🐺🐇 hybrid!steve x vampire!reader

You were laid under a tree, your back flush against Steve’s chest with a cream rose-printed blanket underneath you both. The sun streaked through the dancing leaves above you, the shadows joined in their tango as the snowdrops and daffodils swayed to their rhythm. You plucked daisies from an old wicker basket and threaded them into a chain as Steve read softly from one of his old books, the raspy tone of his voice mixed with the music that played quietly from your little white speaker.

You leaned your head back against Steve’s shoulder, your eyes falling shut as you soaked up the heat and sun streaks before grinning to yourself as you quickly pinched his inner thigh, slung the daisy chain into the basket and scrambled to your feet while giggling at his confused protest. You kicked dirt and leaves onto the blanket as you sprung into a sprint and made your way into the woodland.

‘’Yeah, you better run, little rabbit,’’ Steve called out after you as the swings snapped and leaves crunched under your quickened pace. ‘’You’re gonna regret it when I catch you!’’

‘’No cheating, Mr Wolf,’’ You sassily shouted back to him, melodic giggles were left in the wind as you continued your sprint.

Your game of cat and mouse ensued; or was it a game of wolf and rabbit?

five wips

thank you @hunnybadgerv for tagging me! i'm so glad we started talking <3

I'm always working on something or another, so here are the five most recent WIPs I've been working on (DM me or send in an ask if you want to know more or help me brainstorm things xD).

Some of these have made appearances in wip wednesday / six sentence sunday so they may be familiar.

1. sparring partner - adam du mortain x regina bishop (twc)

this was a nsfw prompt request from @crackerdumortain and i am finallyyyy making some headway.

2. countdown to heartache - mason x ria knight (twc)

inspired by @possumsunshine's take on the post-bakery scene in "mess"; this is sort of my take with ria (which kind of puts it at odds with the feb prompt 'bakery' but whatev).

i wanted to break mason's heart after the book 3 demo (no real spoilers) and had one idea i was working with before i changed my mind. so i actually don't know where this is headed yet - the first two scenes are written so i kind of need to decide on the resolution i want so i can fill in the rest.

3. reginald (title tbd) - remus guill & regina bishop w/adam du mortain (twc)

@quietsphere and i decided 'reginald' (say it in a posh british voice as though you're mocking a du mortain) is our platonic detective ship name and this is explored in a self-indulgent, nonesensical, multi-part timetravel-ish AU fic (and potential future comic) featuring knight!adam in present day. it's turning into an eight-part epic.

4. unraveling truth - colt kaneko x ellie wheeler (choices)

i don't know if i really worked on this recently but i felt like i had to add a choices one here because this is really the only wip (i probably have at least 8 others) that i do want to finish at some point. i've been working on chapter 2 and have the first scene written, i just need to get the rest of it done 😅. chapter 2 focuses on logan & ellie on the run / fighting bandits and finally meeting up with rogues/rebels.

5. my love (tbd) - ambrose kim x michelle (mishi) wiseman (mind blind)

it's mostly an outline with about six sentences written but the focus of this fic is a mature conversation between rosy & michelle about how they each think of and refer to their relationship to others. my button oc michelle was adopted from south korea and is discovering her connection to her birth heritage with the help of rosy. this takes place during their established relationship/deep romance phase.

i'm excited for this one in particular because i get to incorporate some of my own korean heritage / culture / upbringing into this conversation about a relationship where boyfriend/girlfriend is an inadequate way to describe what they are/have.

it was definitely lloyd 

maybe ransom was the one who spotted reader first?

oooooo. i have the idea that maybe the boys own a club or something, or have one that they frequent. and ransom was like “find out snack for the night” and lloyd is instantly like “no, that’s the one we keep.” maybe they lure reader back and she’s kept as a “pet” or something for a while. the wolves aren’t too impressed but then ari gets all heart eyes and is like “fine. i would like her forever. do it”

Who would be what in the au? I’d love to read it!

ooooo!! okay so my ideas are:

ari - the eldest vampire. the one who made or invited everyone. he’d basically meet his doppelgängers along the years and be like “hey, wanna live forever and be brothers and stuff and get all the bitches”

steve - a werewolf/hybrid. i dunno which imma settle on yet. he’d mainly be sweet, loving and doting but around the full moon would get all mean and reserved and feral. he likes to chase reader around the grounds in his wolf form for fun.

curtis - a vampire. deffo a mean big brother. pretends reader is annoying, like he can’t stand her but is always there to help and can easily be swayed by some puppy eyes.

lloyd - a vampire. a sadistic one. constantly getting an ear full from ari about his ways and is all about getting reader to be as unhinged as possible. he indulges all readers cravings and takes pleasure in seeing her completely consumed by chaos.

jake - a fledgling vampire. reader would spot him one night and beg ari to change him so she could have a brother. he’d be a little trouble maker tho. but a cute one. she and jake would get up to all sorts of mischief and give ari and curtis a headache.

i kinda wanna include andy— i think he’d be a werewolf. but i dunno.

pls lemme know ur ideas for any characters or if u feel any of them would be something else!!!💓

I feel like it could go either way with turning reader, it depends on the situation.

If it’s a “heat of the moment I couldn’t help myself and I drained her accidentally so I had to turn her” type thing, Ransom. If it’s a more controlled, planned thing, Lloyd 100%.

it would absolutely be a controlled, calculated, planned thing. maybe reader was spotted before hand and lloyd consults with the family and manages to get them to agree. ari isn’t happy about it but knows there’s no stopping lloyd when he puts his mind to something. i’m gonna go with lloyd

okay, so it’s looking like y’all would prefer ari to be a werewolf instead of vampire, it even beats out hybrid. so out of the vamps: lloyd & ransom, who was the one who turned reader?🤔

me tooooo!! idk if i want him to be just a werewolf or a hybrid so he lives forever- i fully believe ari would've found a way to turn him. he basically makes himself reader's protector. he ain't above growling and lunging at the other vamps when he feels they're being too mean. he find ways to sneak her out into the sun without risk of her becoming hurt. he loves to bring her home flowers, pretty rocks and sticks he finds on his daily runs. he loves morphing into the wolf so he can curl himself around her and feel her fingers combing through his fur. he likes to lay beside her when she's laid in front of the fireplace with a book, snout nosing at her neck and lapping small kisses to the bare skin. GIMME WEREWOLF STEVE

wait question about the vampire au: are they all like, together in a romantic/sexual way or is it more like some a/b/o fics I’ve read where they’re all like a pack family type unit?

the boys are a family unit!! sorry i should’ve clarified that! reader is there to keep them “company”: they share reader! which causes some chaos😎

for the vampire au:

I’m just thinking about a foursome with reader ari lloyd and Curtis (and maybe Steve? Idk he doesn’t seem very vampire to me, he seems more like the sherif/law enforcement who is like “how tf do these people keep dying and how do I catch a vampire”)

but back to foursome, I’m just imagining them all together, there’s lots of biting and orgasms involved

omg hold on I just big brained: steve is the law enforcement and he ends up catching you at some point but plot twist! He’s a vampire too and then BOOM fivesome (is that even a word?)

idk sorry if these aren’t the vampire thoughts you were looking for my brain isn’t always the most creative

i love this idea!!!! he knows all the tricks so he’s like hold on. he brings you in and you try and get your way out of it but he pins you down and shocks you by bearing his fangs. you bring him to meet the family and bam— banging ensues.

but i also see steve (nomad steve) as either a werewolf or a hybrid. something about him just screams power. he’d get all feral close to full moon; moody and grumpy. you’d think he was being mean to you for no reason and go to confront him. he’d tell you over and over again to leave him be, but you keep pushing and he ends up snapping; teeth and growing as he tackles you to the ground, unable to stop himself he starts tearing at your clothes. “see what you fucking done, see what you do to me” hnggggggg

All I saw was Lloyd and Vampire. My god. I can’t think of a better pairing, and mama, I AM HERE FOR IT!

he’s too eccentric to not be a vampire, too sadistic. he’d be perfect🥹 the best, most unhinged vamp daddy🥹🧛‍♂️❣️

steve waking you a little before sun set. you complain and swat his hands away while he chuckled and continues to poke and prod and get you awake. he’s stood with a red cape, with a fur lined hood. “come on, it’s snowing. suns low enough to be safe outside.”

you slip out of bed and let him get you snuggled in the cape. as you trudge your way outside, you gaze out and the faintly lit, snowy manor grounds. as you reach down to scoop up a handful of snow to form a snowball, steve has stripped off and shifted into his wolf form. he nudges you forward, knocking the snowball from your hand; you turn to scold him but instead drop to your knees to run your hands through his golden fur. grinning and cooing, and cuddling up as your scratch his ears.

he noses at you to stand, before nudging you once again and barking softly. you take the hit and start to sprint towards the tree line. he chases you through the small woodland, barking and occasionally nipping at your heel as you giggle and squeal through the snow. eventually, he tackles you down, pinning you to the ground. you shriek and laugh as he covers you with slobbering you with wet kisses.

he curls up by a tree and you crawl over to lay against him, his warmth covering you like a thick blanket. you tangle your fingers in his thick fur and press kisses to his nose before closing your eyes and falling back to sleep under the moon.

can’t stop thinking about vampire ari chasing you around his manor, having too much fun with the sound of your desperate cries and whines after you try locked door after locked door. maybe he’ll keep you forever. 🫠🫠🫠

vamp daddy lloyd prefers you at his feet, dainty fingers wrapped around his wrist as you feed. likes nudging the point of his shoe against your throbbing mound and letting out teasing, deep laughs and mocking you, “can’t think while you’re down there, can you, honey? were you always an airhead or did that happen after you turned? all you wanna do is feed and get fucked stupid. ‘s all your good for, anyway, isn’t that right, baby?” teary eyes peering up at him as you nodded your head and let out desperate whines and moans around the blood flowing into your mouth, rolling your hips down against the leather shoe between your legs— i’ll see myself out

vamp daddy ari’s idea of bonding time is having you in his lap, hands running slowly over your body while you feed from him, face buried in his neck. him letting out soft moans, gentle encouragements; “don’t waste a drop, baby. let’s get you strong, hmm? you like feeding from daddy? i know you do, i can feel it” as his hand wanders between your legs and rubs against the wet fabric, teasing your clit— bye

curtis would lose his mind, coming to check on you before morning to see if you needed a feed before you sleep and finding lloyd washing you down in the tub. he’d get all mean, asking you how you could be so stupid to agree to going out with lloyd after he and ari had explained the importance of waiting and threatening to wake ari and tell him about your little adventure. you’d get all sad, puppy eyes and pouty bottom lip begging him not to tell; making him melt and join in helping you get clean before bedtime.
