Not fanfic-related, but I really wanna get to know the mods more! :) when and how did each of you get into JUMP? And your personal member ranking, if you have one~

Awwww, that’s so sweet of you! 💕 As for me, I got into Jump in 2009 when I was 16/17. I was a long time fan of other Johnny’s groups, like Arashi and KAT-TUN, but I have no idea how I even came to like Jump itself. All I remember is suddenly watching a lot of stuff about them and thought they were all adorable – plus ‘Scrap Teacher’ and ‘Sensei wa Erai’ were two of my first Jdramas.

To be honest, I was in and out of the fandom for a long while but they always held a place in my heart; especially Ryosuke (lol). I honestly just started back keeping up with them last year.

This is so sweet ❤️ I got into HSJ in 2015, I was 21 at the time and going through a long term relationship breakup, it was overall a bad time and I was lucky enough to find these men! I found them through Masaki Suda (and by this I mean I found Yamada through Assassination Classroom 😂) I’ve always been a big visual kei fan so I knew about these idols (Johnnys) but I was never fond of the industry, so it took me a while to warm up to them and the music style (tbh pop idol music isn’t my taste, I’m actually dir en grey trash but it’s impossible not to love hsj just look at them 😭) Overall, I’m happy to have found them and I owe Yamada a lot for being my muse 💕

Heya!

I got into HSJ about a year or so ago thanks to Mod L^^.

She always talked about them so I decided to check them out and it’s never been the same since then. I distinctly remember her sending me a gif set of them and screaming in a message, “WHO’S THAT?!”, talking about Yuto hahaha. That was the day he became my main bias and me stanning the group as a whole. They were my first J-pop group, so they will always hold a special place in my heart!

For those who don’t want to read a novel about my life here’s the quick version!

I begged my friends to give me music for a story I was stuck on at the time. One of my friends has always had a very eclectic taste, and when she sent over links to me, the first one on the list (this list was like nine pages long no joke)–it was Hey! Say! JUMP singing “Boku wa Vampire” on the show with the crosses behind them (I can’t remember the show) and well, who needed the rest of the list!? haha I was DONE!

I was crazy in love immediately and fell face-first into the HSJ abyss! Yama-chan stole my heart in that moment when the camera zoomed in on his face and he did this little lip-snarl thing that was all attitude I was like “Hello, Gorgeous!”. This, this is mine now. lol I shall love it and protect it and take good care of it always.

I have a SUPER hard time putting the boys in order to be honest. It makes me feel really guilty–and it may be strange but it depends on what kind of order cause it’s different based on things like order of favorite singer, favorite dancer, favorite squishy, favorite to look at, favorite to dream of, etc. SO…I’ll just go with what you probably mean “overall favorite”.

I changed that to reflect more of what’s really true–I have a top 2 that really hasn’t changed–but the rest, HONESTLY, depends on the day and my mood and what they do and everything, cause like today? Yuyan would be 3, but he’s usually about 5, and Hikka is often, often, often 3, but sometimes it’s Keito. I’m sorry I suck! It seriously it hurts my feels to think I put anyone before or after my top 2 lol they’re all equal
