ok not to brag but eeeee i just went to a guest talk on my campus about like dogwhistle-adjacent stuff and use of obscuring/cushioning language in relation to bigotry and after the Q&A i asked the speaker for advice on what kinda field/degrees to pursue that explored these issues and whatnot and she was like thanks for your questions and i mentioned that this was my first semester of college and she was like oh?? from your questions I thought you were a phd student you're doing great!! like. giggling and kicking my feet i love it when that happens jfhdjkshdjs
