Today's polish is a STUNNING linear holo. This is a blue version of the polish Toe Beans, which I absolutely love, so I knew I would like this one too. On top of the light blue linear holo base is a blue shimmer and although it can be hard to see in the photos (you can see it most easily in the first photo), it adds a depth to the polish that a plain linear holo just doesn't have. Linear holos with a shimmer is one of my favorite finishes and I'm so glad I picked this one up. This is Happily Ever Aqua from Holo Taco.

This took me several hours and I'm hoping to get video of them in indirect sunlight tomorrow, but my Invaderz nails - Likiya as the thumb, Takahide as index, YamaSho middle, Shohei ring finger and Kenta pinky. I can explain what I did and what polishes, if anyone wants. (and why, as best I can, as well)

wishlist for horizon 3:

more interactivity with the focus ui (solving holo puzzles, ui menus, holo calls with companions, listening to music, viewing data points and found content through the focus etc.)

aloy has outgrown her lone wolf tendencies, i wanna see her asking for help and company in her travels. super unlikely, but i would kill to have a party option where you can explore and fight with the squad.

customizing overriden mounts. (paint, armor, decor, names)

some element of choice with upgrading gear and weapons. rather than just having it be a linear set of upgrades, being able to choose between several unique mechanics or benefits. (i know the coils and skill tree basically function like this, so it would probably be more about functionality)

improving the ui for potions/traps/utilities. with everything they added in hfw and the dlc, there's no way in hell you can easily tap through 40+ utilities to find the right one in the heat of battle. it's so clunky compared to the rest of the system

removing tattoos from armor. like come on now, no way aloy's getting tattoos without it being a major choice. it's tacky and weird to use culturally significant tattoos as changeable decoration.

a main trans character who's entire dialogue and story isn't "everyone told me i was weird for wearing different armor or wanting to fight. so i became a cop." cannot get over how the tenakth, quen, and banuk have no real gender roles/limitations in their cultures, and yet...

Currently trying to decide if I wanna paint my nails for a wedding I have to attend in a few days. I used a peely base on my Halloween nails specifically so I could quick switch if I needed to. Idk if I ever want to, but if I decide to, idk what to do. I was thinking, keep it simple with a black & white Creme combo. Maybe add a gold metallic flake topper to the white nails. But idk. I also thought maybe a white & black linear holo combo, but I worry the intensity of the black holo would clash with the subtle linear holo of the white one. Maybe all white linear holo. Idk. Too many choices. Too many options. 😵‍💫

Today's polish is so pretty I can hardly stand it. 🤩 At first I thought it was gonna be a. Dupe for Lemon. They do have a very similar golden yellow shimmer. But unlike Lemon, this polish has a silver linear holo base that lights up like crushed diamonds in the sun. My video doesn't even come close to capturing how sparkly this is. I could not stop wiggling my fingers when I was outside. I've never had a linear holo from this maker and clearly I need to get my hands on more. This is Here's to Another Nine from Great Lakes Lacquer.

As promised!

Here's Nightmares Do Not Belong in the Waking World by Glam Polish, from their Dream of the Endless collection! This is a smokey, buildable indigo with purple to blue multichrome shift and linear holo. If you have very short nails you can get away with two coats, but I find multichromes fiddly and went with three. Nexus multichromes are so sensitive, I went without a base coat here (the only way I can use any chrome finish without getting a ton of bubbles) and I used Baroness X's Liquid Crystal to coat.

also for anyone who likes that aqua i posted: mint mojito is like a more saturated version of it! (MM on the left, happily ever aqua on the right)

these photos make it look like the “holo flame” in mint mojito is more obvious, and maybe it is, but it’s not really that subtle in-person with aqua either lol. if you’re unfamiliar with linear holo polishes though, i should warn you that the “flame” will be way more visible in direct light than other situations 😅

@ziskeyt the green is nowhere NEAR that dark in person, it’s not photographing well at night for some reason sfdfd, but: it’s a limited edition (currently sold out, should be restocked at least once more but no dates for that) called emerald city; my pic of the bottle earlier + a pic from the website:

if you want in-stock super dark green with a slightly lighter green shimmer there’s ivy league from holo taco or access denied from mooncat (and probably a bunch of indie brands would have good dupes lol); ilnp’s riddle me this is closer color-wise to emerald city but with a shimmer rather than the flaky glitter. also, OPI has a wicked collab right now that has a few different green shimmers though i don’t think any are very dark like this lol

IN MY ERAS ERA ~

It was rare, I WAS THERE. I went to the biggest tour in music history, yes! I attended night 2 (in the pit) and night 4 (tribunes) in Paris. Honestly, there is no word to even describe the experience it was. I'm a concert girlie and there is nothing that can even come close to The Eras Tour. It's not just the concert itself but the whole experience : the friendship bracelets trading (warning : can be quite difficult for introverts!), the outfits... I can say it was, hands down, the best concert I've ever attended. The icing on the cake was literally Paramore being the opener! My inner teen was so happy, even more when they sung Decode on night 4.

So for the nail art, I decided to do the album artworks for 5 Taylor Swift's albums. I like when my 2 hands are symmetric so I did the 5 same albums on my 2 hands. I really tried to reproduce the typo used for each artwork. I think I did quite a good job. I especially like the rep one. At first, I wanted to do a friendship bracelets nail art but I miserably failed so... lol.

For the concert, I did the Reputation and Lover eras for my outfit but if I have to do a top 3 of my favorite albums I would say : 1989, Reputation and Folklore. The order is just chronological because honestly I would be unable to really rank them lol.

I went to ulta last saturday and bought some holo taco polishes. I got a long lasting base cost and a glossy taco along with pop rocker (a bubblegum pink linear holo) I was tempted to get not milky white, but I would’ve wanted one coat black. Unfortunately they sold out of it, bummed me out, but hey atleast I got some good basic polishes. I’ve been in need of a good base coat and top coat so it worked in my favor a bit.

I’ve been dying to try the brand for years, having them in my hands was definitely the highlight of my crappy week. I immediately put it on my nails and they look absolutely amazing. I’m definitely gonna shop on their website and I’m excited for what they’ll have in the future, especially around halloween!

Here’s a picture with the shade pop rocker on my nails. Usually they’re longer, but I haven’t been taking great care of them since I’ve not had a base and top coat of my own. So to have my own shit is relieving. Needless to say I’m gonna get not milky white and one coat black once I get paid! I have my eyes on a couple other things too, so I gotta evenly spread out how much I spend this time around!
