Knitting up another Lindal Cardigan sample. Trying this one in Making Tracks LITE from Junction Fiber Mill. Using US6 and had to go up three sizes to get the right width. Running about 1.5” shorter than Length A and I’m loving it!

The Lindal Sweater patterns are now available on Ravelry as either the Lindal Cardigan or Lindal Pullover. You also have the option of The Lindal Sweater eBook which includes instruction for both the cardigan and pullover, or The Lindal Collection: Vol II eBook, which includes both sweaters along with a fun sampling of my other patterns.
JFM’s KAL runs from now through to Rhinebeck! Kit Bundles can be purchased on their website. I look forward to seeing your projects. Happy knitting!

My Lindal Cardigan is finally complete!! details + advice below the cut
Time taken: Jul '24 to Jan '25
Size made: 1A
Yarn: Nightshades (mc) + Dreamstate (wild horses colorway, cc)
This is not a pattern for fresh knitters. It's an incredibly rewarding challenge that had me scratching my head as the magic unfurled on my needles!!! If you want to knit this, a few thoughts:
- print the pattern out! You do a lot of flipping back and forth and being able to physically do that helps keep your place - and use a pencil to mark off your sections. You'll repeat some of them
- make a Huge gauge swatch!!! It's very hard to double check if this will fit while knitting it so do the extra work to save yourself some strife
- personally I don't recommend reading the entire pattern at the beginning. Its an overwhelming 32 pages; just start where it tells you to and enjoy the choose your own adventure quality to the knit
- every time you think the pattern is wrong, you're wrong. Go look at wöldten's patterns. She knows this stitch better than you.
- pick markers that make sense to you! I went rainbow order with A and B being entirely different designs.

Knitting list
Something to organize my thoughts where others can see it 😌✨
Current projects
- karla sweater: needs one more button band and sleeve
- black cardigan: needs all ribbing + sleeves (need to finish karla as it's using the ribbing needle size)
- gwen cowl: like seven more rows fam
- lindal cardigan: second sleeve + front
- colorwork blanket: might redo on smaller needles?? bc i messed up the center pick up and the drape I think could be a little tighter
- coffee shawl: chugging along (need small cable needle)
- spot cardigan: needs us9 from black cardigan
- turkey tail cowl
- triangle shawl
- quilt blanket
- stockinette shirt: maybe hold double instead of striped
- fir rib scarf
- koko wrap: test larger needles
- nb sweater
- serena shawl: maybe frog :(( i dont like how the pink is knitting up
- gem cowl: the deepest of my wips so it should be frogged, but god it looks so good i want it as an item

wow, that's very interesting! usually when i've seen sideways construction it's a very boxy T-tunic kind of shape. this is lovely!
