The accused's lawyers Sandeep Sherkhane and Dinesh Prajapati argued against police remand. The magistrate refused to give immediate custody to the police after reviewing the investigation so far.

Meanwhile, the police van carrying the accused Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad from the police station to the court broke down on the way. Bandra court is less than two kilometers away from the police station. But after going 100 meters ahead, the police van broke down and the policemen were seen pushing it. Despite this, the van did not start, so another vehicle was arranged in a hurry. After this, the police reached the court with the accused.

Earlier, Mumbai Police had said that sufficient evidence has been found against the accused. People who were in contact with him are being questioned.
