i want to get more into saw/saw blogs b4 X comes out - what r some of ur fave saw blogs
Hi! You caught me at a good time (one where I have energy) so let's see if I can pump this out. I am in no way an authority on the entire Saw fandom so I will only be talking about my little corner of the internet. Please forgive me, my beloved followers, mutuals, and other owners of posts I have loved in this very small fandom-because I may forget some of you. The brain fog sometimes gets the best of me and if I did a full complete list, it would be.... It would be so long. This is in no way in order of best or worst, and sometimes I just have no words for why I love a person's blog.
@turnipoddity - Oh, what an artist! Every single post I see, love it. So excited to see an artist acquiring the Saw brainrot.
@bloodcoveredgf - Luna! Also just all around funny & good posts in addition to the Saw insanities.
@dracofelin - Jay has such good writing, and will make you love the ship of Mark Hoffman/Peter Strahm (coffinshipping).
@thefoulbeast - Simply put, Will's art makes me want to bite my own arm off. If you're interested in the video game Pathologic, his blog is worth a follow for that too.
@bathroomtrapped - I sometimes get the honor of previewing Larry's art mid-construction (because with all those colors and layers, it looks like building a house) and even half finished, it blows my socks off <3
@sawtrapz - Kaz, oh Kaz (!!!), Kaz gets my brain clicking about some of the rarepairs of this fandom and I will always spin your boygirl Adam in my head.
@cl0wnb0yyy - Will is just a great person in the fandom, also if you like Midnight Mass or NBC's Hannibal.
@ispyspookymansion - Kora looms large in the Saw fandom in my mind so it would be impossible to assemble this list without him.
@3razyswfangirl / @kiramillet - Kira's pixel art is amazing!!! Bunny <3
@tibby - Take a look through Tibby's saw meta. You won't be disappointed.
@allegedly-writer - Contrary to Jack's url, Jack can sure damn write! He just posted a fic and guess who it's for <3
@hansy-pansy-art - OUGH another amazing amazing artist. Also currently in a Red Dead Redemption moment, which I love.
@piddgeon - Speaking of RDR.... Mercury! Ah, just. (Chef's kiss) of a human being.
@samwis - Jami, who hears all my most insane horny thoughts who is such a mainstay in my corner of Saw fandom.
@romanromulus - Adam writes fics that will make you scream and cry into your pillow at midnight.
@tapeworrmart - Just. Ough. Art that I dream of one day hanging on my wall.
@vanilladella - a.m.'s art is my discord header. Enough said.
@carouselcometh - Remy is hilarious and also you need to read his series on Ao3.
@onehandkilling / @fatmasc - Shlomo... What do I say? Just go. Follow. Also threw in their fat fashion blog because YES!!!
@angel-trapped - Téa, you absolute legend. Origin of angelshipping (to me) (aka Lindsey Perez/Allison Kerry)
@sawtrapx - Liv, such a fun human being!!!
@starlightsailfish - Star's Saw Warrior Cats makes me dance in excitement.
@iinsawdious - Adrien is the best champion of the Adam & David (Saw 0.5) & Specs (Character from the Insidious franchise, also played by Leigh Whannell) are family hc. I love his enthusiasm!!
@adrianicsea - Adrian! Just. AH!!! Adrian's Sleeping with Ghosts series was perhaps my first introduction (outside of Adam romanromulus) to the sheer brilliance of Saw fandom writers.
@dodddraws - Dodd's art is.... I'm just at a loss for words, scrolling back through his blog. So much nsfw goodness.
@sawvhs - Rar's art is so so so iconic.
Okay I have to cut this list off here, jfc. There's others I should probably put on here but I'm getting tired and sweaty and my hands are hurting. Follow these people, check who they're reblogging from or who is reblogging them, go forth, prosper anon. Welcome to the Saw brainrot.

October 2nd - Friend
They're so iconic, I miss them so much- the only functional duo in the whole series
[Image ID: A traditional drawing of Agents Lindsey Perez and Peter Strahm from the Saw franchise. They're shown from the thighs up, giving each other a fist-bump. Strahm is a man with dark hair and sharp features, wearing a button-up and black tie. Perez is a shorter woman with curly hair pulled back in a ponytail, wearing a suit jacket, button-up, and vest. Both of their bodies are turned away from each other, more facing the "camera". Strahm has his head turned to look at Perez, while she turns her eyes to him. Both give each other satisfied smiles. The drawing is black and white, shaded with red pen and decorated with red and bright yellow graphics, including geometric shapes and a heart by each of them. End image ID.]

listen no offense but when i first saw ur sawposting tag i Did think u were on something. however i gave into curiosity 2day and went through the saw tag on tumblr and now im intrigued. i watched saw one and i was like Ok so these guys are definitely gay but obv it doesnt end well so im just questioning whether its worth it to keep watching. are any of the other saw movies as gay as the first one? if u are so inclined i would love a ranking of saw movies based on gayness. thank u love u <3
yeah me getting really into saw is reason for concern so i don't blame you <3 however welcome to this silly little hell. a jigsaw trap of our own making, if you will.
anyway i've briefly touched on the gay elements of other saw movies here but obviously none of it is like, canon, so i guess it depends on how good you are at making psychosexual mountains out of weird guys and girls molehills. or whatever. i personally think they're worth it to keep watching if only for amanda (lesbian murder queen of my heart) but they do get more gory/more ridiculous plot wise so i guess it depends what you're willing to stomach for subtext that isn't even subtext like it's just not really there but it's fun to see it if you squint.
this ranking is probably subject to change based on whichever one i rewatch next but here is MY personal ranking of the saw films based on gayness on this blessed easter sunday 2022:
saw: the original. nothing will ever top the bloody forehead touch as far as i am concerned. cary elwes and leigh whannell unknowingly changed the landscape of Queer Horror with that one.
saw iii: amanda and lynn....ohhhhh these bitches are gay. i fucking love women. sexiest movie mayhaps. unfortunately loses points for the boring ass B plot featuring a man who has never eaten pussy in his life but it is what it is.
spiral: why did chris rock and max minghella fall in love right in front of my eyes. insane movie.
saw v: JUST beats out saw ii. hoffman and strahm's weird little relationship is very...."homoerotic tom and jerry" as milo described it and the final trap sure is Something. however what pushes it into fourth place by a slight margin is the way heterosexuality is queered. if you see it you'll know.
saw ii: amanda with her dykey little haircut caring for a teenage gay boy with daddy issues? they just don't make movies like this anymore.
saw vi: not particularly gay but amanda content...and more to the amanda/lynn of it all. love fucking lost.
saw vii: lawrence gordon you will ALWAYS be famous
saw iv: the start of hoffman and strahm's weird little thing and also the introduction of lesbian icon lindsey perez but has nothing else going for it.
jigsaw: there's a jigsaw fangirl in it who's definitely gay but otherwise this movie is so boring and the main characters are so straight and also deeply unlikeable. i don't even remember what happens in it tbh.

Lindsey Graham breaks with most Republican colleagues by supporting Biden judicial nominees
With Democrats controlling the Senate, it comes as no surprise that President Biden has successfully nominated dozens of federal judges, but nearly all of those picks enjoyed the support of a high-profile Republican: Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.
Graham, who until January was the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, voted in favor of all but three of Biden’s picks who have gone before the full Senate for votes. In two of those cases he did not vote at all, and he voted no in just one.
LINDSEY GRAHAM WARNS OF POSSIBLE NUCLEAR ARMS RACE WITH CHINA IF HYPERSONIC LAUNCH IS TRUE: REPORT
In a political environment that has become highly polarized – particularly when it comes to presidential nominations – Graham’s approach to judicial nominations harkens back to earlier times when judges were approved based on qualifications instead of ideologies.
“When the president wins the White House, they have the right to pick the judges of their choosing,” a member of Graham’s office told Fox News, stating that the senator “believes the constitutional and historical standards are what should be used for judges.”

The Republican Graham voted to confirm both Supreme Court Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, even though “he did not agree with them,” they added. “Only in the most unusual circumstances should you vote against a nominee.”
Graham spoke about this at the opening of the confirmation hearing for Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett – the last high court selection made by former President Donald Trump.
LINDSEY GRAHAM: BORDER PATROL ARE ABANDONED BY BIDEN ADMINISTRATION
Graham recalled how Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, whose death resulted in the vacancy filled by Barrett, was confirmed by a vote of 96-3. Despite already having a reputation as a liberal “icon,” Graham recalled that “just about every Republican voted for her. Similarly, he noted that the late conservative Justice Antonin Scalia received even more votes.
The Senate ultimately confirmed Barrett with a vote of 52-48.
“I don’t know what happened between then and now,” Graham said at Barrett’s hearing, admitting that “we can all take some blame.”
“But I just want to remind everybody,” he continued, “that there was a time in this country where someone like Ruth Bader Ginsburg was seen by almost everybody as qualified for the position of being on the Supreme Court, understanding that she would have a different philosophy than many of the Republicans who voted for her.”
Of Biden’s judicial nominees, the one closest to garnering universal support was Judge Zahid Quraishi of the District of New Jersey, who was confirmed on June 10 with a vote of 81-16. That same month, District of Colorado Judge Regina Rodriguez received 72 votes, and District of New Jersey Judge Julien Xavier Neals got 66.

Similarly, District of Virginia Judge Patricia Tolliver Giles and D.C. District Court Judge Florence Pan received 68 votes, and Federal Circuit Judge Tiffany Cunningham received 63 votes.

Graham is not the only Republican to support nearly every judicial selection. Sens. Susan Collins of Maine and Alaska’s Lisa Murkowski have also voted in favor of almost everyone.
The only Biden judicial pick not to get any Republican support was Myrna Perez, who was nominated to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Perez was barely confirmed, as she only received 48 votes for and 43 against, with seven Republicans and two Democrats not voting.

Mustang Girl Monday: Hannah Gillin and her Cherry Bomb Mustang
It’s your favorite day of the week again, Mustang Girl Monday, brought to you by Team Mustang Girls. This week we would like to introduce Hannah Gillin and her 2016 “Cherry Bomb” Mustang.
Hannah’s love affair began at an early age. She reminisces, “I saw my first Mustang when my dad took me to my first car show. It was a 1966 hardtop. I saw the running horse on the front and ran right to it. I saw the overall car and have loved Mustangs ever since. I vowed that day that I would get a Mustang in the future.”
Years later, she made good on her promise. “I am 18 years old and proud to say I’m a gearhead. I remember the day I went looking for a Mustang. I looked at many beautiful Mustangs but this Race Red beauty with black fade stripes caught my eye. I knew it was the one and named him “Cherry Bomb.” My dad got me the Mustang back in August of 2016 not too long before I went back to school to start my senior year in high school. It was my early graduation gift. I still remember driving it to school on the first day and how people loved it. I even won the yearbook superlative for ‘Best Car’.”
Hannah has made a few changes since owning Cherry Bomb, “I got the satin black rims for Christmas in 2016 and got the louvers in April this year,” creating her own version of the American icon, the Mustang. Hannah tells us, “Being behind the wheel of one just makes me happy!”
Be sure to look for Hannah and her red and black beauty in the show at the Carlisle Ford Nationals in June. Each week Team Mustang Girls features a different female Mustang owner. Submit your story at http://teammustanggirls.com/submit-your-mustang-story/.

The Ultimate Design Guide to Palm Springs, CA
Elvis honeymooned here. Sinatra sang. And architects created some of the world’s most iconic mid-century modern homes. Palm Springs has long been a red-hot destination for the design savvy. So in honor of the annual Modernism Week, we’re sharing our favorite spots in this desert oasis, from must-see tours of designer digs to groovy gems from decades past.
Eat:
Workshop Kitchen + Bar – Chef Michael Beckman’s Workshop Kitchen + Bar proves that you don’t have to choose between beauty AND brains. With his classic American fare and drop-dead stunning interiors, this restaurant is the first stop on our desert itinerary. Pop into the James Beard Award-winning restaurant for a bountiful Sunday Brunch, or socialize with Palm Spring’s hippest inhabitants over dinner and drinks.
via Soma
Birba – There’s nothing quite like dining under the desert stars at Palm Spring hot-spot, Birba. This indoor-outdoor dining experience works equally well for romantic dinner as it does for girls night out thanks to family style Italian dishes.
SO.PA – Located in the stylish L Horizon Hotel, SO.PA is an upscale al-fresco restaurant complete with firepits, water fountains, and Lindsey Edelman light fixtures.
via L Horizon Palm Springs
Sleep:
Arrive – Palm Springs has been long awaiting the arrival of Arrive. Created by a former Facebook employee with designer Chris Pardo, it’s reinventing modernism for the modern age with tech-friendly amenities and areas made for socializing (hello 20-foot jacuzzi).
via Modernism Weekly; The Local Wanderer
The Ace Hotel – We all know that The Ace Hotel is the epitome of cool, but did you know that this Palm Springs oasis once used to be an old, neglected Westward Ho? Well, now you do! Conveniently located just a short bike ride away from downtown, it’s a hipster dreamland of macrame installations and vintage vinyl. And their pool scene is the best in the city.
Sparrows Lodge – This restored lodge is filled with extensive Hollywood history — it was originally built to be a red barn for the famous actor, Don Castle and his wife Zetta back in 1952. Today, hotel guests can stay in one of the 20 renovated suites, which feature exposed beam ceilings, wood planked walls, industrial floors and butterfly chairs.
via Jetsetter
Shop:
A La MOD – This decor store is any vintage furniture collector’s dream come true. Here, you’ll find an assortment of iconic midcentury modern pieces and statement-making art.
Hedge – Located on the outskirts of town in a strip of industrial buildings called the Perez Art and Design Center, shoppers make the trek out to Hedge for a curated collection of eclectic furniture, art and decor.
Flow Modern – Don’t expect to score a couple cheap vintage finds at Flow Modern. This is the place to go for gorgeous investment pieces by the likes of Milo Baughman, Mastercraft, and Karl Springer to name just a few!
via Flow Modern
See:
The Christopher Kennedy Compound – According to The Hollywood Reporter, this show house is the #1 Must-See Event of Modernism Week! But if that doesn’t make you want to check it out, maybe the fact that each room is designed by the nation’s most prominent tastemakers will.
via The Christopher Kennedy Compound
Palm Springs Art Museum Architecture And Design Center – Originally designed by E. Stewart Williams in 1961 to house the Santa Fe Federal Savings and Loan offices, we’d have to say that the building’s new tenants are a bit more interesting. The Architecture and Design wing of the museum opened in 2011 and is home to various midcentury exhibitions, educational and community programs.
Sunnylands Historic House Tour –  Countless world leaders have spent time on this sprawling, 200-acre desert estate discussing international policy and making peace agreements. Nestled between the mountains, the recently-built 17,000-square-foot building and garden provides plenty of room for private meetings and offers public tours.
