We're on the verge of sailing past 99% Hitler and being urged to vote for limf(Hitler).
We have already survived one Trump administration so we can calibrate expectations. A second would be bad, and likely considerably worse in a number of ways!
But Trump's not gotten any more canny, competent, or brave in the past four years. In fact he's shed most of the people who can actually accomplish anything in the past few years. Implementing grand plans is hard when your main skill set is being a school yard bully and running against unpopular Democrats who dogmatically refuse to embrace good policy.
Don't get me wrong, I think January 6 was the deathblow to American Democracy but Trump lacked the balls to try to become dictator for life. Now, instead of a decapitating strike and a crisis big enough to get people in Pussy Hats to realize the gravity of the situation at the very least, Bourgeoisie American Democracy will die of gangrene. But the next four years will probably be just as bad for many people as the past four years. Voting for Biden is at best a forlorn hope that number won't expand as fast.
The fact that you get shunned for voting third party should tell you everything about the unwillingness of the average lib and their refusal to dismantle the system.

The Rhythm of Sri Lankan Music Heard in Liverpool City Centre
Liverpool, a vibrant city on England's northwest coast, has a rich and influential musical history that has left an indelible mark on the world. Renowned for its maritime heritage and dynamic cultural scene, Liverpool's music landscape boasts a diverse range of genres and groundbreaking talent.
On Saturday, May 18th, Liverpool's Britannia Adelphi Hotel hosted the city's most successful concert of the year, "The Invitation." Organized to raise funds for the Liverpool Buddhist Temple, the event provided an engaging evening for Liverpool's Sri Lankan community. The concert featured stunning performances by Falan Andrea, Annesley Malewana, and Gayan Gunawardana, with music by Britain's most popular Sri Lankan band, Exceed.
Despite some attempts to disrupt the show, the strong bond between the organizing committee, the three artists, and the band ensured that the event went ahead as planned. Their efforts brought the concert to life, creating unforgettable memories and marking it as a successful event in Liverpool's vibrant cultural calendar.
Liverpool's musical revival is not limited to its past with The Beatles and the Merseybeat movement. The life of the city is intertwined with a bustling live music scene. Venues such as the Echo Arena, O2 Academy, and Philharmonic Hall host a wide range of concerts, from contemporary pop and rock to classical and orchestral. Grassroots venues such as Zanzibar Club and The Jacaranda provide platforms for emerging artists, ensuring the continued evolution of Liverpool's musical identity.
The Beatles, formed in 1960, are perhaps the most notable contribution to music from Liverpool. The legendary quartet—John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr—rose to global fame with their innovative sound and timeless hits. Places like The Cavern Club, where the Beatles honed their craft, remain pilgrimage sites for fans around the world. The band's success not only put Liverpool on the map but also inspired countless musicians and bands around the world.
The early 1960s saw the rise of the Merseybeat movement, named after the River Mersey. The genre, characterized by its upbeat sound and catchy melodies, was pioneered by Liverpool bands such as Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Searchers, and The Merseybeats. Merseybeat helped define the British Invasion in the United States, a period in which British music dominated the American charts.
Liverpool's commitment to celebrating music is also evident in its various festivals, including the Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF) and Africa Oye.
"Aardhana" added a uniquely Sri Lankan note to Liverpool's rich musical background, showcasing the city's embrace of global musical influences and its thriving multicultural community. Taking these personal photographs was unofficial, but I aimed to capture the essence of a night where music strengthened cultural bonds as a gesture of support to the dear organizers.

MARCEL - Jos Houben & Marcello Magni from MimeLondon on Vimeo.
This video will be available to view until Sunday 5 February 2023.
Théâtre de Complicité original members, Jos Houben and Marcello Magni opened LIMF‘16 with a masterclass in comic performance, produced by Peter Brook’s famous Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris. In Marcel, they are a brilliant double act: Houben, the tall, brisk figure of authority putting the shorter, Magni, through a series of demanding physical and mental tests that must be passed to gain, or perhaps retain, qualifications whose significance remain a mystery. As the tests become more arduous, so Magni’s need to take short cuts becomes more pressing and ingenious.
In a tender and blissfully funny exploration of the perils of ageing, these two distinguished performers revisit their early days with Complicité in celebrating the art of physical comedy and the beauty of the ‘gag’. Jos and Marcello met as students at the Ecôle Jacques Lecoq in Paris. Prior to Marcel they last appeared on stage in London together in Peter Brook’s production of Samuel Beckett’s Fragments, in 2008.
"A gag is a poem. It makes us laugh by the effect of surprise, the virtuosity of the performance and the humanity it reveals. It frees us from day-to-day predictability, celebrates the art of the actor in close complicity with his audience and reveals the universality of our physical condition" Jos Houben and Marcello Magni
This online screening is dedicated to the memory of Marcello Magni, who died too early, in September 2022.

Iznutra je mračno i toplo, nema boje niti vida. Iznutra se vrzma i vibrira. Čestice putuju, iznutra je zapakirano, stisnuto, napeto. Prelijeva se preko čvorova. Nakupina čvorova, puteva, kože, limfe bori se ispod površine. Stvara kut iza kojeg se stalno okrećeš. Tvrda kuglica ostaje zaboravljena.

Light in my fingertips - Icarus Modern AU - Chapter One
Apollo Apollo got a lot of classes to attend. Theoretically he's only double majouring in art and music, but the god also shows up at medicine classes and some of creative writing, sometimes bio, he'll even go to Hades's morgue sometimes and help him make some reasearch if he's feeling restless. Apollo's got a lot of demigod children here, though, so they help him if he helps them back, which is fair. Sam, especially, is glad to help their dad understand some modern medicine if they can have some cool new sheets to play. Today is a "strictly majors" day, so Apollo will have some free time. It's still not that much. He goes to an anatomy test at eight in the morning and once more Apollo is glad his previous experience as the god of sun has made his body used to wake up early. On another hand, that means Apollo'll have no sleep until he gets to his dorm, and today it will at, uh... two in the morning, then wake up at five because Helio does not know how to keep a regular schedule and Apollo's need to wake up at dawn is a pain in the ass just as much as it is a blessing. He has some good resistence for being a god. Still, Apollo does get a coffee in his favorite shop in the campus. "Hey, Ganymedes", Apollo says cheerfully, thriving under the glares he's getting from the other students who look like they are about to pass out at any second. "Let me guess. You haven't sleep at all last night and are going to sleep less than four hours today", the man says. "You know me so well." "The usual?" "Yup." It's the blackest black coffee to ever black. Apollo almost has a stroke just by smelling it. This poison will probably keep him awake for the next hundred years. It's perfect. "I love you, G. If my dad didn't like your face, I'd date you." Apollo drinks a sip and his eye twitches. The coffee fills him with a sheer amount of energy that could otherwise only be acquired by spite. "I am your dad's mistress and have been for at least three millennia." "Yeah, I know, I caught you two a lot of times, stepdad." Ganymedes's brown skin darken even more with the memories. "You would be a strange 'stepson', which you aren't, because Zeus and I just hook up sometimes." "Still. Thanks for the coffee", Apollo smiles, unfazed by the weird conversation. He's about to go to class with his precious coffee when Ganymedes grabs the sleeve of his shirt. The usually warm and playful brown eyes are serious now. "Just a warning: There's a new reincarnate in the campus." "Newbie?", Apollo says. It's not a monthly occurrence, but common enough that he is not surprised. This college is full with gods, goddesses, worshippers, witches, monsters and reincarnated heroes since he first came. "So? What are they?" "I don't know. I've never seen his original life." "Old myth, then." Ganymedes is a very young god, born in the end of the old days, and Apollo suspects he has only managed to be turned because of Zeus. Althought he knows all heros's names by heart, he can't recognize a lot of them. "So?" "There's your mark in him. He met you in his first life." "Cool, that narrows down the possibilities to more or less seventy-five people and creatures considering the possibilty he may have been born in another form." "He hates you." "Half of them." Ganymedes sighs and Apollo can say the god is at the end of his quota of fucks to give. He's not worried. If the young god can put up with Zeus's antics, he can put up with almost anything. The newbie thing can be a bother, though. Most of them don't really try anything because the entire college is terrified of Artemis (as they should be). Still, some of them come yell at him - he thinks it's fair - or try to beat him up in some back alley - still fair, not acceptable though. Apollo can take care of himself. But he doesn't like to hurt people, especially people he has hurt before, so it's always a headache. Apollo has got some time before the test starts, so he goes outside and thinks about the three essays that need to be wrote until next week. Why the fuck did he want to go to college again? Oh, yeah, that "I need to keep up with the times" bullshit. Damn. Apollo looks at the sun without having to squint his eyes and thinks about the old times when he would be high in the sky. He closes his eyes and tries to chase away the memories of the chariot, the golden light, an infinite sky under his wheels. Apollo lived that freedom. He didn't care about the burning heat of the gold. He should have. The ancient god looked at his hands. There was no burns in them. "Can you move? You're in the middle of the path", a young, young voice says behind him and Apollo's golden blood almost freezes in his veins. No, Fates, please, why him? Why here, why now? "Hey, are you okay?" He recognizes that voice. It's not the same as the one that used to whispers lovely words in his ears, not the same voice that called his name and laughed and asked for more feathers, more wax, more touches. It's still the same sould behind it. Apollo recognizes that soul. He saw when it burned. "Hey, man, you're kinda freaking me out..." He was the one who made it burn. "Icarus?", the sun whispers.
