Chris had always complained that there was never any ‘ normal ’ food in Sam’s refrigerator or pantry, that all of her food were alternatives and--even worse--too healthy. ‘ You’re pushing your vegan agenda on us, ’ he would whine and that was when Sam decided she would always have some food stored for them whenever they visited.  

“Aha!” She pulls her hand out, branching the thin purple box of white cheddar mac and cheese. “Success,” Sam grins, showing the box off to Kate. “What do you say we cook up this bad boy?”

"Do you have to work today? Could we not just... have a lazy day?" He asks gently, leaning his head back on the pillow as his arm wrapped around her waist tightens a bit.

Lee’s travels had taken him to this city and state because of his line of work as tactical taskforce detective. He had turned up to the area on rumors, speculation and reliable information that something criminal like, terrorism like or generally bad was already happening or going to happen. 

So he was either going to stop the incident or try to prevent the incident from ever happening. He had a place for him and his daughter to stay in the mean time, who he was the sole carer of. The man’s general senses and his cybernetics alerted him to a incident around the corner.

A man was about to strike a woman who hadn’t done anything wrong. His fist was caught by Lee. “Walk away, be smart.” But the thug didn’t make that choice and attempted to attack him. So Lee flipped him to the ground, knocking him out. He then smiled towards the woman. “Are you alright?”

❝God, mine too,❞ she muttered, groaning in defeat and resting her head on the table. Normally, she was good at this, but for some reason, a thick fog seemed to sweep over her brain, and she felt unable to clear it.  ❝It’s like the more I look at it, the worse it gets. I don’t think I can take much more of this.❞ Unfortunately for the both of them, it seemed she would have to - this teacher loved assigning random pop quizzes for reading. She’d tried emailing this teacher about the dense wording of the question being on the borderline of unintelligible, but it seemed she wouldn’t get a response now.  ❝Maybe if we scream, it’ll help. I’ve got some pillows.❞

It had been a couple months since Liam had last seen Kate, and he realized he missed her a whole lot. They had texted and emailed when he could but even that didn’t feel like quite enough. He missed sitting across from her at their favorite diner and just goofing off at the little amusement park.

But now that he was on the plane on his way back to New York he was buzzing with excitement, he had gotten her a few things as promised and he had another surprise for her. He was going to meet up with his best friend at the airport and then meet Katelyn at the Diner. During one of their conversations he had brought up her getting to meet Jack when he got back since the young man had also been texting him when able asking him if they could meet up when he got back state side. So he decided to kill to birds with one stone so to speak.

Jack was eager to meet Kate and Kate seemed eager to meet Jack as well. He just hoped they got along when they actually met.

Once he landed it didn’t take him long to find Jack, the boy kind of stuck out like a sore thumb in his mismatched clothes that looked like they’d seen better days. With a quick hug and the customary how are you’s and its awesome to see you’s the two men left the airport after grabbing the other bag Liam had with him.

Liam paid for a taxi  which dropped them off close to the diner. He had Texted Katelyn shortly after they’d gotten into the taxi to let her know he’d landed and was on his way.

“Dude I really hope you like her, she’s such a sweet woman.. real pretty too.” Liam said with a beaming smile as he pushed open the door. He waved at Linda as he found a booth since he saw Kate wasn’t there yet.

“I’m sure i will. She must be so nice for you to be so antsy to get back here. I guess you got some major feelings for her huh?” Jack replied with a coy smile and a raised brow. the werewolf went red and he started shaking his head vigerously “No.no its nothing like that she’s just a good friend like you are that’s it!” 

Jack gave him a doubtful look but didn’t press the issue further.

Sam truly admire her perseverance to have things done and just right but it's not the time to keep going with school works. She can even help her if she asks but it seems the flower was just enough to capture her attention which is great. She didnt took the seat that was amicably offered to her, Not to encourage her to continue what she was doing.

    Kharon paces around for a long while, before he finds himself moving to knock on the door. Yes, he has the key still, but he’s been gone so long the Ferrymen was unsure if he were still welcome here with her. Maybe she moved on? Maybe she was mad, or worse she understood and he would feel horrible for having to leave for so long. Huffing a breath he finally reaches out to knock on the door, hopefully she was home. If her job was still the same, perhaps her hours the same and she should have come home a while ago, right? 

He knocks again, amber hues wide and his lips parted in worry, lost to thought. So lost in fact he forgot he would be able to tell if she were home by her soul, but there he was. Stupidly knocking on the door, swaying side to side with anticipation.

- “Halloween hands down! Halloween is like Christmas but spookier and better! not that there is anything wrong with Christmas i love it too.”
