Yarnaby and the yittens!!!

Anyways rewritten lore below!

Yarnaby was originally released as part of a wildlife conservation campaign in the 1970s, but due to his sheer popularity (especially with the kiddos), Playtime Co. decided to release an entirely new toy brand called the "Yarnimals", where profits made from this toy line would be donated to wildlife conservations.

Yarnaby was then added to the "Playtime Park" mascot roster soon after, where he would reside in "Yarnaby's Knitting Club" station. There, he and his handler would teach kids how to knit teeny tiny versions of him, often called a "yitten".

Unfortunatly, yittens were often forgotten, discarded, or even thrown away by their owners, but don't worry! Most of the yittens were taken in by Yarnaby, forming his own lil pride. (Perhaps the yittens being an extra $20 dollars has something to do with it...)

But despite the Yittens being an extra $20, Yarnaby's station was pretty popular with the kids and adults alike, with the kids happily exclaiming that they were so glad that "yarnaby was super duper soft!" Yarnaby is also trained not to say a word while he's playing with the littler guests, so parents don't have to worry about Yarnaby roaring and scaring them! (He couldn't roar even if he wanted too... Poor fella was never given a voicebox when he was created...)

Silly Lil yarnadough au

Basically, in this au, the doctor finds out about what's been happening with yarnaby and doey, and Yk, since he doesn't want anybody to be happy, he kills yarnaby. Btw in this au yarnaby joined the safe haven crew about 1-2 years before we (the player)arrived .The only problem is that yarnaby still feels some connection with his "Master."

In my PREVIOUS POST I showed yall da Pianosaurus, but there are THREE versions in my AU!! Lemme explain:

Spoilers ahead!!!

The three Pianosauruses, in order of height:

1, 14 feet tall, docile, and lawful neutral

2, 6 feet tall, violent, and chaotic evil

3, 1 foot tall, mostly docile unless provoked, and chaotic neutral

Those are the three versions.

1 is the FIRST(pay attention to this) BBI version. His human name was Agostino Withers, a child who grew up in Italy and was taken to Playcare after his family died in a fire. He is the most detailed version of Pianosaurus due to his massive size.

He mostly goes by Piano, Agostino, or just Pianosaurus.

Agostino was deemed 'too big' and tossed into the Prison below. After the Hour of Joy, he roams around the facility, looking for supplies for himself and sometimes the Safe Haven.

2 is the SECOND BBI version. His human name was never revealed, and all documents related to him are gone. This Pianosaurus became violent quickly and joined the Prototype. After the hour of Joy, he became a loyal follower of the Prototype up until his death by Doey. This is the version we see have 22 seconds of screen time.

Even if he was a lil violent, Agostino still treated him like a brother. Catnap and this Pianosaurus acted like siblings as well, except for when they fought over food and almost killed eachother..

He mostly goes by Pianosaurus and nothing else.

3 are a bunch of tiny Pianosauruses, the normal toy kind. Instead of children, they used lizards to make these. They were trained to listen to Agostino and the employees.

These can be found in the Prison or burning down The Doctor's servers. They love to cause havoc but will gladly take down actual threats.

These have been nicknamed 'The Minis' by Agostino.

There is another Pianosaurus, a limited edition version that is the size of the second BBI.

He is blue with purple triangle glasses. This was the prototype for the main Pianosaurus line. There is only one, but it is unsure where it is located.

I wanna post this since I don't want people getting confused about my au. -w-'' (scroll all the way down to see drawings) (THE AU IS CALLED "New Haven') Its essentially if the trio -Kevin, Matthew, and Jack- worked at the facility as adults. Ronna was an assistant to them and the three developed crushes on her, (cliche I know but leave me alone lol) And things happened to make the boy trio, well..Doey! And after Ronna started to figure things out about Playtime Co, she started to rebel against the factory before they caught on and made her into Doe, Doeys partner for Playtime Co's business. That's when 'The Hour Of Joy' started and Doey, Doe and escaped toys ran and found Safe Haven, but this time...they stayed safe. Managing to find food and keeping clean. The employee(or player) didn't return to the factory so Huggy, Mommy, and Catnap are still alive and wondering. But a little more self aware of what's going on. I will say they do Occasionally visits safe haven if they just want to rest or vent but, they usually stay where they are. Dr Harley Sawyer, however, is still alive and while he does have Yarnaby, the yarn lion is a lil rebellion too and also visits Safe Haven. The toys know very well of Harley Sawyer and the prototype, and they are ever so slowly trying to figure out how to take them down, Catnap doesn't really worship the prototype, just doing it to keep the prototypes ego in check. In short, the toys know what's going on and is helping each other to escape and be free of their hell. (not really good at story telling so sorry if it doesn't make sense <:[) (I SUCK AT DRAWING HUMANS-) But this is the boy trio, and Ronna while they were in the facility (under them is info on the souls!)

Kinda waiting for one of the Lil' Doeys to call Angel (headcanon/fanon name for now, based on DogDay's previous dialogue) him Dad or something by accident. Maybe they're calling for him from a distance, didn't hear, and shouted "Dad!" before the realisation sinks in and they molded/curled themselves up into a tiny ball like some kids do when embarassed.

Bonus if Kevin— the last to warm up— was the first to say it. 100% would be adorable.

*Mom is also applicable; we don't know who the Player is in-game, but I headcanon it as a male employee back in early Chapters of the game, and it stuck.

I actually thought of a moment like that for each of them because I thought it would be cute^^ I just headcanon the player as nonbinary/genderfluid because it makes it easier for people of various genders to relate, so I think the lil' doeys would either alternate between saying mom/dad or each of them would refer to the player with what kind of parental figure they seem them as. Or, my secret favorite 3rd option, call the player momdad/dadmom and kind of combine it into one word.

Jack I think would slip up and accidentally say "thanks dad" or something, and would have a mini crisis over it because it feels like a betrayal to his own parents to call the player that.

Matthew if he said it on accident would probably try and cover it up like "I mean- dad as in Kissy's dad! Ha.. she kind of sees you as one, you know? Anyways-" and be upset with himself for thinking of the player like that, because he's so convinced he's too old to need a parent, and he's being selfish for wanting that:(

Kevin would I think only do it under a very emotional circumstance, like if he genuinely felt in danger and was kind of just "Dad! Help!" and proceed to be angry at the player afterwards and pretend it was their fault he said that on accident, but I think they'd work through it.

In the case where the player is an uncle/aunt/sibling figure (which I've kinda tried leaving up to interpretation) I don't think much would change other than Jack would feel less remorse and less like he's "replacing" his parents.

This might have inspired me to share some thoughts I've had on their dynamics later when I have the time:3 like how the player would bond with each of them individually

Last yap session on my lil' Doey AU before I post either art or a writing snippet, just something more creative than only My Thoughts.

Mainly wanted to yap real quick about scenarios like what each of them would do if they got sick and what I think the family dynamics are like:]

I yapped a LOT so if you enjoy the AU maybe just read small bits of this at a time and come back to read more later. Idk. Sorry for overyapping💔💔 Main info post for the AU linked in the pinned post on my account. These are pretty much all about a version of the AU where they escape together.

Dynamics

I feel like after all this time, Kevin has somewhat respect for Matthew. They shared a body and maybe even thoughts, so I think that's the only person who's authority would get through to him. Not that he'd always fully listen, but I think he'd know anything Matthew asks of him is out of the goodness of his heart. Probably one of his few certainties being that his brothers wouldn't want anything bad to happen to him, even if that's sometimes a hard thought to process.

Kevin might see a little bit of his younger self in Jack and therefore want to protect him in the ways he wasn't protected. I think after they got separate bodies he'd recognize him more as a little brother and less just another person sharing his body. I headcanon that Kevin has some sort of sensory issues related to sound, as the cause of his outbursts seems to stem from people talking too much and it being "too loud," so I honestly feel like he would be the best at understanding when someone is overwhelmed. So he'd probably be very careful with Jack and mentally list anything that could overstimulate him easily, to help avoid those things. It seems to me like Kevin was mainly a "problem child" because people punished rather than understood him, and maybe he wasn't always so angry/violent, and wants to protect Jack from the same fate.

Matthew and Jack are just a classic big brother little brother duo. Jack always running to him and sometimes Kevin (which he tries to less in worry of bothering him) for comfort. He might accidentally treat him more like a father figure than a brother which I could see stressing out Matthew a lot on accident.

The three of them together are just brothers who care for each other very much. I think sometimes they'd try and hide this from the player because of the lingering fear of once you show attachment, an adult will punish you with it. But they'd overall just stay very close together, not wanting to let each other out of their sight. Scared something would happen to the others if they're not there:(

Jack and Kissy would be adorable siblings I think. Both of them, while not intentionally trying to do so, would probably cause messes. Jack would get overexcited and encourage something like making a tower out of glass cups and neither of them would realize the risk until it falls and breaks. Kissy would carry him around a lot I think, and enjoy tossing a ball between them or trying to draw together.

Kevin and Kissy would probably be the good old "make my sister cry and your funeral won't be open casket" vs "hi this is my very cool brother isn't he the sweetest?:]" I don't think they'd hang out a ton but they'd probably check in on each other a lot. Make a lot of gifts for each other too. Kissy is probably more observant from being unable to speak and more able to listen, so I imagine she'd pick up quickly on Kevin's aversion to loud noises and ask the player if they had anything noise canceling to help him. Kevin would find a shiny rock or bracelet and bring it back to her.

Matthew and Kissy I can't think of a specific dynamic for. Just that they're close siblings, and Matthew is usually the one to help Kissy feel better when she's upset. They both seem to be characters that would sacrifice themselves easily so maybe they'd help balance each other out from that like "your worth doesn't come from how well you can protect them."

All four of them are literally just the best of siblings okay. I love them so much. They call care for each other so deeply and just want a world where the others are happy.

The player and Kissy would bond the quickest in terms of family dynamics. I imagine the player, regardless of gender ofc, would like dressing up with her in jewelry and skirts and stuff. Finding clothes that fit her might be hard, but skirts and bows seem to make her happy. One of the missed parts of her childhood the player is giving back. Maybe someone would somehow see Kissy and run away screaming, to which the player is just, "EXCUSE ME?? That is my DAUGHTER/SISTER/NIECE and she is BEAUTIFUL and deserves THE WORLD. FUCK YOU."

The Player and Matthew might have an oddly strained relationship at first. Matthew would treat it sort of like a business arrangement, or a deal. He keeps the others in line and does what the player says, and the player protects them all in exchange. They can't exactly go outside looking as they are. Once he notices the player taking on "his" role more, he might feel kind of worthless and kind of just sit in a corner for a day or two wondering why he's even needed. I think eventually he'd come to realize the player loves and sees him as family, having trouble accepting it and feeling selfish for wanting that. Wondering if people who let their families die deserved more family. It would be slow, but maybe one day he could understand he's a kid too, and deserves to be one.

Kevin would most certainly resent The Player for a long time, being the very last to have any faith in them. I feel like he'd given up on adults being good or understanding a long time ago. I think it would take months and months, and something like him getting sick before he slips up with a thought or word and realizes he has begun to trust them. This would undo pretty much all progress for a little bit, at least until the player manages to work it out with him and explain that as hard as it is, and as dumb as it may feel, he needs an adult to trust. Once, after a very, very long time, he finally somewhat accepts he cares for The Player, I think he'd get accidentally clingy. Upset when they leave and assuming the worst still, like they won't come back for him. Would watch them from corners and stuff a lot. I think he probably expresses love through directing his rage away from a person and instead towards whatever could hurt them. Maybe The Player would try and learn a sport for him considering he was mentioned to be physically active and would probably like them. Mostly I think what Kevin would need out of their dynamic is validation that he is enough, more than a simple "problem child," and perfect the way he is.

Jack might be the second quickest to bond with The Player in a family way. I think he wouldn't notice himself trusting them or viewing them as family until he slips up and accidentally calls them something like dad, sister, uncle, etc. In the case he sees them parentally I think he might feel like he's betraying his dead parents. In any other case it might be slightly easier for him to accept, but his fear of adults would get in the way a lot.

A very, very traumatized and confused family, but a family none the less. I think they'll be okay:]

Sick Ideas

Jack - I feel like he'd be very out it. Constantly mumbling about wanting his parents and talking about how sorry he is. Depending on the severity might begin to think he's back in the labs and think the player is trying to hurt him:c Kissy would probably spend most of her time letting him sleep on her until he got better. Matthew and Kevin, after so many losses, would probably both be so on edge and terrified of losing him.

Matthew - I think this scenario goes for any of them, I just feel like if he got sick it would be under a combo of self resentment, stress, and actual illness, so he would need the most help. The Player would end up having to seek out a doctor at some point, because they can only do so much. Since they all have medical trauma he'd probably beg and beg not to see a doctor, not to be torn apart and opened up again. I think that might push him to actively seek the player for comfort, because he's so terrified of what a doctor might do to him. Matthew would also deny himself as being sick for as long as he possible could, probably until the point of passing out.

Kevin - Like Matthew, he'd probably firmly deny being sick, and do so until the point of passing out. The difference is they'd force Matthew into a bed to pass out in, Kevin would basically go missing, hiding himself in a room and being found on the floor. The idea of being babied or cared for likely disgusts him, since so much resentment had built up around that stuff. I think at some more horrible point in the sickness, he'd accidentally say something like "[mom/dad/uncle/sister etc], it hurts so much. Help." And then get really salty about saying that out loud.

Kissy - Definitely would be the most willing to seek out help, but also suffer from medical trauma and refuse to take medicine. Would probably be very clingy and hugging a pillow the whole time.

The Player - Absolutely in denial that they're sick until the kids are forced to get a neighbor or somebody to come help. All of them would probably be living with the fear of losing The Player, staying close to them at all times and just hoping they'll get better soon. I imagine The Player might also feel immense guilt for being sick, because the kids would have to take care of themselves a lot more while they recovered.

For the Lil' Doey AU, I don't recall if I ever asked this, but would the Doey Brothers ever see the player as a parent of sorts?

I think it depends. It's kinda whatever anybody wants. I'm trying to leave it up to interpretation, with the only 100% thing about the family dynamic being that they are all a family. So if somebody wanted to percieve the player in this AU as an uncle, aunt, dad, mom, sibling, etc they could use any of those:]

I do have some sketches of them being happy somewhere but i can't finish or post those until this weekend probably. Catching up on a lot of stuff tomorrow so I can't focus on this AU I fear. I have even more sketches of them being sad though😎

Imagine if I drew that one scene I have in the WIP fic of Jack crying because he thinks the player is mad at him and going to punish him... imagine if I had a sketch for that sitting somewhere:3 imagine if tears fueled my power. (Next art post should be fluffy though!! Trust)

Info for my Lil' Doey AU

I don't know how much I'll do for this, I honestly wasn't planning on continuing it initially, but I want to now:] I've got at least one more art piece in the works^^

Could anyone tell me what color each kid is? Q-Q I've seen so many people putting Jack as yellow, but I could've sworn he was wearing an orange shirt when he fell in. Until I figure it out in the future I'll make Jack yellow and Matthew orange.

What is this AU?

How they meet

The lil' Doey/Small Doey AU is one where, with every bit of denial I could put into it, Doey is still alive. Instead of dying, he split into the 3 children used to make him. This leads to the player finding and trying to take care of them all while looking for a way out.

Technically 2 versions of this AU, or rather two separates arcs of it I focus on separately. One where they're surviving in the factory, and another where they escaped and Kissy and the Lil' Doey's all live with the player afterwards.

The player will have hid from Huggy for about a week I think? Which is a long time, but my excuse is the prototype enjoys the hunt too much and Poppy managed to evade him for long enough that the player wasn't a main focus.

Jack will have been secretly sneaking the player food and such, too afraid to get close.

The player would meet Matthew after being rescued by him from Huggy. He would kind of apologize, telling them they could punish him for what happened if needed, but that the other 2 don't deserve to be out there alone.

They'd meet Jack after putting the clues together he'd been leaving the food around. The poor thing would be incredibly scared, but calm down a lot upon seeing Matthew.

Kissy would find them after a bit of exploring and looking for Kevin, because how could she not be part of this family? Still needs a lot of medical attention, but would be very relieved to see you and not be alone.

Kevin would be found in a very damaged looking room, where it looks like he'd been throwing stuff around in an angry/scared tantrum. Wouldn't want to go with the player, and insist you should want to kill him.

Additional lore/ideas

Matthew would have a hard time accepting the player as a guardian figure, not understanding how to be taken care of rather than take care of. He'd have a hard time being reminded he's still a kid, that he's enough, and did his best.

Jack would be struck with the realization of what he did to his parents. Without the memories of the other two kind of mudding up what happened, he'd fully understand, having a hard time not hating himself for it.

Kevin would try so hard to hate the player and struggle so much with being cared for, appreciated, and not lied to. He would help you if it came down to it, but wouldn't want to admit he's almost comfortable.

Kissy wouldn't really know what to do, because without Poppy, trust would be hard. But I think she'd like feeling part of a family again, and not being relied on so much like she was by Poppy.

I don't know if it's canon but I hc the toys have little to no memories of who they were before, and barely understand who they are now, so the player would probably have to tell them what they know about their lives before:(

As for if they'd make it out or not... uhh, you can decide!:) I'd really only focus on their story while still trying to escape, maybe doodle a concept or two on if they'd made it out as a family. But as for now I've got no idea on if they would or not.

I've since started more focusing on the idea of them escaping. I find it an easier setting to work with. Will still post ideas of them still in the factory from time to time, but I do enjoy their family dynamic after getting out.

Since the Lil Doeys are still clay, I'd imagine that when Kevin misbehaves, Matthew would fuse one of their arms together like one of those makeshift kiddie leash just to keep an eye on him...

But the question is, do they still have their clay-powers, or have they reverted to a "too young" state of mind that they have to relearn it (like stretching and walking through grates)?

I love that that's perfect. Can't hold him back from within the same body anymore, so, makeshift leash, go! Just barely holding him back from beating up the player(/silly).

Their powers probably wouldn't change much, but I do think because of the whole ice incident that too much stretching around would be painful/difficult. The leash thing you mentioned would likely be fine as it wouldn't take much effort, but fitting through things like tiny wall cracks would probably be really hard. Makes me think of a scenario where one of them gets scared and tries to run off by squeezing through something, but it just hurts a lot:(
