Summary: Who would have thought a single letter was able to give Rowan Khanna such emotional turmoil? As he is offered a choice to make, memories surge through him, ones that he isn’t that willing to revisit.

Rowan Khanna is the sort of person who likes to plan everything until the last detail. Nothing is skipped, nor forgotten. As usual, he had planned his day, and it was supposed to go down like this: waking up, eating breakfast, hanging with Lau and have lunch with him at some Muggle restaurant, and then relax once he is back at home. Not a super busy day, right? Nothing that’ll exhaust him too much. Maybe he’ll even have time to start reading a new book… but for that, he would need to finish the one he is currently reading. Only a hundred pages left, so it might take him… an hour or so to finish. Yes, he will definitely have time to read another book.

He had planned everything, even his outfit, because just like everyone else he liked looking somewhat good. His style was one that could be classified as “nerdy”. To Rowan, despite people’s narrow-mindedness, it was simply amazing, and if he liked it then it was all that mattered.

Having been nervously sitting on the edge of his seat for an hour, pondering over how uncomfortable that chair was, the silence was suddenly broken by three distinct knocks on the door. One. Two. Bang. One, then two again. That can only be Laurent King, who had the weird habit to make up little tunes whenever he had the opportunity to hit a hard surface. Quickly enough, the door swung open, and the two friends were soon in each other’s arms. After all, it has been months since they last saw each other, due to them being both extremely busy with work.

“Laurent! I missed you so much! Talking about new stories I’ve read isn’t as fun when it’s not with you!”

Laurent chuckled softly, and softly patted Rowan’s hair. During his first year at Hogwarts, he wasn’t exactly… a fan of the guy. Not at all, in fact. He had considered Rowan as too nerdy, too clingy, too… too much. But in the end, he had realized one thing: they were both extremely, terribly curious as well as intuitive, and Rowan quickly saw himself becoming Laurent’s friend and accompanying him through his multiple shenanigans.

“I missed you too, Ro. What’s up?”

Two glasses of wine were filled, and instead of following the planned routine they had agreed upon, Rowan’s impulsiveness surged forward. Before he could notice it, his eagerness to talk to his friend controlled his actions and pushed him to stray from their original plans. My new neighbour’s got a cat that keeps yelling. Farm work is doing extremely great! I started reading a new book, and it is wondrous… topics flowed out of his mouth, one after the other, and he came to realize one thing: how much he loved talking to Laurent King. Usually, a lot of people would order him to shut up at once… but not Lau. Never Lau. He would always listen, a smile on his face and a glint in his eyes. It was truly wonderful, to know that someone was interested in what he talked of… but still, sometimes he had to force himself to shut up in order to let Lau speak at once. He couldn’t be the center of attention at all times, after all ! 

When it finally was Laurent’s turn to speak, Rowan found himself entirely raptured by his words. Granted, he was a great talker, but he was also a great listener. He didn’t miss a single detail, fact, random trivia or opinion said by his dear friend. He could have sat there for hours, just listening to Lau’s musical voice.  Soon enough, he was fully updated about all the things that Laurent have been up to, and vice versa.

As Rowan was about to talk about how he was considering to get a Crup, a letter suddenly appeared between Laurent’s fingers. Blue, sort of frilly, with a heart shaped wax seal that was broken. What could it possibly be?

“Sooo… have you got the invitation, Khanna?”

Rowan’s eyebrows knitted together. “What invitation?”

“Don’t you know? Our man is getting married! And I heard the girl is pretty cool. She’s french, like me!”

Our man. How in the world was Rowan supposed to figure out who Lau was talking about ? Sometimes, that guy was impossible. He sighed, giving Lau his most disappointed stare.

“Which man, Lau? Andre? Ben? Jae?”

Jae isn’t the type of guy to marry, though. At least, to Rowan’s eyes. The closest thing he had to a love story was whatever he had going on with Chiara, and it had been… fairly awkward for all involved. Laurent shook his head at last, loose hair strands that had managed to free themselves from his ponytail flicking left and right.

“Nope. Bill. Bill Weasley is getting married, can you believe!?”

And all kinds of different feelings surged through Rowan Khanna: joy, jealousy, excitement, sadness, enthusiasm, anger. He forced a smile.

“I… haven’t got my invitation, yet”

“You’ll surely get it. You’re a friend of his, after all”

At this point, it was as if barbed wire had suddenly popped inside of Rowan’s throat, and gathering the strength to talk was almost too much.

“Yeah… I’ll get it… surely”

Hogwarts’ Library was definitely Rowan’s go-to place to relax. Not even study, just relax and contemplate life. And there was a lot to contemplate. His classes, his friends, his family, his future, his past… and yet, nothing came to his mind as he was sitting at his favourite spot, fact that left a bitter taste in Rowan’s mouth. Never before he had found himself like this, with nothing to ponder over. However, the gears inside of his brain kept on grinding in an attempt to provide him things to have deep reflexions over. This time, maybe he could try and figure out why– suddenly, he froze. A knot formed itself in his stomach, and his palms were quick to sweat abundantly. A few steps away, checking the bookshelves, was William, or Bill was he was known, Weasley.

He was looking absolutely beautiful with his shoulder length almost orange hair and sharp, yet friendly eyes. Immediately, Rowan’s imagination started running, seeing himself confidently standing up and talking to him, maybe even flirting with him… but imaginary Rowan was much more different than the real Rowan, who was still frozen on his seat and staring helplessly at the young man.

Come on, Khanna, it’s not that hard! He is a friend. Just stand up, walk to him, and talk! But about what? What is a good conversation topic? Trees? Yeah, trees sound good! But what about trees? Cats. Cats often climb trees. Should I talk about that? Try to figure out why cats love trees so much? No, that’s ridiculous! Get a grip, Rowan! Talk about… books! No, not books!

In the end, he gave up, and pulled out of his bag a book to read.

“What? What do you mean, you’re not coming!?”

Rowan’s invitation, received just a few hours ago, was now ripped into tiny little pieces and buried deep into the wizard’s trashcan. Said wizard was now looking at Lau, face expressionless and arms folded over his chest, looking as decided as ever: he was not going to this wedding, no matter how hard Lau was going to try and convince him. It was his decision, and it was 100% final.

“Because I’m just not! Do you remember the Celestial Ball, Lau? I didn’t want to go, and you forced me to tag along. This time, I’m not coming! Will make me save a lot of money too, no need to buy fancy outfits or whatever…”

He mumbled something else, something unintelligible, before flicking his gaze right back to his friend who looked absolutely scandalized. Why would he not come to Bill’s wedding? This was about their friend! Their friend that they loved very much! Rowan… Rowan considers Bill as a friend, right? Lau mentally slapped himself after thinking that. Of course he considers him as a friend, or else he wouldn’t have let me approach him, the protective little shit he is. Setting himself the objective to convince his friend, he took a step forward, scanning his face as if he could possibly find the reason why he didn’t want to come. Rowan sighed, immediately turning away.

“I-I just don’t wanna go, Lau! That’s all!”

To Lau, however, it looked as if his friend was lying. Completely lying. Why? Simple: he looked stressed, anxious, even desperate. As if he was hiding something from his friend. Something he never wanted to be revealed.

Instead of mentioning that, however, his impulsiveness took over, and it started speaking through him:

“That’s all? Yeah, that’s all a load of stinking bullshit. You’re Bill’s friend, and you know it. He sent you that invitation, he wants you there!” the redhead paused briefly, rubbing his temples. “Do you really want him to be sad during his wedding? During what might be the best day of his life? Because you simply don’t want to come?”

Without meaning it, his tone had sounded as if he was blaming him for trying to ruin Bill’s happiness… and unfortunately Rowan took Lau’s words that way, twirling around and facing him with a thundering gaze.

“Get. Out!”

Please stay. I’m so, so lost, Lau.

“What? No! I’m not getting out until I convince you t-”

“OUT!”

But once again, Rowan’s thoughts pleaded his friend to stay, to understand that he wasn’t himself at that moment. However, no matter how much Lau claimed he knew Rowan, he didn’t know him enough to see that he was truly upset and in need of help.

So instead of sitting down and trying to reason him, he took his things and left.

“Bill…?”

The Gryffindor, who has been focused on his Transfiguration homework, quickly raised his head and smiled as he recognized Rowan Khanna. Despite the fact he had an exam coming in the next few days, he closed his book and slipped it into his bag.

“Rowan! What can I do for you?”

Because he immediately noticed one thing: he looked worried. Nervous. Desperate, even. But for what…? Gently, Rowan leaned down, his cheeks reddening.

“Can we… uh, can we talk? Both of us? Together? You and me?”

Ugh, shut up, I think he gets that you want to talk to him alone! He was quick to mentally give himself a punch, and focused back on Bill who was, thank Merlin, nodding. “Sure. Let’s move somewhere else, though, I don’t think that the Library is the best place for conversations…”

He quickly shot a glance in Pince’s direction, and Rowan had to hold back a giggle. Together, they made their way outside of the library, and as soon as Bill closed the door behind him words started flowing out of Rowan’s lips, without him being able to control it:

“Is there anywhere you wanna go? We can go the Clocktower Courtyard, the East Tower, the Common Room- well, wait, we’re not in the same House, true, er…”

This is getting worse and worse. Bill, however, chuckled softly and even placed his hand on Rowan’s shoulder as a comforting gesture. Shivers ran through his entire body, electrifying him, and as Bill started smiling he knew one thing: he was a complete mess for that boy. With hope, Weasley appreciated messes.

“We can just do this here in this hallway. Unless it’s important…? You look kind of pale, Rowan. Did Lau pull a prank on you again?”

That was sufficient to make him laugh.

“No, no pranks… just…”

His heart was hammering against his chest, threatening to burst out at any moment. Quite a gory thing to picture, honestly.

“Just what, Rowan ? You really look weird…”

Just go for it. Take a deep breath, and go for it.

“Would you… like to go out with me?”

This is a bad idea.

No, this is a terrible idea.

This is a horrendous idea.

Rowan’s mind was spinning to the point that he was starting to feel sort of dizzy, and he had to stop mid-step in order to press himself against a tree, taking a couple deep breaths. Why did I even accept? Oh yeah, because Lau gave me his cute Puffskein eyed-look. Curse you, Laurent! He felt a hand land on his shoulder, and jumped in surprise until he realized that it was Lau’s.

Of course it was Lau’s, they were going to this… thing together. A smile was etched on his friend’s features, and for a second Rowan envied how relaxed he looked. If only I could be as calm…

But there is no way this will happen.

He looked beautiful.

Exactly as Rowan feared. He thought his scars might have made him look uglier, and that as a result Rowan might turn out to be less attracted to him… but the opposite happened. He looked strong. He looked badass. He looked ethereal.

Just like his wife, who was dancing with him, a smile on her soft features. Pretty people marry pretty people, I suppose. Wasn’t I pretty enough for him…? He scanned the crowd around him. Everyone was happy, clapping their hands and cheering for the newlywed couple. Rowan tried to imitate them, to plaster a smile on his face, but he found himself unable to do so. He could only stare at the two lovers, and notice the way they looked at each other. With pure, unfiltered love. Will I ever know this kind of love…?

He could still remember their conversation, right outside of the library. Don’t think of it, don’t think of it, you won’t handle it if you think of it while looking at them. Don’t ruin this wedding. It’s as Lau said: I can’t make him upset during his happiest d–

Their gazes met.

And Rowan’s heart crushed.

He had said no.

Rowan, I like you a lot, you’re a great friend… let’s stay this way.

He said no, and he has been so kind. So caring. So careful to not offend him.

Why was he so perfect? Why was he so unattainable? Why was this so unfair? Gritting his teeth and holding back tears, Rowan stormed inside of his dorm and threw himself on his bed, sinking into the pillows as if he was trying to choke himself on them.

Invisible barbed wire grated at his throat, making it impossible for him to cry without pain. But he did it anyway. Because what is love, without a bit of pain?

For a moment, he considered giving up, but he quickly remembered something his mom would always tell him:

“Never give up, my boy”

He won’t give up on Bill. Not entirely.

Hope will stay. And linger. And tug at him occasionally.

And he will keep it as his dear companion. Upon thinking that, a smile curled Rowan’s lips.

Maybe we will get in a relationship after all.

And marry

And live happy ever after, without any threat falling on us.

Two exhausts that are shaped like feathered wings stick out of the middle of the tanks. When used too much, overheats and needs to cool down before it can be used again. (The overheat and cooldown is the reload.)

Damage: 40 damage per second. Enemies caught in it receive an additional burn damage of 50 over a period of five seconds. Burn damage does not stack, if an enemy exits and re-enters the beam they do not get “reburned” unless the burn effect already wore off.

Projectile Speed: 20 meters per second.

Max range: 10 Meters

Ammo usage: 15 rounds per second.

Reload Speed: 1.5 Seconds

 Secondary Fire:  

Name: Phoenix Breath

Type: Beam. Fires a focused beam of flames, hit scan is smaller and more focused. Phoenix’s movements are heavily slowed while using this attack.

Damage: Instantly deals 120 damage, as well as burning the enemy hit by it. Phoenix’s burn damage deals 50 damage over 5 seconds.

Projectile Speed: 60 meters per second.

Max range: 10 Meters

Rate of fire: 1 shot per 1 second.

Ammo: 150

Ammo usage: 150 per shot.

Reload time: 1.5 seconds.

Casting time: 0.5 seconds.

 First Ability:

Name: Flare

Casting time: 2 seconds.

Damage: 30-60, deals burn damage of 50 damage over five seconds.

Area of Affect: 5 meter radius.

Duration: 5 Seconds.

Cooldown: 10 Seconds.

Details: Phoenix exclaims “Here, hold this” when using. Phoenix throws cone like object, that doesn’t activate until it lands on the ground or an object. Once activated, the cone launches two meters in the air and produces a cone of flames that covers a 5 meter radius. Enemies hit by it receive 30-60 damage depending on how long they remain in the flame. Enemies damaged by Flare receive an additional burn damage of 50 damage over 5 seconds.  

 Second Ability:

Name: Burst

Casting time: 2 Seconds.

Damage: Knockback.

Area of affect: 7 meter radius.  

Max Range: 2 Meters Vertically.

Cooldown: 8 Seconds.

Details: Phoenix exclaims “Back off!” when using. Steam builds up within the large tanks on Phoenix’s back, releasing a burst of pressure from the exhausts. Enemies within a 7 meter radius of Phoenix are knocked back, and Phoenix is launched, at the most, 2 meters vertically into the air.

 Passive Ability:

Name: Phoenix Wing

Details: By releasing small amounts of fire from the exhausts, Phoenix is able to maneuver in the air. While in the air, pressing jump will cause Phoenix to launch himself vertically, working as a second jump. The second jump does not reset until Phoenix has touched the ground again. Holding the jump button while airborne will cause Phoenix’s decent to be slowed, letting go of the jump button cancels this ability.

 Ultimate Ability:

Name: Purge

Type: Linear, Area of Affect, Beam??

Damage: 300 damage per second, burn damage of 50 damage over 5 seconds.

Max Range: 15 Meters.

Area of effect: 7 meter radius.

Casting time: 1.5 Seconds

Details: Teammates hear Phoenix say “Rise from the ashes!” Enemies hear Phoenix say “Ka nalu o ke ahi!” Phoenix anchors his flamethrower, bracing him in place. The tanks on his back move over his shoulders, releasing a wave of fire straight in front of him. The fire travels up to 15 meters in the direction he is facing and covers a 7 meter radius. While using, Phoenix is immobilized, making him vulnerable against aerial attacks and attacks from behind. Useful for area control, or to protect your team if caught in a Zarya’s Graviton Surge. Phoenix’s Purge instantly cancels out, and is cancelled out, by Mei’s blizzard. The Ultimates will instantly end upon meeting, so if there is a second left in Mei’s blizzard and your Purge touches it, both Ultimates end, wasting yours and vice versa. Phoenix passively generates 1% Ult Charge every 3 seconds.  

 A character can get rid of burn by picking up a health pack, healing by support heroes does not remove the burn.

 Skins: 

Classic: Phoenix wears a gas mask over his nose and mouth, the mask is shaped like a beak. Wears armor over a long sleeved shirt, the armor to support the weight of his flamethrower, the sleeved shirt to protect him against heat. A large, armored glove is worn on his right hand, so he can hold his weapon when it overheats. Armored leggings and boots to also help him support the weight of his weapon. His armor and clothes are a faded red and orange, representing fire as well as a Phoenix. 

Rare Skins: 

Ash: Armor and clothes are white. 

Smoke: Armor and clothes are a mixture of silvers and greys. 

Smolder: Black with a red glow. 

Sulfur: Different shades of blue. 

Legendary Skins: 

Cadet Havika: Phoenix is wearing a classic Overwatch uniform/armor, his face is fully visible. 

Secret Agent: Recolor of Cadet Havika, with darker colors. 

Epic Skins: 

Phoenix: Phoenix is wearing a headdress that represents the mythological bird, his mouth and nosed are uncovered with this skin. Multiple feathers run down from the headdress, covering his body in feathers. Has gauntlets and armored boots that represent bird talons. Skin is colored mostly with reds and some oranges and yellows. 

Sun God: Recolor of Phoenix skin that is colored with mostly yellow and has some oranges and reds. Orange suns are drawn on random locations of the armor. 

Fire Dancer: Phoenix is wearing a grass skirt over a tunic, as well as grass like boots and bracelets. A bandanna that appears to be made of grass rests on his head, as well as a necklace of grass around his neck. Grass is dark green in color, tunic is gold. The exhausts on Phoenix Breath look like ceremonial fire dancing staffs instead of wings. 

Uluao: Recolor of Fire dancer, grass is brownish is color, tunic is white with black spots. 

Emotes:

Heroic: Phoenix pulls left arm toward his body, and raises up his flamethrower. 

Exhausted: Phoenix lays down on his back, sprawling out. 

Really?: Phoenix extends left hand forward, looks to his left, confused. Phoenix then looks forward again, extending his hand further. ‘

Research: Phoenix takes out notepad and begins writing in it, before putting it back. 

Technique: Phoenix spins in a circle, making a circle of flames, he then jumps and spins in the air, making a vertical wheel of fire. 

Unbelievable: Phoenix puts his right hand to his forehead and wraps his left arm around his chest. Phoenix then shakes his head and snickers.

Character Lore:

Kekoa Havika grew up in a family of researches, growing up he was fascinated by the way some natural disasters, like forest fires, created new life. Kekoa spent a good amount of time studying rebirth through destruction, but only believed it should be allowed if natural. Kekoa had a great mind, and was good with technology. He had an energetic and carefree personality and joined Overwatch when he was in his twenties. He trained underneath Lena and Genji, while he looked up to researches like Mei, Angela, Winston, Moira and others. Kekoa had a great admiration for Mei and the Ecopoint crew, hoping to one day do research at Ecopoint. When Overwatch was disbanded, Kekoa went back to live with his family. The government was having his family research something that could benefit the unity between the omnics and humans. Talon had managed to gain Kekoa’s home address, and sent their agent Reaper to kill the researchers and steal the research. Reaper had happily taken the job as Overwatch Hero code name Phoenix was on his personal hit list. Kekoa was away from his lab doing personal research when Reaper arrived. Kekoa returned home to find his parents and younger brother murdered, all their research either stolen or destroyed. Upon watching the security footage Kekoa learned who was responsible for the death of his family. Kekoa vowed to destroy Talon and stop anyone from doing what Talon had done. 

Character Introduction: 

Phoenix: “Crime has risen, which shouldn’t be a surprise, given what they did to Overwatch. They disbanded our family, and yet they wonder how organizations like Talon grew to be so powerful. Of course evil people will take advantage of a world that lost its heroes! Which leaves a question, the people in charge of the world, how many of them can truly be trusted? I will kill Doomfist myself, and go after anyone who wants to do wrong to the world. I will make sure that what happened to my family will never happen to anyone else ever again! Talon thought they snuffed the Havika flame, well, didn’t they know, a Phoenix rises from the ashes!

Animated Short/Introduction:

Name: Reason

The story opens on the streets of a city, there are few lights as night had fallen. A group of Talon agents where running in fear, panting loudly as the ran as fast as they could. As the Talon agents came around a corner they say a large burst of flames erupt from down the street, engulfing the street. One of the Talon agents skidded to a stop before turning around, running down an alley. The sound someone flying overhead could be heard. A small cone landed at the end of the alley, shooting upwards and creating a cone of flames. The Talon agent stops and starts to turn around, Phoenix lands behind him no.

Talon Agent: “No, please,” Phoenix walks up to the agents and hits him with his flamethrower, knocking the agent to the ground. Phoenix uses his foot to press the agent against the wall, aiming his flamethrower at the Talon agent. The Talon agents mask had fallen off, the fear on his face fully visibly. Phoenix hesitates as he sees the Talon agent and his mind wanders to the past.

“Kekoa!” A woman called, walking around a research station.  It was a bright and sunny day, the sounds of the tropical island echoed in through the open windows. “Kekoa, wake up!”  

“Good luck with that mom,” a younger man who looked to be in his mid-twenties said, “Kekoa was up all night reading the research papers of Mei-Ling Zhou, and watching videos about Overwatch.”

“Go wake your brother up,” an older man said, he was typing while looking over some research notes.

“Yeah, yeah,” Phoenix’s brother sighed before he walked up some stares. Phoenix was younger and wearing a t-shirt and shorts. He was sprawled out in his bed, various research notes scatted on the desk beside his bed. Phoenix’s brother smiled as he jumped, slamming his elbow into Phoenix.

“Ow! What the?” Phoenix exclaimed as he shot up.

“Come on Kekoa, wake up,” Phoenix’s brother said as he started playfully pushing Phoenix.

“I am awake,” Phoenix laughed as he batted at his brother.

“I don’t believe you,” Phoenix’s brother laughed as he hit him again, “come on, mom’s been calling you.”

“All right, I’ll be down,” Phoenix yawned as he sat up.

“Don’t go back to sleep either,” Phoenix’s brother said as he left. Phoenix slowly got up and walked down to meet his family.

“Look who’s finally up,” Phoenix’s mom laughed, “good morning Kekoa.”

“Yeah, whatever,” Kekoa yawned.

“You got some mail today,” Phoenix’s mom laughed, “from some place called Watchpoint: Gibraltar.”

“What!?” Phoenix exclaimed as he sprinted toward his mom, who was holding a letter. “From Overwatch?”

“Yep,” Phoenix’s mom smiled, Phoenix opened it and pulled out a letter. Phoenix looked over it as everyone watched him.

“I don’t believe it,” Phoenix said, disbelief on his face.

“Aw, what’s wrong Kekoa, they turn you down? They charging you for harassment?” Phoenix’s brother laughed.

“No,” Phoenix smiled as he pulled a round object from the envelope, “they accepted me. I’m going to be part of Overwatch!”

“Congrats!” Phoenix’s mom said as joy filled the faces of all of his family members. Phoenix’s brother walked up to him, and nudged him with his elbow.

“So you might finally meet that Mei scientist you got a crush on?” Phoenix’s brother teased.

“I do not,” Phoenix laughed, “but I am excited, to meet her, and Winston, and all the others. Plus this means big things for the Havika family research!”

“It sure does,” Phoenix’s dad said as he stood up, “you’ll always have your family to call back on.”

“Right,” Phoenix nodded. The world seemed to change as Tracer was walking Phoenix through a base. Phoenix was looking around, amazement on his face.

“No I’m only here for a little while,” a voice called from the back of the room, “yes, Genji has been making great progress. I’m happy to see it, how’s it been in Antarctica Mei?”

“Mei!” Phoenix exclaimed happily as he pushed away from Tracer and ran up to the computer, “it is, you’re Mei! I’ve read all of your research papers!”

“Uh, thank you, who are you?” Mei asked.

“I don’t know who this is either,” Mercy said toward Mei.

“Ohmygosh!” Phoenix gasped in one, quick breath, “you’re Dr. Ziegler!”

“Sorry luvs,” Tracer laughed as she joined them, “this is Overwatch’s newest recruit, Kekoa Havika. He’s huge into research.”

“Mei, we need to exchange notes some time!” Phoenix exclaimed happily.

“Sure,” Mei smiled, “just ask Winston for my contact information, we can keep in touch.”

“Best day ever!” Phoenix exclaimed as Tracer pulled him away.

“Morrison just hasn’t been the same since Rialto,” Winston’s voice called from the room they were walking to.

“Well, can’t say I blame him,” McCree’s voice added. Tracer opened the door and she and Phoenix walked into the room.

“Aw, glad you made it, Jesse, this is our newest recruit, Kekoa Havika,” Winston said.

“Howdy,” McCree nodded.

“It’s Winston!” Phoenix exclaimed, stars in his eyes.

“Kekoa is a genius researcher, and he is quite talented with fire,” Winston said.

“That so?” McCree said as he walked past, “try not to burn the place down kid.” McCree said as he put a hand on Phoenix’s shoulder. The world returned to Phoenix aiming his flamethrower at the Talon agent. Phoenix lowered his weapon and picked the Talon agent up by his collar.

Phoenix: “Tell Doomfist, that Phoenix is coming for him.”

Phoenix let the Talon agent go and he sprinted away from the area. Phoenix walked for a while, eventually reaching a graveyard.

Phoenix: “I got your message Winston, and I agree, some one needs to do something. I can’t come back to Overwatch, I can’t do things they way they do.”

Phoenix pulled his badge out and placed it on a grave, he then turned around and walked away.

for the first 15~ years of your life, you had nothing

UNTIL ONE fine DAY

you were getting ready in the morning

looked in the mirror

and almost brought the house down with your scream

your parents thought you were dying tbh

just had very light blonde eyes in place of your usual brown ones

it took you some time to get used to the fact that your soulmate mark was your eyes

out of everything it was your beloved eyes

you looked in a few books and online and apparently, the most likely option is your soulmate mark is that their hair colour matches your eyes, and vice versa

you only hoped they didn’t dye their hair often

hes an idol honey, its gonna happen

your friends loved the fact that your eyes would change

you noticed that eventually your eyes went a bit darker but they were still a shade of blonde

safe to say you were used to it changing colours but this time you were awake and watching it

it was kinda late at night when you felt your vision going fuzzy

you got the mirror and sat there watching your eyes change like you’d just put in contacts

you sent a message to your friend about it before going to sleep finally

when you went to school to see her, she took a picture of your eyes to add to the small collection

she also made you listen to her music for the fifth time and this time it was drumroll please kpop

just some light stuff tho

some bts, exo and, you guessed it, seventeen

you felt somehow drawn to the last group and made a mental note to listen to them later

so, after school, you went to the corner shop, got some hair dye and headed home to relax

you sat with the hair dye developing while looking up Seventeen

tbh they were pretty good

you learned their names really quickly surprisingly

you really liked the performance team leader, he just stood out to you as someone you really really liked

he was hilarious to you 

you noticed he had kinda blue hair but didnt think anything of it, they all had dyed hair, one even had rainbow hair

you were watching the One Fine Day series, it had been out for a few weeks already but you still wanted to watch it

you payed attention to him a lot so you noticed his eyes

they were a really pretty colour of 

WAIT

IS THAT A FOREST GREEN I SEE

it was a little brown around the iris 

it was that moment you realised 3 things

his hair was the same shade as your eyes, complete with the lighter streaks and everything

your hair matched his hair almost exactly

the hair dye was ready to be washed out

hoshi on the other hand was yelling about how she couldn’t have chosen a nicer colour, she had to choose Joker purple

he was on a break after wonwoos soulmate had kinda told them to stop so she could focus on her studying (wonwoo au)

suddenly theres a slight purple haze and jun is laughing at him cos he looks simply stunning with bright purple eyes

once the haze cleared, he could finally look

admittedly it did look good

but still, joker purple?

you were so proud of yourself, this way you could tell if it was him or not

so when pictures emerged a few days later of hoshi with purple eyes, you knew that Kwon Soonyoung was your soulmate

you also grew to like the purple so that stayed for a while

and for a while, hoshi’s hair stayed blue, with the roots growing in so it greated a nice effect which looked really cool in you eyes

as the months passed, both your hairs changed, with his ranging in colours and shades, and yours changing from purple to yellow (which inspired woozi) and a soft pink and at one point, orange

you just done whatever colours would be wacky enough for you to make sure he was actually for real

then one day you went to Brooklyn, New York for a trip with your family

you were walking around, taking in the sights and the people

you had to pass the Borough Hall to get to one of the sights however

you had heard that some of seventeen, most likely the performance team was somewhere around in brooklyn but you couldn’t be sure

besides, you would spot them a mile off going by your eye colour which was a violent platinum blonde

you say a large crowd of people around the hall but thought nothing of it until you heard music playing as well

the voices sounded vaguely familiar, and you realised that the language twas not english, it sounded more like korean to you

the crowd was looking odd as well, and there was a camera moving between the people

could this be the magical seventeen in front of you

the odds were slim but it was possible

you got closer and the music shut off

they were all going off for a break it seemed

you saw two blondes, a ginger and a silver blue haired man

one was very VERY blonde, it almost hurt to look at him but the other

the other was a colour you’d seen a few hours earlier in the mirror

as if he felt something pulling him, Hosh looked up and started walking

some of the actors that had met their soul-mates recognised that look on their face, as did Hao who was standing off to the side drinking some water

the manager looked confused before hao waved him off

you felt the pull too and were walking fast towards the crowd

soon you were running and so was soonyoung

as soon as you reached the other, there was an explosion of colour and once it settled

his eyes were a multitude of all the colours you had ever dyed your hair and you could only imagine that yours were the same

the floor was stained with the colours of you both 

some people had splashes of colour on them

it was very bright

god only knows how you two looked

his lovely white clothes were stained 

thankfully they had another pair

after the Great Colour Explosion of 2017 you and soonyoung became very close obvs

you still gained colours when the other dyed their hair

you found out after Soonyoung and the boys left the door for the day and suddenly there was a neon pink haze  

when you checked in the mirror

you knew that he would be dead when he got home

as soon as you heard the dorm door opening you rAN

there was a protective circle but nothing could protect them from the vicious yell that came from the small bundle of fury running at them
