This will be one of the few 'x reader' fanfics that I'm going to post. I want to give credit to Fantasy for help with this book. This fanfic contains her oc - Lilyanna. Fantasy and I started this fanfic together when I was using Quotev (I sadly don't anymore) but we never got to finish it. She has put it on hold on Quotev but I'm going to continue it on here. If Fantasy does continue it (I highly doubt she will) our two versions will be different bc we sadly don't have contact anymore, so if she does finish it, make sure to check out both versions.

i would say "i'm back", but i was never really here to begin with. i suppose it would be more appropriate to say i'm here - again. or to avoid an introduction altogether...

it's day one of the fall semester. strangely enough, my excitement is outweighing my nerves. we'll see how long that will last.

i was going to avoid any mention of men - men being one specific man - as admitting to having any sort of thoughts about him makes me feel pathetic. i fear i've reached the point where i must simply accept my pathetic-ness. apologies to future lilyanna if this all goes up in flames - you can skip past the next paragraph if that's the case.

mr. special ops. mr. lana girl himself. i fucking hate you. you're like a little bug that's attached itself to my brain - and refuse to exit my thoughts. it's very annoying & i wish i were able to stop thinking about you. pathetic & cliche! see what you've done to me? god. anyways... you're in the forest right now. i hope it feels nice outside. i hope you're getting a good healthy dose of adrenaline. i know how much you crave it. i hope you're not too tired - & am sorry for keeping you up so late last night. not that sorry though. i hope your team is performing well & i hope you're all safe. admittedly, i'm a big worrier. but i don't really worry about you. not because i don't care; clearly i care way fucking more than i should - or rather, more than i want to. i know how strong you are, quite honestly what worries me most is knowing that you'll worry if your guys don't meet your expectations. & i don't want you to worry. i know how physically strong you are. i know how mentally strong you pretend to be. how you think that hitting an emotional kill switch is strength. we both know it's just something you've convinced yourself to be true. i know you're scared. i hope that once i get your walls down for good it opens up the floodgates. because i know that's what you need. i do worry that i won't be able to get them down fast enough. i crave seeing you vulnerable and in pain. said vulnerability and pain is there - and lots of it - you need to release it. you're safe with me, i promise. i know you know that.

"Official" well... no, but there is what I come up with right now! Which we can consider a general guide/how I would go about it if reading out loud.

The Human Nobility

There's a bit of a pun here. Basically, no matter how the names are spelled, they're actually just English propositions/conjunctions and what it says on the tin.

Annde -> "And"

Iff -> "If"

Theyn -> "Then"

Wheyn -> "When"

Whye -> "Why"

As we add to our royal house (or not, they didn't do too well) it'll follow this pattern. If it looks like an English word it's just that English word.

The Gold Elves

They actually just have common backwards English names (hello John Nhoj, how you doing?) We haven't met anyone else yet so it's just just Nhoj on the table.

That one I always pictured as essentially "noj", h is silent, j is soft.

Questburger

Exactly what it says on the tin "quest" followed by "burger" said with the utmost seriousness because this is a serious story.

The Night Elves

These ones are... harder as they're the land of Qwerty Keyboard Smash (not kidding, that's their names) but essentially I imagine it's just phonetic as Lily's doing her best from what it sounds like.

So just stare long and hard and take the plunge.

The Moon Elves

Ailill got the most unpronounceable real name I could find, Ailill, and because I have no imagination it's Irish for "elf", you're welcome.

The Sun Elves

These so far have really been me throwing darts (for plot justified reasons I won't get into).

Lilyanna, I needed a name that could be conceivably shorted to Lily or was Lily for... reasons but sounded different enough. It's pretty much what it looks like "Lily" "ahnna".

Ilyn, I believe I keyboard smashed or saw it somewhere and liked it, can't remember, personally I imagine it's "eel" "lynn".
