Hey shout out to my new mutual @mythopoea who just introduced me to my new favorite artist/illustrator, Lily Seika Jones

Here’s one of my favorite pieces so far, but seriously anything by her you can just frame on a wall.

It’s just got such a nice style with this warm, yet mysterious feel. I don’t know what books Ms. Jones has illustrated, but several are going on my wishlist now.

Avoid? Oh dear anon… there is no avoiding it! Once you’re out of the closet your characters follow suit! You are doomed, doomed I say! To have a shit ton of queer characters! Your hubris has caught up with you, and you will be forced to accept your fate! There is no avoiding it! So embrace it! Embrace your fate! Make those gay characters! Because there is no avoiding the inevitable!

Ok I’m just over halfway through season three so this could all change but holy SHIT Lucifer has become so boring😭every episode is the exact same thing. Something happens to Lucifer. They get a case that he can project on. He storms out of the middle of a therapy session after misinterpreting Linda’s advise. Insert chase/fight scene. Maybe Maze shows up to threaten someone. He and Chloe have an almost emotionally vulnerable moment. It’s the same every. damn. time. And I’m so over it atp. I’m halfway through the shower and the MAIN CHARACTER has not had a SHRED of character development and it’s exhausting. He undergoes absolutely zero growth and it’s getting harder and harder to root for him. At this point the only reason I’m watching is for Chloe and Maze (bc I’m a simple lesbian) and I’m just waiting for Chloe to realize Lucifer is actually uh. Lucifer. But I imagine even that will let me down and somehow not change anything. Even with the introduction of new characters, Lucifer’s mom, Cain, etc, it’s just boring. Like how the hell did this run for six seasons?? A show where none of the characters undergo any personal growth gets six seasons whereas Lockwood and co gets canceled after ONE (and those characters underwent massive amounts of growth in just one season!!). Anyways I don’t think anyone is gonna read this but it’s just so frustrating and I’m over it

description: in which you and ghost have a baby girl who loves to copy your facial expressions

You always wore how you were feeling on your face, everyone could tell what mood you were in based on your facial expressions. It was one of the many things Simon loved about you, considering he was so stoic and neutral faced something that he learns from his years in the military. 

When you and Simon had your baby girl Liliana, you two always fought about her favorite was and who she favored more which was clearly you. But the one thing she loved to do was copy anything  and everything you were doing including your facial expressions. 

Simon found it hilarious when you would be glaring at someone graves for example and babygirl would try and copy or whenever you were mad him, he would not only have one set of eyes glaring at him but his own babygirl glaring at him because her mom was. But the moments you were happy and in a good mood, he would find that smile he fell in love with duplicated on y'all's mini which made his heart grow.

You rolled your eyes at the sight of Graves, making a displeased sound at seeing the man as you adjusted Lilly on your hip. Liliana saw this and immediately tried rolling her eyes at Graves and making a noise of disapproval before giving him her best side eye that she learned from her mama. 

Now the guys had heard stories about Lily copying you're facial expressions but never truly got to see it until today and their reactions didn't disappoint. Kyle was barely keeping together upon witnessing this. Now Soap couldn't hold it together at the sight of Liliana try to copy you at the sight of Graves and ended up laughing at the sight. 

"Ghost...does she always do this?" Price asked looking at you and Lily who were still side eyeing Graves. 

"Always. Anything mama does, she copies." He said with a smile.

"Like mother, like daughter." Price said with a smile as he looked over at you and Lily. Simon smiled at his comment before making his way over to where you guys were standing gently pulling your attention away from Graves and towards him. 

"That's my mama and babygirl." Simon said pressing a kiss to Lilly's forehead and then one on your lips.

Toddler!reader waking up brother!jj cause she thinks she has heard a noise under her bed and comes to jj, asking if he can check in

It's a rare occasion you and JJ sleep at home, for obvious reasons but sometimes there's just no way around it that's how you find yourself in your room, snuggling your Winnie Pooh plushie when a thump noise ripped you out of your slumber.

You sit up, rubbing your eyes tiredly and mumble softly. "Jay?"

There's just silence but you're startled when you hear that thump noise again, your hold tightening on your stuffie. With a whimper you get out from under the covers and carefully slide down the side of your bed, your naked feet hitting the ground.

You quickly toddle over to your door, barely reaching the handle and pull it open, going straight to JJ's room right across from yours.

As you push his door open you see him laying on his stomach with his leg slightly propped up and snoring faintly. Standing beside his bed you reach up to poke his cheek. "Jay..."

When he doesn't move you try it again but this time pat his cheek a few times with your tiny palm, whining a little. "Jayj wake up!"

Finally he starts to stir, peeking one eye open. "Why are you up...it's- damn it's 3 in the morning."

"There's a monster in ma room..." You whisper, glancing at his door before back at him.

"A monster huh? It ate your toes or somethin'?" He asks, his voice heavy with sleep and still laying in the same position you found him in.

"Don' say that! S'not funny." You whimper, trying to climb up his bed and he stops you.

"Didn't say it was. Listen, there are no monsters 'kay? Go back to sleep." He mumbles into his pillow but you don't give up, now pulling at his hand.

"Pwease come check...m'scared." You admit and JJ sighs, sitting up with a yawn.

"Okay. Okay. I'm comin'."

He lets you lead him back to your room, stealing a glance at the living room he sighs seeing his father sprawled out on the ground beside the couch and with no doubt fell out of it in his sleep. That's probably the reason you woke up and it's funny in a sense you think there's a monster considering what kind of a person your father is.

In your room you stand by your closet pointing at your bed. "S'under there."

"A'ight..." He mumbles, going to crouch down to look under it, standing back up after checking. "Nope, no monsters living here."

"You sure?" You ask, your voice muffled from hiding your face behind your Winnie Pooh.

"Mhm, you're safe to go back to sleep." He says, waving you over to him. "C'mon, I'll tuck you in."

You shuffle closer to him, letting him pick you up and lay you back down in your bed. He pulls the covers over your body, ruffling your hair. Before he could leave you grab his hand again. "Can you stay til I asleep?"

He smiles softly, nodding his head. "Course kiddo."

You scoot over a little to make room for him and he slips under the covers, making sure you're comfortable and have your stuffie, chuckling when you snuggle closer to him. "Night-night, jayj..."

"G'night, sweetie."

I hate to bring up something so dark, but have you heard about Rachel Lillis's cancer? She was the dub actor for Jessie and has a GoFundMe to help fund a caretaker. I hope I haven't overstepped bounds or given you a bad day, but I was hoping that as such a big part of this community you might be able to spread the word. She was a huge part of so many of our childhoods, but I haven't seen a lot of noise about it online.

It's really sad but she's been getting an immense amount of support! Her gofundme is waaaay above it's goal which is amazing. I made a post about it as soon as I heard the news two days ago
