While I am extremely baffled that anyone out there gave enough of a shit about my untagged post to like, tell me that spock is straight in my inbox (lol???), I'll give you the benefit of the doubt enough to clarify what I meant:

I know that Spock has never been intentionally written as gay by any star trek writer. When I said they were making him straight I mostly just meant that they added in like an extended romance plotline with nurse Chapel (as far as I can tell) and I have zero interest in that.

Also tbh every new star trek adaptation IS making an active choice to make Spock straight at this point--we're in a time and with a history of star trek fan interpretation where they definitely could have Spock be gay and are choosing not to, and I think that's a stupid choice.

But also. I must say. Spock is gay. I know the truth in my heart of hearts and that man is literally gay he told me himself. Spock is gay
