Lilleo Dariya, also known as The Voyaging Stareyes, is the ancestor of Liiore Dariya. It is said that he was capable of speaking to the stars and divining their knowledge, but it was never certain if that was merely hearsay, a series of strange coincidences, or a genuine display of astromancy.

Utilising his vague connections to the Fleet, he set out on a solo mission to travel to the far reaches of the galaxy to chart as much of the known universe as he could. While he did send back transmissions containing data of previously unknown stars and planets that would eventually be conquered by the Empire, as contact lessened over the decades it was clear that he was only using the Fleet to his own ends. Enough time passed, and he was never heard from again, having taken his ship and vanished into the vast expanse of space.

No one knows if he is still alive today, still sailing across galaxies far beyond anyone's reach, still listening to the stars guiding him to a new home.

I think I will go ahead and make the Dariya bloodline mages tbh, seeing as it fits in w. my New Lore about seafoam jades (in regular society theyre just kind of a unique but not mutant colour, but for those In The Know that caste is heavily associate with magic) and also because astromancy is cool

They were never historically recorded as mages the same way that the Ishimi bloodline was, but there were some who believed that The Voyaging Stareyes’ connection to the stars was more than just a fascination that lead him to explore the cosmos until his unexplained disappearance

Divination using the stars is the main ability associated with the Dariya bloodline, but because I’m a slut for anime bullshit there is a possibility that one could go down the destructive route and end up just straight-up dropping stars on people. But no one ever has because the Bloodline is just Not Like That

The majority of Dariyas before Liiore either didn’t know about their magic, didn’t care to study it, or may have only learnt small divination tricks that they kept to themselves just for mundane purposes. Snakedad never pushes any of his charges to learn because he wants them to feel comfortable doing whatever they want. And if Liiore ever learnt about his magical aptitude he would just be like [politely places that information down on the ground] oh no thank you
