50 and 75!
Ahh, thank you, Ash!! 😊❤
50. "All I Want" by Scandal unlike Spotify I refuse to disrespect the whole band by adding "ft. Patty Smyth," sorry not sorry. Unnecessary! Though I do like Patty Smyth, but I REALLY like Scandal as a band INCLUDING Patty Smyth. There was no need to include her as an afterthought, like. She was part of the band, too, so I say it's enough to just credit the band. End of story!
"But all this time, I've lived my life without even trying/And all along, you knew your heart, you knew your eyes weren't lying"
75. "Dig Me Out" by Sleater-Kinney
"Dig me out, dig me in/Out of my body, out of my skin"

The more things change, the more they stay the same. For instance, The Ninth Inspector premiere ‘Lily’, in which a wheelie bin that swallowed Minnie farted.
Seems Rachelle D. Tavies hasn’t moved past the toilet-humour stage yet.

Lily of the Valley: Humility, protection, hope, good luck, love, return of happiness
Companion piece to this Sanson Smyth - Sunflower!
// Commission for myself by the wonderful @Dokinana on Twitter
I love this flower for him because of the first and last meaning—twice now he's returned to Sanson's side (to rescue him no less, hah) and in the course of this he's really been surprised and humbled by how much Sanson has grown and earned his trust (first when he reads Sanson's journal and then when Sanson stepped up and chose to pursue the truth). It's a delicate flower but it compliments Sanson's sunflower really well. One soars through the sky while the other keeps them grounded 💚💛

𝙰 𝙽𝙴𝚅𝙴𝚁𝙴𝙽𝙳𝙸𝙽𝙶 𝚂𝚃𝙾𝚁𝚈 ⸻ Lily has been different her whole life. But it wasn't the fact that she had exceptional talents or that she was a difficult child. No. Lily sees ghosts. The spirits of 8 women have accompanied her throughout her life since she was a child. They were by her side when her father hit her, they were by her side when Lily left home and they were by her side when she lived on the streets. And because they were always there, always by her side in their own special way, Lily promised to give them peace one day. So she set off in search of the women and how she could release them from their suffering. But what Lily uncovers in her search is something no one had ever expected.
𝙲𝙾𝚁𝙰𝙻𝙽𝙽 𝚂𝙼𝚈𝚃𝙷 ⸻ Coralynn Smyth is the reason for the way Lily's life turned out. But before Coralynn disappeared from her house in the woods one night, she wrote a book. A book about necromancy, souls and how to jump off the knife of death. This is Coralynn's story.

Of Knights, Banshees, Lily-pads and Sebastian Vettel,
Sebastian Vettel so feverishly looks like he jumped out from a painting, so much so that I had to do something about it. If it makes it better, I'm in fact quite fairly certain that I saw this in a dream.
He does look like he walked straight from a songe, that is, a romantic, medieval one : his long, golden locks, his beard, the way he wears his headband which is so reminiscent of a thin, Lalique medieval crown ; his attentive, pensive expression. There is a distinctly pre-raphaelite, Arthurian, as well as art-nouveau atmosphere to him, so I collected some pieces here and there — unmistakably, you will find Waterhouse, Mucha, Lefler, Pogany, and Smyth in there. Then of course, the master's piece, Sebastian Vettel.
My humble offer : Knight of the Round Table Seb.

Mini tired rant while I'm at work but I wish the UK got more dolls than it does,,, usually it's fine we just get them a couple months late but there's some that just never hit shelves here or you can only get via amazon where the sellers price is high and there's shipping costs from America.
We never got the costume ball/halloween themed rainbow & shadow high dolls which I think are so pretty but cost like £70 + shipping. We also never really got lily cheng I did end up importing her from elsewhere. It took a while for the storm twins to be released here if I remember right and I'm fully unsure if we ever got ainsley (she never hit smyths which is usually how to tell and she is expensive on amazon but I'm not sure if that's for not released here reasons or her being special edition). Monster high has just skipped a bunch of dolls it seems? We got the core 5, then deuce, then clawd and Abbey and 3/5 of the first skulltimate secrets dolls but we skipped torelai and ghoulia, the creepover dolls including twyla, all budget dolls released so far, the gorganizer, the ghoul spirit 6 pack and, the one I want the most, coffee break frankie & deuce. Like technically yes I can order them from America but that is so expensive, they're always more expensive that they are on store shelves and shipping on top of that can sometimes be a lot,,, idk if we're even gonna get some of these or if that's just it. I keep meaning to see what dolls other countries who get them later get because there's some I would really like but they're just too expensive to buy from America

"Doesn't bother me if it doesn't bother you."
wait, is that SEBASTIAN SMYTHE? they kinda look a lot like THOMAS DOHERTY, don’t they? i heard the 21 year old is known as THE CASANOVA around mckinley. it seems like they auditioned to be in THE WARBLERS which is so lame? people at campus have said they’re +DETERMINED, but don’t be fooled since they’re also -ARROGANT. rumor has it, you can find them at LACROSSE when they aren’t belting show tunes. their entire vibe revolves around BLAZER PIPING, FRESHLY BREWED COFFEE, AND SNARKY SMIRKS but no one pays attention to that here in ohio.
auditioning with dynamite by bts
Sebastian was born and raised in San Diego. When he was 13, his parents had told him they were getting a divorce, and Sebastian took it really hard. When his mother was transferred to France for work, his parents gave Sebastian the decision if he wanted to start high school in Paris, or stay in America with his father. It was the most difficult decision he had ever made, and he was apprehensive about the move at first, but it didn’t take long for him to grow accustomed to life in Paris. He’d fly back and forth to visit with his father every now and then, but after finishing his schooling in Europe, he made the decision to spend more time with his father back in the US. Unfortunately, he didn’t know before he made the decision that his father had relocated to Ohio, a state that was extremely low on Sebastian’s To-Visit list.
From a young age, Sebastian always knew that he liked not only girls, but also boys and growing up, he never had an issue with being himself. He had always been open to exploring his sexuality and while he had never been in a ‘relationship’ for more than a month, he didn’t feel he was missing out on the experience.
Sebastian had excelled in the sciences through high school and began to show an interest in the healthcare field. With aspirations to become a doctor or perhaps a surgeon, Sebastian had applied to a college within close range of his father, which was luckily the prestigious private college Dalton, where he’s majoring in their Pre-Med Biology program.

*✧ — july 2023 wrap up
Tumblr media
besties, idk what’s going on but basically all i wanna do it reread and idk how to change that. it’s not like i don’t want to read new stuff, but i am having a hard time channeling my energy to pick up something that isn’t already familiar to me. that’s mental illness for you. talking about rereadable books; i read giovanni’s room this month and omg it was so fucking good. insane. (thank you, seed, for giving me that final push i needed to give it a shot. ily <3) other than that not much happened, reading wise.
i did start my rwrb reread today in anticipation of the movie. ngl i cannot see how they’re gonna make some of the scenes work with these actors but i guess we’ll see how it turns out. also, did you guys all realise the switched from a queen (in the book) to a king (in the movie)??? was i the last to clock that????? like the bits of the cornetto scene we’ve glimpsed to far in the trailer, that change makes me a little wary. i cannot say i trust this movie to do a good job adapting the source material, but i’d gladly be proven wrong.
2023 goal: 138/100 books
as alway, feel free to drop book recs, questions, or opinions in my inbox; i am always happy to talk to you about books!
