Lisa Hartman - (Tabitha) - Can we spare a moment of silence for Tabitha Stephens as played by Lisa Hartman? The sitcom Tabitha was a hybrid of Bewitched and The Mary Tyler Moore Show, showing us Darrin's and Samantha's daughter off living her life as a fab 20 something witch in the late 70s. While Samantha was constantly hiding her magic and appeasing a persnickety husband, Tabitha used her magic freely and wasn't ashamed of it. She was also working out of the home at a local TV station, where she dealt with celebrities, other witches, and a hunky but dumb TV star. Despite all its promise, Tabitha was cancelled after less than a season, but in the short time she's allowed, Hartman makes our new liberated witch independent, forceful, and interesting.
