Lil Hater Au Prequel Blurb:

Leo stormed through the lair, trying his hardest not to look incredibly worried. He rushed past the living room, a sound of general confusion following him. He didn't bother looking back, he thinks by how deep the voice was it must have been Raph. 

He didn't have time to stop and he didn't have time to explain. He hurried to his room, huffing at the effort it took to slide his doors open. He needed to make a mental note to ask Donnie to oil it. Or he could himself. Whatever, he probably wouldn't remember regardless. 

Leo leaned his crutches against the wall and hurried to pull his gear on. Wraps, pants, belt, knee brace. 

He struggled with the second one, but ultimately decided to wear it. He planned to be fighting, whether it was his friend or someone else, and he'd need the support.

Leo fumbled with the cool metal of his battle shell, cursing under his breath at all the time he was wasting. He needed to hurry! He wasn't gonna make it if he didn't hurry! He quickly pressed the button to adjust the pressure and did a little stretch to test it. Perfect as always. 

One sword was slotted into the holster on His back, the other held tight as he hurriedly reached for his crutches. 

He spotted Raph poking his head in the door just as he opened a portal, shooting his older brother a (hopefully) reassuring smile before stepping inside. 

He winced at the high pitched ring of electricity that always accompanied it, his cochlear quickly readjusting as he was transported to the back room of Run of the Mill. 

It was quiet back here, the voices of patrons far enough away that even he couldn't hear it. And just as he thought, Yuichi was standing with his hand on the back door’s handle. 

He had quickly turner at Leo’s arrival, a knowing scowl already on his face. 

“ Leo, I told you not to bother,” He huffed, turning to face him fully, “ nothing you say is gonna stop me.” 

Leo gave him a once-over. Yuichi was in his old Nexus gear, though it didn't seem to fit him well anymore. In personality or in size. 

“ What you're doing is idiotic. What if you take another hit to the head? Or you have a seizure?” Leo started, slotting his sword into its holster, “ you think those guys in the arena are gonna wait and make sure you're okay?”

Yuichi didn't answer, grimacing. He didn't meet Leo's eyes, hunching in on himself further. 

Leo swallowed. The thought of it had him tossing and turning most nights, new nightmares adding to an already startling collection. He didnt want to say it in case it became a reality. 

But how was he gonna get it through this fluffbrain's thick skull if he didn't voice It?

“ They'all kill you, Yuichi…” 

The words felt like glue in his mouth, sticking badly to his teeth. Like Leo was sentencing his friend to death with just that statement. 

“They won't! I'm… I'm not weak, Leo!” Yuichi fired back, letting out a sigh and letting his hands dall to his sides, fists clenching. 

He stood up a little straighter, eyes meeting Leo's for the first time since he'd gotten here. 

“ I have to do this. She has my sword, and I have no intention of letting her get away with keeping it for another day longer,” 

He turned to leave, Leo stumbling forward to reach out and grab his arm. It stopped him for a moment, and Leo seized the opportunity to squeeze a little tighter. 

“ Yui, come on, you're not this stupid. You know she won't give it up without a fight, “ He started. He never understood why Yuichi was always so serious about getting the sword back. Leo understood more than anyone about how it felt to lose a precious weapon, but it had never been worth his life. It had never meant making such a dogshit deal with the devil herself. 

“ Leo, let me go…” 

Yuichi pulled weakly at his arm, but Leo pulled him back a little, letting out a weak laugh. 

He was getting desperate. 

“ its just a sword, Cottontail! We can get another-”

Yuichi ripped his arm from Leo's grasp, the slider stumbling forward to catch himself at the sudden balance shift. 

Yuichi's face was shattered, tears threatening to spill and cheeks flush with anger. He bared his teeth for a second, words choked out UB angry hiss. 

“ it's not just a sword, Leo!” 

He let out a shuddery breath and quickly wiped his eyes, hand on the door handle again. 

“ you don't understand! I have to do this, I have to be the one to do this!” He opened the door, the roar of a crowd and the bright lights of the battle nexus arena suddenly flooding the dark, quiet backroom.with light and sound. 

Leo flinched at the adjustment in his tympana and grimaced, “ at least me me help you! I'm- I can help you!” 

“ NO!” Yuichi didn't even turn to look at him, “ I have to do this alone!” 

He stepped through the door, leaving it open behind him as he started through the long corridor leading out to the arena.  

Leo could only watch, heart in his throat. Whether that was because of the thudding of the arena past the door or because he as fucking terrified, he didn't know. He trued one last time, leaning and shouting through the door. 

“ YOU’RE GONNA DIE OUT THERE!” 

and in the last second before the door shut itself, he saw Yuichu turn with such a fearful look and lock eyes with him. 

He was scared. And Leo couldn't help him in the slightest.

“and you know what he said?” oikawa grasps your shoulders, eyes wide and serious as if he was about to tell you the juiciest tea to ever exist in the whole wide world.

you had just finished tutoring takeru when oikawa stopped you on your way out the door and trapped you to sit with him on the couch.

“no i don’t, oikawa-san," you say monotonously.

“he had the audacity to tell the teacher it’s unfair that i get high grades even though i’m excused a lot because of my shoots and volleyball," oikawa lets go of your shoulders to dramatically lean back on the couch.

“don’t you get almost perfect test scores?” you raise your brows, remembering that oikawa was a top student at your previous school, you could only assume that he's still the same in high school.

“exactly!” he says exasperatedly.

“that’s annoying," you agree.

“i know.”

“well, you know you’re better than that guy, so it’s alright," you shrug.

“you think i’m great?” oikawa smirks.

“that’s not what i said," you fiddle with your fingers, starting to get nervous. you do not still have a crush on him.

“it’s what you’re practically saying," oikawa’s annoying smirk is still in place

“don’t twist my words!" you whine.

“haha you really are adorable [name]-chan~” he raises an arm and ruffles your head.

“get away from me!” you push his hand away.

“you know you enjoy my attention~” oikawa teases more, to show your extra annoyance, you pinch his hand.

you narrow your eyes at him before standing up, “don’t talk to me.”

“oh come on don’t be like that [name]-chan, you know you secretly like that we have these conversations," oikawa tales a hold of your wrist to pull you back down.

you scowl down at him while he keeps on his stupid smile, “i do not!”

“so you won’t listen the next time i rant to you?” oikawa makes a pretend frown on his face, he pairs it with puppy dog eyes that honestly disgusts you with how you find it cute on him.

“i.. i uhm," you stutter at the sight of him, you really were weak to his charms, "of course i’d listen,” you mumble, turning away, “you have a nice voice, so it’s tolerable,” you pull on your hand that was still in his and cross your arms.

oikawa grins wide, biting his lower lip, ears a little red, “i knew you really liked me!”

🏅 What is something you recently felt proud of in regard to your writing (finished a fic, actually planned for once, etc).

Honestly, every time I manage to finish a chapter of BitB I feel so accomplished that I take a week off thinking about it lmao. Multichapters always take it out of me, it's not my thing and I try very hard to not let that one fic take over my fandom presence... hence why I tend to get hella distracted writing drabbles or one-shots haha.

🌝 Who is one character you haven’t yet written for that you would like to?

This might be very obvious but, Dream! He's just so difficult for me to figure out and Hob is so blessedly easy because of his ambiguity. Dream by contrast is like a recipe for a complicated pastry that must be followed exactly to reach the desired outcome ^^;

🧠 What’s an idea you have that you can’t quite call a WIP yet?

Hob is a professional chef and Dream is the snobby food critic who comes into his restaurant and (verbally) shits all over his food. A meet ugly. idk when I'll ever get to this, I have nothing written out, only the idea haha

🌈 What inspired you to write Bolt in the Blue?

A tumblr post! I really wish I had saved it... it was like, way before I finally wrote the first chapter. I think the OPs idea was more like, Hob either being a hater, or just straight up not a fan who was dragged to a show and fell in love with Dream in the crowd? (kinda like @landwriter's Twitter Beef AU lmao but the only similarities are Hob being a lil hater who gets diss tracks pfft). Basically it just wanted a band AU and for a month I was like, "yeah, me too." and then I wrote the first chapter without any real desire to continue it... but then I met my beta reader and we just kept shouting ideas at each other and I was like, well fuck. Now I havta make it longerrrr).

Pretty much everything up to the end of Shippuden pretty much remained canon, though I had dropped Naruto at some point so there’s huge chunks of the story I don’t know, and I’ve had people fill me in--so secondhand story is just about as effective as a game of telephone. Anyway, directly the end of Naruto, before he leaves Konoha on his ‘redemption journey’ is when it starts getting divergent. It definitely is whenever he returns to Konoha.

If you want a muse that isn’t constant slice of life or vanilla(which isn’t a bad thing! I enjoy those things too!), if you’re looking to explore someone who’s been betrayed and oppressed by the village and his only friend, you’ve found him. Like delving into sad topics and threads that can pull at your heartstrings? I’m totally into that and would be glad to thread with you.

He’s harsh and blunt. Contains themes of alcohol abuse. He won’t be afraid to insult your muse, even if he’s trying to be ‘a better man’, if that’s not for you, I’d advise not following.

What inspired you to RP your muse?  

The end of Naruto completely rubbed me the wrong way. No mention of any changes in the system. I created the blog out of sheer spite and loathing for the ending, and my opinion has not changed in the least.

What keeps your inspiration going?

Honestly, my inspiration has been waning, but that’s all irl stuff. It also doesn’t help that most of the Naruto rpers I was following are disappearing. But, I just gotta start thinking about Sasuke, about his past, his motivations, the things he’s gone through. If I have a daily reminder of that, it usually helps.

Yes! It helps me get to know my muse better and flesh out his world more, lets me get into writing his voice in a more defined way. So I’m always accepting questions, even if they seem to be mundane and ordinary!

Headcanons are opinions. Headcanons are easy to ignore. People will think differently, and that’s completely normal and okay! As long as no one’s trying to pass headcanons off as canon, then everything’s peachy!

If someone disagrees with your portrayal, how would you take it?

Just unfollow me then. I wouldn’t see why they’d want to follow if they think I’m portraying my divergence wrong.

If someone really hates your character, how do you take it?

Oh I know there’re plenty of Sasuke haters out there. I’ve seen complete hate groups for him, come across a few irl and on other sites. I’d say I’m numb to it by now, but that’d kinda be a lie? I’m used to it, but I’ve also learned to keep scrolling.

Are you okay with people pointing out your grammatical errors?

Not exactly? I mean yeah, it’d help me improve my writing, but I guess it depends on how they tell me. I’m already aware of a few grammatical errors I tend to make: switching tenses...I also tend to use fragmented sentences a lot. Though that one might be more stylistic writing? idk man.

Do you think you are easy going as a mun?

I’d like to think so! Though I’ve had people tell me I’m intimidating...I swear guys, I’m pretty chill. People have told me(after we finally start talking) that I’m pretty friendly!

What are some of your top headcanons/fic prompts for your favorite bangtan ships? I'm curious!

HHHHH ok I’m so !!!!!! you asked me this question friend - just - sorry this took such a long time, also sometimes I don’t know the difference between a prompt and a headcannon and a drabble(?), this could be just a lot of word barf but are scenarios I think about sometimes (mostly Yoonjin because I’m Yoonjin trash through and through)

1. Jin practicing yoga on the REG (gotta keep up that flexibility / stay relaxed / has videos always rolls out of bed and does it first thing in the morning in the living room before anybody else wakes up).  Sometimes Yoongi would come out and watch him, curled into a blanket on the couch half dozing off, until the one day he did it too many times in a row and Jin made him join him and Yoongi almost got stuck in a prayer twist.  JIN MAKES IT LOOK SO EASY THO.  ALL DEEP BREATHING AND SERENE. and in his hello kitty boy shorts and tank top...

2. Yoonjin with fighty drunk Jin /sappy drunk Yoongles  - Jin being a fighty sort of belligerent mouthy drunk, always ready to cause a ruckus, loves yelling around,  meanwhile Yoongi being a soft emotional sort of weepy drunk that wants to talk about the first time he was at this bar and his feelings from then until now in a perfect arc.  

3. I will never let go of the Shit Chart Jin headcanon no not never ever.

4.  Also how about Jin being super good at puppetry of the penis, usually has to be tipsy (stage before fighty) to want to bring this out but has made long video shoots go by a bit quicker, especially when they’re all stuck in some random back room somewhere waiting for different scenes...

5. JIn getting so fucking fed up at being given shit for his cooking he threw a whole pot of Kimchi Stew out in the street ‘IF YOU’RE SUDDENLY SO HUNGRY GO LICK IT OUT OF THE PAVEMENT JIMIN.’

6. Jin and Hope have monthly spa days where they go get waxed and pampered and sometimes do colonics, which does lead us to SeokJIn Fill Bragging (basically bragging that his colon can hold more when he’s getting his cleanse than HOpe’s) but mostly it’s lots of shit talking and mimosas and hot rocks massages.  

7. Weed Dealer Jin AU where JIn is the best fucking weed dealer ever on the planet, has everything in these adorable lil mini jars with handwritten lil labels, also makes edibles, the only weed dealer ever in the universe that you want to go to their house but rarely are able (does deliveries) the one time you get to go over to weed dealer Jin’s house it’s an adorable little cottage and he’s just finishing a pie (non thc infused) for a community potluck and he smokes you out on this adorable lil glass bong and makes u a tiny tart out of the pie crust scraps (TO GO!!!) along with your quarter of cheezel, half of northern lights, and 4 brownies all in a cute lil ‘to go’ container.  

8. Jin being a beekeeper,  Yoongi being allergic to bees.  

9. Along those same lines, a historical AU where Jin is a farmer type, plain and hardworking, and Yoongi is the new schoolteacher that came from Back East to teach the school children and thinks everybody is an intolerable hick until he meets Jin while they both are sneaking away from a town social and Jin persuades Yoongi to accompany him while he’s fishing ‘you can just take a nap in the grass, nobody will ever find us’ and they start to talk - maybe because Yoongi’s interested Jin can tell what direction they are headed by moss on a tree or something, and yep. 

10. Yoongi being forced to go to the gym and hating everything he tries until he tries water aerobics with a group of older folks and fucking loves it, starts going to class twice weekly, tries to lie his way out of it but he keeps coming home DAMP and Jin so notices and has to know what’s up. 

11. Sort of based around this (a bit) adult swimming lessons with Yoongi learning and Jin as the instructor.  

12. Also how about a personal trainer au with Jin as Yoongi’s personal trainer, maybe a hate to love (Jin introducing Yoongi to Kale and to Burpees / thinking JIn looks soft until he does some crazy pushup shit Yoongi can’t even wrap his mind around).  

13.  Puppeteer Jin / Puppet Hater Yoongi.  

14. Jin Loves HIs Dog / Jin Loves Yoongi / Yoongi Hates jin’s Dog / Jin’s Dog Hates Yoongi - guess who gets to pet sit!!! (new boyfriend / pet sitter AU).
