hello friends i am back. i am going quite slow but i have made a 3d model and rough storyboard for the animatic (orphan town) !! :D

I find it easier to make the background + everyone's placement in it consistent! Plus it's not too hard compared to actual 3D modeling software.

Originally I was going to do a poll abt the style i should do the animatic (like even varying the line weight / messiness of the lineeart) but I then decided to do it by just varying the bg / effects.

this is all the illusion of choice though bc lowkey during the process of working on this i think i decided I like 3 (but with grainy gradients) best + maybe i'll do the photobashing on impact shots in fight scenes(?). however if there is strong consensus that they prefer something else i will take this into account due to my weakness to peer pressure.

let me know your thoughts! hopefully this post isn't too long

some test scribbles of step 2 tam & qiu as i try to figure how i wanna draw them. i see step 2 qiu drawn with the longer half-up hairstyle most often in fanart than the bob 🤔 i get it tho bc it makes them look very cool, but i think (and it might just be bc of how i draw them) bob qiu kinda looks like young howl pendragon 🫣. but i’m still kinda torn o+< for tam i’m kinda leaning towards her longer braid + glasses but also like her old bob too.
