It was just a standard training session when something happened and Barnes was gone with the Winter Soldier in his place. With none of them prepared to see the Soldier it was easy for him to initially overcome the Avengers as they fought to subdue him. It was here that tragedy struck and yet another person Tony loved was killed by Hydra's favourite weapon with Rogers lies wrapped snug around it. Only this time the lies spouted by Rogers wasn't that it happened but that Barnes was safe that he was 'cured'. Lies that lead to him holding his love Peter in his arms as he died. Well at least it wouldn't happen again, with the threat of the Winter Soldier resoundingly taken care of by a repulsor blast leaving a hole in his chest.

Leorio has irises, Kurapika an anemone, and Gon has lily-of-the-valley, which are all so on the nose for them so I really want to confirm Killua's.

Oh my god, I finally understand why everyone raves about London Calling by The Clash. Holy fucking shit is that an amazing album!

I already knew and loved "London Calling" and "Train in Vain", but hearing the album in full is like nothing I was expecting. Holy shit. I especially loved "Rudie Can't Fail", "Lost in the Supermarket", "Clampdown", "The Guns of Brixton", and "The Card Cheat" (for this last one I have to say: it doesn't matter if they're a punk band - I will always love piano in a rock song. ALWAYS. ...well, at least, given that it's played well).

Veil of Starlight

It's well decorated. Cozy... and lived in, he observes as he steps over the threshold, faintly smiling at the vase of lily of the valley, milkweed and cyclamen on a mantel above the hearth. Elwing always loved picking flowers.

It had been so, so long since he had seen his little sister. His little cuen. And his breath caught for a moment as he watched her come around the corner. She's so grown up. Without us. Elured thought, tears starting to form in his eyes.

"Ah you must be King Gil-galad! Suilad! It is so wonderful to finally meet you!"

"Ahm," he cleared his throat, "yes, it is wonderful to, meet you, too. I'm so glad we finally got the chance..."  he trailed off.

"How goes matters on the Isle? Good? Well..." she chattered on, but Elured was barely listening.

He worked rapidly to drop the enchantment disguising his identity, in denial, No, it must be the enchantment, that must be why she... why she doesn't- he thought frantically as it finally came down. 

But she didn't react. She kept on speaking about how things were in the Havens, until she noticed his lack of response, and pauses.

She takes a uncertain step forward. "Are... are you part maia as I am?" She haltingly asks.

"I. I am, yes, as you are." Elured hesitantly answers. Is this it? Is she starting to recognize me?

But she takes his hesitant response as him not wishing to speak of it, "I'm sorry, I did not mean to pry, and you need not explain. I too understand having a past too painful to speak of."

Elured nods, shocked and despairing. She didn't know him. His little sister doesn't know him anymore.

In honor of May, lets talk about its flower. The lily of the valley is considered the official flower for May and in the language of flowers it represents a return of happiness, something that seems fitting for early spring. The name itself comes from the Old Testament. In the Song of Solomon, the feminine voice calls herself the 'rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys.' Because of this, folklore says that solomon's seal grows well near it, partnering them as a married couple thanks to the scriptures. It also gets some of its other names from spiritual roots, being called Our Lady's Tears and Mary's Tears for the Virgin Mary as well as Apollinaris for Apollo. It was Christian Dior's favorite flower and has been claimed as the national plant by both Finland and Yugoslavia. Fairy were supposed to drink from the cups of its white flowers and 'gold water' distilled from the plant is supposed to be effective against strokes.

Such a well loved and delicate flower, popular in wedding bouquets and gardens across Europe, hides a dark secret however. Every part of the plant from its roots to its red berries are deeply poisonous, slowing the heart, cramping the stomach, fogging eyesight and easily leading to death. Despite this, its been used in moderation in folk medicine for centuries, even as modern as the World Wars as an antidote against poison gas.

With such a delicious mix of beauty and death, its hardly any wonder this flower has made its way into folklore. The lily of the valley is widely seen as a harbinger of bad fortune or even death. In Devonshire, UK, planting a bed of these flowers will bring a death to the family within the year and in Somserset, bringing it into the house invites death in with it, especially if there are young girls in the house to fall prey to it. In Sussex, the lily of the valley is believed to grow every year in the places that Saint Leonard's blood fell while he battled a terrible dragon. And there's also the story of how the lily fell in love with a nightingale and now waits for the bird, and his song, to return every year in May before she will bloom.

OOOHH.. wait do sunflowers stink . like for realsies smell bad i don't think i've ever smelled one FBJGHBJS but hm favourite flower... i like lilies and tulips?! also white azaleas...i usually like white/pink versions of flowers / really any that have this kind of vibe and would look fantastic in a little pastel bouquet
