"I do not believe she will take ''no'' for an answer." Neera was holding onto a drink in a fancy wine glass, swirling it around idly.

The hat pops on her head, and she exaggerates the pain, oh the PAIN AND AGONY she feels! How could her best friend DO THIS TO HER???

"Oh you're gonna get it now, Lyli!!! Jus' you wait, I'm gonna hold the most FANTASTIC birthday party ever for ya, EVERYONE'S gonna be there, no matter WHERE ya run off to! Ya could be all the way on the other side of the planet as far as I care, I'm gonna--

COMBO'D AGAIN??? MILLA PRACTICALLY SLAMS HERSELF INTO THE WILDCAT!! She barely got a moment to notice her phone, looking into the camera right as the picture was taken!

Oh spirits above--

"DUN'T'CHA DARE POST THAT ANYWHERE, MILLA! THAT'S GOTTA BE THE WORST PHOTO I'VE TAKEN YET!!!" She hands her mostly-finished plate of cake to Lyli as she stands and--OH RIGHT, STILL REELING FROM TODAY.

She flops back down on the couch, taking a nearby spoon and scooping up a bit of the cake with it. She'll then bend back the spoon and fling a piece of cake over to the hound! That's just about as good as trying to chase her down.

Lilac couldn't help but smile at the promise of revenge, she made a mental note to be back on Merga's island before then! But seeing Carol much more light hearted after all she'd suffered since she'd gotten back was comforting. No matter what she faced, she always landed on her feet. No matter how bad things got, that wildcat found a way to push through. It had always inspired her to keep moving and keep fighting for a better tomorrow. In a way without Carol she wouldn't be where she is today.

" Now, Now Carol Revenge is a poor color on you, take your hat like the champion you are "

She laughed reaching over to lift the hat and letting it pop back down on Carol's head with a soft smile. Moments like these made her feel like it was old times again. No sadness, no depression just the three of them being friends.

" Not like i can run away, that gem of yours would always find me... so i guess i'll take what ever is coming to me with a smile "

She took her plate of cake and stuffed that first bite in her own mouth giving Carol a little wink. A Distraction mostly, as Milla flopped on the couch on the other side of Carol! Shee presed her cheek against carol's pushing her over against Lilac, and lifted her phone up in front of the three of them!

" Everyone say BIRTHDAY FUN! "

She took the photo before Carol could fully realize what was happening! Frosted face and all! That Dog girl could be devious when she wanted! giggling like mad as she hopped back up after the photo to get her own plate of cake, and ice cream! it felt like old times to Lilac watching the antics of her friends. It made her forget how sad she was inside, or that this moment would ever come to an end. For the moment, right here and now--- all she cared about was having her two best friends with her!

Evie let out a little chuckle as she observed Milla's observations of one of her many, many pets... or whatever they actually were to her. It wasn't entirely clear on that particular detail. They were loyal though and would come if she called.

"Well... depends on who you ask... Although comparing them to dragons is typically apt... and no, not camouflage. This little guy is just very relaxed."

Hopefully that would be somewhat useful, even if it was hilariously incomplete information. It would still take the moment to yawn and show off that abyss of a mouth they're somewhat known for before nuzzling itself deeper into Evie's hold.

"That they are... Although if you spot any hanging around, I'd still wouldn't just pet or pick any up without asking first... especially if I have any of the really little ones."

I was told you were who I would go to in terms of making potions, yes?” Drake was wanting to continue trying to strengthen his resistance to the natural elements, and while being struck by the elements were sufficient enough to get results, albeit a bit painful, he wanted to see if he could gain it the same way, but through artificial means. After asking around, he was pointed to Milla, and decided to seek the young Basset herself. “I was hoping you could assist me with testing a theory I had in mind, as you are an expert at making resistance potions.” He added.

Oh.

Oh, uh... that was a question that was definitely unexpected. And especially not coming from someone like Milla.

He thought back to the time he spent with Carol on Mobius, short as it was before they came to Avalice. That their relationship started out on the wrong foot in the worst way was hilarious, considering.

"When we were living on Mobius, it was kind of a realization of a lot of little things," he said. "I'm not quite sure how to put it into words." There was a small smile at the reminiscence of what seemed like forever ago. "Like a space that got filled in, one that I never knew was empty. A cliche term would be 'she completed me', I guess. That and she was just my kind of girl, even with the hotheadedness that she introduced me to herself with."

The hound always grew especially nervous when she had to face the consequences of her actions. She never got any better at this, as one might expe--

Well, besides looking at someone and going ''wow theyre kinda hot.''

Though, like... she didn't think that way about Sony and Lyli at first. Eh, well, she always thought Lyli looked really pretty--but that was probably more to do with the ''holy SHIT SHE'S A DRAGON'' thing than anything else. No, she didn't get the ''oh my stones i wanna kiss her so badly she's so pretty'' feelings until a while later. And then even later did she realize that those were those feelings in the first place--thanks Cory.

And Sony--fucking hell she thought he was Spade at first. As does... mostly everyone else whenever they see him for the first time. How hot he was didn't hit her until they started talking, like actually talking. When she noticed the (very obvious) differences between him and Spade. When she had him like, every day.

And yeah, she sees some people and mentally goes ''damn they look nice'' but like... she'll never get those butterflies in her stomach with them like she does with Sony and Lyli.

Maybe she'll just... save that question for last. The last one is a lot easier.

A light spout of teasing later, she went to check her phone. Send a message out to Surge, and--oh hey Milla responded.

She never did explain that whole alternate universe to them, did she?

She was already on Mobius before she got back home--and being stranded on an alien planet for months was a little bit more pertinent in her head than like... a fucked up universe she didn't exactly want to think about in the first place.

It just like... never came up! Other things happened, she just forgot about it all, at the end of the day.

Though, she cut off the hug sooner than she would've liked to, and went over to hug Milla as well! Of course she was gonna hug her other best friend. These were the most important people to her.

She also hugged Milla to keep up appearances but hey she's never gonna say that out loud.

"Thank ya! I, I really do mean it, guys." She broke off the hug and sniffled, "I jus'... I'm so glad y'all are here. Thank ya so much."
