the Depths, it was for the best to not make as much noise as possible to not alert the creatures living there who could see you way before you could. So most of your trip had been in silence except for the small 'picnics' and resting spots, and that after making sure the surroundings had no undesired companions.
"Ugh," you expressed when the sole of your boot touched a bit of gloom, which was a disgusting, thick, mud-like substance all over the place. It's life-draining characteristic made it extremely dangerous, but a tiny bit wouldn't do harm at all.
The steep was large and difficult to walk on, but you both kept on walking carefully so as not to fall on the gloom and your spear helped you with its support. A squishy soft sound caught your attention behind you and you stopped to turn while Link kept on walking. Maybe a Horriblin had decided to sneak behind you through the gloom, after all they were immune to it. However, there was no one.
"Something wrong?" Link asked in a whisper.
"No, it's fine," you murmured back and continued walking. Not even two steps more when the sound was there again and you knew it wasn't just a coincidence.
When you turned, you saw the gloom was... moving? bubbling? fuming?
"Hey, Link," you patted his arm to caught his attention. "What's...?"
Before you finished your question, some weird-looking long tentacles appeared from the disgusting dark mass, towering you both. The gloom, you realized, was moving with them. Before Link or you could even react, the tentacles faced towards you and let out a phantasmagoric screech that penetrated your whole body and mind.
You saw with horror those weren't tentacles, but hands with eyes in their palms. Your scream was combined with their high piercing shriek.
"Run!" Link yelled as he took your hand and ran towards the path you were heading originally. The steep made it hard to run, however you both managed to be faster than the horrible creatures following you.
"Should't you fight those things!?" you yelled as you fought hard as you could to keep on with Link. His pull, however, was helpful.
"They're made of gloom! Do you want me to die!?" he answered.
"No, but what the hell are they!?"
"Shut it and run!"
Outrun them was proven a tiring effort, it took a good distance for them to suddenly dissolve and dissapear. Your left side hurt in a stabbing ache and you were out of breath. As soon as you were free, you threw a brightbbloom seed to the ground and fell, gasping for air.
"For the Goddess..." you said wearily. Link wasn't really affected by the race, he was still standing, patting his outfit. "I've never seen something like that."
"Me neither," he answered, distracted.
"I don't want to encounter them ever again, they were so scary," you continued. They were very similar to enemies you found before: Dead Hands, Wallmasters and Floor Masters. You always found them disgusting, creepy and horrible.
Link didn't answer you, he was still patting his clothes, this time looking more worried. You arched your eyebrows: "Is something wrong?"
"My cap," he answered, facing you with a troubled expression. "I may have forgotten it back at the skull."
You stared at him with an open jaw, astounished. You knew what he was implying.
"No," you shook your head. "Oh, no, no."
"Please! I won't leave it there! It's special!"
"You only had it for like ten minutes."
"Those were some special ten minutes!" When you didn't buldge, he kneeled besides you and took you by your shoulders impressively tightly. You mouthed 'ouch', but Link kept on talking: "C'mon! We don't have to fight whatever those things were, we can just slip past."
"Slip past how?" you questioned, frowning.
"We can climb the steep. They were on the bottom part, we just have to climb the rock to go around them. Didn't you realize they heard or felt us because we passed right by their gloom? Maybe we can avoid them by going on the upper side, quietly and all done. I get my cap and we're all happy."
"Me happy as in what? What do I earn going in there with you?"
"My happiness," he insisted with a funny tone. "You've said so yourself, you came here to help me and your help is what I need at this moment."
"To recover a dusty, old cap you yourself forgot," you raised your eyebrow, your tone remained ironic. "A cap that's completely useless."
"I won't lend it to you if you keep insulting it."
You let out a sigh and removed Link's hands from you. You knew you had no choice at all, after all, he was right and you came to that world to help him, despite the stupidity of the situation. Your own Purah Pad was heavy in your hip, how easy would be to just use it and leave that awful place! But once Link made his mind about something, he didn't retreat.
"Okay," you answered, resigned. "If I get killed, I won't forgive you."
You had to calm your breathing the walk back, soon you reached a part you both could climb, way faster than you wanted.
"I'll be right beside you," Link whispered, animating you. "As long as we're quiet, we'll be fine."
You only nodded and gulped. The rock was easy to climb and you moved sideways to advance, with Link at front, guiding the way. The brightblooms you threw in the lower path were still there, so that was comforting in some way to not be completely engulfed in the darkness. This time the weird hands wouldn't take you by surprise at least.
You saw the pond of gloom and noted that it wasn't moving at all, still and deceitful as before. Carefully, you and Link moved hands and feet to advance.
Beeeeeeeep!
Your heart sank to your stomach. Your Purah Pad was vibrating on your hip.
"Hi, Y/N!" Pura's lively voice was heard, you recognized it as a voicemail. "Bet you're busy right now since you're not answering my messages!"
Link stared at you in horror, he held himself with a single arm as he tried to reach for your Purah Pad. The creepy hands below let out a screech.
"Like this new feature? Thought it'd be a nice surprise. You can now hear my voice wherever you are!"
Link managed to take your Purah Pad, the screen glowed and illuminated his face, but it was too late. A hand took you by the ankle to pull you with unbelivable strenght and you gasped.
"Say hi to Linky for me!"
Link growled and let go of the Purah Pad, which fell loudly to the gloom-covered ground, to hold your wrist and try to pull you up. The hands were relentless and you felt another one pull your other leg.
"Bye-bye!"
An anormous hand took you by your upper body and pulled you away without much effort. Link exclaimed something behind you, but you didn't hear him. In your vision there was only gloom and yellow eyes as your energy was being drained away. You struggled and tried to fight back, but the hand holding you was too strong. You gasped for air, it's hold strangling.
An arrow passed by you and you saw Link standing with his bow ready. The hands snapped and let you go, dropping you like a sack.
"Y/N! Move!" Link exclaimed as he shot another arrow.
You dragged yourself as far as you could, your hands and knees getting scratched by the dirt. You lungs weren't working at all, no matter how much you tried to keep the air inside, they didn't process it. There were explosions behind you, Link was definitely using bombs. You took your hand to your chest as you hid behind one of the bones.
There was another detonation but your ears were already ringing.
"It's over!" you heard Link yell and his hurry steps approaching. "It's over! They're done," his voice went lower as he got close and kneeled in front of you. He put his hand on your forehead. "You're so pale."
Your eyes weren't on him, but looking in the pool of gloom that haven't gone away. It was still moving.
"Link," your voice sounded so hoarse, lacking air, as if you had been strangled. "No, look," you pointed exactly where some red smog was grouping together into a human-looking form. Your friend expression changed to anger when realizing it wasn't over.
"Why can't that shit let us be?"
"Take this," you motioned towards your spear. You didn't have to say it for him to understand: it was better to fight that new enemy from afar.
"And you this," he said as he lend you a small packet he had on his pouch. "Eat it, will make you feel better."
As he walked decisive, you opened the small cloth to see some crackers. But they didn't seem like normal crackers, these ones were glowing slightly in golden. Sundelion crackers. As you bit into one slowly, for you were nauseous, you wondered how Link got them.
Starting to feel revitalized, you turned to see how Link was doing. The monster had weapons of its own and was trying to charge to Link, but he was faster and moved just in time to strike mortal blows to the unprotected side of the enemy. Link this time was definitely fighting with all his might and the battle didn't take much longer. The monster fell to his knees as Link stared at it without any emotion on his face, then it tried to reach one more time to him with its creased, bony hand before succumbing and dissappearing. You let your head fall behind, leaning on the bones, in relief.
"Now it is gone," Link spoke as he approached. He wasn't even out of breath. Aside from your spear, he was carrying another weapon and two weird purple and red lumps that looked disgusting. "Look, it dropped this."
"I won't touch that," you pulled a face, feeling nauseus just by having those lumps in front of you. "They smell weird."
"Better take them to Purah and see what they are," he said as he put them inside his pouch. He let the weapons on the ground and helped you raise to your feet. "And maybe we should also talk to her about that new feature she did. How are you feeling?"
"Better," you answered, shaking the dust from your clothes. "It seems they drain energy when in contact, just like gloom," you explained. "Thanks for the crackers."
"You're welcome," he said, studying the new weapon he had taken again from the ground, he started to give some steps to the path where you came from but you stopped him.
"Hey, your cap's over there," you pointed with your spear towards the another direction.
"Oh, yeah! The cap!"
"Don't tell me you forgot."
"Well, I was concentrating in saving your life, so I didn't exactly forget."
"You were the one who made me risk it anyways!" you exclaimed. "And you forgot!"
"I didn't!"
"Oh, yes, you did, you were gonna leave just like that without it! I honestly should've let you."
"As a reward for going back with me, you can use it all the way back to the Research Lab. It's either that or hold the pouch with those lumps that fell from the gloom monster."
"Disgusting," you muttered.
"And... I actually think they're moving," he checked his pouch.
"Ewgh, no, I'm outta here," you said, walking a bit faster. Link chuckled behind you.
"I was just joking."
"Go to hell."
"With all the wandering spirits and life-draining monsters around here, technically we're there already," he chuckled again and you squinted your eyes towards him.

BOTW Link X F!Reader ~ Pt. 1
Tumblr media
Sounds of battle slowly ebbed to silence. Even then, you did not emerge from the hiding place a villager had stuffed you within, echoes of the attack warning bell still hauntingly ringing. Time was lost as you simply sat in the cramped cellar, passing solely with the counting of your own heartbeat, until a new sound, the clops of horseshoes against stone, approached. Someone was approaching.
Were they friend or foe?
Instinct that every living thing was born with was oddly quiet, leaving you numb, as they grew louder before coming to a stop. A huff sounded, closely followed by the thumps of boots hitting the ground, crunching of dried leaves and other small debris filling the air momentarily blocked any other sound for you. And yet you remained hidden as silence fell once more. The double doors above your head tinked, as if something had touched them from the outside, before the sound of a metal singing pierced the air. Most likely a sword, you mused, meaning most likely a bandit or scavenger was looking for valuables.
You were partially right.
The doors opened to reveal a mighty blade which shone brightly in the blood moon’s crimson glow as it was lowered. Its motion downwards to return to its sheath brought to your attention its wielder. Brilliant blue eyes were what caught your attention first; the way they calmly met your curious gaze then slowly filled with an emotion akin to acceptance as you remained unmoved despite the showcase of such a mighty weapon. Golden blonde hair was speckled with lingering traces of dried blood, most likely belonging to those who had fallen before the sword’s swing since he appeared unharmed. Despite the gear and armor, there was no mistaking that the figure before you was masculine. Those lean muscles faintly visible thanks to the rips in his sky blue tunic and pants and his stoic features made that much obvious. He was truly a magnificent sight as he slowly lowered himself to one knee so that you were closer.
Behind him loomed a large shadow before a soft muzzle met the top of your head. Soft nickering tickled your ear courtesy of the horse who nudged her nose against your cheek, as if to assure you that her rider meant no harm, and obediently backed away when he placed a hand against her shoulder. Her gentle eyes seemed to beckon you to follow, to trust in the swordsman, ears pointed toward your hiding place.
A voice, most likely that of a shopkeeper you’d come to know, rose within your mind that warned to not trust such figures. Nothing was known about this man, he’d given no explanation yet of who he was or what his purpose was here. Most would be weary and perhaps fight against him.
Yet you didn’t.
One of his gloved hands extended, palm facing upwards as if in offering to assist, and without hesitation your hand found it. Something near mythical happened when your fingers laced with his. All crimson of the blood moon’s glow ebbed until it had returned to its normal pale glow. Fireflies had risen from the grass, their own hiding places, until they were dancing upon a breeze which played with both of your hairs. A sensation of warmth spread through your being from where he touched, impulsing you to take a breath and unsteady step that was intended to bring you upwards to step outside, resulting in you stumbling forward.
He swiftly caught you with a tug to the hand still within his hold, allowing the other arm to wrap around your waist so at to keep you close as he steadied your imbalance. Your gazes still held despite the actions as he helped you to stand, wordlessly offering support when both your hands gripped his wide-set shoulders. Warmth radiated off his being the longer you two remained physically close. The night’s chill attempted to come between your figures however it failed when the blue eyed Hylian slightly pivoted so the breeze met his back instead of your face. Bubbling emotion rose within your veins when his eyes widened for the briefest of seconds before returning to a stern state when a sound made you nearly glance away.
Look at me, they seemed to convey, you don’t need to see.
A deep inhale brought to your senses the scents of iron, copper, burnt wood, and something that made your gut twist: death.
Within your mind arose a picture that made your being quake; buildings and wagons burning to ash, villagers and monsters alike slain laying in pools of their intermixed blood, innocent animals and people alike victims to the blood moon’s wave of power.
His arm tightened more until your front met his, the hand holding yours giving a squeeze. It’s alright, they said as calloused fingers eased your eyes to close, you are safe now. Soft whistle slipped between his lips, earning the horse to come close enough so that your shoulders met the mare’s side. He lifted you with ease, as if you weighed nothing more than a feather pillow, until you were seated within the saddle with both hands resting upon the horn. For several seconds there was silence until a familiar huff sounded just a second before weight and warmth settled behind you. On either side of you appeared his arms, one hand taking the reins while the other secured itself around your waist.
Nothing remained for you in this village.
So you did not stop him as he spurred the horse forward with a gentle kick.
….
The sun was approaching its high noon place as several Sheikah Tribe members greeted the horse and rider upon entering Kakariko Village, however their warm welcome became weary when spotting your slumbering form protectively tucked within his hold.
Camping had been out of the question since he’d caught sight of a Moblin while exiting your destroyed village, most likely it would gather reinforcements and come after the two of you. Not that he doubted his abilities in battle, it was how fragile you appeared when someone would pass along the trail. Obviously trauma of that night would plague you for a while, he was no stranger to such things, and had opted to travel without pause if it meant putting your mind at ease. That was how you fell asleep with your face nearly completely tucked against his neck, allowing your senses to become permeated with his natural musk interlace with herbs and leather. Epona had seemed happy to carry the both of you, not the slightest bit bothered by the combined weight, even ecstatic that she was carrying you. Rider and horse ensured none interrupted your slumber from insects to possible threats of monsters or Yiga in disguise. Even when entering the lively village they had both quickly silenced those who approached by means of ears tilting backwards or a finger against his lips.
Impa raised a questioning eyebrow when he refused to allow anyone to touch you, dismounting while still ensuring that your position remained unchanged, before walking towards the nearby inn. Weathered eyes closely watched as he placed you gingerly upon a bed, moving slower than a river snail so as not to jostle you, until his arms were freed, something shifting within Impa’s face when he quickly shed his traveler’s hood at your stir but settled once the cloth was tucked around your form. She waited until exiting the room before deciding to start conversation with the silent swordsman. “Take a bath then come find me. You’ll start at the beginning,” the chief sighed as pillows were procured so they could converse comfortably, “and then we shall decide what should be done.”
Once he returned once removing all the traces of battle, time passed accompanied by refreshments and snacks, candles and torches lit with sparks from flint pieces as night fell outside.
“I see, so you found her within the aftermath of the recent blood moon. The village she resided within was completely destroyed, meaning that she may have no family to take her in or anywhere else to go.” Impa inhaled deeply through her nose before exhaling slowly, a faint stream of smoke slipping between her wrinkled lips courtesy of the small pipe she held. “I understand.” Her sharp eyes locked upon the door where you’d been about to knock. “I trust you’re well rested now? That bath and a fresh set of clothes work wonders upon a person.”
You’d woken no more than an hour ago, finding yourself alone within a strange room but with his article of clothing tucked around your form as his arms had been calmed your panic. A familiar whiny sounded from somewhere in the distance, one that you recognized as the horse he rode, meaning the swordsman was nearby and hadn’t left you alone after all. The name of a shy girl who poked her head in to check in on you escaped your memory but she was kind nonetheless as she assisted in helping you bathe then dress in similar clothing to her own. That was how you found yourself standing on the opposite side of the door where an elder woman’s voice could be heard. Curiously, and cautiously, you slowly entered and instantly found the silent swordsman sitting across the village’s elder.
The sword he had been cleaning and caring for was returned to its sheath with a ringing note of metal, the same sound you’d heard back within what had once been your home, those blue eyes meeting yours the moment you’d entered. He made to stand but remained seated when you quickly moved to sit at his left, offering him the clothing that had been offered to keep you warm while sleeping, earning a slight bob of his head while accepting the dark hued hood. That brilliant gaze of his drifted across your being before they met Impa’s.
“It’s the least we could do for her.” An expression of sternness filled the older woman’s aged features. “I assume she will be left within our care?”
Panic pierced itself into your chest like an invisible blade. Stay here? Is that what they had been talking about while you slept? The hands resting within your lap clenched into fists. You hated being a burden, especially to those who had been so generous, so if it meant your paths had to separate then you’d willingly accept this choice. He’d already done so much for you. It wouldn’t be right to continue to cling—
A curt shake of his head cutoff the rest of your internal sentence.
Silence fell heavily as your gaze, which had fallen to rest upon the tatami-like floor, rose to find the Hylian’s face unreadable but an unrelenting glint within his azure gaze. Was he truly objecting to the elder’s wisdom filled words? Brief doubt took root within your chest, making it suddenly harder to breathe, when recalling how helpless you’d been during the attack. It was overshadowed by determination as you readily met his glance that was sent over a shoulder as if to check if you agreed. That was what you wanted more than anything, to travel alongside the man who had saved you from being alone.
Impa, modestly surprised by his action, narrowed her eyes. “Remember that traveling and battling with another adds with it more stress alongside resources. You have much to accomplish still. Having someone, no matter who they may be, might compromise—”
Blue eyes narrowed. She stays with me, they said, if you feel so strongly against my decision than try to take her by force.
This was certainly a shocking turn of events to Impa as she watched your expression of panic melt into one of gratitude. Within your gaze she saw willpower that spoke of determination; the shifting colors within your eyes spoke of how you made internal promises to learn combat and horseback riding, anything if it meant you would remain beside the silent swordsman whose gaze softened ever so slightly when they met yours. Her pipe tapped against the nearby tray, emptying the spent ash, as she huffed. “I can tell when my breath should be spared. Clearly the two of you have your minds made up and if I know the Champion like I do, then nothing is going to change that stubborn head of his.” A smile raised her aged lips when your head tilted and the Hylian stiffened slightly while shifting slightly so he was partially facing you. “Oh, so you didn’t know?” The elder woman’s glee increased when he attempted to divert your attention to the hood you’d returned, fixing it to your shoulders instead of his own. It was clear that he wanted you to discover for yourself just who he was so for now she decided to play his game. “Very well. I’ll have the supplies gathered and then the two of you can head out in the morning.” Her hands rose when receiving both yours and his pointed looks. “Tonight then.” It was then that she excused herself to oversee preparations for your departure, leaving the two of you alone.
Your fingertips rose to brush against the hood’s rim after he ensured it was properly secured courtesy of some small straps and a knot of strings near your collarbone. He was really giving it to you? The briefest of nods confirmed your unvoiced question, his hands lingering upon your form for a second too long for it to be considered innocent, calloused fingers carefully tucking a tress of your hair behind an ear before withdrawing to take up the scabbard which had been resting across his lap.
It was a beautiful weapon, seemingly made of flawless materials and radiating such strength that befitted the swordsman who wielded it. There was something special about it though that seemed different than most. As if it were alive in some way. That was when you extended a hand, asking permission that was granted with a nod, and placed your palm upon the highly polished metal.
So faint it was almost missed a sound filled the air that created sceneries of cloudless skies within both of your minds.
His blue gaze met your own when a shout that preparations were complete courtesy of an old woman elder. Anticipation rose within them the longer they remained locked with your own until you gave a small, assuring smile. Traveling with him was what you wished to do, so long as he would have you, but it would be hard to do so without proper introductions. The swordsman’s breath stalled slightly when your name, and voice, filled his ears. Both were so befitting of you that it left him stunned for a moment. How could such things worthy of ownership by a deity or higher being belong to the young woman who sat before him? Deep within his chest grew a seed that quietly slumbered but grew warm when surrounded by the internal repetitions of your name within his mind. The lids of his eyes closed for a brief moment, as if committing your name and voice to memory, before they rose once more to reveal gem rivaling blue that bore into your own. “Link.”
Calming dusk filled your mind as his voice, though spoken softly, permeated the air with such pure energy that it left near visible aqua and mint colored tendrils. They twisted and danced like the fabled fairies you’d heard tales told of while sitting around campfires with visiting travelers. Yet somehow, beyond the beauty of those translucent aura wisps, your mind was filled with the glittering innards of a precious emerald who bathed the two of you within its calming green hue. Despite the breathtaking sight of fragmented gemstones, your gaze always returned to the faint teal tendrils that danced on wind that neither of you could feel.
So that’s what the elder meant when calling him “Champion”. He was the Hylian who had been chosen to not only be Princess Zelda’s knight but one of the Five Champions of Hyrule selected to fight against the Calamity. Now you could see the heavy shadows of darkness and feel the pressure of expectations that lingered within the fading trails of blue that came close enough for you to touch. You’d heard of stories where nearly a century ago he and the princess had mysteriously disappeared when Calamity Ganon had taken over the castle.
One of your hands rose to gently brush your fingers along a wisp as it approached, ever so gently caressing it with your fingertips, making it seem to tremble while radiating with hesitation. You could feel him there, attempting to surface and fight against the near drowning pressures or expectations thrust upon him, and that was when your palm met his cheek. The skin here was soft, warm, a bit dry from being exposed to the sun’s harsh rays. That was on the outside though. Beneath it you could feel his want to—
“Didn’t you two hear me the first time?” Impa’s call broke the spell.
Both of you blinked as the visage vanished, revealing the room’s decorations and four walls once more. Azure was unable to look away from your gaze as, in unison, the two of you stood. It was as if you had been seeing his very soul just now. He hadn’t felt alarmed, or angry that you were capable of seeing beyond his outer exterior. If anything he looked relieved while offering you his hand once more as he had back in the village. Nearly every person he’d encountered across Hyrule expected him to speak as some fabled hero of legend, which he’d come to accept that he was so-to-speak, whose sole purpose was to serve and protect their princess.
Not you though.
He somehow knew you could see the ancient hero’s green interlaced with his much more blue tinted aura. However you seemed more fascinated and intrigued with the parts that were his alone. As if the person you solely focused upon wasn’t the phantom of a long passed hero but the man in front of you instead.
Your hand slid itself within his offered one, giving it a squeeze. “Teach me?”
If your words surprised him, he didn’t show it. Instead the warrior fixed a look of warning, I will not be an easy teacher and the training will be difficult. He was met by your determined nod followed by the straightening of your spine. Conviction shone brightly within your gaze as it readily met his own. The Master Sword was secured upon his back, it’s rightful place, as his being tilted towards the door. Let’s not dawdle then, his eyes seemed to smile when you quickly fell into step alongside him as he began walking, best not to keep Impa waiting any longer.

A Quiet Night
Pairing: Warriors x Reader (LU)
Word Count: 335
Warnings: none, just fluff 🩷
A/N: this is so self indulgent it isn’t even funny. I couldn't sleep at all last night and chose to write about having cuddles from Warriors instead of actually sleeping :| hope y’all enjoy this as much as I do!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First watch was always the most difficult for the Captain, but nothing he wasn’t used to. Sleep ever so slowly crept up on him as time went by, but he stayed vigilant, watching the woods as the others slept. Well, all but one. You laid on your bed roll, eyes wide open, gripping your pillow. Warriors gaze on the forest broke to look at your form. He noticed how you tossed from side to side, hoping sleep would take you. He noticed how you would shut your eyes, hoping to induce sleep until they would open again.
Warriors sighed. My watch is over anyways, he thought as he stood from his position, moving to wake up the Veteran for his watch before turning back to you. You were still awake, as he expected. Slowly, he moved his bed roll next to yours, leaving no gaps between the two. You carefully watched him as he took off his heavy armor before settling down. His hand came to cup your cheek, thumb caressing it.
“Can't sleep,” you mumble into your pillow, sighing at his touch. Your nerves were keeping you awake, heart pounding so loud it was all you could hear. Your feet were running up and down you leg in an attempt to self-soothe, but nothing was working. You closed your eyes again, trying to focus on the Captain’s steady breathing instead.
It didn’t work.
Opening your eyes again, you saw him with a small smile on his face before moving to open his arms, beckoning you into them. You complied. His arms wrapped around you as you were pulled closer to his chest. You noticed how warm he was. Attempting to sleep again, you focused on his breathing as well as his heartbeat.
Your own heart began slowing down, your feet stilling against his touch. You could hear the soft sounds of the forest again, peppered with the rustling of leaves. Warriors’ breathing got deeper, himself falling asleep.
You found yourself following him soon after.

Chapter 3 — Protection
Tumblr media
[chapter warnings: slight harassment, self doubt]
t.o.c ; << | >>
"This is for you."
"Should you really be giving a kid a knife?"
"Hush. It's for her protection. I trust that she'd only use it in emergencies, isn't that right, Kimi?"
"Yes! Only if bad guys come."
Link stood behind you with a look of horror on his face as Kimi held the dagger delicately in her palm, turning it every way to inspect it. You crouched in front of her, only able to take in your little sister's face for the last time in a while.
Every little move had Link jumping, ready to snatch the blade away from Kimi and tend to a wound, but he didn't know one thing.
Kimi had been handling weapons since before she could even walk. You remembered having to pull a scimitar away from her little toddler grasp before she tried to chew on it like a teething toy, the Yiga who was watching her having given it to her to stop her crying.
You had full trust that Kimi, now at 11 years old, was capable of safely handling the dagger you'd gifted her.
"Do you really have to go?"
Kimi's puppy-dog eyes shined with tears as her question brought you from your memories. You bit your lip, your heart aching at the thought of having to leave her with Ameil.
"Yeah, Ki. We've got stuff to do— finding Hiro too!" You forced a smile. "Stay safe for me, I'll be back as soon as I can."
"And you'll bring Hiro with you?"
"And I'll bring Hiro with me. I promise."
You wiped at your eyes, giving Kimi one last hug before she hid the knife in her waistband and turned around, heading home.
Ameil and Laslow didn't know she was with you and Link at the Inn, the events from last night making them ban her from seeing you again. However, Kimi— who's always been the sneaky sibling— slipped through her window early the next morning and made her way to you. Nobody could keep her away from her big sister.
You had told Kimi to keep her back turned when she went home, and you would do the same, to make parting ways easier. It was a shame they had to happen so fast.
You didn't realize you were staring at the now-empty space in front of you until you felt Link's gloved hand on the small of your back. You blinked up at him and forced a watery smile before turning around as well and heading towards the gate where Taz and Epona were waiting.
"It's about a day and a half journey to the Domain. If we get going now, we'll probably be able to stop at Dueling Peaks Stable for the night." Link talked about the plan to try and distract you further.
"Good idea." You mused, "I don't think I'm ready to give up beds yet."
Link laughed. "One of these days you'll have to. But the good thing is that once you get to sleep on a bed after sleeping on the ground for so long, it feels extra relaxing."
"I'm sure!" You started thinking back about Link's past— how he went from the Princess's appointed knight to some clueless, feral homeless man. "I bet you had the nicest bed ever in the castle."
"I don't remember it, but I bet I did too!" He sighed wistfully, but you could see his smile drop ever so slightly. "I wonder what it would have been like if I could have actually protected Hyrule. Like, if I didn't fail."
"It doesn't seem like you failed to me," You shrugged, "Hyrule isn't destroyed yet."
"Because of Zelda. After they put me away, she was the one who confronted Ganon. She's still in the castle, fighting him. She's been holding him off for 100 years, waiting for me." You could tell Link was getting frustrated, so you pulled Taz closer to him. You laid your hand on his, which was gripping Epona's reins tightly. Link immediately began to relax.
"Well, that's what we're doing now. We're helping her, and once all the beasts are free, we fight Ganon!"
"Correction. I fight Ganon. You're not going anywhere near the Divine Beasts or him."
You roll your eyes, "I bet I can do more than you think I can."
"I'm sure, but this is my burden. My old friends already died because of me, I'm not going to let you have the same fate."
"Fuck fate, we make our own destiny."
Link just shook his head, still grinning at you. "I wish it were that easy."
When traveling with Link, the hours seemed to pass like mere seconds. Unlike when you first met him, he became easier and easier to talk to and joke around with.
It was nice to have someone new around.
You wondered if being with only your siblings for so long, and then just the Gerudo women had stunted your social skills, but you supposed not. That, or Link was just as strange as you are. It would make sense, seeing as though he hadn't talked to anyone for 100 years.
However bad your social skills were, they surely were improving as you both talked nonstop. Before you knew it, you had passed the Cliffs of Qince and Ash Swamp once more, heading towards the stable. It wasn't much longer until you'd stop for the night, and you were grateful.
"So," You took a moment, worried that you might breach a touchy topic, but you were curious. "What will happen after you kill Ganon?"
"If I kill Ganon." Link corrected. "And I haven't thought about it, I guess. We'd have to rebuild. Make sure everyone is safe and the country can get back on its feet again. If Impa is right and Zelda is still alive in there, we'll at least have a Queen to guide Hyrule."
You nodded. You were curious about his plans. You knew the plan you were always taught— once Hyrule was wiped out completely, the Yiga hoped Ganon would return Sheikah technology to its rightful owners and give them solace amongst the chaos of the monsters. They would finally get their revenge against the Hylians. After all, the Yiga were only created for those who despised the Hylians for exiling the Sheikah race and shunned those who turned away their technological advances.
But seeing Link's side seemed almost sad to you. The Yiga were so filled with hatred and malice towards Hyrule— to the point that they sided with someone bound to betray them— and yet Link just wanted to help people. He wasn't doing this for himself or for a title, but for the good of everyone.
"When Zelda comes back, will you go back to being her knight?"
The question, and idea itself, left a weird taste in your mouth. You weren't sure you liked the idea of being separated from Link. Even in such a short time, you'd enjoyed your adventures by his side. Maybe you could be a knight, too.
"If she asks, then yes. I'm still the Hylian Champion, so I suppose she'll appoint new champions for the beasts too and we'll prepare in case anything new happens." Link shrugged, tugging on Epona's reigns to veer her to the left. "We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. I still need to do so much more before we get there." He pointed to the stable ahead, "Go check us in, I'm going to the shrine nearby. I ignored it last time I was here."
You nodded and pulled Taz away from Epona. They seemed to get along well, too, neighing and whinnying at each other while you and Link talked amongst yourselves.
You boarded him up and purchased two beds— soft, because Link made you paranoid about not getting another bed for a while— before grabbing some ingredients out of your satchel and throwing them in the pot. A prime meat and rice bowl sounded amazing right now.
You stirred all the ingredients into the pot and let it simmer for a while, sitting on one of the stools to let it cook. Link wasn't back.
Some time passes. You scoop the dinner into two bowls and place one on the stool beside you. You decided to wait a bit longer. Link still hadn't returned.
The sun slowly began to set. Your bowl was still full— your stomach was beginning to cramp from hunger and you had to eat soon. Link's dinner was cold. He was nowhere to be found.
"What's a pretty thing like you doing up so late?"
You opened your eyes, one brow lifted confusedly. You hadn't even noticed they were closed. "Just waiting on my friend. He's late."
"Well, it's very ungentleman-like to leave a lady waiting for so long. Say, I'll keep you company until then. The name's Eziel."
The owner of the voice pulled a stool beside you and you finally got a glimpse of him. He had short, dark hair and beady dark eyes, not super muscular but not super skinny either. Just an average guy, but there was something about him you just disliked.
Not your cup of tea, that's for sure.
"I'm okay, thanks though." Your words were short and pointed, trying to get across that Eziel was unwelcome.
"Ahhhh, c'mon Miss. I'm just trying to get to know you. What's your name?”
At this point, Eziel was nearly facing you entirely and he was leaned towards you, delicately reaching out a hand to try and touch your knee. You were ready to just knock his lights out, but you didn't want to cause issues and lose your beds.
"That is none of your business."
Link's voice appeared behind you and Eziel and you could have cried in relief. Eziel, however, didn't share the same sentiment and glared at Link.
"Says who?"
"Says me."
"And who are you? Her boyfriend?"
Eziel had stood up at this point, strutting over to Link with his chest puffed up in an attempt at intimidation. Link didn't speak, instead choosing to subtly rest his hand on the hilt of his sword. Eziel's eyes followed, and he laughed.
"Pathetic. I've got a sword too. What are you trying to do, battle over her?"
"If it means you'll leave her alone, then yes."
Link's hand was fully on the sword now, ready to pull it out at any moment. You stood up and rolled your eyes, getting annoyed at whatever this little spat was, before shoving Eziel out the way and standing in front of Link.
"Go away." You spoke slowly.
"No."
Right after he spoke, Eziel reached out to grab you. You blocked his arm and threw it to the side, countering with a punch that knocked him to the dirt. Eziel looked up at you with pure anger in his eyes.
"Leave us alone or else I'll do worse." You were tempted to spit on him for good measure, but didn't get the chance. Eziel rolled his eyes and stalked off, both his ego and cheekbone undoubtedly bruised.
You shook your shoulders to loosen up and turned back to Link with a grin on your face. His own face, however, showed the complete opposite.
Your smile fell. "What?"
"You could've gotten hurt."
"Nah," you brushed it off, "He was all talk. I knew I'd be able to take him. Now come on, I'll reheat your dinner-"
A hand grabbed your wrist. "You should've let me handle that. I'm supposed to protect you."
"Link. Did I not tell you when we first partnered up that I could protect myself?"
"You also said you'd stay out of trouble."
"Trouble is my middle name, I'm used to it. That's why I can handle it." You genuinely didn't understand why it was such a big deal, so you shrugged it off again and stoked the fire, putting Link's bowl back on it.
Link stayed quiet for a few minutes as you finished reheating his dinner, only speaking to thank you. You sat on the log beside him, watching the flames of the fire.
"I'm sorry for making it seem like I don't trust you to handle things." Link set the bowl down. "I just don't want anything to happen. I'm getting used to not being lonely anymore, I don't want that to happen again."
"I get it, really. I don't want anything to happen to you either. That's why I jumped in again at the end when that guy was trying to get physical. You've got a big mission to finish, you can't get laid out by some jerk at a stable."
Link laughed. "If you think he could take me out, I'm offended. I can't believe you think so lowly of me."
"I don't! It's a pride thing, too. It was my battle, so I wanted to finish it."
Link nodded in understanding. "Bed time?"
He stood up and held his hand out. You grabbed it and let him pull you up from the log, following Link into the Stable. You put your stuff down and got ready for bed, but couldn't help but glance out of the corner of your eye. Link stood in front of your bed with his back turned to you, arms crossed over the front.
"Is everything alright?" You asked, lowly enough for only him to hear.
"I just don't feel comfortable with both of us being off-guard with this guy still around."
You rolled your eyes, smiling slightly at Link's protectiveness. "It'll be okay, I promise. If it makes you feel any better, we can take turns staying up tonight. Deal?"
Link looked at you for a moment, then sighed. "Deal."

UPDATE my amazing moot rain made like an angsty continuation to this AND YOU SHOULD LIKE TOTALLY GO CHECK IT OUT!!
Tumblr media
Summer had hit Hyrule, hard.
Of course, the heat was not as bad as it was on Death Mountain, but it was damn near close. Fanning yourself was proving to do nothing, but you liked to think it helped just a little bit.
Link walked not too far ahead of you, seemingly unaffected by the heat. Despite keeping a steady pace you could see sweat beginning to drip down his neck. He was feeling the heat too.
“Link,” you called out, jogging a bit to catch up to him. “Why don’t we take a break for a bit? This heat is killing me.”
He paused, contemplating your words. Sensing his hesitation you leaned into him to look at the sheikah slate in his hands. “Look!” You pointed at the map. “There’s a river nearby! We can rest there for the rest of the day then head out at first light!”
You knew you won him over when he sighed. Giggling, you gently tugged him to follow you. “Come on! The river awaits us!”
Link can’t help but laugh at your excitement, allowing himself to be pulled along by you. The sound of running water is quickly heard as the two of you make your way past the trees, revealing the river.
You quickly dropped your backpack and Link did the same, squatting down to look for ingredients for tonight’s dinner. “Craving anything specific tonight?” He asked.
“Mm, not really. I’m fine with anything you cook! It always comes out amazing.” You replied, clumsily taking off your shoes before running off to the water.
Link is shocked for a moment but plays it off by laughing. He never got used to you complimenting his cooking, no matter how many times you told him. He’d gladly cook you any meal if you wished it.
Nearing the river you noticed the water was crystal clear enough to see a couple of tiny fish swimming by. You could also see various small stones littering the riverbed, painful for your feet but it was a small price to pay to cool off.
Cautiously dipping your toes in the water you nearly scream at the cold feeling. Although it was cold you gladly welcomed it. You take a few steps, slightly wincing at the feeling of sharp rocks digging into your feet. You were about ankle-deep when you heard Link clear his throat from behind you. Turning to look at him you see him standing a few feet away from you, quiver filled with arrows and a bow in hand. “I’m gonna go hunt, we don’t have much and I doubt you wanna eat mushroom skewers again.”
You made a disgusted face. “You’re right, as much as I love your cooking, if I have to eat one more mushroom I think I’ll vomit, no offense!”
Link merely laughs, shoulders shaking slightly as he does so. “None taken, I won’t be long.” He begins to walk away from your temporary camp.
“Stay safe!”
For a moment you think he’s too far to hear you, but to your surprise, he turns around and gives you a small wave. It’s a small gesture, but it’s enough to make you feel butterflies.
Once he’s out of sight you continue to walk into the river, bending down to roll up your pants so they wouldn’t get too wet. You’re about knee-deep when you stop, looking up to admire the scenery around you.
The branches from the trees extend about halfway across the river, if you walk any further you’d be in the sun. Despite the branches being long beams of sunlight manage to peak past the leaves and create patches of sunlight that reflect off the water. You look down, feeling the water rush past your legs. Beneath the surface, something catches your eye. Reaching down into the water you pull out a dark blue rock that shines once it catches the light.
Suddenly, an idea hits you.
Tumblr media
To say Link was surprised was an understatement.
He knew you were going to cool off in the river while he was out, but he didn’t expect to come back and see you fully drenched from head to toe while digging around in the river looking for something.
When you notice him you’re quick to stand, greeting him with a giant smile. “Oh, you’re here! Welcome back Link! Did you catch anything good?”
Link dropped his quiver and bow and walked towards you. “What happened?”
“I stepped on a big rock that wasn’t sturdy so I ended up slipping.” You shrug. “You should get in! I promise the water feels amazing!”
Before Link has the chance to respond you’re quick to splash him, a giant grin making its way onto your face when you see his pants had gotten soaked. He smirks before quickly kicking off his boots. “It’s on!”
He quickly ran into the river and chaos ensued. The two of you splashed around for a couple of minutes before you noticed the day was nearing its end. Knowing there was no way the two of you would be able to dry off properly in the dark, you both walked out of the river.
You get a fire started as Link rummages through his backpack for a towel. Once he finds it he walks over to you and crouches, placing the towel over your head and ruffling your hair. You can’t help but laugh at the action. “You don’t need to do that you know, I can do it myself.”
“I want to do it.”
His response is quick, which catches you off guard. You look down, feeling your cheeks and ears begin to heat up. If Link notices (he does) he doesn’t comment on it.
He leans down to catch your eyes, intentionally leaning in closer so you can’t escape his gaze. “You’re shaking, are you cold?”
It’s then that you notice a teasing smirk on his face. You punch his shoulder and he dramatically grabs it. “Ouch!” He pretends to cry out in pain.
“Stop teasing! Aren’t you supposed to be cooking?” You quickly try to change the subject.
“Yes yes, I’m on it. Are you ok with meat skewers?”
“Yeah, that’s fine.” You say and stretch your legs by the fire. You place the towel over your shoulders and wrap it around yourself. Link was right, you are cold.
As Link throws ingredients onto the fire you fish around in your pocket, momentarily panicking when you don’t feel it. When you find it you breathe out a sigh of relief.
“Hey, did you lose something today?” Link asks while placing the cooked food on a plate.
“Mm? No, why do you ask?”
“Earlier in the river, when I came back it looked like you were looking for something.”
“Oh! I was actually looking for something for you!”
Link raises an eyebrow. “Me?”
You nod your head enthusiastically. “Hold out your hand.” He looks at you confused for a second before doing what you asked. You pull out what is in your pocket and place it in his palm.
Link immediately feels the wet and rough texture of the item. When you pull away he sees a blue rock in his palm.
“Tada! I found a rock that’s the same shade as your eyes!”
Link’s eyes widen upon seeing the small stone. “This is what you were looking for while I was gone? The whole time?” He questioned.
You sheepishly rubbed the back of your neck, thinking he was mad at you for wasting your time looking for a rock. “Well, yeah, but if you don’t like it that’s fine I just thought—”
“No!” Link quickly cut off your rambling. He clears his throat and you swear you see a hint of blush on his cheeks. He holds the rock close to his heart and looks at you, eyes overflowing with an adoration you thought only existed in fairytales.
“I love it, thank you. I’ll cherish it forever.” His tone was serious, you knew he wasn’t lying.
You quickly look away in embarrassment and grab the bowl of food he placed down. “You’re welcome..” You mumble, eyes refusing to leave the bowl.
He only chuckles before the two of you eat in a comfortable silence.
Tumblr media
You wake up to the sounds of splashing.
Groaning, you slowly sit up while attempting to rub the sleep out of your eyes. “Ugh.. Link?..” You call out, expecting him to respond.
When he doesn’t you look around and see his sleeping bag is empty and the fire has long been put out. “Link?” You call out again, this time a little worried when you don’t immediately spot him.
The sound of a yelp followed by a giant splash is heard and you immediately head to the river, sword in hand. You half expected to see him fighting a bokoblin or some other sort of enemy, but when you spotted him he was nearly fully submerged in the river. The only thing peeking out was his head, and judging by the look on his face he had taken a nasty fall.
You immediately run into the river, not caring if your shoes or pants got wet. “Are you ok?” You ask, holding out a hand for him to take. He nods and accepts your hand, allowing you to pull him up. You couldn’t see before, but now you can see he was completely shirtless. You clear your throat and quickly pretend to inspect him for any injuries. “What happened?”
“I stepped on a rock and.. ended up slipping..” He sighed, keeping a hand on his lower back.
You hold back a giggle, but Link spots your (very obvious) smile and pouts. “It’s not funny..” He grumbles while you walk him out of the river and back to camp. “It’s kind of funny..” You snicker.
He rolls his eyes and playfully pushes you away while you laugh. “What were you even doing in the river? If you craved fish you could’ve woken me up and I would’ve gotten some for us.” You asked while handing him a towel.
Link accepts it and wraps it around his body. “I wanted to get you this.” He says, fishing something from out of his pocket and holding his hand out for you to take it.
Hesitantly, you accept what’s in his hand and gasp when you see a rock. The color was scarily accurate to your eye color, with patterns swirling beautifully all over the rock. You wonder how long it took for him to find it. “Link, you didn’t need to!—”
“I wanted to.” He says while turning away, pretending to look for something in his bag so you wouldn’t see the very obvious blush on his cheeks.
You smile, holding the rock close to your heart. You felt warm inside, almost like holding the rock close to you was causing the feeling, but you knew better. Link always made you feel this way by doing the simplest of things, but for some reason, this gift had a bigger impact.
Walking over to him, you lean on his back and wrap your arms around his neck. “Thank you, Link.”
He turns to look over his shoulder, seeing you smiling against his back. If it meant seeing that look on your face again he’d find you a million rocks just like the one he’d given you. Anything to see you smile like that again. Chuckling he fully turns around with a flint in hand, not even attempting to hide his blush now. “Don’t mention it, now, how about you catch us some of those fish?”
Tumblr media
Extra (because I had I cute thought last minute)
“Hey, you still have the rock I gave you?” Link asked, turning to look at you from over his shoulder.
“Of course I do! Why?”
He held out his hand and made a grabby hand motion, wordlessly asking you to hand it over. Confused, you pull out the rock from your pocket and hand it to him. He gently takes it from your hand and turns around so you don’t see what he’s about to do.
You try peaking over his shoulder. “Link, what’re you doing—”
“Don’t look, I’m almost done.”
Still confused, you take a step back and let him do whatever it is he’s doing. After a few seconds, he looks over his shoulder. “Close your eyes.”
You do as told and close your eyes, feeling him get closer to you. You feel something go over your head and your heart begins to beat faster at the thought of what it could be. “Alright, open them.” Link tells you.
Your hand immediately reaches to touch your chest and your previous thought is proven correct when you look down and see. The rock he had given you was now wrapped in thin rope, being held together at the top by a small knot and the rope continued upward around your neck. It had turned it into a necklace.
“Look, now we’re matching.” He grinned, showing you his own necklace.
Having no words, you could only stare at him in awe. He laughed at your reaction, tugging you forward so the two of you could continue your journey together.

“pleasant surprise”
content: nsft, link (totk) x reader, d/s dynamics, fem!reader, miss/ma’am, pegging, soft dom!reader, no desc. of readers body
word count: ~700
Tumblr media
You feel him nuzzle against your chest - check pressed across your tight fitting shirt.
“Warm…” he mumbles in a soft voice.
As you reach over to grab something from your desk, he suddenly seems a lot less calm, hands that were softly grabbing onto your hips suddenly digging into your skin.
“H-hah… ma’am…” he whimpers out as he throws his head back . “P-please…”
“No.” you say in a firm voice. “You’re not getting anything until I’m done with this essay.”
“Mmh-mmh…” he nods in agreement.
He’s been like that for 20 minutes now, you buried inside him whilst you work on an essay - and he gets nothing. No touching, no grinding, no asking for more.
His hands rest on your hips, occasionally grabbing your chair, but he doesn’t dare put them even near his dick. It’s throbbing, but all it’s getting is the occasional rub of the fabric of your shirt.
He has been begging for your touch for the entire day - but long classes at your uni, and you working on an important essay afterwards had made it difficult.
But you had come up with a solution to keep him entertained. Your strap. He’s sitting on your lap, whilst you sit on your chair at your desk, working on your essay. It’s a different one than the one you usually use, a few more ridges, but there’s no notable difference in size.
You had smiled mischievously at him as you helped prepare him to take it. “It’s different from what we usually use. I hope that it'll make you feel even better.”
So far, he hasn’t noticed any difference. Maybe you were wrong? But still, the pressure against that spot and how close he is to you, mixed with the burning humiliation of you being completely dressed, and him being nude - it’s enough to keep him excited.
You move again, and he whimpers. A “Please, ma’am…” escapes him before he can stop it.
You put your pencil down. “Mmh, I just need to write a few more words.” You gently wrap your arms around his waist and lean down to kiss his forehead. He’s once more made aware of your size difference - how much smaller he is in comparison to you.
“We’re going to try something new now, sweetheart, and if you don’t like it, please tell me immediately, okay? Then we’ll stop.” you say in a kind voice. His heartbeat quickens, both with excitement at what you’ve got planned for him, and with appreciation for how gentle you are with him.
“O-okay, ma’am.” he replies shyly.
Although he knew that he liked having a partner in the lead since he started dating, there always came some insecurities with it - it makes him vulnerable in a way he’s not used to. But you have always respected and cared for him, always made sure that everything was enjoyable for him…
You reach down to the strap and press a small button at the very base that he hasn’t noticed before. The toy inside of him starts vibrating.
He’s never felt something like this before.
Sure, you thrusting in and out of him felt good, but this is different.
He moans, loudly, and can’t find it in himself to stop.
“Ah - hah - w-what is? G… good…” is all Link manages to say. He squirms around and a fucked-out giggle escapes against his permission. “Th…tha… thank you… feel… good!”
You smile at him and gently kiss his forehead as you continue writing your essay.
“Sweetheart?” you ask in a kind voice.
“Y…yes…” he looks at you with a blissful expression as the strap whirs away inside of him.
“You can touch yourself, feel free to move all you want.” you instruct, “but… no cumming, okay?”
He pouts, but nods.
After a few minutes of the strap vibrating against him, he lazily starts humping his own hand. There’s no more structure to it, he’s too dumbed down to think properly. Link is still murmuring phrases, and occasionally drools on your shirt - as you write the last word, he starts frantically begging to cum.
“Ple-ase… miss… feels- can’t hold it-“
“H-hurts…”
You put your pen down and your hands join his on his dick, gentle, planned out strokes and teases.
“Shh… you’re doing so well… I’m so proud of you, my knight…”
“You have my permission, sweetheart.”
This seems to really do it for him. “T-thanks…” he drools on your shirt. With a loud moan, he feels himself get pushed over the edge.
“Th..ank you, thank you, thank you- I love you!”
“I love you too, Link.”

«(◡‿◡✿) sof characters resting their head on the stoic character's shoulder || Link ||
A/n: I need to write more for Link.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You enjoyed days like this, ones where you and Link could enjoy the day and relax. While he maybe stoic, would often speak little words you did know that he loved you.
Humming, you glanced up at the night sky, the stars seemed extra bright tonight. “It’s such a pretty night!”
Letting out a small grunt, Link placed his hand over yours squeezing it gently. You always liked it when Link smiled, he’s eyes always seemed brighter whenever he did.
Shifting your body to get comfortable you let your head rest on the man’s shoulder as a sigh escaped Links lips. Glancing over, he let his body finally relax, your eyes were closed as a smile was on your lips. You looked so beautiful, peaceful. He knew he owed a lot to you.
A lot t Zelda for giving him the courage to even approach you. He was never good at dealing with his emotions but with you he felt like he could do anything. Letting his own eyes slip close, Link wove his arms around your waist tugging you close as you snuggled into his side.
It was a perfect night.

BOTW!Link with an Extroverted Traveler Reader headcanons
You and Link just kinda cross paths while traversing through Hyrule
Obviously you start the conversation since you were the chatty one
He was a little surprised at how friendly you were with him
However, over time he gets used to your outgoing personality since you and him were traveling for a while
He also genuinely enjoys what you have to say
He's a good listener, so whatever you've said to him, he remembers
You are fully aware that he's the quiet one, but you don't care because he's good company
There are times where he might talk to you because he finds you comforting
When you finally go your separate ways, he gets kinda sad because he'll miss you
From time to time, he thinks about you
When he sees you again, you could tell he's happy because he smiles when he sees you
Idk I thought I'd do this cause I'm bored
