Not the best meeting

Another fic for @princeanxious for their @limitsofeternityau ________ In Roman's defense, he didn't know. Patton talked about how much he loved cats, so of course, when trying to get the attention and affection of the man you are courting, you remember these things. Roman managed to find the time to take Patton on a date, and didnt tell Patton where. It was going to be perfect! The weather was lovely, Roman had his favorite outfit from this century drycleaned, and he had the best boy to take with him. ________ "a cat cafe?!" Patton gasped as Roman lead him inside. Cats.where.everywhere. black cats, white cats, Siamese cats, hairless cats, cats missing a leg, or ear, or eye, cats with prosthesis, fat cats, thin cats, short cats, long cats, tails of all lengths. Patton was in love. And wheezing. Patton could not resist! He was petting every cat, letting them crawling him. His eyes watered and his nose was runny and he was turning a bit red from being unable To breath right. Roman was very confused and concerned, but it was an employee who made him realize his mistake. "Call an ambulance, allergic reaction!" ______ Roman sat in the waiting room. Patton would be fine, but the doctors were giving him a checkup at the moment. That was when Virgil stormed in. When the hospital door swung to show a tiny, angry purple boy, Roman was, needless to say, confused. It as even more confused when angry small boy yelled, "WHO THE FUCK LET PATTON INTO A CAT CAFE?!" Roman stood."that would...be me. Who are you, might I ask?" Small angry boy ran over and grabbed Roman by the shirt. "I'm the best friend and emergency contact! And let me tell you this asshole, I dont care who you are, because you hurt Patton. In case you didnt get the memo, he is allergic to cats, now you better explain or I will make sure Patton never even looks your way agian." Tiny angry boy was now tiny rage boy, who Roman was not having fun being around. "Listen here, evil step sister, I was trying to take Patton out on a fun date, I didnt know he was allergic, he never told me, so dont go around blaming me when I didnt know he would get hurt from this! It was not on purpose." And he removed virgil's hands from his shirt collar. Before Virgil could spit another insult, a bubbly voice interrupted. "Virgil! what are you doing here." Patton pranced over. Roman snickered."your name is Virgil?" Virgil sent him a glare."shut up or your name will be on a grave stone." and proceeded to hug Patton protectively. Patton hugged back. "Oh Virgil this is great! You get to meet Roman!" Virgil looked at Patton, then Roman."wait...this..is the Roman?" Patton nods excitedly."yep! And Roman, sorry I forgot to tell you about my cat allergy, but that was so sweet of you to do for me! I hope you and Virgil get along, we can all be friends!" Tiny edge boy and fancy vampire boy glsnced at each other. "yeah...friends." ______ I know its short (ans possibly out of character, this is mostly based on how they actes in early sander sides videos) ans I hope everyone liked it! Roman would do this, it is romanctic! But pstton is allergic to cats sadly, so it wasnt as planned. He plans to try a dog park next time.

Yeaaah, Roman tries to be hip, but with minimal results... (and they find that Virgil is just a little faster in reaction time after the change. Possibly due to his enhanced fight or flight instincts) Roman mostly gets scolded by Patton, and Roman has to re-win Virgil back over and endure getting hissed at a little more till he is forgiven. (He is eventually forgiven, though)

Hey if you don't have too many request, would you be willing to draw a viegil in a skirt and cat ears? Maybe a crop top? (I jsit think he would look cute) With Logan's reaction?,(vampire au?)

Logan is just as conflicted as Virgil is, but he will concede that Virgil is as cute as a kitten, and just as cuddly as one too. (And hissy) and I mean, his new fangs just seal the deal! (Virgil feels a little more confident in the arms of his boyfriend anyhow, so a few laughs at this out of character outfit for Virge is thankfully permitted to Lolo)

In this au, that belongs to @princeanxious, Roman and Logan are vampires, while Patton and Virgil are humans. The ships are Roman/Patton and Logan/virgil. Although it is unknown at the moment how roman and Patton met, I would like to say this was before they were dating, but after they met. Now, shall we begin?

Patton was sliding leg-warmers on as,Virgil sat across from him in the living room Patton owned.

"Are you going to the gym?" Virgil asked as he eyed the out of fashion fabric Patton had no hesitation putting on.

"Yep!" Was the happy reply.

A smirk graved virgil's face. "Are you actually going to work out, or stare at him?"

"Yep!" Patton admitted as he also slid on matching workout armbands, and a head band.

Virgil smiled at the sight before him. Patton was stuck hard for the boy. A 'charming' fellow. Honestly, Virgil had no idea what this guy looked like, but Patton was happy, and if this guy kept him that way, well...who was he to complain?

Patton skipped to the door. "Ill see you in a few hours!" As he closed the door behind him, Virgil called.

"Ask his number!"

Roman,fixed his hair in the gaint wall mirror. He looked at his outfit and hummed."I should have worn the tighter shorts..." He commented to himself. He saw the door open in the mirror, and in walked the most adorable human he had ever seen. His thick glasses gave him away, well, that and the rainbow leg warmers and...everything else really. Either Prince cutie was gay or really into rainbows. Roman was hoping both.

Roman quickly began to lift some of the 15 pound weights he had gotten out for a warm up, and made sure to flex as much as possible. He kept an eye on the glasses boy in the mirror as much as he could.

He held back a laugh as he once agian went to the jump rope, and proceeded to act like a child with it.

Patton had seen the charming prince when he walked in, but he was busy lifted what looked like heavy weights, so he decided not to bother him. He loved to jump rope, and it was an exercise he actually enjoyed doing. He has jumped forwards, backwards, crisscross, everything he could think of.

He loved watching the cute charming boy, but when he heard the laugh he let out? about what he was laughing at, he wasnt sure, bur the sound was heavenly.

And Patton tripped on the jump rope.

Roman had seen Patton fall, the Jump rope around his feet.He stood, careful to put the weights back quickly, and walked over. He extended a hand to the floored cutie.

"Hello there fair prince, may I offer you some assistant?" He gave him a closed mouth smile, the most dashing one he could. The glasses cutie blushed the most lovely shade of pink, and,let out a giggle. A giggle of all things! Adorable.

"I would like that." Glasses took roman's hand, who helped untangle the rope from his feet.

Roman smiled once agian. He was able to talk to glasses! Speaking of which, he should get his name.

"Kind prince so fair." Roman took one of patton's hands." I happen to be in need of a spotter, if you happen to be free.,may I ask for you to assist me, Roman?"

Patton giggled agian. "Well i dont know much about spotting, but if it is spotting a cute guy, I think i found one. I'm Patton."

Roman was,nearly floored. This angel had the most amazing name, Patton! And above all, he called Roman cute. But he had to keep his focus! When winning the love of another, you must stay vigilant!

"Pattond what a lovely name. Although I happen to have also spotted a cute boy, I was hoping you wouls help me on a different kind of spotting."

Patton was nervous and excited all at once. Roman was such a sweetheart! He only hoped that he could get a date.

Patton had never spotted before. Ever. But Roman seemed confident a she put some weights on the bar. Patton didnt bother to check as he stood at the middle of the bar.

"Now, my hands go here," Roman stated as he laid on the bench, putting his hands on the bar." and yours will go right next to mine- ni the other way- yes. Right there. You just make sure I dont hurt myself and watch me ok?"

Patton held onto the bar ans gave a nod."alright, I'm ready."

Patton couldnt help it. The small talk with Roman was great, he loved it! But he couldnt resist. He had too.

As Roman was pushing the weights up, Patton said it.

"Well you really have LIFTed my expectations."

Roman stopped, arms strsight in the arm, staring st Patton, then he started laughing. He barely got the bar back on the pegs as he sat up and smiled at Patton.

"Patton, that was hilarious. Cute and funny? You are prefect." He smiled.

Patton returned the smile. "If you think im perfect, you should try my rainbow cupcake surprise. The surprise is melted chocolate on the inside."

Roman gave a nod."I might have too sometime."

Patton wiggled a bit as he nods."is...Thursday at 7 good? I dont open until 8."

Roman gave the dashing smile agian."i would love that."

It was only once Roman got home that he realized it was a date.

And done! So ir snot perfect, but I tried. I couldnt remember what roman's vampire power was, so..I ignored it. I did what I could with a gym because I honestly dont know what people in the gym do. I also don't remember if vampires can eat normal food in this au or not, so...pretending that they can, but if proven wrong, that will be fine.

Although I do not know how Roman and Patton meet, I based this off the ides that for some reason, they dont know esch others names. Hope you enjoyed @princeanxious @limitsofeternityau

Hey look its my vampire au!

Do any of them get jealous easily?

Well! That depends on what they’re getting jealous of! (I got a little carried away with scenarios so excuse me, i go into depth with more than just ‘easily’ jealous scenarios)

If you mean in the relationship department, then the one who gets the most jealous is Logan, not that he’s that bad about it; the boy hasn’t really had a relationship before(ever), let alone a stable one, so he’s still got much to learn about expressing and understanding his feelings. He doesn’t act on impulse, but the first time he explains his sudden distaste for their local bartender, a lady(Stepping in for Remy that day) that was passing flirty comments directly at Virgil during the most recent group hangout they’d had, It takes a second for Virgil to actually make sense of everything, and voice a clarification of “wait, are you feeling jealous??” And it surprising Logan just enough to pause, going over the definition instead of denying it, turning to Virgil hopelessly confused. “Is that what this feeling is?” And Virgil just cackling softly and bringing his poor boyfriend into a comforting hug and reassurances. So, Logan learns that Virgil isn’t opposed to Lo acting on smaller instincts in public when others are giving Virgil unwanted flirtatious attention, using hugs, small passing pecks or kisses, and hand holding to ward them off. Persisting humans are a slightly more common problem than vampires, bc as soon as Logan does any one of these things other Vampires get the signal that ‘this human is taken.’ so usually he resorts to baring his teeth to only the most irritating of clueless humans.I’m rambling now arent I? As for Roman and Patton, Pats probably a tad jealous of how long Roman has lived, but adores the stories Roman tells and the pictures he paints from his very clear mind that more than makes up for it. Romans probably a tad jealous of Patton’s innocence, a innocence unlike average, an innocence shielded by time from deaths and plagues and wars and mass oppression, an innocence unscarred by living through these histories that instead looks with sunshine on everything he can, even on bad days. He more than understands Virgils drive to protect Patton from the world’s meanest realities, however impossible that feat may be, and strives to protect Patton in the coming decades, aiding him in adjusting to the change of time, something neither Roman nor Logan had when first turned. Though he may feel that jealousy, Roman choses to turn it into love, something to admire, and cherish instead, because he loves Patton with all of his being.On rare occasion, Logan may be jealous of the others limited hearing, no matter how much he can control it, there are some instances that focusing far too hard to not listen to something only makes it more clear. (Virgil, when he finds out, offers to help distract Logan from these thoughts in hopes of helping Logan’s conscious avoid focusing on the unpleasant sounds, when it does occur.)Virgil doesn’t feel jealousy as strongly as he does fear, due to his lifelong anxiety disorder and past issues, feeling jealousy is dangerous and bad in his eyes, but he can’t help but wish he was just a little more mentally stable like the others, in terms of not being spooked by loud sounds and voices and not dreading every waking conversation with someone that isn’t Patton, Logan, Roman or Remy.Logan may have a minor jealousy towards everyone’s ability to talk commonly with ease, using contemporary slang and casual talk without worrying about whether things are what they mean without implying something underlying on accident. These are like the main things i can think of but really none of them are serious hindrances to any of their relationships, more like stuff they’re going to be working on together for a long time.

So I saw the thing about Roman speaking grandly, and you said that Logan was turned around the same era, so would Logan also speak similarly or would he always use a modern era voice?

Ahhh okay so, this is kind of more of a preference for the vampires to choose in their au world. For Roman it is easier for him to use his grand way of speaking than to keep up with a Modern Era voice, however he still completely understands modern slang terms, and because he is not afraid of drawing attention to himself it doesn’t bother him. People seem to love it(especially Patton!) just as long as he doesn’t loudly over do it.Logan is different in these aspects because he went through the years as a shut-in scholar and not a socialite actor, therefore when he did decide to open up to the world (coaxed heavily into it after Roman found Logan utterly depressed that the Internet kind of made the importance his original job obsolete), he was very naive and insecure about fitting into society. Roman’s grand way of speaking comes from his life long professions, so it shouldn’t surprise you to find out that Logan’s previous Scholar status profession left him more comfortable with his Era’s quieter formal and poetic-esc way of speaking. He doesn’t like to stand out, and so he spent quite a bit of time learning and practicing and working with Patton on his speech. He’s still working on the casual parts of the modern language, but for the most part, Logan only uses the formal version with strangers because it is direct and he knows he cannot mess too much up by being polite. He only opens up around Roman, Patton, and later Virgil to practice a more casual speech, and will probably spend a few more years like that until he feels secure in it to use outside of their family group. Lets just say, as a little bonus, Virgil offering to help Logan’s learning process by making him flashcards for modern slang literally earned him one of his first hugs from a vulnerable Logan. He is so insecure about messing things up, and Virgil offering to help him instead of make fun literally meant the world to him. Virgil would later become the first person to get Logan to open up and speak the way he used to after many, MANY years of absolutely refusing to due to his insecurity, and was more than happy to praise Logan for his bravery and trust. His older speech is something he doesn’t use often, but it actually isn’t unpleasant to listen to at all. Lets just say Virgil doesn’t keep it from Logan to explain just how nice Logan’s pitch softens and bends elegantly around older words, and how cool and soothing it sounds and everything. Logan is still highly insecure about it, but, less so now that he has Virgil, and isn’t as afraid to slip into it to whisper something into Virgil’s ear when no one else is listening.(I hope this answered your question! Vrigil calls logan grandpa atleast once.

Before Virgil and Logan are together, but after Virgil finds out the Logan is a vampire, Logan never hears the end of these nicknames.Grandpa, old timer, coot, Mr. Librarian, Sir Necktie, ect.

(And after they begin to date, on very rare and snarky instances where Virgil is feeling particularly playful and startling with his nicknames, he’ll whisper that ‘Logan is a FILF’ openly despite not even being near Logan, and watch as Logan is the only one who can hear him (because of his hyper hearing)and thus sorts through his very many vocab cards(that Virgil has made for him), finds the specific card, and then turns beat red and just glares at Virgil because how is he supposed to respond to that?? With other people in the room no less?? Lets just say Virgil is asking for what comes to him every time he pulls a stunt like that, and regrets nothing.)limitsofeternityau

I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT TO ADD THAT IN ITS LIKE THE MOST IMPORTANT PART THAT DRIVES THE STORY.

(To be fair tho, I wrote all of this during class, and my class was being loud, and for some reason I can't have a bunch of verbal sensory input and try to write at the same time bc it jumbles stuff up and makes me loose track every couple of seconds and makes it's hard to read what I've already written to reorient myself, so yeah, its not fun.) Forgive meee.

“Limits of Eternity”

So, I have no self control, so I’ve been thinking about a vampire au fic after seeing the recent vampire au additions of a certain post explaining blood-loss and my creativity just kept running with it. So, here we are.

It involves Vampire Logan and Roman, and Human Virgil and Patton.

(Edit; I cant believe I forgot the most important bit of info) Logan hides the fact that he is a Vampire from Virgil as to not scare him away as a new friend.

Logan and Virgil are ’just’ flatmates(at the beginning of the fic at least, romance forms over time), Patton and Roman are already romantic partners.

Roman and Patton run a Bakery together, Logan helps maintain the local library book collection, Virgil is working towards being a tattoo artist (doing the illustrations, not the actual tattooing) and a Graphic Illustrator on the side. Roman and Logan take one day every month to attend to their hunger needs via social center(this is explained under the cut) and though Patton knows

It’d probably focus on Analogical and the world around Vampires.

The additions from this post basically make it possible for Vampires to drink blood without killing people, ect.

So, what if the world was oriented around that, humans volenteer to meet vampires and usually have a ‘mutual exchange’ or whatever, haven’t put too much thought into it yet. But Vampires are just, accepted into society and have been for like, ever. There are rules that Vampires follow for societal reasons, such as, you need explicit consent to drink a humans blood, failure to follow this leads to concequences. Sure, Some humans might want to discriminate, but Vampires don’t force humans to give blood, and Vampires are a bit too scary/dangerous for most people to want to disrespect. There are usually just Hotspots(probably around the centers/bars/safe haven area where Humans and Vampires make aforementioned exchanges) in bigger cities for Vampires to be found, rather than being alongside all of the general population. More ideas for this world: Vampires aren’t all inherently powerful, but instead the qualities that folklore/nonfiction claim Vampires have, i.e. super hearing, nocturnal sight, super strength, super speed, sensitive to light(not burn, just disoriented) ect. Are actually instead just spread out amongst vampires, like some vampires may have strength(see:Roman) while others can hyper hearing(see: Logan) but it is extremely rare for Vampires to have more than one attribute. The only thing Vampires have in common are their occasional need for blood. Vampires are also legally allowed to keep it to themselves of their vampire status.

Some Vampires might have easily cooled (kinda like getting cold from bad circulation) skin, but its more or less just a generalization. Vampires can be warm and huggable. Human-Vampire relationships are accepted, however Human-Vampire relationships are (social accepability) required to have both parties aware that the Human is dating a Vampire, the vampire is not really recommended to hide such info and to do so is looked down upon, but not illegal. It doesn’t happen often though. Vampires hold normal jobs?? Also, Vampires have an online/app network to contact other Vampires in the immediate area they live in to report Riots, any criminal disruptions, and reporting Rogue Vampires who have disrespected The Rules. (See: Rogue Vampires get hunted down and punished for their disruption of the balance.) This network system is both to keep Vampires up to date with everything and to keep the Human population safe. Vampires are very protective over Humans that they like, and it would not be ideal for the rest of Humanity to distrust Vampires for not taking care of the few rulebreakers. “Turning” people is pretty much illegal without going through a year of paperwork and 5 years of living with said Vampire, and is generally looked down upon by both sides. There are special exceptions, but I’ve been rambling on long enough about the world I’ve just begun building today.)

So um, I do want to write this, it’ll probably be a side fic to work on while I work on “The Lost Guardian” but if people want to hear more about this I’ll probably end up writing it?? The name for it might end up being “Limits of Eternity” soo #limitsofeternityAU ??

virgil brings home a cat and cuddles it a lot. he found it on the street and is looking for a hoem for it. Logan can't help but be jealous because virgil has the kitten with him everywhere, and he cuddles it and pets it, and even baby talks it cutely because the kitten is so cute. Virgil decides to keep it.

This might’ve gone on for a short time, but Virgil definately couldn’t keep it, due to how often he sees Patton and how allergic Patton is to cats. That and Virgil has quite a bit of trouble taking care of himself to begin with, so adding a cat into the mix would not have been ideal from the start. However, for a brief afternoon, Virgil did end up cuddling the kitty a lot. And Logan finds out what Jealousy feels like for the first time, even though he and Virgil are not yet together. By the end of the night though, they’ve found it a new and loving home with their neighbor, and Logan is reluctantly happy to see it go, after seeing just how much it made Virgil happy.Limitsofeternityau

Virgil will help out at the bakery if he has time. Roman has him be the villian (of course) but for some reason kids like him a lot

Virgil and Patton are Best Friends, who have supported each other since middle school. There is no way in hell the Virge DOESN’T help at Pat and Ro’s bakery. Honestly, he helps as often as he can every week, probably as a part-time job even, but he doesn’t come in every day. Somedays he plays the villain while Roman plays the hero, and Patton and the other employees man the actual bakery. Some days Patton and Roman will preform dramatic love stories for the kids and Virgil will take Up the empty spot, other times Roman will aid in manning the bakery as Patton and Virgil tell adventure stories. The kids love all three of them! (Though, It does get a bit awkward when regulars start asking when the villain will be shown truelove too!)Limitsofeternityau
