also idk why i wanna cry my eyes out every time kirk starts waxing poetic (or sad) about Being A Captain and the responsibility and loneliness of it and him comparing himself to a sea captain and being like In the old days i wouldve felt the waves under my feet and the wind at my back etc etc…. the stars to steer by…. And the stars are still there bones!!!!!!!

#i think the influence was stronger in the beginning before it found its own feet but the way it really is a Ship story.#it’s the age of discovery turned adventure serial!!! theyre on a BOAT!!!!!#like thats a very simple observation so idk why it makes me feel emotional somehow #but omg the stars are literally still there bones.
