FRANCESCO: why?
FRANCESCO: why did you do me so wrong? i just need an answer to this because no matter how much i try not to, my mind keeps coming back to this...
FRANCESCO: if you had no interest whatsoever, if you started having feelings for someone else, why didn't you just tell me instead of leading me on? was i so naive that i didn't see the signs or something?

The pages for all of the alive Marchands are done (yaaaaaaaaaay~) go to Lillian’s page to get all those links~ And now for some quick 1am HCs / character talks:
All of the Marchands in both main verse and 1920s live / own a family home ( it was their parents’ house / the house they grew up in ), but Lillian and Edmond are the ones that truly live in it; Thomas usually stays in the quarters above his bar, and Ginger usually stays in the apartment above her cafe. The deed was in Ginger’s name, but she transferred ownership to Edmond once he moved back to Fayetteville.
Speaking of grandpa / grandma Marchand, right now I’m writing them off as dead-without-cause because I don’t want to write them and plan on never writing them, though their fate + how Ginger got the money to buy a little café may change latter.
Most of these backstories are a bit I-just-thought-of-this-and-it-makes-at-least-some-sense anyways; Edmond’s is the most thought out of the siblings for sure, since it’s been the same for a few years and basically aligns with Lillian halfway through. Thomas is the next thought out with how he comes to own his own bar, and then Ginger’s is just.......Well, you see the length of her bio and compare to Thomas.
Another thing that will probably never be added back: Ginger’s husband, William, who was only added because I thought Lillian’s huntress verses needed a cop character. He has been written out of the canon for years now, mostly because even though I wanted him for a specific purpose I never did anything with him, nor did I actually like him very much ( got much more attached to Ginger, who was actually supposed to be the one-note character until I changed things around ).
Colette ( and whenever I write her page ) will probably be the most seasonal / rare character to interact with, though that seems pretty obvious by the fact that she’s dead. She’ll probably only exist in past verse and on Mother’s Day should anyone want to bother her.
Little bits of Lillian’s core basics in her character are in each one of these guys ( spot them all, and you get cookies~ ).

smut/kink prompts: bloodplay | accepting!
- ̗̀ silver dances the longevity of alabaster flesh spanning from clavicle to breastbone, acting as a conduit POSED to expose the crimson-toned lust currently swarming beneath a thin layer of skin — she, too, would play the role of martyr any moment now, though jasper had yet to make any substantial incision and inflicting mere scrapes was becoming quite bothersome, so it was without repercussion that the dame’s back arched, further encouraging the sharpened blade to break skin with a diminutive laceration beneath her breast ( preceded aggravation dispersed to showcase bliss in BEAUTIFUL technicolor ! ). many a time had lillian been in a position such as this one, with shoulders entombed in the familiarity of a mattress, but never had she been this exposed — this VULNERABLE. suddenly a hand rose to manipulate the blade from an tenacious grasp all while the other encouraged the brute to lean closer and closer before . . . breathing labored while the dissection of desire began when the metallic commodity met the thin sheath of jasper’s bottom lip. relevance of blood was instant, though the infliction was considerably docile. within moments, a finger colored lillian’s shade of crimson rose to lips previously marred / eyes glinted with intrigue drank in the sight of lips pursed around an index finger, which curled to caress the tongue before inevitably scraping across jasper’s canines and applying notable pressure to the fresh wound. the mouth that previously hung agape now made contact with the bloodied one and, upon savoring the zest of iron on her tongue, lillian’s face fell to the nape of an exposed neck; in no definite sequence, kisses trailed the span from a strong jaw until the profound curve of shoulder when sudden hesitation sanctioned a blurred conscious as she realized jasper remained fully clothed. now perched atop silken sheets, the recently undressed dame lifted jasper’s chin by the end of the knife in hand so his gaze could meet hers. ❛ listen & listen close daddy-o — i ain’t no bird for you to gawk at. y’hear me ? if what you’re wantin’ is to play house, you’s best start actin’ real swell-like . . . ❜ when no answer was reciprocated, the shiv idled near the collar of jasper’s shirt before belligerently tearing into the material ( slicing equal parts flesh as cotton ). as blood tainted the white fabric of the button-up, lillian dropped the weapon onto the bed prior to gripping the cloth with both hands and forcing it apart — had lillian known such a simple feat would take a great deal of force, she wouldn’t have touched the material to start with ! — within mere moments, buttons lay scattered around the pair as lillian knelt before the brute / bitterly dimpling her exposed knees as a final act of vengeance. a firm hand placed mid-torso coaxed jasper into laying where she once had, palm caked in viscous plasma and thin-boned fingers tracing the contour of substantial wounds jasper received. after stealing a glance of her beau, lillian’s hand lowered as a tongue grazed through the warm substance on a broadened-chest. ❛ not bluenosin’ me now, are ya ? ❜ a tasteless hum echoes in the reticent space as lillian sat on and began to knead against jasper’s cloaked pelvis / rose-colored blush crept along her exposed breasts while a digit fingered the bleeding laceration on the male’s chest — for the effort it took to remove jasper’s shirt, she would not allow him to access and take control of the situation at hand; she had been undressed first and therefore deserved to get off first, no matter how much teasing the male had to endure for lillian to get there.
#heartcraves#jasper & lillian interaction tbt.#the ending was Kinda rushed bc my dad was like 'we have to go to work' n i'm not sure if he's fr or not#n iF U DON'T LIKE THIS!!! i can change it a lil bit bc it isn't Necessarily smut per se

#TBT Bishop-Mausell-Meredith-Lerner House, Pomona, c. 1970
Photo from the John McCabe collection of the HSRC
This house’s most famous owner was Burgess Meredith, who lived in Ramapo for about 30 years. It was largely because of New City playwright Maxwell Anderson that Meredith and his then-wife Margaret Perry moved to Rockland and bought this house in the early 1940s. Anderson won New York Critics Circle Awards for two of his plays in which Meredith starred "Winter-set" in 1935 and "High Tor" in 1937, the latter of which also earned Meredith a Drama Critics Award. Meredith also starred in Anderson's 1938 play "The Star Wagon," with Lillian Gish.
Meredith's film credits include "Of Mice and Men" in 1939 and "Advise and Consent" in 1962. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his portrayal of a boxing manager in the 1976 film "Rocky." He’s also well known for his campy portrayal of the Penguin in the Batman TV series.
When Meredith was married to actress Paulette Goddard, he sold this house to Broadway lyricist Alan Jay Lerner and built a new home close by on the property. Bud Widney of Wesley Hills, production manager for Lerner in the 1950s, recalled the parties Meredith gave at both houses and the horse farm he established at Camp Hill.
During the years Lerner lived in Ramapo, he wrote "My Fair Lady" with composer-collaborator Fritz Loewe, who rented another house nearby.
Historian Craig Long said, in 2000, that there is enough historical evidence to demonstrate the house's importance as a Ramapo landmark.
“Even if the stories about Generals George Washington and Anthony Wayne having stayed there are tradition and folklore," Long said, "there's no denying the fact that Revolutionary soldiers camped at Camp Hill."
According to the Rev. David Cole's history of Rockland, Meredith's house was "the old home of the Bishop family," likely built by Ebenezer Bishop, who lived from 1749 to 1829. Bishop and his family are buried in a small plot nearby.
“The house looks out over a spacious lawn and once was part of a large farm," said historian Marianne Leese of Suffern. "The area has historical significance for the encampment of Lafayette and his troops during the Revolution."
In the 19th century, Leese said, the house was owned by Capt. J. Mausell, an early steamboat captain on the Hudson River. Mausell was the second captain of the Rockland, the second steamboat to be built in the county, she said. In 1845, Leese said, Mausell became captain of a steamboat named the Warren, which sailed out of Haverstraw.
The house and grounds are owned by The Town of Ramapo.

TBT: Lillian Russell (1940)
Lillian Russell (1860/61-1922) is a fascinating personality, so it’s really too bad that the only biopic made about her, 1940’s Lillian Russell, is a total snooze! Designer Travis Banton‘s costumes get a lot of praise, but they’re pretty dubious in terms of historical accuracy (a given as this was filmed in 1940). The real Russell was... Meet the Royals
Monarch of Brindleton Bay: King Theodore Morgan James of Brindleton
Spouse: Queen Lillian Isabelle Grace of Brindleton
Excerpt from The Brindleton Times
A New King is Crowned
Grief is still heavy in the air as the country mourns the death of our beloved royal family. Investigators are still searching to uncover the cause of the fire that tore through Sable Square castle, and took the lives of 23 people – including the King, his wife, his brother and their three children. The only member of the late King’s immediate family to survive was Prince Theodore, who was honeymooning in Sulani at the time with his new wife, Princess Lillian of San Myshuno.
The new King, who now resides permanently with his wife in the family’s summer palace, was crowned earlier today without all the usual pomp and circumstance that typically accompanies a coronation. The palace released a statement announcing that they felt such celebrations would be in poor taste.
Here at TBT we welcome His Royal Highness King Theodore of Brindleton, and wish the new couple every success in their bright future.
Long Live the King.
Excerpt from the Simnation Star
King Theo is Crowned
In a secret coronation ceremony today, Prince Theodore was crowned King of Brindleton. We can’t help but ask what he has to hide? With investigations still ongoing, many may find themselves wondering how awfully convenient it was that the Prince and his new wife decided to extend their honeymoon, and thus avoided the fate that befell the rest of the family...
These two royals seem very young for such responsibility, and we will have to wait see if King Theo can live up to the example his uncle, and much beloved predecessor, set. Probably best that you don’t hold your breath.
Sources close to the royal couple reveal that they are eager to produce an heir. Life has proved to be incredibly fragile and we suppose they must be trying to keep the crown in the family.
