Dance Yourself Clean & Louis Metric - 23 To Infinity (Lincoln Jesser Remix)
A trifecta of Southern California producers, Indio-native Lincoln Jesser meets Dance Yourself Clean and Louis Metric on track "23 to Infinity". Reinvigorating the future R&B collaboration from the yesteryear, Lincoln Jesser's reworking cuts through the heavy reverb of the frosty original and revisits with a boosted tempo. Accelerating through a steady injection of smattering hi-hats and the tubular pulse of its housey bass, the track is jubilant in commemorating the celebratory love which details the track's original lyrics.

TERROR JR - CROWDED ROOMS 🍇
Fizzy grape soda is the best. Its sugary taste brings sweet pleasure to the mouth. But if there’s one class of pop that’s incomparably better than grape soda, its grape bops from Terror Jr’s Lisa Vitale and David Singer-Vine. Their music flits into the ears, spreads throughout the body, and bursts like fireworks with jolts of future pop effervescence. The heart nearly ruptures from bolts of sweet zingy rapture, so often whip-smart soaked in racy provocative or darkly suggestive innuendo. The duo whipped us into a giddy frenzy last week when they made their return with the hot peppery nectar of their collaboration with AObeats, ‘9 2 5′, and an announcement that they’d left their label and gone fully independent. Today, Terror Jr gives us the next chapter of their autonomous new adventure in Crowded Rooms, an aerated pop rumination that escalates from its tip-toe beats and brittle shards into lush guitar swells and rich harmonies. It even closes out in gentle contemplation with beautifully florid keys after Lisa Vitale sleekly entrances us with her candy-glazed, mink-like voice. Terror Jr reunites with seasoned producer Lincoln Jesser on Crowded Rooms to give us a welcome combination that was previously adored on Terror Jr’s Caramel.
The intriguing vignette that accompanies the new single gives us a fascinating glimpse into the underbelly of the song. Lisa exits a house, punching the air with a sharp knife as volatile pink hearts flash and fade through an open doorway. She walks across a lawn and into an empty room while singing about a crowded room. Crowded Rooms seems to be a song of duality. Loneliness when you’re not alone, disconnection when you’re in a crowd, the apathy that can accompany solitude. Perfect lip gloss tainted by gravel, shiny sequins drawing attention in the pitch black of night. A longing for connection, countered with a fear of visibility and vulnerability. We go to parties and we go home in someone else’s shoes, leaving a little piece of ourselves behind. There’s nothing more attuned to this rather familiar inner turmoil than Terror Jr’s immaculately polished, electro-torqued pop, with its honey-dribbled fabric ever so shrewdly embroidered with spiky edges and barbed nuance. With 9 2 5 and now Crowded Rooms flowing and burbling through our “grapeful” earholes, we can’t help but be more enthused than ever for Terror Jr’s next EP, Come Outside And Break Your Heart. Listen to Terror Jr on Spotify, here. Crowded Rooms is streaming as a single, here.

Lincoln Jesser - Float
The latest track from the Coachella Valley native, electro-pop producer and vocalist Lincoln Jesser shares “Float”. Like its title suggests, the single takes a liberating air, one that is illustrated through Jesser’s lyricism as Lincoln casts any attachment to negativity “out the window”. On the track the vibrant chimes of his deep house synesthesia adjoin mellowing bass lines. Relaying Jesser’s soft vocal calm are the muted tones of his hushed delivery, a beckoning call reverberating through the song’s dreamy existence.
You can check out Jesser’s previous tracks alongside the frosty beam of “Deja Vu” with its gleaming dance pop production and its oozing basslines:

Lincoln Jesser - Peloton
A tongue-in-cheek metaphor to the exercise bicycle that talks back, Lincoln Jesser shares dreamy, pop introspective “Peloton”. Oozes over the jolting palpitation of its percussive kick, the Coachella Valley native navigates the track’s dreamy layers of synthesizer percolation. Underlined by the vocalized harmonies and the gnarl of its acidic synths, “Peloton” is bombarded with a lushness of sound; a substantial feat that’s held in place by the anacrusis of his hook-heavy refrain.
An allusion that is wrapped in the contradictory notion of “self-motivation”, “Peloton” is a metaphor for our increasingly interconnected world. You can check out Peloton alongside Dance Yourself Clean and Coquí’s “All Night” whom Jesser recently lent his remixing skills to and revisit previous single “For You”, a sweeping guitar ballad featuring the R&B doux of ChrisLee.
