Jude was sure that the muscle on his wrist had gotten stronger in the span of three days. He moved to check his phone again for the hundredth time that day. The whole situation feels like a thirteen year old boy waiting for his girlfriend to reply to his text.
The only difference is that he’s twenty one years old, and his ‘girlfriend’ is not actually his girlfriend.
His gloomy mood attracted his assistant who was off clicking the keyboard computer.
“Whose text are you waiting for?” they asked, immediately bringing him out of his little pity party.
His heart stuttered, “No one.” he replies, shaking his head, before tucking the phone away into his pocket.
A skeptical look was thrown, “Yeah, sure.”
Jude took a minute before he relented, “She’s…someone.” he sighed, not really in the mood to throw up his gut to his assistant.
He ran his hands through his hair down to his face, frustrated.
They were sure this ‘someone’ was not just anyone, “The same ‘someone’ who had you giggling and kicking your feet last week?” his assistant smirked, noticing the little smile that Jude always wears every single time he stares at his phone.
But not in the last few days.
Recently, he has been more sad when he stares at his phone.
Heat trailed from the back of his neck to his cheeks, “I was not giggling and kicking my feet.” tummy twisting with nerves.
“Oh, you so were. She has you wrapped around her fingers, Bellingham.” the keyboard clicking stopped, as a teasing smirk was sent his way.
Jude’s heart made a backflip–oh she definitely does– “She’s just.. special. And I really really like her.” his cheeks heating up more as your pretty face fresh flashes in his mind.
“So? Why don't you ask her out on a date?”
He sighed, “I would, but she’s ghosting me.”
“Someone ghosted THE Jude Bellingham? Damn, your ego must be hurt.” they laughed.
Jude took a deep breath, “It's not about my ego, I just–” he paused, “I thought we were going somewhere, I like her and I thought that she liked me but I guess...” his voice trailing out as sadness coats his words.
His assistant noticed how Jude’s head dropped in disappointment, immediately feeling bad for him, and an idea lightbulb immediately went off, “Go to her place then.”
“What?”
The assistant shrugged their shoulders, “Go to her place. Ask her out.”
He coughed out, “She doesn’t wanna see me.”
“Ask her face to face, get confirmation. If she really doesn’t wanna see you then, fine. But try at least! Fight for her!” their encouragement send Jude into a full dedicated state. Already having a full plan in his head.
˚ʚ♡ɞ˚
Screen lights from the tv illuminated your already dark room with a movie playing in the background. You really should be asleep right now. But your mind was too cloudy with a certain, seriously attractive, very sweet and nice footballer.
What did you think was gonna happen?
Getting into a friends-with-benefits with someone you harboured a big fat crush on was not the brightest idea.
Jude is a bigshot footballer, everyones’ starboy, all he needs to do is smile and all girls fall to his feet (including you). The strategy of pushing him away was pretty solid, considering that he might not even notice that you haven’t been replying to his texts.
He probably has hundreds of girls on his phone anyways.
Not that you care, he can do whatever he wants, he’s not your boyfriend.
Not your boyfriend.
Then why does it still bother you?
A sudden knock, broke you out of your spiralling session, shooting your heart rate up. Who knocks at 2 in the morning?
A buzz from your phone alerted you.
bellingham :)
I’m outside your apartment
I need to talk to you
You contemplated opening the door, what do you even say to him? Another knock.
Another buzz.
bellingham :)
Please.
The door swung open and Jude was met with the sight of you, with tired eyes and a scowl on your face. You don't look too happy seeing him, and he doesn't blame you.
“Are you insane?! What do you want, Jude? It’s two in the morning!” you huffed out, taking his wrist and pulling him inside. You do not want to get a complaint from your old cranky neighbours.
Both of your hands tingle the second it touches, fingers twitching as you hope the other doesn't notice. You move to pause the movie, hands gravitating towards the blanket on your couch before draping it around your shoulders. Trying to cover up your well-loved worn pyjamas.
You look like a mess.
Jude’s hand sweats in his pockets, his heart was pounding after finally being in your presence. With your messy hair, pretty droopy eyes, paired with your profile being highlighted by the tv. His heart rate shoots up when your eyes meet his.
You look really pretty.
Focus, Bellingham!
He awkwardly coughs, trying to cut the thick tension in the room, “You still watching that show?” he voiced out, hand gesturing to the tv behind you.
It was a show recommendation from him. You had made fun of it at first, but then the plot was too good to be ignored, you needed to know how it ends.
You shrugged your shoulders, “Yeah, I was curious.” voice small as your hands tightened around the blanket, bringing comfort to you.
A beat of awkward silence went on.
And Jude has had enough of it and decided to go for it, head first, no thoughts.
"Why are you ignoring me?" he finally said, saddened brown eyes met yours. You can feel your defence chip away the more you look at him.
You avert your eyes immediately, trying to formulate words, "I'm busy."
"That you ghosted me for three days straight?" he scoffed.
"Jude-"
"I don't think you understand how much you’re in my head." his voice shook, heart trembling in his chest, “I wake up and my first thought is to check if you have texted me back and you know how embarrassing it is to not see anything?"
You scoffed, “So this is about your ego?”
“No! I didn’t say that–“
Another scoff, "Jude don’t lie, you get messages every single day. Your notifications are always flooded! Don’t act like I’m suddenly special!” you rolled your eyes, lungs burning with anger.
His face contorted into confusion before turning into hurt, “Did I give you that impression? That I don't care because you’re not special?” Jude’s voice cracked, maybe it was your head playing tricks but you swore his eyes were glossy with tears.
Anymore second looking at him than you might just break.
“Jude-” you started.
“Because I do! I’ll buy you more flowers, pick up your favourite coffee, watch those reality shows that you love so much, we can have a picnic or even a fancy dinner!” he rambled, hands animated as his feet started to move towards you, eyes pleading. “I really want this to work. I want to be in your life, as your boyfriend.”
The distance between two got so small that you can feel his warm breath hitting your lips, sending a shiver down your spine.
He smells like mint.
Did he chew one before he got here?
The call of your name hits your ears, his voice soft and sweet. You really like how he says your name. You miss it. You like him. You miss him.
“Please say something.” Jude whispered, eyes involuntarily dropping to your lips, cheeks warming under his gaze.
“I really really like you.” you softly said, nothing but a whisper but it sends just into cloud nine.
His eyes shined, mouth already opening to say something before you cut him off.
“But-“
His heart dropped.
“But?”
“Jude, you can literally have anyone you want in the world!” you raised your voice. Tears pricking at the edge of your eyes. Why does he have to be so complicated? Why won’t he understand that you will never be enough for him?
By now, he can have a general sense on why you ghosted him. You have been insecure and worried ever since this little relationship started. Jude partly understands it, his popularity is intense and the media is poking at every nook and cranny of his life. Judging at the littlest things he does.
But he also doesn’t understand because-
“But, I want you! Don’t want anyone else!” he exclaimed, big calloused hands move to the sides of your face, thumb softly running on your cheeks. “I want you.” he added, softly pressing a kiss at the apple of both of your cheeks.
A lovesick smile broke out on your face before you can even control yourself. “I want you too.”
Jude eyes twinkled at the sight. His heart elevates in the process. Was this a dream?
“Pinch me.” he snickered.
Your hands move around his waist to pinch his skin, “Dork.” you giggled, his smile getting wider at the sound.
A comforting silence blankets over you both. Smitten eyes staring at each other with heavy yearning. Hearts fully enamoured with the other.
A soft kiss was planted on your lips, tender and gentle as his hands moved to the back of your neck, pulling you closer. He can’t get enough of you.
Your whole body was on fire. It has been so long since you both got together.
“Jude-“
“Mhm.” he hummed, lips still pressing against yours. His hands wander to wrap around your waist. It feels like he wants to eat you whole.
He definitely does.
You carefully pull away, chuckling at the small whine that leaves him as he chases you again, “It’s late.” you affectionately scolded.
“Let’s go to sleep then.”
“Together?” you teased.
“Yes, please.”
Well, how can you say no to that?

A hilarious idea I had after thinking about multiple nature documentaries…
How funny it would go between a human woman and a male monster, whose species 99% of the time get eaten by the females after they reproduce.
Scenario #1-
*Monster and human have finished having sex*
Monster: *Immediately jumps off the bed, and runs out the door*
Woman: *Shocked expression* “Was I that bad to be around?”
Scenario #2-
*Monster and human are finishing having sex, human woman kisses monster passionately during climax*
Monster: *Accepts fate that they’re being “eaten” by the woman*
Woman: “Are you ok?”
Monster: “Dine upon my flesh to nourish our future offspring.”
I was inspired after remembering insects like Praying Mantis, and sea creatures like Octopus. Imagine being in a relationship with a monster man who thinks he’s going to die when you have sex with him!
I'm screaming! It's so funny!
Scenario #1-
Imagine the paranoia the poor monster goes through after leaving you so abruptly. He can't help but look over his shoulder every now and again to make sure you don't go after him to hunt him down. He is so scared!
And there is a night when he hangs out with his friends, and they are worried about him, and he admits that he had sex. The others feel so sorry for him and offer him help to get out of the town/city. They are so deep in their escape plan they don't notice their other friend's arrival. "So what's up?" "He had sex. Now we try to help him escape." "Humans don't eat their partners," the friend says, shocked at the thought. "Or if they do, they go to prison." The monster is shocked by the news and, oh, so relieved. "Oh. Should I call her back then?"
Scenario #2-
"I-I won't eat you! What the hell?!" Saying that you two are shocked is an understatement. "What?" The monster asks, still lying on the bed, ready to face his fate. "I won't eat you!" "You won't? So we can do this again?"
You have two options here: you can freak out and send him away ooooor you can take it as a compliment. He wanted to have sex with you so much he was ready to die for it.
An extra scenario
It's before the sex. You two have been dating for months now, but things never go further than a few passionate kisses every now and again.
And you are at your wits's end.
"What's wrong?" You ask him one night. You are at your place, having a movie night on the couch. "What do you mean?" You scowl at him. "You know what I mean," you tell him. "Look, if you want to wait, I understand, but you have to tell me something." The monster looks awkward and... scared? "What? Do you not find me attractive?" You ask him, worried. "Or there is someone else? Please, don't tell me you are married!" "No! No! No!" He gasps, surprised by your assumptions. "I just..." "Yes?" "I don't want you to eat me afterward!" "WHAT?!"

Steal My Thunder (T.Owens)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Tyler Owens x female reader, Tyler Owens x shy!reader, Tyler Owens x insecure!reader
Word Count: 462
A/N: Welcome to my first Tyler Owens fic! I was throwing fic ideas around before I even saw the movie. I watched several interviews and other stuff on YouTube and took notes even. Then after seeing it the third time, I started working on this story. I don't anticipate this being a real long story, but I also will be a little slow to update because of work or writer's block or working on a crochet project I really need to finish. What I'm really saying is please be patient with me. Secondly, like in my other works, I'd planned to make this with a plus size!reader in mind, but I decided to go with insecure because I want to try and be a little more inclusive. Also, unless otherwise stated, my readers are always female readers. Lastly, I'm already working on Chapter 1, so keep an eye out for that. However, if you really like this, please let me know and I can tag you in future updates. And as always, I will be crossposting this to AO3. If you see this story anywhere besides AO3 or Tumblr, it's stolen Kthxbye! PS: Thanks to KJ & Jordyn for their help in beta-ing and title/chapter ideas! Love y'all!
Prologue
You were a Lead Meteorologist for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.  You should not be handling school age tour groups.  You were just about DONE with being treated like a secretary.  The rest of them thought that just because Kate was gone that they could go back to treating you like they did before her.
You were quiet, shy, and someone whose love language was acts of service, so you loved to help people out.  The problem was that your co-workers abused that part of you.  They asked to lead the school groups, bring everyone coffee, put together packets for meetings, etc.  Complete nonsense…and you were done.
It was then, as you mentally typed up your resignation, that you received a serendipitous call from Kate herself.
“I believe the sayin’ is ‘No man left behind’.”
“You’re not an US Army Ranger, B.”
“Yeah, well…”  You trailed off, not wanting to burden your friend with your issues.  Kate always told you that it was okay to talk to her when you needed someone, but you were stubborn.  You were very much of the ‘friends aren’t therapists’ mindset.
“Talk to me B.”
“I’m happy for you, ya know?  You’re back to doing’ something I know you loved.  I can see it in your eyes with each video or stream I watch.”
“Okay, keep your secrets…and thank you.  I am happy.”
“So…what can I do for ya?  Why are you botherin’ me on my lunch hour?”
“Damn!  Sorry about that B.”
“You know I don’t actually care.  Tell me what’s up.”
“I’m callin’ with a job off-”
“I’ll take it.”
“Woah, I haven’t even said what it-”
“I don’t care.  Ever since you left, and because I’m a huge push over, everyone’s been walking all over me.  You know I had to do three tours today?”
“We’ve talked about this.”
“I know Kate.  Just…what’s the job anyway?”  Your friend was silent for a moment, before you heard her exhale.
“It’s storm data analysis really.”
“Elaborate.”
“We’re trying to really get down to the nitty gritty with the data from the EF-5 we got to dissipate last season and see where to improve, how to catalog it in our info database, etc.”
“I’m in”, you said.  “Y’all won’t treat me like some secretary, I’ll be close to home again, and I’ll get to spend all my time with you.”
“We most definitely will not treat you like some secretary.  We’re equal opportunity storm chasers out here.”
You tossed your empty sandwich bag into the trash and pulled up Word to start drafting your resignation letter.
“Say, what are the benefits as a Tornado Wrangler?”  Before Kate could reply, you heard Boonie baby! Woo! in the background.
With that enthusiasm, what could possibly go wrong?

"Dropping off another one, Miss L/N?"
You gave the man at the security desk a stiff nod and an equally stiff smile, "Yep! I just don’t know where they keep coming from." You answered sarcastically as the witch you brought in was taken to her cell.
The man, whose name tag spelled out 'Stanley Parloose,' only grumpily nodded before he gestured for your wand. "Wand, please."
"Alright, don't get your trousers in a twist," You grumbled, taking out your wand and handing it to the man, who then sat it on the Wand Weigher.
"Is that all you are here to do?" Stanley asked, looking up at you, past the rims of his thickly-framed glasses; his bright blue eyes almost judging you as you rocked on the balls of your feet.
Looking off, you pretended to think about your answer before giving the man a grin, "I don't know... You wouldn't allow me to go up a couple of floors, would you?" You asked, raising an eyebrow as the man sighed heavily.
"You're the middle-tier Auror, Miss L/N. What do you think the answer is?" Stanley asked boredly, resting his head in his hand as he looked up at you.
You pouted slightly, crossing your arms over your chest, "I think the answer is no, but it's worth a shot every time." You muttered as the man snorted, looking down at his paperwork.
"Correct again, Miss L/N," Stanley teased, smirking as you scoffed.
"I could have you fired, Mr. Parloose." You snapped, watching as the man's smirk grew.
"You may work for the Ministry, Miss L/N," Stanley sang, laughing when you huffed, "But, you know that your name is not on the list. I can not permit you to travel up there for you are-"
"I'm not someone with strong ties or anything. Yeah, I know. It's bollocks." You tilted your head as you stared down at the man, "But... You know... I think I can have Rita Skeeter interview you some time..." You trailed off, watching as the man's eyes widened slightly before he cleared his throat.
"Rita Skeeter? You know her?" He asked, trying to hide the fact that he was very intrigued by the idea of an interview by the witch.
You smiled, knowing that you won this battle, "Of course, I do! She's a very dear friend of mine. We are like this." You emphasized, crossing your fingers together to show how close you were to the - annoying - woman. "I'm sure she'd love to do an exclusive interview with the security guard of the most formidable wizard prison, who also allows me access to the floor I'm not supposed to be on." You told him, his eyes widened even more as you stepped forward to lean lightly on his desk, pretending to examine your nails.
"You're bluffing..."
"Am I?" You countered, staring down at the man, gaze unwavering, "You know... She once told me that she had a thing for brunettes. And that she may or may not be single." You drew the fishing line, and Stanley took the lure.
"Fine. You can go up there for no more than ten minutes. No more, no less." He told you, pointing his quill at you with a less-than-threatening glare.
You grinned, smiling bright, "Thanks, Stanny." You sang, pushing off the desk and turning on your heel.
"Hey! Don't call me that!" You heard the man yell as he glared at you.
"Whatever you say, Stanny-boy!" You yelled back.
You quickly made your way up and up the tower of Azkaban, your mind elsewhere as you thought about your boyfriend. It had been years since you had last seen him, eleven years to be exact.
You remembered the last night you saw Sirius Black. You had just watched your two best friends, James and Lily tie the knot. You partied, drank, ate, and danced with Sirius and your friends. You didn't remember much after that, just you and Sirius flooing home, and crashing on the couch together. That morning, you got ready to visit your family for the month, packing your bags, eating breakfast with Sirius, and kissing each other goodbye before you flooed to your family home. What you didn't know was that that was the last kiss you and Sirius would share.
Oh, how you wished that you were there when they took him away. But you knew that there would be nothing you could do. That was why you became an Auror in the first place, rising in the ranks slowly to finally reach the point that you could see him again - albeit sort of illegally.
It was dark, and you stumbled slightly as you found his cell. Peaking through the small window in the metal door, you felt the air in your lungs escape you, and you cursed under your breath. Sirius sat in the corner of the room, legs up against his chest, arms wrapped around him, the sunlight shining down upon him from the thin window.
"Sirius..." You muttered, just enough that his head lifted at the sound of your voice, eyes rapidly flickering around the room - as if he had really gone insane, imagining your voice - before he found the small portion of your face peeking out from the window on the door.
"Y/N?" His voice was hoarse from lack of use, and you swallowed back the lump forming in your throat at the sight of him. You nodded your head, pushing up to rest your forehead on the metal door. You didn't say anything, afraid if you did, you would cry. You heard and watched him move, the scraping of his skin and his prison clothing against the wall as he pushed himself to his feet. His hand reached out for you, just brushing against your cheek before he almost flinched back in fear that it was all a dream, that you weren't real. "Y/N," He repeated, voice louder this time as if he was making sure that you were really there.
"It's me, Sirius." You responded softly, looking at him through the window, seeing his eyes staring right into yours. “I’m here.” You frowned deeply upon seeing how thin and frail he looked, "My poor baby, what have they done to you..?
"How are you here?" He asked, ignoring your question, staring at you with those gray eyes that you missed so much.
Licking your bottom lip, you gave him a small, nervous smile, "I'm an Auror... And I may or may not have bribed the security guard to let me up here." You admitted sheepishly, feeling your heart race in your chest as his lips twitched slightly at your confession.
"Oh, Y/N," He said, moving the tips of his fingers against your cheek, a soft chuckle leaving him as you leaned into his touch as much as you could from the window's small opening. "How come you haven't seen me before?" He asked, his thumb stroking your skin as your eyes fell shut.
You swallowed back the lump in your throat, feeling tears burn behind your eyes as you looked back at him. "Stanley, the security guard, is surprisingly hard to crack. If I had known that he had a huge crush on Rita Skeeter, I would've used that instead." You admitted, shrugging slightly as a small, breathy laugh left Sirius.
"It's been so long, my love," He muttered, "I haven't seen you in close to a decade." He murmured, a soft look appearing on his features as he took in every detail of you that he could make out from the terrible lighting.
"It has..." You agreed, "I missed you. A lot." You told him truthfully, giving him a watery smile as he looked at you with such sorrow and adoration it made you weak in the knees. "But, we will get you out of here, and I will take you far away from this place." You told him, your eyes flickering around his cell before they returned back to his face. "I just need time... I- I can get you out, I just need-"
"Shhh..." He hushed you softly, stroking his dirty thumb over your bottom lip, but you didn’t care, "It's okay, Y/N. You don't have to explain yourself to me. I know how the Ministry works. They've done a lot of wrong by me... But you... You will make it right again. You're too good for this world."
You couldn't help the tears that flowed down your cheeks as he spoke, his voice deep and soothing, "I love you, Siri." You whispered, watching as he smiled at you, and it was like the stars in the night sky.
"I love you too, my little treasure," Sirius said, voice soft and rough with emotion.
Blinking rapidly, tears burned the back of your eyes as you cleared your throat lightly, "Are you alright?" You asked, before huffing, shaking your head slightly, "That's a silly question. You don't have to answer that." You laughed slightly as you wiped away your tears, "Is there anything I can bring you next time? I think I can get Stanley to let me up here again... I can bring food maybe or-"
"You..." He responded, interrupting you, smiling when you blinked up at him in confusion, "You're all I need, Y/N... You and your little smile that melts me into a puddle every time I see it. Your soft hair that always smells like summer."
"Sirius," You sighed out, your smile growing uncontrollably at his words, "Became a poet, have you?"
"The thought of you has kept me sane," Sirius muttered, glancing around his cell quickly before looking back at you, "How's Harry?" He then asked, swiftly changing the topic.
"Little Harry?" You asked, "He's doing as good as he can, being the Boy Who Lived and all."
"Is he doing alright at Hogwarts?"
"He is. I try to visit Hogwarts as much as I can to check up on him. I gave him that picture of James and Lily for his twelfth birthday." You told him, "He's a lot like you, really. James too. He gets into so much trouble. Aside from the trouble You-Know-Who causes." You bit your lip briefly, narrowing your eyes playfully, "And that's funny coming from you. It took a lot of convincing to get you to even do your homework."
Sirius laughed, and it was a beautiful sound, and you would be lying if you said you didn't want to hear it more often. "You got me there… You’d never see me in that library. Pince hated me."
Your smile dwindled slightly, looking down at your Muggle watch, "I have to go... Stanley only gave me ten minutes." You whispered, biting the inside of your cheek, feeling like the worst person in the world for leaving.
"I understand. You do what you have to, treasure." He told you, though his eyes were begging and pleading for you to stay.
"I'll try and come back and see you. I promise." You muttered, reaching your hand up to touch his, your fingers just brushing against his own as he gave you a nod.
"I'll be waiting for you." He replied, and you could feel your heart in your throat as you smiled at him, taking one last look before you left him to go back to the floor you were not supposed to be on.

So it’s looking like we might be getting the ‘AFO gave Tenko his quirk’ theory confirmed and I gotta be honest; I am not in favor. I’m hardly the first to take this position, both before and after this chapter dropped, but if I may attempt to put into words why; it’s that I don't think it can really add anything except reveal postmortem some new way AFO is bad in the best case & handing Deku a potential deus ex machina in the worst case.
Tumblr media
Like, the best case result of such a revelation at this point in the plot is that it's just to make AFO seem more evil by making him the root cause of the Shimura tragedy, except…only in a way that doesn’t even matter. Like, this reveal shouldn’t change any of Tomura’s motivations or talking points; he already knows AFO manipulated him & hates him for that, but he also hates Kotaro, Nana, All Might, and the greater hero society for the role they played in his tragedy, and AFO giving him Decay wouldn’t change how much everyone else I listed deserves that ire. It just means that some of the tragic happenstance of the Shimuras that seemingly could've happened to anyone was instead purposefully cause by that jerk we know.
It’s like if we learned AFO killed Endeavor’s father, leading him down the path to become the domestic abuser we know him as. Thus the tragedy of the Todorokis would also come back to AFO...but y’know…not in anyway that matters. Endeavor, Touya, and everyone else involved still made their choices; AFO’s just the root cause of it all by sheer technicality. How diabolical, I might care if he were still relevant.
Tumblr media
The worst case result of such a revaluation of course is that it gives Deku an unearned & largely uninteresting easy out to solving the problem that is Tomura's rage. Because if AFO gave him Decay, then he's actually the one ultimately responsible for near everything, if not just everything wrong in Tomura's life (even if, again, just by technicality in some areas). Never mind the rolls Kotaro, Nana, All Might, and greater hero society played in it; AFO's the real root cause of it all whose been manipulating Tomura for longer than he even knows, so he should just stop caring about that other stuff.
Plus it'd also mean Tomura doesn't exist to destroy because Decay isn't his true quirk (never mind how that's not why he thinks that & he never even put much stock into that quirk-identity stuff anyway) so he can just stop being a villain now please.
Yeah this all just doesn't seem like the most interesting way for Deku to tackle Tomura's trauma, talking points, or motivations.
Tumblr media
Plus, like a live action Disney movie, the idea's kind of felt like it’s tying up a ‘plot hole’ that didn’t need tying up; that might even work better as a coincidental tragedy. Like; people act like this can’t be just a tragedy, it's too convenient, it has to be some master machination of the grand demon lord who…is already beaten, dead, and doesn’t factor into anyone’s plot lines or themes anymore. At best, to make him seem more evil long after the point we have any reason to care; at worst, to give Deku an easy out (with the side effect of making him seem like a worse hero who can’t save villains in Tomura's position without unique circumstances to make it easy).
Also like a live action Disney movie, this almost feels like it opens up a plot hole in trying to tie one up. Because as we know; Tenko’s circumstances are identical to Eri’s, down to the signs of their quirks being random mutations. When I said the tragic happenstance of the Shimuras we're blaming AFO for could've happened to anyone; I know this because it happened verbatim to her. So if those circumstances (just so happening to get a deadly quirk that kills their families, which just so happen to be connected to the villain who'll use & abuse them, etc.) are seen as suspicious, early signs that AFO gave Tenko Decay…did he or another villain give Eri Rewind? Almost certainly not; but if not then why does she get a random mutation-caused tragedy, while Tenko must have been the victim of some villain’s plot that's already been foiled?
Tumblr media
So my point is: I really hope this is just a red herring. Revealing that AFO gave Tenko Decay kind of feels like it undercuts the Shimura tragedy as something that could've happened to any kid in Tenko or Eri's shoes; and I don't think any payoff you'd get for that undercutting is worth it.
We should instead get the much funnier revaluation that the man who brought Tenko home that day was, rather than AFO, a completely different man who Deku would coincidentally recognize: Hisashi Midoriya.

I just read your I Am Still review and it makes me curious what namjoon's movie (not sure if its meant to be a docu?) will look like.
I know BH could do better in a lot of ways, but I do think a lot of the stuff tied to bts' solo promotions is really a reflection of where they are at artistically as individuals. Like I'm sure BH lays out a profit plan (i.e. we want an album, a video release, merch, etc.), but other than that, I do think a lot of it is up to them what direction they take. Like if they have something specific in mind or want to go waaaay more artistic, namjoon's solo seems to show that BH will put in the money and allow them to do that. On the other hand, I do think, if they don't have a direction in mind, BH just gives them the memories, in-house BH editor treatment (which could be better and they could at least get an actual docu director if they plan for a theatrical release, I know people felt this way even for Beyond the Star).
I actually love a lot of the songs on Golden (I'm a pop-whore through and through), but I do think jungkook hasn't quite found himself yet, or his unique artistic vision. And I think that flows into the content related to the album. I don't know if its controversial to say as a fan, but I think even calling the album "Golden" and then comments I've seen about the docu, it feels more like him trying to live up to his "Golden Maknae" status of mega pop stardom than necessarily finding himself in this album. And to be clear, those things don't have to be mutually exclusive! But I do think jungkook doesn't necessarily dig deep or get vulnerable in this album, so it doesn't surprise me that the docu might also feel that way. I also feel like this is why JPD might feel a little more cohesive, because I do think jimin is farther along in his artistic journey (being vulnerable, knowing what he wants to say as an artist even if its not fully polished yet, etc.). And this no shade to jungkook, I think all of the vocal line haven't had the opportunity to grow outside the group like the rap line has, especially the younger members whose entire artistic career/view has been shaped within a group setting. Finding yourself takes time, and trial and error. Sometimes I feel like jimin doesn't get enough credit for the fact that his first entirely solo project was so personal and he was so involved in the entire creative conception of it, especially for someone as reserved as him.
I am excited to see what Jin will end up coming out with (I love the The Astronaut song) and it'll be interesting to see the direction each member takes post military service. Even styling-wise, I'm curious what each member will do. I've hated jimin's styling for all of his solo projects (except the sparkly denim LC outfit) and most of jungkook's outside of SNTY. Please let the weird, ugly mullet, lego hair-piece looking stuff die and also extremely baggy clothes. I need fashion to have evolved by the time they get discharged because jimin should not need to be pulling up his pant's leg while he dances.
Hi anon,
Thank you for sending this in. I apologize that it's been ages, I got quite sick for a bit there and didn't have the energy to deal with tumblr. (Sidenote, the feed is kind of a disaster right now. I hope people can return to celebrating content again soon, I'm ready to stop unfollowing people every time I log in.)
Anyway, I'm so glad you brought up Namjoon's film because I'm so INTRIGUED. What are the criteria for this film festival? Is there any hope that it's been handled properly? What do we know about the director? Is this just another Hybe edit and they've strong-armed is into the festival? Is there going to be any way for us to watch it?
I don't really have any answers to these questions yet but it's kind of my only hope left of a decent film that's not just bangtantv content.
I actually really loved the idea of Golden being the album title and many of the choices surrounding it's release. Such great imagery and art surrounding his tattoos and just completely celebrating everything that led to JK as a person. But...it has very little connection to the actual music. Again, other than this idea that JK was actively pursuing himself as an extremely technically-exceptional singer, what does Golden have to do with the music? Other than one (possible coincidental) reference in STNY, this album could have been called anything. It's not the worst offense of an album but the rest of BTS's work has raised my expectations in having all sides of a release being exceptional. And this just wasn't for me. Not bad. But not astounding.
Also, can I say I'm so relieved to hear someone else voicing my same opinions on the styling for JM that last year. I absolutely despised the mullets and the baggy puts that he had to lift during choreo. Seriously anon, how did you get inside my brain?? I didn't mention this anywhere because everyone was gushing about it but it just pulled me out of it. Every.Single.Time. Can we be besties? Lol
Anyway, I'm sure I missed something in your ask. Still not feeling 100% but I don't want to delay this response any longer. Thank you so much for your patience!

The Camp Vargas Event, do you think Daley!Y/N is just chilling because their job as the Notetaker on who’s doing their job or not is just like what they normally do?
And we have Jeb and Oct, wearing miniature training outfits (Gifted to them by Vargas) and yelling at the students who aren’t using their muscles to ‘Get Moving’
Jeb, Oct and Vargas should NOT be left alone for to long, as they’ll make an even harder training regime, including Roman Weapons training to strength muscles and Jeb introducing Horseback Fighting (Cue everyone glaring at Daley!Y/N because it’s their fault for bringing those two with them on the trip)
SORRY, I WANTED TO FINISH THE EVENT BEFORE I WROTE SOMETHING FOR THIS BUT YES, THESE ARE ALL SO ACCURATE
*Spoilers for the Pt.2 Camp Vargas Event*
- Considering Vargas made the costume for Crewel, HE DEF WOULD MAKE THEM MINI TRACK SUITS and he also hired Jed and Octavius to also do a little investigating and infiltrate various camps with their tiny size to see whose complaining and whose taking advantage of this AMAZING opportunity to get swolen!
- Meanwhile the Daley! Reader is taking notes with Grim per usual but then Azul is all: "CAN YOU PLEASE SHUT YOUR TINY PEOPLE UP!? They keep talking about how things were done back in their time and it's giving Vargas IDEAS."
- But, I do see them kinda helping a bit. Like when they're setting up tents, Jed is yelling at them what to do and he's all: "YA'LL HAVE IT EASY, back in my day, tents didn't have all those fancy sticks n' joints!"
- The clubs complaining because the Daley! Reader got to bring their flashlight and that's technically technology and they're all: "UM, YOU ALL HAVE MAGIC? THIS IS LITERALLY MY ONLY SUREFIRE WAY OF SELF DEFENSE."
- ALSO, YOU KNOW HOW OCTAVIUS TAMED A SQUIRREL IN THE SECOND MOVIE!? HE DOES IT AGAIN, like when the fairies attack, he's fighting them on squirrel back and Jedediah is right behind him as you're trying to make sure Grim isn't caught in the crossfire between students and fairies.

"Love your tuches," Eddie said when Steve got up to get a soda from the fridge.
"Gosh, that tuches of yours," Eddie whispered when Steve sat on top of his lap.
"The most beautiful tuches on earth," Eddie declared when Steve left his trailer to go to work.
It's been happening for a while, Eddie using this unfamiliar word to compliment him, he thinks? Steve was wondering about it during his solo shift on Saturday afternoon. Robin was away with her family and the store was empty and quiet.
"Hello to the greatest tuches owner in Hawkins!" Eddie announced, walking loudly into Family Video.
"Hi, Eddie," Steve smiled. Eddie leaned across the front desk to plant a quick peck on Steve's lips, and then pulled himself over it and landed between Steve's arms, stumbling a little.
"How are you hanging, abandoned by your other half?" Eddie asked, sat on the staff's chair and started swaying from left to right.
"She didn't abandon me," Steve stopped Eddie's repetitive motion and placed himself between his legs, "and I'm fine, thanks." He pushed Eddie's hair behind his ear and stroked his cheek softly.
"Of course you are, now that I'm here," Eddie said with a teasing smile, Steve rolled his eyes and squeezed Eddie's cheeks, and then kissed him on his nose. Eddie moved his face up to meet Steve's lips when the doorbell rang. Steve immediately pulled back and turned towards the door. It was Dustin.
"Steve, Eddie! Great to see you both," he greeted and leaned on the counter. Steve and Eddie both rolled their eyes, and Steve sat back in Eddie's lap.
"What do you want, Henderson?" Steve asked impatiently, his hands crossed on his chest.
"I have to rent a movie," he said, his eyes wide and begging.
"Okay..? That's the point of this store. What movie do you want?" Steve got up and went out from behind the desk towards Dustin, whose eyes lit up. Steve knew that look.
"No." He said firmly.
"Please?" Dustin put his hands together and started going down, Eddie chuckled.
"You two are adorable," he said and grabbed his jacket, "but I'm not staying for this fight, tell me who won, Stevie." He kissed Steve on the cheek on his way out and disappeared into his van.
Dustin was on his knees now. "Please??" Steve shook his head, and Dustin stood up again. "Steve, come on! you know Suzie is coming and I promised her we'll watch a movie!"
Steve blew air out of his nose, and started tapping his foot, "Yes, I know she's coming, you can take any other movie! I legally can't rent you anything from that section. Choose something else."
"But Steve! I told her my friends work at the video store and can give me any movie I want!" He stomped his feet, "Robin would've let me." He crossed his arms, upset.
"No she wouldn't?? Robin is a lot more strict than me," Steve threw his hands, "Have you ever spoken to her?? She's like a police offic- Wait." Steve stopped and fixed his hair, trying to think. "Robin isn't here... Aha!" He exclaimed, and ran back behind the counter, "I have an idea, but you have to keep it between us two, Dustin, do you promise??"
Dustin giggled and put his hand on his chest, "I swear, no one will know of this encounter."
Steve rolled his eyes again, only pretending not to like Dustin's endearing dramatisation of mundane situations, something that always reminds him of his boyfriend.
"Listen, I'm gonna make a deal with you," Steve opened, leaning towards Dustin and lowering his voice, "I will let you rent any movie you want, only!" He emphasized, "If you never tell Robin," he counted on his fingers, "and if you help me solve a mystery."
Dustin's smile grew, "Deal! already promised I won't tell anyone, and you know I love mysteries," he clapped and ran behind the counter before Steve could stop him, "what are we solving?"
"Okay," Steve put his palms together and pointed towards Dustin, who placed himself comfortably on the chair, "So Eddie's been using that word recently, and I have to figure out what it means," He said, and started pacing around.
"Okay? what's the word?" Dustin asked, curious.
"That's the thing, I've been trying to pronounce it but I can't make that sound... I think he uses it as a compliment? maybe it's from your fantasy game?" He wondered out loud, avoiding Dustin's question.
"Steve, if you don't tell me the word I won't be able to answer all your great questions," Dustin said and received a warning look for Steve, causing him to raise his hands, like proving his innocence.
Steve pinched his nose bridge, "I think it's like... too... toohes?" He eventually said, and sighed in frustration, "That's not what it sounds like!" He stomped.
Dustin started laughing, "Say that again!" Steve just looked at him, his eyes burning, and he stopped laughing at once. "Never heard it in my life," Dustin said, shrugging, "Definitely not from DnD, or anything I know Eddie's interested in. maybe it's from a song?"
"No..." Steve shook his head, "I heard his metal enough and I never heard that word before he randomly started using it..." Steve buried his face in his hands, "So you have no idea?" He peeked through his fingers.
"Nope," Dustin said and jumped off the chair, "Now give me that movie."
Steve stood there, defeated, while Dustin picked his movie. He rented it on his own name and Dustin had to rip it out of Steve's hands. He almost fell when he succeeded pulling it.
"Why aren't you asking Robin?" Dustin asked then, hugging the VHS like his life depended on it, "She always brags about how her ears are geniuses or something, I bet she'd know."
Steve looked at him, and almost jumped across the counter to strangle him. "Go away! before I take that tape and burn it." He couldn't believe he didn't think of it himself. He watched Dustin shove the tape in his bag, run out of the store onto his bike, and disappear into the sunset.
---
"Robin!" Steve barged into the Buckley's house approximately 24 hours after Dustin left Family Video. Robin was spread on the couch and stared at the TV, letting the game show run while she was dozing off after a nice and heavy lunch. She jumped when she heard Steve, her heart pounding.
"Steve?! what the fuck, you scared me," she stood up with her hand on her chest.
"Sorry, listen, I really need your ears- I mean help," Steve smiled and walked closer to her, robin's curiosity was awakened.
"My ears, you say?" She raised an eyebrow, "What is this about?"
Steve gestured with his head towards the stairs and started walking upstairs, Robin behind him, "What is this about, dingus??"
Steve entered Robin's bedroom and crashed on the bed, Robin stood above him, "What's wrong with you today? you're acting weird."
"Robbie," Steve raised himself, resting on his elbows, "it's Eddie..." He opened, releasing a sigh. Robin sat next to him.
"What happened?" she asked softly, "Did you fight?"
"What??" Steve chuckled, "Of course not! You'd know if we did. We're madly in love, don't worry," he said with dreamy eyes and Robin pretended to barf, Steve flicked her calf. "It's just... He's been saying that word, I think it's a compliment, and I'm trying to find out what it means, and Henderson," he said through clenched teeth, "after being absolutely no help, suggested I'd ask you, since you have genius ears, or something." He smiled sweetly and Robin giggled.
"I'm flattered, even though you didn't come straight to me," she hit his shoulder, "and I'd love to help, but why don't you just ask him?"
Steve gasped dramatically, "and give him the upper hand?? Absolutely not. I will figure it out. He can't win here."
robin squinted at him, "You do realise it's ridiculous, right?"
"Don't care," Steve sealed his lips and looked away, with a hurt ego and too much pride.
"Gosh, fine!" Robin swallowed another giggle, "I'll help you, what's that word?"
Steve sat up, placing himself in front of robin and held her knees, "Okay, it's definitely in a different language, I can't fully pronounce it but I'll try, okay? And don't laugh," he raised a warning finger, "it's like, toohes? toohhes?" He tried to emphasize the middle sound, Robin had to try really hard not to laugh, "The H sound sounds more like-" He then proceeded to make a sound like he was violently clearing his throat and Robin lost it, bursting into uncontrollable laughter and ran away from Steve's flying hands.
"Please! you need to hear yourself!", she squealed and copied him, making throat-cleaning sounds back at him, Steve pouted.
"You promised you'll help!" He threw a pillow at her and she dodged it, and then sat back next to him, calming down.
"I will, you diva," she smiled, "that terrible sound," she opened and Steve huffed, "sounds like something European, like Dutch, or German," she said, her mind running, "yeah, maybe even Russian?" she asked and they both had chills running down both of their spines, "Do you know if Eddie speaks any of those languages?" She asked and Steve shook his head, "Nope, not that he told me... This is so frustrating!" He dropped his head on her shoulder and sighed, she caressed his head, running her fingers through his hair, "Hey, we'll figure it out," She laid her cheek on his head, "Why don't you ask Wayne? He'd probably know if Eddie speaks more languages."
Steve looked up, a smile growing on his face, "Oh, Robbie," he planted a wet kiss on her cheek, "You really are a genius."
Robin smiled back and wiped her cheek, "I know. Wanna drink something?" She stood up, "Also, you really didn't think of it yourself?"
Steve shot himself off the bed and started chasing her downstairs, his hands stretched forward, but she was too fast, running away in rolling laughter.
---
Steve knocked on the trailer's door three times, and then heard heavy steps coming towards him. Wayne opened, and his eyes seemed confused.
"Steve? good to see you, son," He smiled, "Eddie isn't here, he's with his band."
"Oh, I know," Steve smiled back, "I wanted to talk to you, actually, may I?" He pointed inside the trailer.
"Sure, come in," Wayne moved and let Steve walk into the trailer, "Beer?" Steve nodded and sat on the small couch, Wayne sat next to him a few seconds later with two opened, cold beers in his hands, and gave one to Steve.
"So, what did you want to talk about?" Wayne asked and sipped from his beer, and Steve did the same, postponing the, in his opinion, silly question.
"Well," he finally opened, "Does Eddie speak... another language?" He asked carefully.
Wayne lowered his beer bottle, "Why are you asking?"
"Um, he's been saying a word recently, and after some investigation I found out it's probably in a European language, but I can't tell which one..." He fixed his hair nervously and took another sip of his beer.
"Look," Wayne smiled, "I can assure you he isn't fluent in any language other than English, but the boy sure has a wild imagination and a lot of curiosity, so he knows several words in several languages," He released a short laugh, "What's the word he says?"
Steve blushed, "Please don't make me say it," he said, his voice low, "I can't pronounce it... It has that sound in the middle," and did the throat-cleaning sound again, this time softly and quietly. Wayne laughed again.
"Oh, yeah, I know what you're talking about," He put his hand on Steve's shoulder, "You know that Eddie's mother was Jewish, right?"
Steve's eyebrows jumped up, "No, I didn't actually," He placed his beer on the small table.
"Yeah," Wayne smiled, "She was, and there were many Yiddish words she used when Eddie was little, I guess some stuck with him. I hear him going around making those unfamiliar noises, it's Yiddish."
Steve's tapped his fingers on his knees, "Yiddish, you say?" His eyes scanned the room, "and you know the meaning of that word?" He asked carefully.
"Probably not, son," He took off his hand and put his beer next to Steve's, "Eddie never agreed to translate the words to me, I think it's funny to him that he has a secret language he can use behind my back," He chuckled, "I let go of it pretty quickly, it's probably all curse words."
"Well, I hope this one isn't," Steve's smile was bitter, "I truly think it's a compliment, I just don't know what kind of compliment," He laughed shortly and got up, "Thank you, Wayne." He shook his hand and walked towards the trailer's door.
"Sure son, anytime," He smiled and followed Steve, "What are you gonna do now?"
Steve stood in front of the open door, "Don't know," he shrugged, "find a Yiddish-English dictionary?"
Wayne barked in laughter, "Doubt you'll find that in the Hawkins public library," He stopped for a second, thinking, "You know Joyce Byers?"
Steve froze in place, "Yeah..?"
"She's Jewish too, I bet she'll know," He said with certainty.
"She is??" Steve ran his fingers through his hair, "How didn't I know that? How do you know that?"
Wayne smiled softly, "Was with her in school, she was Joyce Horowitz. Trust me, she has the answer for you."
Steve nodded and shook Wayne's hand again, "Thank you!" he ran to his car, "Thank you!" He waved through the window as he drove off, leaving Wayne shaking his head in a soft laugh.
"Really couldn't think of anyone more fitting for Ed," He said to himself and backed into the trailer, shutting the door behind him.
---
Steve knocked quickly on the Byers' door the next morning, Jonathan opened.
"Steve?" He looked behind him, "What are you doing here?"
"Hi, Jonathan," he smiled politely, "Great to see you. Is your mom home?"
Jonathan was a lot more confused now, "Yeah, she is... Mom!" He yelled into the house and let Steve in, closing the door behind him.
"Jonathan, I can hear perfectly without you yelling," She entered the kitchen, "Steve! Hi sweetheart!" she hugged him tightly and took a step back, examining his face, "You look good." She determined, "Do you want something to eat? drink?" He didn't have time to answer and she pulled a cake out of the oven. It smelled like cinnamon. Before he noticed he had a piece in his hand. "Are you here to visit Jonathan?"
Steve shook his head while taking a bite, "This is so good, Joyce, wow," He took another one, "I'm actually here to see you," he said with his mouth full.
"Oh, okay," she smiled, "do you need anything?"
Steve nodded and finished his cake, "This is amazing, what is that?" He pointed at the cake.
"It's my Bubbe's cinnamon cake, felt like making it," she shrugged, "Glad you like it, dear," she smiled again, "So, what do you need?"
Steve sat on one of the kitchen chairs and sighed, looking around to make sure they were alone, Joyce noticed his distress and sat next to him, putting a hand on his leg, "Hey, it's okay, whatever it is, you know you can talk to me," Her eyes were warm and Steve felt like he might cry.
"Um," he opened, "Do you... Do you speak Yiddish?" He managed to ask, his voice quiet and unsure, Joyce's smile grew.
"Can't say I speak," she air-quoted the word, "But I do know a few words. Why are you asking?"
"Well," he laughed softly, relieved to have found the person who might know the answer, "Eddie's been saying that word, and I was going around trying to figure out what it means, and Wayne told me it's in Yiddish. He didn't know what it means, but he told me you might..." His eyes were hopeful and Joyce was beaming.
"Aw, sweet Wayne, I bet he remembers me as Horowitz a lot more than Byers," She reminisced, "He's probably right, what's the word?"
Steve's tongue froze. He knew this is it, this is the moment he'll get the answer, the secret is about to be revealed, he just needs to pronounce it right. He just has to say it correctly and Joyce will unveil the truth, so why can't his mouth move?
"I..." he stuttered, "I can't pronounce it..."
Joyce rubbed his hand, "It's okay, sweetheart, say it, I'll understand. It's America, not Poland, I don't expect you to get all the sounds right." She smiled warmly and Steve calmed down.
"It's... it's like, tuhhes?" He said, really trying to express the sound right, and Joyce started laughing so hard, Steve wanted the ground to open up and swallow him alive.
"Oh, Steve!" she wiped her tears, "In what way was he using it?"
"I don't even know!" He threw his hands, blush covering his cheeks, "I couldn't find any context." He said, frustrated, "What does it mean?"
Joyce's eyes sparkled, "Well, the word is tuches, right? Is that the way he says it?" Steve nodded frantically, finally hearing the word from someone who wasn't Eddie was refreshing and surprising.
"Tuches, Steve, is the Yiddish word for," she hid the side of her mouth and lowered her voice, "Ass."
Steve sat there quietly, his eyes as wide as plates, running in his head all the times Eddie said the word and blush was climbing up his neck, cheeks and earlobes again.
"What??!" he eventually succeeded saying, "You wanna tell me that Eddie has been talking about my butt this whole time??"
Joyce nodded, "And I think he enjoyed it, how often has he been using it?"
"Oh, a lot." Steve assured and got up quickly. "Too much." He walked fast towards the door, "Thank you, Joyce! for everything!"
"Sure! come over more dear!" She shouted after him and smiled to herself.
"Mom? What was that about?" Jonathan entered the kitchen and took a piece of cake.
"Oh, nothing." She waved her hands, "Did you know Eddie Munson is Jewish? We should invite him over for Shabbos."
---
Steve has been spending the past week mastering the impossible sound. He's been saying it over and over again to himself, driving Robin nuts during their shifts. It was entertaining, sure, and she was glad he solved his mystery, but it was annoyingly endless. He did stop immediately every time Eddie walked in, and didn't react every time Eddie came up with a new sentence to weave in his tuches. He was waiting for the perfect opportunity, and it was just about to come.
It was a hot day, and Steve and Eddie were chilling inside the house. Steve lay on the couch and Eddie was right on top of him, planting small pecks all over Steve's face.
"Hey," Steve said after Eddie broke away from his lips, "Wanna get in the pool?"
Eddie raised himself and looked at Steve, "I don't have a swimsuit here."
"It's fine," Steve started to get up, Eddie slowly slipping off, "We'll swim in our boxers."
Eddie shrugged and let himself spill on the floor, and then got up in a jump and started stripping down, throwing his clothes at the amused Steve who was still sitting on the couch.
"The last to jump is a rotten egg!" Eddie shouted while running outside, Steve heard a big splash and laughed to himself, took off his clothes and joined Eddie in the pool.
"Hi Stevie," Eddie clung onto him and kissed him wetly, his hair was dragged down and he looked like a wet poodle, Steve laughed.
"Hi Eddie, love your hair," he smiled with a teasing look, Eddie pushed him away, dove into the pool and swam right underneath Steve, kicking him on his way up, and then flicked his hair and sprayed water all over.
"How about now?" He did a little toss and fell back into the water, Steve shook his head and pulled Eddie up.
"You're lucky I'm a trained lifeguard," He said, holding him tight.
"I sure am, I would've drowned if you weren't here," He smiled sweetly and kissed Steve again.
"You really would've, maybe you should get a time-out," Steve said with a serious voice, "You've been swimming very dangerously, go get us some sodas." He ordered and Eddie chuckled and pulled himself out of the pool, "Yes Sir!" He saluted.
Steve watched him walking away, dripping water, and then shouted, "Nice tuches, you got there!"
Eddie froze in place, small puddles forming around him, he turned around slowly. "What did you just say..?"
Steve got out of the pool and sat on the edge, his body twisted towards Eddie, who still hasn't moved, "I said you have a nice tuches, you disagree?"
"I- what??! You know what this word means??" he now rushed towards Steve and stood over him, hiding him from the sun, "For how long??"
Steve stood up now, "Uh, a week or so," He smiled and held Eddie's buttcheeks, pulling him closer, "I like that word, tuches," He kissed Eddie's nose, "Practiced the sound a lot for you."
Eddie was speechless, breathless, he let Steve hold him there until he succeeded saying, "How..?"
Steve's smile was cheeky, "Well, some investigations, talked to your uncle, but Joyce was the one who gave it away, did you know she's Jewish?" Eddie shook his head, "Yeah, didn't know either, Wayne told me. I also didn't know you are," Eddie raised an eyebrow, "Not that it matters, just nice to know some more things about you." He smiled and pulled Eddie even closer, into a hug.
"If you were so curious what it means," Eddie broke the hug after a few seconds, "Why didn't you just ask me?" Steve's look revealed everything, "Don't tell me you were too proud to admit you don't know!" Eddie laughed and squeezed Steve's cheeks, kissing him shortly on his lips. "I'm glad you know now, and just so you know, I always meant it in the best way possible. I love your juicy tuches." he grabbed Steve's ass with his free hand and Steve giggled.
"Do you know any more cool words in Yiddish?" Steve asked curiously, and Eddie's eyes lit.
"Oh sweetheart, we're gonna have fun today," Eddie said confidently and jumped back into the pool, leaving Steve confused all over again.

I'm already in love with your IF! I practically devoured all the asks and Im so desperate to know more lol.
What's the ROs ideas of a romantic night out/in?
~Thank you~ I'm surprised because I've already done so many lol.
დCam- He is happy as long as he is with you. If staying in, he will be ordering food. (don't ask him to cook you definitely won't get your deposit back). He will get too much and all your favorites. Then attempt to eat the majority. This will result in a tummy ache and begging you to rub it while he puts his head in your lap excuses. Cam will be content just doing this, watching absolute trash tv, or gaming. Mario Kart, please? A night out with Cam is going to be something. He wants you to have a good time. So he's going to break into the abandoned Pizza Hut. There you will see wine, some food, and a blanket. You can talk about nothing, or you can talk about everything. He's just happy with you.
დG- A night in G is cooking some of his favorite Korean dishes. You can't help. You just sit there and find something to watch or help go over some papers from work. G is happy to sit in silence or listen to you talk. They will talk too, but you must make them put their work away. On a night out, G is pulling out all the stops. Fancy restaurant, fancy food, fancy hotel room if you want...
დKara- A night in with Kara differs. What are the chances she broke something and needs your help, feel like some kind of spa treatment? Better yet, let her give you a massage. You can make a competition at it to see whose better. A night out with Kara will be bad movies and stale popcorn. She likes doing simple things because she never really got to her parents were always taking her and Chris somewhere lavish.
დM- M would have to be pulled from their work for a night out. On a night in their thumbing through notes. don't look at them. With a pencil shoved behind their ear. They know they should pay more attention to you, just one more check on this page. When they are finally present, they ask what you want to do. M will do whatever you want. Do you want to watch something? Eat something? Look at their manuscript!? No no, get away from there! It will be sweet and relaxed. You will have to drag them out. Yet once you do they are so excited. Pointing at this or that, commenting about how that building looks new, it's not.
დIsaac- The night in is going to be at your apartment we won't discuss why. They will cook for you, it might be a lil burnt they forgot they were cooking. They will watch movies. Is horror okay? Isaac loves a good horror movie but is a chicken. They will be all over you because they didn't see that kid there they did not! On a night out you would be chauffeured around the city in their car. They will hold your hand and kiss your palms just enjoying your time together. Can pull over somewhere and have a bite, but soon they will just want to drive again.
დArdent- A night in with Ardent will be a little chaotic. The cat is always jumping out at him. Made him drop the skillet, knocking off the paper towels onto the oven burner. Once that is taken care of, prepare to be impressed. This man can cook. He made his mom's baklava recipe just for you to try. Ardent doesn't mind watching movies but he would prefer to read. A night out Ardent is taking you somewhere that doesn't have a lot of people he doesn't like the stares. A night out will be chill. He will be keeping his eye on you. Making sure no one gets too close or leers at you.

MY PERSONAL ART TIPS! A big thread I'll be adding to
I too, was once a 10 year old gacha kid whose only drawings were a way too detailed catgirl persona and friends. I didn't have much in-person or online inspiration and help for a long time! So I'll help others earlier in their art journey (and perhaps the masters too, never not a good idea to try some advice!)
So let me spare some of you a few of the unnecessary mishaps during everyone's art life.
If you've never seen my blog before, hello! My name is Clara. I'm a neurodivergent teen artist, aspiring animator, and resident cat person. It's nice to meet you! If you'd like to know who you're taking advice from, here is some of my latest work!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now without further ado, LET THE HELP COMMENCE!
STROKES: Fix stiffness in your poses!
To start off, a BIG thing I recommend for newish artists, is don't be afraid to draw loosely! The looser the lines, the less stiff the pose. And stiff poses are a very common issue within the community. Sure, your anatomy may look bad for the first while of drawing looser lines, but it will help you be more confident in strokes. The more confident the stroke, the more efficient an artist. The more efficient an artist, the faster you learn.
To practice loose lines, simply draw a long line as fast as you can. Over and over again. I know, that may seem boring, but it helps train your hand and arm to be faster. But if it's so much a hassle to do in your free time, then do it on the side of a worksheet if you're in school, or a sticky note if you're at work.
Speaking of practicing...
PRACTICE MAKES BETTER: Get over it!
I said the phrase wrong, didn't I? Oh wait, no I didn't. NO ONE IS PERFECT. And don't forget that! There will always be issues, problems, and mistakes in your art that you don't realize until the day after you've shared it with everyone you know. The artist is always their worst critic. So the best thing you can do is to keep at it. Practice your weak points to support the composition more, hone in your strong points to better make a focal point. Practice will always help, even if you don't see it. A slow pace is better than no pace!
"But Clara, what are my weak points? How do I know what I always mess up on!?" you may ask...
ANALYZING YOUR ART: Pros and cons!
Well, pick your latest finished piece and tear it apart (NO NOT LITERALLY OH GOD NO PLEASE-) I mean analyze it. Grab your pen and a separate paper, or just your notes app, and make a list of pros and cons in it. Doing this with multiple pieces is especially important, as with multiple examples, it's easier to find a pattern.
How about this, I'll give you an example!
Here we have a piece I made a few weeks ago. It's of my Western AU of my main cast of OCs. TIME TO NITPICK!
Tumblr media
WEAK POINTS
- The clouds are too detailed compared to the rest of the composition
- The right horse seems very stiff (I already am aware I struggle with drawing animals nowadays)
- The funky hatching I did with the plateaus in the background just isn't working out as well as I thought it would anymore
- the god damn horse on the right
- The sky in the middle just seems far too empty. I could have added more indication of the sun at the top to add more noise
STRONG POINTS
- The color palette I chose blends well while having the colors still be sharp and clear against each other
- The entirety of the woman and her horse on the left
- The glitchy effect adds some zestiness to it that I love
- The whole thing looks quite cinematic, with a successful wide shot and the black bars imitating that of a movie's
- The inlines of the otherwise completely flat-colored silhouettes help define the overlapping shapes quite well
And there you have it, 5 pros and cons each I found in something you probably only noticed were little to none. No, I'm not bragging, it's an actual psychological phenomena where the artist notices so many more intricacies than the average outside viewer. Your mom isn't hanging up your art out of pity, GET THAT OUT OF YOUR HEAD! People love your art so much more than you do.
That's it for the first post. Don't worry, there'll still be more helpful tips coming! I just won't be able to fit everything in here with Tumblr's picture limit and all. Happy drawing!

jungprom | jungwon
This post was inspired by that one tumblr user whose bff forgot to ask her to prom. Since Jungwon is a literal baby this is just cute and fluffy. There is a kiss at the end but it reads like a Disney channel original movie. Also I know nothing about prom or dress shopping except for what I’ve seen in movies so sorry for any inaccuracies. Jungwon, as always, is the most precious lil bean. Jake and Sunoo feature and Sunoo goes full Tan France. Hope u enjoy!!
Tumblr media
You are staring at your phone, trying to decipher the text you just got from Jungwon.
“Hi! What color is your prom dress?”
As far as you know, you are not going to prom. You never have been going to prom. You never even got asked to prom, you think to yourself, amused.
“I don’t have a prom dress,” you reply back. “Why do you ask?”
His reply is prompt. “Prom is this weekend, right? Why don’t you have a dress yet?”
“Because I’m not going?” you reply back, more confused than ever. “I didn’t get asked to prom.”
The typing signal appears -- Jungwon is texting back. “Did I forget to ask you” is all it says.
You gape at your phone. Pressing the call button, you hold it up to your ear, and Jungwon answers almost instantly.
“Uh, hi,” he says, his voice sheepish.
“Hi,” you say, trying to hold back a laugh. “You have some explaining to do.”
“So, I thought I had told you that I was planning on taking you to prom,” he says hesitantly. “But then I realized about thirty seconds ago I never asked you. I literally told everyone but you,” he adds, exasperated.
“Well, that sounds fun. I don’t have a dress, though,” you say.
“You’ve still got a couple days!” he pleads. “Please, I think it would be really fun if we went together.”
You try to ignore the butterflies that erupt in your stomach as he says this. As a distraction, you pretend to deliberate for a moment before agreeing. “Okay, I’ll be ready to go. What time are you picking me up?”
“Six!” he says. “Don’t forget to ask your dad.”
You roll your eyes, knowing full well that if your dad could trade you for Jungwon as a kid, he’d gladly do so. “Okay, I will. I’ll see you in class tomorrow.”
“Bye,” he says cheerily. “And sorry again!”
The call ends and you run downstairs to talk to your dad. “Hey,” you say as you enter his office, and he looks up and smiles at you.
“Hey, stranger,” he teases. “What’s up?”
“Jungwon called,” you say. “Apparently he forgot to ask me to prom, but I’m gonna go with him on Saturday if you’re okay with it.”
His jaw drops. “I absolutely love that idea. In fact, I think you should date him, go to college with him, and then marry him. Actually, I think I’m gonna tell him he can only take you to prom if he’s gonna marry you later.”
“Dad!” you shriek, blushing.
Your dad laughs at your discomfort. “So, do you have a dress?” he asks.
“No,” you admit, your cheeks still hot.
“Well, give me ten minutes and then we can go. Are you going to bring Jungwon with you to go dress shopping?” he asks hopefully.
“That might not be a bad idea,” you say. “Isn’t that bad luck, though?”
Your dad rolls his eyes. “No, that’s for when you get married. Jungwon shouldn’t see you in a wedding dress before then.”
You glare at your dad. “You keep making jokes, and I’m not even going to invite Jungwon to come.”
Your dad immediately sobers up. “Okay, okay,” he says, his tone placating. “I won’t do anything bad. Just call him.”
You do, and he answers promptly. “What’s up?”
“My dad wants to go dress shopping in like ten minutes,” you explain. “You could come and get your matching tie at the same time.”
“Great idea,” Jungwon says, “except I have Jake and Sunoo here right now.”
“Dress shopping?” you hear Sunoo say in the background. “We’re coming. She’s going to be the best-dressed person at prom or I’m not the person I say I am.”
There is a long pause. “Apparently Sunoo wants to come. Is that okay?”
“Bring them both,” you agree, smiling. “It’ll be way less weird than hanging out with just you and my dad.”
“I love your dad!” Jungwon says defensively.
“You love my dad, and my dad loves you, a little too much,” you sigh. “See you in ten.”
After collecting everyone, you head to the mall, and into a store that boasts a large selection of dresses that you had to look up on the internet to find. Jake’s eyes get wide as he takes in all the options, organized by color on seemingly endless rows of racks. “It’s so much harder for girls,” he realizes.
“Not if you do it right,” Sunoo instructs. “Now, darling, stay away from anything beige,” he tells you. “Or cheugy.”
You salute him, heading for the light blue rack. Jungwon follows you while your dad hangs back, talking with Sunoo and Jake. “I think you should look for something vintage-inspired,” he says, helping you look through the racks.
You look at him, impressed. “I didn’t think you’d have an opinion,” you tell him.
“Well, you’ll look pretty in anything,” he says, and he blushes a bit. “I just think that the vintage things you wear suit you really well.”
You can feel your face contorting into a shy smile against your will, so you pretend to concentrate on finding a dress. A shop worker comes to help, and within minutes you have a queue of dresses to try.
Sunoo is by far the most vocal critic, and as you step out in the first dress, a yellow number with daisies and tulle, he vetoes it almost immediately. “This is prom, not a garden party,” he insists.
He does the same with a green dress that hugs you tightly pretty much everywhere. “How are you expecting to dance in that?” he asks scathingly.
“I liked both of those,” Jake says, bewildered. “You looked really pretty in them.”
“You did,” Jungwon says, grinning. “There’s still a lot to try on, though. And I think Sunoo’s right that that dress will be hard to move in.
You roll your eyes and continue trying on dress after dress. You have it narrowed down to an emerald green dress with intricate pearl embroidery and a lavender dress with rosettes along the neckline before Jungwon sticks his hand underneath the changing stall with a frothy, floaty, light blue gown with a full skirt and puff sleeves. It is light, delicate, and poofy, and it has a slight shimmer to it. As you slip it on, you know -- this is the one.
You step out, and Jake starts clapping almost immediately. Your dad’s eyes are getting teary, and you almost start laughing. Sunoo is nodding in approval, but Jungwon is looking at you, and his eyes are wide and his mouth is slightly open and he is smiling in apparent awe.
He is the first to speak. “Wow,” he says simply.
“Wow is right,” Jake says. “This dress was made for you! You look incredible!”
Sunoo stands up. “An easy winner,” he declares. “I think we deserve ice cream after all this.”
“Thank you, guys,” you say. “I love it.”
You keep stealing glances at Jungwon. He cannot keep his eyes off you.
* * *
Prom night has finally arrived. You are a tiny bit nervous, but mostly excited -- but your dad is pacing around the kitchen, full of anxiety. Jungwon is two minutes later than he said.
“I told you, Dad,” you say. “He texted me five minutes ago that he was on his way, and he lives across town. He’ll be here.”
“What if something happens to him?” your dad whispers in horror.
“Dad, please,” you say, shaking your head. “Don’t be ridiculous.”
It’s less than five minutes later that the doorbell rings. Jungwon stands there, holding a bouquet of flowers, in a suit with a tie that matches your dress perfectly. His eyes go wide again as he takes in the sight of you -- hair done, makeup on, smiling at him. He impulsively takes your hand and twirls you right there on the doorstep. “Wow,” he says again, shaking his head. “You look...magical.”
“Magical?” you laugh.
“Beautiful,” he breathes. “Absolutely gorgeous.”
“Doesn’t she?” your dad interrupts. “I did her hair myself.”
“You did?” Jungwon asks, turning his wide eyes on your dad. “You did amazing! This is for you, by the way,” he remembers, handing the flowers to your dad. “You really earned them.”
“Thank you,” he says, proudly taking the flowers. “It took me three hours.”
“I’ll be back by midnight,” you tell him. “Have fun at home!”
“Have fun at prom! But not too much fun,” he says sternly.
As you leave the house, Jungwon takes your hand. “I’m really excited,” he says, his smile contagious.
“Me too,” you say. “You look amazing, too.”
He looks down at his black suit, complete with pearl cufflinks and white gloves. “Sunoo helped.”
“I figured. Where are we headed?” you ask.
Jungwon nods at the corner of the street. A limo is parked there. You look at him, aghast. “That’s for us?”
“Yes,” he says, and starts to jog with you over to it. He opens your door and makes sure your dress is all inside before climbing in next to you and sitting beside you.
There is a bouquet of small white flowers in the limo. Jungwon hands them to you. “I wanted to bring you flowers too, and I actually think they’d look kind of nice in your hair.”
“Really?” you say, touched.
He nods. “May I?”
You nod back. Jungwon plucks a couple, and places them carefully in your hair, giving you goosebumps. He turns you back around when he’s done. “They look pretty,” he says, folding his hand in yours again.
The limo ride is full of easy conversation between you and Jungwon, although you are trying to be normal about the fact that your best friend since childhood has grown to be so handsome, and here you are sitting beside him looking like this, and he is holding your hand. After about half an hour, the car stops.
“Where are we?” you ask, looking around. Unbeknownst to you, you’ve driven to the top of a small mountain, and have stopped at a restaurant.
Jungwon helps you out, places your hand in the crook of his elbow, and you walk into the restaurant, where he says, to your shock, “I have a reservation.”
You are seated on an outdoor terrace, overlooking the valley. The food is amazing, and as you eat, you enjoy the view -- although you’re much happier just because you’re with Jungwon. You talk and laugh and compliment the chef, and Jungwon pays for everything, making your eyes wide.
Then, it’s finally time for the dance. It’s loud and fun, and you see plenty of friends there. But your favorite part is when during a slow song, Jungwon takes you outside, to a quieter spot where you can just barely hear the music, and pulls you in close for a dance.
You rest your head on his shoulder, but you’re near enough that you can feel his heart beating. He has long since ditched his jacket and gloves, and the feeling of his bare hand in yours has the butterflies in your stomach going crazy. How did you end up feeling like this with someone you’d known so long?
The dance ends, and you load back into the limo, exhausted. Feeling brave, you lean your head against Jungwon’s shoulder again and close your eyes. To your surprise, he wraps his arms around your waist and leans against the side of the limo, closing his eyes, too. You drift in and out of sleep together on the ride home from prom.
When you finally arrive back home, Jungwon nudges you gently. “Wake up, sleepyhead,” he teases softly. “It’s time.”
You get out slowly, walking hand-in-hand, and he spins you one last time before you arrive at the porch. “I had a great time,” he says shyly, looking down at you.
“So did I,” you say, your smile so big your face hurts.
The silence that falls between you is heavy and fraught with unsaid words. Finally, Jungwon blurts out, “I have to tell you something.”
“Me, too,” you say in a rush. “You first.”
“No, wait, you first,” he says, confused.
“You first,” you insist, shoving his shoulder playfully.
“Okay, well, um,” he says, nervously playing with his cufflinks. “I don’t really know how to say it. I’m not great with words. But I guess I just wanted to let you know that I like you. A lot. Like, I like like you.”
You just look at him. He continues, looking a bit distressed. “I know we’ve been friends forever, and I know this might make things weird, but it’s almost our last year of high school, and I don’t think I could live with myself if I never told you.” He finally meets your eyes again, taking your hand. “I really like you, and I’d like to see if we could possibly work as something more than just friends.”
You touch his cheek. “You took the words right out of my mouth,” you say seriously. And he beams.
Taking a step closer, he leans in slightly. “Would it be okay if I kissed you?” he asks softly.
“Please do,” you say. He laughs quietly before closing the distance between you.
The kiss is sweet, soft, and perfect. When he pulls away, you cover your mouth with your hands. “I can’t believe we did that!” you squeal.
He laughs, full-bellied this time. He puts his hand on the other side of your face and kisses you again, deeper this time. “I can,” he says happily, brushing your noses together and kissing your forehead before putting his hands in his pockets.
Turning to leave, he stops at the bottom step and looks up at you on the porch. “Goodnight, my princess,” he calls to you, his voice just reaching you like the music of the slow song you’d danced to with him.
You go inside, watching him surreptitiously from the window. Before he makes it down your driveway, he does a fist pump. You laugh, and go to tell your dad what you’re sure he’s dying to hear -- that you and Jungwon are officially together.

-------
Today was Friday.
Which also meant it was date night.
And with it being quite gloomy outside for the usual LA weather the two of you had decided that it'd be the perfect day to have a in-house date night. You insisted that tonight you would to try and cook for your man a simple meal of grilled cheese and tomato soup.
A skeptical but supportive Austin would go on to happily watch you not only blacken all attempts at the grilled cheese, but also burn the poor tomato soup that you forgot to add enough water to.
And once the tears started rolling, in real Austin fashion he'd wrapped you in a blanket and placed you on the couch promising to return. After cleaning up your food fail he pulled out all the ingredients he needed and made a hell of a good pan of pasta.
After some feeding, cuddling, finger fucking , and napping. The two of you had decided that a more PG-13 activity was in order. With that you suggested a game that you'd been wanting to play with Austin for a while. Let's get deep: 20 question edition.
" Okay. Here we go, number one." You listened to Austin while you giggled staring down at the stacks of cards in front of you and then back up at Austin, who looked on in amusement. " What movie was so sad that you would never watch it again? " He asked.
" Mmmm." You thought for a minute, there were plenty but really you could only narrow it down to two, " I think I would definitely have to say either Dumbo or Fruitvale Station. I can't choose. You can only watch both once." You affirmed.
" Watching Dumbo is a traumatizing experience that no child of any age should be subjected to at all. Like just the first thirty minutes was enough for me to need a lifelong therapist. And as far as Fruitvale Station goes...I feel that the content overview speaks for itself. It's a beautiful movie, but I could barely make it through til the end." You explained.
Austin nodded, " I seen Dumbo a long time ago when I was little and all I remember is this very strong urge to go hug my mom after watching. " He said making you smile, " But I haven't seen Fruitvale Station. No particular reason why, it's just never happened."
" Understandable." You nodded reaching to grab another card off one of the piles.
" My turn. Two. What's the weirdest thing you find attractive in a person?" You moved your eyes to look at him in curiosity.
Almost immediately he said, " People who floss."
Amused in question you went, " Really? Why? "
" Yeah. I don't know. But in a weird way to me. It shows that you care about yourself. Like babe, do you know how many people don't floss. Ever." He explained.
And the more you thought about it, he was right. Gross.
But lucky for you, you didn't have that problem seeing as your upbringing had made you a bit of a dental freak. So you hit all the points in that department.
" Yeah. I guess I see your point. " You said just as a thought passed in your mind, " So, do you find it attractive when I floss." You goofed biting a bit of your upper lip.
Laughing at you he leaned over to plant a hardy peck to your lips, pulling away to say, " Makes my dick jump every time, sweetheart." He half whispered sending the two of you into a short fit of laughter.
" Alright alright alright. Next. Three. " He moved to pick up a card, " Describe our relationship in three words." He asked.
Even though you had to think a bit, it didn't take you long before you had your three words, " Meaningful.....Honest.... Adaptive. " You answered.
Eyes glimmering in happiness and satisfaction Austin questioned, " I know these are suppose to be short but, care to elaborate please."
" Well, I feel it's meaningful because literally almost everything we do has some type of meaning behind it. Like when you got me the fern. Or when I gave you the blanket. There's always some type of love behind everything. Plus you mean so much to me and in-turn I mean so much to you, which I guess in general terms makes us meaningful..right?" You giggled trying your best to explain your thoughts in the best way you could.
But Austin understood what you meant, he felt his heart swelling bigger and bigger by the moment, " I see. So what about honest?"
" I feel our relationship is also built around honesty. I know I've told you this before but throughout my life I've encountered a great deal of liars and that's something that I really didn't wanna come into my adult life with. Unavoidable I know. And especially in a relationship. " You began, " But with you, from the day that we sat down, listening to you be so open and honest with me when at the time I was just a complete stranger to you. It made me feel something. And from then on I've never ever had to second guess anything or feel like your keeping things from me. It's refreshing and I value that." You explained.
Austin listened intently thinking back to the first hours the two of you had spent together talking after he'd finished reading you the book. Hearing you talk about how surprised you were hearing Austin talk the way he did shocked him a bit. He hadn't really ever realized just how personal the two of you had gotten in that short amount of time. But to him now, that was just proof that this was something special from the start.
" And finally I think we're adaptive because whether it be your schedule or mine that keeps up from doing traditional couples stuff. We make it work. We adapt to whatever challenge we face together. And that's important." You finished offering a smile.
Austin return your feeling of content displaying a smile of his own. He was so happy to be with you. And to be building the kind of relationship where it's foundations were things like these. Things that would help the two of you last, because all in all. That was goal.
" I think all of that is really accurate and beautiful, mama. I love you." He said reaching for your hand to bring it to his lips and press a gentle kiss to it.
" I love you, Aus." You returned reaching that same hand to palm his cheek.
The two of you continued your little moment before moving forward.
" Number four. Name something that you wish you could do but can't." You asked.
Teasing Austin said, " Gain the ability to say no to you."
You rolled your eyes playfully. " Be serious, Austin."
Laughing some more he says, " I am being serious, woman. You have no idea the power you hold over me. It's like you just know all you have to do is bat those pretty lashes at me and say please, to turn me into a sucker." He informed.
Your smile widen, " Really? "
Austin nodded leaning back against the couch, " Awe don't be coy. Really, mama."
You sounded a ' Hmmph '.
" Well I'll just have to keep that in mind then, huh?" You said shooting him a glance.
Smirking he replied, " Don't go getting too many good ideas."
" I won't."
With that he leaned up to send a squeeze to your thigh before reaching and grabbing another card.
" Mm. This is a good one." Austin's lips twitched up into a smirk while he shot you a look.
" Oh god." You laughed rolling your eyes, " Dare I ask? "
" Yes, please dare." He wiggled his eyebrows and you laughed, " Go ahead then."
" Five, If there's a particular part of you I should touch to get you in the mood. Where would it be?" He questioned.
Playfully humming while placing your pointer finger to the corner of your lips, the curiosity of wanting to know where he thought it was himself popped in," Before I answer where do you think it is, Mr. Butler?"
" Well, honey." He sighed leaning back against the couch," Based on months of bountiful research and exhausting observations. I'd have to say it'd be your neck."
Dammit.
He was right. You loved when he touched your neck. It always left you breathless in more ways than one.
" You sure, " You challenged figuring to keep your cool," Because if I recall your always touching my thighs."
And it was true. If the two of you were laying down to read or watch a movie Austin either had to have his head rested in your lap or hands stuffed between the crevices of your thighs. In the car, Austin only drove with his left hand because his right was specially reserved for your thigh. Whenever your being a little bratty or you say something about yourself that Austin isn't fond of, you better believe he is going to send a good little pinch to your thigh before kissing the spot all better.
" That's because their my particular part of you that gets me in the mood." He informed looking at you while gliding a singular finger up your thigh to the hemline of the shorts you wore. Still never dropping eye contact he continued, " But I know it's your neck because whenever we make love and I run my hand across your neck or decide to take a good little grip on it. That my love, is when you come for me the hardest." He finished.
By now that same finger had turned into a full hand that had found it's way up to get a nice gentle but firm hold on your neck. He softly used it to pull you to him and place a nice sloppy kiss to your lips making a moan release from your throat.
Pulling back he let go with a smug grin on his face to your annoyed but disheveled expression before motioning for you to draw a card while you tried to collect yourself.
Once you had settled the waves below, you a bit shakily grab the next card, clearing your throat, " Okay. Six. What is one activity that makes you feel alive?"
Without a doubt Austin knew his answer, " Easy. Horseback riding. Nothing like making that bond with a horse, the trust you build with them is pure. And then being out and open with nature. Clearing your mind and body. It's refreshing." He explained. " I think that's why filming The Shannara Chronicles was one of my favorite projects so far." He furthered grabbing a sip of the Yerbamate on the table.
" Yep and I'll have to take your word for it, babe." You quickly chirped making Austin sigh.
Ever since you and Austin had stumbled on the topic of horseback riding one day and you had revealed to him that while you thought horses were absolutely majestic and beautiful from a distance, under no circumstances would you ever consider getting on one. Period. And to him this was a great injustice...almost as big as when you told him you didn't like PB & J's.
You shuddered at the thought.
" Baby for the thousandth time. I'm telling you it's not as scary as you think it is. And you won't know until you try it. That thing with the girl was just a freak accident. That's a exception." Austin tried to argue but still you just shook your head unphased. You knew what you'd witnessed all those years back and you were good.
" Austin." You started, " The poor girl broke her back and part of her collarbone after one of them threw her off and fell on her. I seen it happen. It's like he WWE smushed her ass on the ground." You recalled watching a friend of a friend in high-school's scary interaction with the creature. It was terrifying. " Plus I'm pretty sure that she wasn't exactly ever the same in the membrane after that either." You added thinking about some of the antics the girl had gotten into post injury.
Austin blew out a breath, " Honey, while I think the situation is terrible. I'm pretty sure there was other factors that went into the happening. But I'm telling you that it's not normally like that. You just have to trust yourself and the horse."
Hearing him you still you were unchanged and really wanting to chance the topic so you came up with the compromise, " Okay okay okay. I hear you, Aus. And I'll think about it some more okay." You suggested shooting him a look to send the message that you were ready to move on.
Taking the hint he settled for what you were giving with a somber smile and moved to pick up another card, " So the next one is a little heavier, if that's alright?" Austin questioned staring down at the card.
Feeling like you could fully trust him you nodded, " Go head, babe." You prompted preparing yourself.
" Seven, in your opinion which is worse. Emotional or physical cheating? " He asked looking directly into your eye line.
" Oh." You spoke. It wasn't like you couldn't answer or that this wasn't something the two of you hadn't discussed. It was just a bit of a uncomfortable topic was all.
" Well being honest..." You trailed looking over to his face that was locked in on yours.
" Yeah." Austin encouraged.
Taking a second to collect your thoughts you began, " Like I said before, cheating no matter what is a deal breaker for me. But, being honest I think their equally as bad in opinion. I know anyone can argue it anyway. But the way I see it is that it takes something emotional in the first place to drive someone to cheat physically. I feel like if we're in a exclusive relationship where we're trusting and committing our bodies to only each other and you go and share that part of you with someone else it's a betrayal. And same thing with emotional. If we're in a relationship and I'm giving my all to let you know that there isn't anything that you should feel like you can't come to me about, and you still go and share those parts with someone else. That's also pretty bad so..." You finished looking him directly in eye.
Austin nodded taking in what you were saying completely. This wasn't his first time hearing you express your expectations when it came to this type of dishonesty, but it was good to hear again all the same, " I hundred precent agree with everything you've said. And vice versa over here. I think our communication is good enough to where we can communicate our needs effectively to each other. But I still want you to know that we're never going to get to that point, honey. That's one of the reasons that ring is on your finger. It's a promise." Austin sincerely confessed making your heart expand.
You peaked down at the promise ring on your finger and then back at Austin.
" I know."
" Good."
" Alrighty moving on. Eight. Is applesauce suppose to be warm or cold? " You posed.
" Cold." Austin immediately responded, " That's the only right answer."
You nodded, " I whole-heartedly agree. And I'm glad to know that you aren't a nutjob. "
" Noted. Next." Austin laughed picked up a card, " Nine. What is something that you wanna like but just can't? "
You sighed in faked despair, " Saunas. I really wanted to be that girl. The insta-fit chick that has the whole sauna self care bit going. But I realized how much I really don't like being sweaty unless absolutely necessary. " You informed to a smirking Austin.
Before he could open his mouth you reiterated, " I SAID ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY."
His hands shot up in defense while he snickered, " All I was going to ask was if you wanted to get sweaty later. But seeing as that wouldn't be absolutely necessary. I guess not." He shrugged.
Smacking your teeth you grabbed a pillow to childishly toss at Austin while you tell him that getting sweaty with him will always be absolutely necessary in your book.  " I'll hold you to that." He says shooting you the infamous look.
" Look forward to it. But first we have to finish this before we start something else, " You remind him picking up a new card, " Ten. Name the most fond memory you have with your moth-" You stopped mid- question instantly regretting asking, you hadn't meant to bring it up.  Idiot.
Quickly you tried to shift and grab another card while shooting him a sympathetic look, " I'm sorry, babe. I- I should have read the card in my head before I read it out lo-"
But he halted your movement softly grabbing your hand, " It's okay It's alright, B-"
" No, Austin it's not I sho-"
" You should just go ahead and let me answer. I promise it's okay. Matter of fact..I want to." He said holding your eye contact to show you he was sincere until you agreed leaning back.
" I know I've said this in interviews before, but growing up not to faraway from Disney and Knotts Berry, my mom and I would go all the time. Finish all my homework earlier in the day and then drive over. We used to spend hours riding the rides or just sitting on the park benches and talking. Because I was so shy and homeschooled on top of it she was bestfriend. I could sit and talk to her about anything....God I miss her." Austin reminisced bringing a smile to his face. You could see the tears forming in his eyes and in return yours did the same.
Instinctively you reached out to him which he accepted offering you a spot on his lap.
You held onto him in silence drinking in his warmth and touch while enjoying the quiet comfort you were offering through the silent intimacy. The two of you stayed just like that for awhile. Your head against his chest listening to the melody of his heartbeat and feeling the weight of his head rested on yours. His hands ran up and down your spine gripping and rubbing.
You felt oddly harmonious with each other.
The two of you stayed like that before you let go when the brilliant idea of desert popped in your mind. Remembering that Beatrice had dropped off a royal raspberry drizzle cheesecake. You went to the kitchen coming back with two plates carrying carefully sliced pieces. You were sure this would lighten the mood.
Austin smiled taking his plate and offering you a " Thank you, baby." And a kiss to the temple.
From there you resumed your game.
" Eleven. What is the most precious or important thing you own? " Austin asked before taking the bite of cheesecake you were offering.
" Um. " You sounded setting the desert plate on the coffee table, " Well, babe. I'm gonna have to cheat a little bit." You confessed.
" Oh. How's that." Austin inquired.
" I'm gonna have to list some things." You confirmed.
Smiling Austin says, " I'll allow it."
" Good. Okay so the most precious and important things I own in no particular order is my promise ring, the blanket my mom made me, our fern, my mother's ring, and my lucky smiley hat." You listed.
" You know I love when you wear that hat." He laughed, " You always look so cute. Remember when you wore it when we went to go see the jazz band in the park. Everyone tried to steal it off of you."
" Yeah it was quite interesting. Having to fight off people with John Coltrane playing in the back."
"  But anywho. Twelve, If we were role playing. What would you dress me up as? " You bite your lip waiting on his response.  You were extremely curious to hear his answer.
You had to adjust yourself a little bit as you felt the gates to your 'oasis' starting to open up even more than earlier from the way he was looking at you.
" Honestly? " Austin's eyebrow raised.
" Of course. Wouldn't want it any other way." You responded.
" Well, even though it may sound cliché. In my younger years," He laughed, " The whole French maid thing intrigued me for a bit."
Your mouth twitched in a smile, " Know what. I'm not surprised. That checks out."
" What?! What's that suppose to mean? "
You laughed at his playfully offended expression while he clutched his chest, " It means that you seem like a french maid kind of man, babe. Classy. You already have this old school charm to you. So it's on-brand that you'd be into that." You elaborated.
He looked at you a second before saying a simple, " Thats fair. "
Tilting his head at you he continued, " So, if a little french maid outfit just happened to appear in your size around here somewhere. And I called to say my office may need some dusting...would you be willing to oblige." He suggested leaning over and biting at his lip.
You leaned in and said, " Oui."
He groaned and blushed a bit in response moving to grab another card only to laugh when he read it, "Right on topic. Thirteen. How many children do you want someday? "
" Um...uh..well it really depends. When I was younger I always wanted to be like cheaper by the dozen or the mine, yours, and ours family. " You giggled thinking about how you wanted a brood of children to homeschool, make three meals a day for, and be driven absolutely crazy by. But as you got older and life took it's fuzzy fun filter off and you began seeing the true colors of the world, that life started to seem less and less ideal.
You caught Austin's face which was mixed with curiosity and glee. Even though you guys had had some conversations here and there that involved kids he'd never heard this from you before. He was intrigued, "Seriously you wanted twelve kids. You with twelve kids?" He repeated for emphasis.
You laughed, " Yeah. Believe it or not. I like kids and I love my nieces and nephews even though I don't get to see them as much as I'd like. So, in a perfect fantasy world. But being realistic though. I think I would like two or four. I wanna have enough but not too many to where I won't have the energy or the time to give them all as much equal time and attention." You explained.
" I get that. And I like that it's even numbers. So no one will ever be left out of games and they'll be able to pair up when we go out to fairs or do activities." He added with a gleam in his eye.
Austin couldn't lie and say that hadn't thought of what life would be like settling down with you and hearing little footsteps roam the halls. Some could say it was too soon to be thinking about things like that, but he couldn't help. You made him want a future with you.
And vice versa.
" Exactly. Don't want anyone getting lonely." You agreed trying to play off the blush that had captured your face. You pulled a card, " Fourteen. What's your favorite thing about me?" You asked.
" There's so many different things, honey." Austin sighed trying to rack his brain to be able to just pick one thing, and then he said it, " Your unflinching ability to be kind to everyone."
Your twisted up your face, " Really, you think so? "
It wasn't like you were saying that you thought you were mean. I mean sure you did your best to try and be nice and kind to everyone you came across, but you weren't the type to just stick that label to yourself.
" YES REALLY. " Austin emphasized, " You'd literally give anyone the clothes off your back and shoes off your feet. You never cease to amaze me with the grace you have with people even when they don't deserve it. Especially in that situation with the Paps the other week. I know it took a lot not to respond to the name calling and picking but you just kept going and even told the man to have ' a blessed day'." Austin recalled the icky interaction you'd had with paparazzi while out with some friends.
Shaking your head you waved him off, " I just do what I was raised to do. It's a natural thing. Can't sweat that." You said.
And that's exactly what I want you to teach our children. Austin thought.
" Yeah, babe. I know. But it still adds to your amazingness. " He concluded picking a card, " Alright. Fifteen. Where is somewhere you've always wanted to go, but never been? "
Your answer was almost instant, " Italy."
Austin blinked fast smiling, " That was fast."
You shyly grinned, " Yeah I know. I didn't mean to say it that fast but that's my number one. I've just always been fascinated by the food and culture. And I really feel like I wanna go and immerse myself in it. Ya' know experience it for myself." You told him of your dream.
It was true too. You could see yourself having authentic pasta and taking walks along the rivers. Finally trying pure gelato. Visiting different museums and taking rides on the gondola. It might sound like cliché tourist behavior but you wanted it all.
Austin was taking note of how you lit up while talking about the idea of visiting and decided to slip that note into his pocket for later.
Once you'd finished your mini ranting you picked a card, " Sixteen. Name something that you're weirdly good at? "
Austin noodled on the question. Then you watched him grab one of the unused napkins as he started to twist and pinch it in his hands.
Curious you asked, " What're you doing, my sweet baboo? "
Feeling fuzzy at the name he responded, " You'll see. Just wait a second, honey."
So waited and watched him. You found it cute how concentrated he looked.
And before you knew it. He was handing you a beautifully crafted rose napkin.
" Awe Austin." You gushed. " It's so cute. How'd you learn to do that? "
" Ah'. It's just something I randomly picked up once. But I think I've gotten pretty good at it over the years." He said.
" I hope you know I'm going to force you to do this with all our napkins now, right." You teased.
" That's fine. Anything for you, mama." He moved closer to you now wrapping a arm around you.
You didn't know why but him saying that, had made something jump in you. Something hot.
And the closer he got, the more you looked at his face. And the more you looked at his face, the more you wanted to sit on it.
Not being able to help yourself you managed to move in and capture your his lips with yours. They were always so soft.
After a minute almost reluctantly he pulled back catching apart of his breath, " Woah, Mama. Wait a minute. As much as I'd love to keep going. Don't you still wanna finish the game first? " He asked cupping your face with a hand.
"Nope." You popped the P, " Not really." You spoke before pulling him back in. He groaned in your mouth at the added friction you brought by started to grind slowly into his lap.
Still once more he found the strength to move away, " You sure?"
You nodded, but just then a funny little tease came to mind, " Know what. Actually, I do have one last question honey." You said running your against his cheek.
" Go for it, darling."
" Final question. What's your favorite sex position." You questioned positioning yourself up some more. You could see the fire dancing in his eyes and from the way he licked his lips you were sure there were fiery thoughts that accompanied them.
He sighed biting his bottom lip, " Well. If you must know. As old fashion as it may sound. I'd have to say missionary." Taking a squeeze of your ass.
" Why? " You coyly asked.
" Because I like to be able to look you directly in the eye when I make you come over and over again. The faces you make, always looks like art. Care to be my muse? " He asked taking his hand away from your face to move it along down to your throat.
And with that all you could do was nod before you found yourself on your back, on the couch looking a pretty man in the eye while he gave you pretty amazing orgasms.

13 for the writer's ask?
I read your tmnt work but really, any fandom you'd like to share too.
Tumblr media
Question 13: What are some must-read fanfics in your fandoms? Why do you admire these, and how have they impacted your works?
Question 19: How has your experience as a fanfic reader impacted your experience as a fanfic writer?
13: Oh, my goodness. Listen. I have read and fallen in love with more fics than I can shake a stick at. I've been reading for a very long time, but I will give you as best an answer as I can. Please be aware that some of these fics are NSFW, and some of them I don't know if they are still up, it's been so long since I looked for them. edit: I limited it to ten, because I could feel myself spiraling down memory lane.
If you aren't familiar with @tmnt-tychou When Leo Met Mona, you should start there, since I'm gonna assume since you're asking me you are in the TMNT fandom. - I love her work and the way she writes romances with the turtles, and I know she's impacted my writing because I have a whole fic that has one of her characters in it.
I have really enjoyed @afreakingdork 's work, TMNT fandom as well - they're one of those writers that twists things in interesting ways and withholds information, and I love how I'm always kept on my toes while reading.
Oh, Son of A- by StrivingArtist on AO3, Hobbit fandom (Fili/reader) - I love this story simply because the author took a long break in the middle, and then came back and finished it. It's completed, and the story is funny as all get out. Took that 'modern girl falls into middle earth trope' and knocked it out of the ballpark. I still cackle over it.
Eidolon by Llanval on AO3, Marvel fandom- unfinished, but poetic, the imagery and storytelling is startlingly haunting. I would go out on a limb and say the author was a fan of E.T. Hoffman.
Alabanza by brandyllyn on A03, star wars (Poe/reader) - it's just a romance that really stuck with me, and I thought it had a really interesting take on how Poe actually meets reader.
Lost Valor; Forgotten Stars by rinskiroo on AO3, star wars (Poe/ofc) - this is a fic that I still don't understand fully to this day, but I know it was drawing on lore from multiple points in star wars history. I would read it again, probably will this weekend. Really highlights the difference between the resistance and the rebellion.
Earning my Wings by warqueenfuriosa on AO3, star wars (poe/reader) - I really connected with this reader, and gosh darn this fic is just funny. and believable.
anything shootybangbang on AO3 writes. They were someone I found while deep into red dead, because we both explored the same imagery on the duality of man and beast. The way they write poetry into their stories is just mesmerizing.
We Were Only Ever Stardust by PardonMyManners on AO3, rogue one fandom - oh this one made me cry. I was really into how the RO fandom took star crossed lovers and found family and just drove a knife into everyone's heart with it
Theres a whole rogue one series by angel_deux on A03 that starts with a fic called Hard to be Soft. I found it 6 days after the movie released and read the whole thing whenever I could. Another one I'll have to reread soon.
19: Well, reading fanfic is how I became a fanfic writer, and definitely played a part in how I’ve gotten better at writing. To be very blunt, what I consumed usually found its way into my own writing. There were definitely fics that I read that made me realize what I did and did not like, and there were just as many ideas that captured my imagination as those I shunned. There were writers whose style I admired, who twisted words and withheld information in a way that caught my interest. There were characterizations I had no care for, for sure, and moments where I didn’t fully understand what the writer was trying to get across to their audience, but on a whole I always felt there was something to learn from whatever I had decided to read, and my writing responded like a puzzle picked from many different people over many different years.
I feel like this answer is maybe a bit meandering and not very precise, but please be aware I’ve been reading fanfic for almost two whole decades, across fandoms and platforms, and so I don’t remember things very vividly, but my writing is a timeline of who I was at the time.

Not from the ship meme specifically, but still a fun question I think. Where is the weirdest place you think that they've had sex? You've mentioned both on the roof at a formal Garrison function, and Zero G, so I'm interested in what else you can come up with lol
Alternatively, if you don't feel like answering that, who carries the other? I feel like this can be interpreted in two different ways:
1) Who physically carries who (which realistically should be Keith just because of his height and Galra strength)
2) Who carries who emotionally/through social situations? Which I find personally find more interesting of an interpretation😅
Oh I like this! Let me have a think....Okay, let's go!
Weirdest place they've had sex?
Okay, it's not weird in so far as the location itself but...well, maybe they should explain...
Pidge: It wasn't my idea.
Keith: Then whose idea was it?
Pidge: I just said we should find somewhere fast because, well, I wanted to. With you.
Keith: Okay, that's true. I guess it's not our fault that the door wasn't locked and we were distracted.
Pidge: That's right! It's totally his own fault!
Hunk: Wait, whose fault is it then?
Pidge & Keith: Lance's.
Lance: YOU DID WHAT IN MY ROOM?!
Pidge & Keith: Him/Her
Cue Lance spending the next ten minutes freaking out. He never lets this die.
Who carries who? Physically/emotionally/other?
Physically:
Pidge has tried, boy has she tried. She's snuck up behind him and tried to lift him by surprise, as though he's deliberately making himself heavier if he knows about it. She's offered him a piggy back, which doesn't go to plan as his legs reach the floor. He refuses to let her try a shoulder carry in case she hurts herself, and the one time she tried princess style she ended up with a pulled muscle. In the end she tried a fireman's lift, throwing him over her shoulder, if you could call him barely off the floor a win, but what she wasn't expecting was him to take the opportunity to grope her ass, which resulted in her squealing with a jerk, which toppled her backwards on top of him.
They leave the carrying physically to Keith after that.
Emotionally, Pidge is the more stable one when it comes to logic, she can see the bigger picture, and everyone is surprised when Keith's anger is running high in a meeting and she is able to calm him down in SECONDS. It was like someone flipped a switch that nobody knew existed, Pidge standing in front of him like the shield to his sword brought to life. She spoke quietly, taking one hand and looking up at him until he realised she was there. The two of them spoke, no one knows even now what about, but it took less than five minutes. Keith was logical again, the steam stopped coming out of his ears, and he was able to finish the meeting with minimal disruption. Afterwards, Iverson took Sam to one side, asking if he knew what his daughter was capable of and if they could bottle it.
That being said...Pidge is a firebrand in her own right! Keith isn't so good at talking her down, he just separates her from the situation, normally picking her up while she still yells at whoever was the target of her ire over his shoulder. No one knows what he does, but she's always so mellow afterwards, it's like he took the anger right out of her.
Yeah. They fucked it out.
Until Keith learnt that doesn't work for everything. Thankfully, for those of us who have them, in the future periods are pretty much extinct and very well controlled (please!) and only necessary for procreation, but hormonal symptoms still haven't quite been eradicated. The first time Keith finds Pidge crying into a jar of peanut butter while watching a movie he panics. Who died? Who does he need to kill? It's several sniffling minutes before she explains it to him and he realises he's never been in close enough contact with a period-having person before to realise just how bad the symptoms could be. Keith hits supportive boyfriend mode HARD. He makes up a trunk which he tops up whenever possible. Hand creams, essential oils, head pads, blankets, pillows, chocolate bars, pretzels in case she wants salty instead, a list of her favourite movies, music, and books laminated so she can just tick which one she wants next then it can be wiped away, her favourite drinks, water pouches to keep her hydrated, tissues, and some of his clothes, soft joggers and t-shirts he knows she likes because they are huge and comfy and smell like him. The first time he finds her tearing up over research he informs Matt he's taking her off for a few days and will have her back good as new. He scoops her up, takes her to his room and plops her in the middle of the bed. Next, he pulls out the trunk and opens it in front of her, telling her to take what she wants, everything or nothing, and to pick their first movie or music. Then, from the bottom, he pulls out a large plushie that looks suspiciously like Kosmo. That broke her. She started crying but this time because she was so touched. They spent the next few days in his room, just quietly helping her through her emotional breakdown until she was ready to face the universe again.
I have no idea if that's what you were thinking, but it's all I could come up with 😅

☁︎︎clouds disperse☁︎︎
“There you go, Miss Sandy! All better!” Mio smiled, wrapping up the last of her wounds.
Sighing, Sandy moved her arm, it was a little sore, but nothing some pain meds couldn’t deal with.
“Thanks..” She muttered, staring blankly at the wall.
Yuki and Mio shared a look, one of concern and worry.
“We need to cheer her up! But how?” Mio whispered to the older girl.
“Hmm…maybe some tea? That always helps Ms. Yashiro when she comes back from missions!” Yuki whispered back.
“Oh! Good idea! You go make it and I’ll stay here and try to make her feel better, ‘kay?”
Yuki nodded, heading out of the room swiftly. With an ever brightening smile, Mio looks back to girl sitting on the cot.
“So, what’s you’re favorite color?”
Sandy blinks, realizing a bit late that she’s being spoken to. “Oh..what? Mine?”
“Yes! My favorite color is pink, but yellow is also good.” Mio spoke, putting a finger to her chin.
“I guess, I really like blue.” Sandy shrugged, folding one leg over the other.
Mio almost beams with excitement, a toothy smile spreading across her face. Just then, Yuki returns with the tea.
“Here you are, Miss Sandy.” Yuki said, setting down the tea on bedside table.
“Thanks…uh…sorry, what were your names again?” Sandy asks with a nervous grin.
The girls waste no time in answering, bright smiles on both their faces. “I’m Mio, and this is Yuki!” Mio points to a slightly taller girl with
“We’re training under Miss Tsubaki to become healers! As well as medical professionals!” Yuki giggles, holding her head with pride.
Mio nods along. “Mmhm! You’re actually one of our first real patients, Miss Sandy!”
“Yeah?” Sandy arches a brow, her mouth quirking up a bit.
“Yup! Miss Tsubaki doesn’t really give any of the serious tasks to us just yet, since we’re so young, but she’s been a bit more lenient with letting us help out!”
Confused, all Sandy can manage is a weak nod. The most she’s been able to do for the past few hours is sit and zone out. After seeing what happened to Xen, there’s something creeping in her head. She was powerless to do anything to help Xen, and the only reason her best friend didn’t die was because of some weird magic-science shit. Sandy was useless, and an innocent person, one of the only people to ever understand her, almost paid the price.
How could she face Xen again? Wouldn’t that be selfish? Clearly something’s going on, and Sandy’s more than out of the loop. She’d just get in the way, right?
And almost as if sensing it, Mio frowned. “Is everything okay, Miss Sandy?”
Snapping out of her thoughts, Sandy looks up to the girl, whose now sitting on the cot.
“I’m fine.” Sandy says, clearly not fine.
Yuki and Mio share a look, but just as they’re about to say something, a figure rushes into the room.
“Yuki, Mio! Make some room!” Another girl demands, her bright pink hair the first thing Sandy noticed.
In a matter of seconds, the girls move things around until another cot is placed down, along with many machines beside it.
“We’re ready, Shiori!” Yuki shouts, and suddenly the room is crowded.
Two girls hurry in, carrying a man with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth.
Widening her eyes and scooting back a little, Sandy watched the organized chaos that was these girl’s process.
The girl with pink hair, Shiori, helps another with brown hair tied into braids lay the man down. They quickly start to hook the man up to the machines, putting what Sandy could only assume was an IV in his wrist. The man in question, however, just used his other arm to remove his cigarette and blow out smoke.
“Evenin’ ladies, how’ve ya been?” He smiles lazily, his thick southern accent sounding like something straight out of a cowboy movie.
“Mr. Mustang please, throw that out! Not only is smoking bad for your lungs, but smoking is extremely prohibited in the Infirmary!” Shiori commanded, glaring a bit at the man.
He only shrugs, taking another drag. “Tsubaki ain’t here, so what’s the big deal? This id’nt hurtin’ nobody..”
“Maybe you can survive it, but we have another patient in here, sir!” Mio pouts, pointing to where Sandy was sitting.
Taking notice of her, the man widens his eyes a bit, and Sandy is able to fully look at him. He’s got shoulder-length, messy blonde hair with a stubble along his jaw, as well as snake-skin boots and a flashy belt.
“Well now, didn’t see ya there darlin’, that’s my mistake.” He grins, his eyes dancing with amusement. “Who’s that? I thought y’all only took care of agents and special cases?”
The girl with twin braids answers, “She came in last night with Nyxx, who insisted that we take care of her and her friend.” She explained.
Nodding, the man, or…Mustang? Flicked his cigarette into a nearby trash can. “Friend, huh? Must’a been real bad if Nyxx had somethin’ to say about it.”
“That’s what I was thinking, considering he only really talks to Ada and Red.” Shiori expressed, looking up in thought.
More confused than ever, Sandy merely sat on the cot, staring as the girl’s worked around the man. Yuki, looking over, perked up.
“Miss Sandy! You haven’t had any tea!” She walks over, a gentle smile on her face. “Trust me, it’s good. It’s one of Miss Tsubaki’s herbal blends, it’s supposed to make you feel lighter!”
Hesitating, Sandy merely looks at the tea. “Thanks, but I think I’m alright.”
“Don’t be shy, uh, Sandy, was it?” Mustang calls from the other side of the room.
“Yeah.” She confirms flatly, already tired of this conversation.
“Well, you can trust me on all this tea business, alright? It really does make ya feel good, and who knows? It might loosen ya up!” He laughs.
Narrowing her eyes, Sandy turns from the man to stare at the tea once more. Then, with a sigh, she downs it like a shot. Well, all that partying experience really does pay off sometimes.
Not in this case though, because as soon as she set the cup down, Sandy felt every kind of dizzy. “The hell…?” She mumbled, her words slurred.
“Oh dear, oh no! Miss Sandy! You aren’t supposed to drink it that quickly!” Yuki panics, reaching her hands out then pulling them back.
“Haha! Alright! This girl knows how to party! I’ve only seen alcoholics down a drink in one swig like that, I’m impressed!” Mustang cackles, throwing his head back.
“Mustang! Do not encourage this!” Shiori grumbled, tightening the bandages she was wrapping around his waist.
“Ow! Hey!” He winced. “That’s where I got shot! Ain’t ya supposed to be a healer?!”
“We’re doctors, Mustang, not push-overs. Now shut up and settle down, otherwise I’ll just call Miss Tsubaki in here to deal with you.” Shiori threatened, and Mustang quickly shut his mouth.
Still recovering from the wooziness, Sandy could barely focus. Blinking rapidly, she gripped onto the cot.
“What was even in that?” She rubs her head, then the room begins to look wavy. “…the fuck?” Sandy mutters, looking around as things start turning into other things.
“Great, she’s having hallucinations.” The brown-haired girl sighed.
Clearly barely holding it together, Mustang struggles not to laugh, avoiding the glaring daggers of Shiori’s eyes.
“Oh goodness! Please, Miss Sandy, lay down! The effects will wear off in a few minutes, so please be still!” Yuki frowns, looking more like a frog with stars for eyes than a human in Sandy’s vision.
“This is fuckin’ craaaaaazzzzy…” Sandy giggles, falling back into the cot, staring at the ceiling.
“Miss Tsubaki is gonna be so upset!” Mio whines nervously, tapping her foot in worry.
Finishing up with Mustang’s injuries, Shiori heads over to check on Sandy.
“Relax, both of you, she’ll understand if you tell her it was an accident. After all, this girl isn’t a regular patient, so really the blame falls on no one.” Shiori reassures, still looking a bit displeased at the giggling Sandy.
And Sandy, well, she accepted the fact that she was definitely tripping. The ceiling turned into a blue sky filled with rainbows, and cupcakes walked with hairy legs. Laughing harder, she could barely contain herself.
“Holy shit, haha! This is so wild!” Sandy cackled, kicking her feet.
On the other side of the room, Mustang bursts out laughing as well.
“Mustang!” Shiori yelped, furrowing her brows at the man.
“Sorry, I-I just can’t! Look at her! She’s droolin’” Mustang slaps a hand over his, his whole body shaking.
“You know what, I’m just gonna go find Miss Tsubaki and let her handle this, Nanami, come on.”
Xen wakes up with a start, as the smell of burning fills her senses. Shooting up, she looks for the source, panic settling in when she can’t find it. Her breaths shorten, and theirs a burning sensation in her lungs.
“…en. Xen. Xen!” A voice shouts, shaking her shoulders harshly.
Centering herself around the voice, she grabs onto the hands, squeezing them. Unknown to her, tears fall down her face, steaming.
“It’s okay, it’s okay. You’re alright, Xen, calm down.” The voice comforts, sounding vaguely familiar.
“Wha…what?” She mumbled out, her voice sounding strained.
The sensation wears down, until eventually fading all together.
“There you go, that’s good.”
Looking up, Xen meets the eyes of Nyxx. His mismatched eyes are both a bit weary from something, but they also hold a bit of understanding.
“Nyxx?” She asks, struggling to figure out if this was real or not.
He nods, then takes his hands away from her shoulders. “You, uh, you had a lot of people worried, you know?” He rubbed his neck awkwardly, avoiding eye contact.
Still a bit confused, Xen tries to gather her bearings. She seemed to be in a hospital room, but nothing except Nyxx felt familiar. How long was she asleep?
“I did? Sorry.” She apologizes, fiddling with her fingers. “Uh, where am I, again?”
“You’re at EDEN Academy, a school that specializes in training people to help get rid of Ghouls, or become Devil Hunters.”
“Riiiiiight.” Xen arches a brow, a bit disbelieving. “And, why are you here? In my hospital room, I mean.”
He smiles softly. “I was just checking on you, Tsubaki asked me to, after all.”
A bit flustered, Xen is distracted by the distant sound of running. It’s a bit strange, Xen normally couldn’t hear that well, so how…
Just then, the door flies open, revealing a very distressed Sandy with a Coke in her hands.
“Xen!” She yelled, relief written all over her features.
“Sandy!” Xen squealed, smiling broadly.
Opening up her arms, Sandy wasted no time running into them.
“Jesus Christ, dude! I thought you were gonna die, don’t you ever do that again, got it?!” Sandy rambled, still holding the can.
Laughing a bit, Xen covered her mouth. “I promise, and, I’m glad you’re okay too, Sandy.”
“Haha, yeah…”
Sandy’s voice drifted off, and the telltale sign of her realizing something flew across her face.
“What’s wrong?” Xen wondered.
“Uhhhhh, it’s nothing! Just, uhm.. okay, don’t freak out, alright?” Sandy grinned nervously, squeezing the can with both hands.
A bit scared, Xen tried to figure out what Sandy was worrying so much about. “Okay…? What’s happening, right now?”
Sandy glanced to Nyxx, who looks equally as frazzled. He shrugs once he notices her stare, and Sandy turns back with a huff.
“Okay, okay. Just, seriously, it’s not a big deal, like, at all.” Sandy began, her eyes flicking to above Xen’s head.
Without thinking, Xen pulled on a piece of her hair, a nervous habit, then paused. Raising it up, Xen noticed the bright green that replaced her previously dark brown hair.
For a few moments, Xen lived in ignorant bliss, not comprehending what she was seeing. Then, the realization kicked in.
“Sandy…” She muttered, her eyes widening.
“Xen?” Sandy squeaked, cringing back.
“Sandy!” Her voice raised higher, looking to the other in terror.
“Yeah?!” Her shoulders bunched, her smile nervous.
“MY HAIR!!” Xen screamed. “IT’S GREEN! WHAT HAPPENED TO ME?!”
Sandy could only laugh, her tone anxious. “What do you mean? It looks great on you! Matches your eyes! Or…uh.. never mind. Do not look at your eyes!”
With more horror settling in her bones, Xen scrambles out of bed, toward what she assumes is a bathroom.
Her entire eye, from the iris to the sclera, it was all green. The only part being saved were her pupils, which remained black.
Her mouth fell in shock, and all she could do was stare. Until it became to much, then she screamed.
“WHAT?!?!”
lmao that was hilarious @3xen
