You're with James. You're right next to him but you're also with him romantically.

It just sort of happened. One of those moments where you're hanging out and he just leans in and you also lean in and suddenly you're kissing. It's been very slow and sweet between the both of you since then.

As much as your now boyfriend would love to scream from the top of the hills about you, there's just one tiny problem.

"You want me, your girlfriend, to tell your best friend, my brother, that we are dating?"

"Well, Remus too-"

"Still! You see my point."

James lets out an exasperated sigh and shrugs. "We'll have to tell him eventually."

You bite the inside of your cheek. "I feel like at this point I rather him find out accidentally."

You should probably watch what you wish for.

It's Saturday afternoon, before your bi-weekly hangouts with your brother and his friends. Sirius had told you and James to meet at his car which was parked in the mall car park while he and Remus ran errands.

Five minutes pass by since the both of you arrive, and the other two are nowhere to be seen. It's not likely for them to be late, but you'd still let it slide.

"I wonder what's taking them so long..." you say. You decide to take out your lip gloss and reapply it, using the car's window as a mirror.

James smiles at you. He loves the way you concentrate and slowly apply it onto your lips and smack them together when you're done. He knows you'd kiss him on the cheek later and he'll keep the gloss stain on for as long as he could.

"Come here, babe," he says, using his arm to wrap around your neck as he pulls you closer to him. He pulls out his phone and aims the camera at the window. He starts to snap a photo.

"Cute," you say, smiling.

The both do a few poses. Smiles, sticking out tongues. You pucker your lips to pose, and James presses a kiss to his cheek and takes a photo of that, and you kiss his cheek back.

Just then, the car window slowly winds down.

"What the hell are you two doing?" Sirius asks, his brows furrowed and mouth agape.

You've never wanted to bury yourself underground so badly in your life until this moment.

The three of you are in silence for what felt like forever. James breaks it first.

"We were... taking selfies?" Wow. James, the love of your life, cannot even save his own life.

Sirius gets straight to the point. "How long has this been going on?" he asks.

You decide to speak this time. "Like... three weeks ago?"

He raises his brows, he looks curious now. "Before or after March 31st?"

"Before."

Sirius gasps, so loud that you and James flinch. He claps his hands, the sound echoing through the underground car park. "Remus owes me so much money!" he exclaims.

What?

"You bet on us?" you almost yell, once you realise what he said.

Sirius laughs. "On New Year's, Remus said he thought you two would get together by the end of the year. I knew better, you'd have it solved by March." He shrugs.

You scoff, "I can't believe this."

"Oh come on, I believed in you! You finally did something!"

James cuts in. "I made the first move," he announces confidently.

Sirius turns to look at him, his face now deadpan. "You're my best mate, James. But if you hurt my sister don't think I won't hunt you down."

James backs up suddenly, losing all said confidence. He mumbles an 'okay'.

You look at your brother. "You're not mad?"

"Why should I be? If anything, I rather have you be with James than some random git." The look on your face doesn't change much. He sighs. "You know what? Fine, I'm happy for both of you and I only want the best for you, blah blah blah. Are you happy now? Get in the car, and hold hands or whatever, I'm fine with it."

You and James look at each other. He smiles at you and shrugs, opening the door for you to enter. He gets in with you and doesn't hesitate to link his arm with yours, intertwining your fingers together. He squeezes your hand, and you know it's for reassurance.

Sirius happily sighs from the driver's seat, watching the two of you from the interior mirror. "Ah, young love," he says, crossing his arms.

"Please shut up, you're just a year older than me," you say. "I still can't believe you bet on us like that."

"Be happy for me! I'm now a whole one grand richer."

"You bet one thousand?!"

"Yes. But honestly? Remus can just repay me with some really good he-"

You kick the back of his seat.

I came across yet another tweet that screamed Sirius raising Harry to me and demanded a ficlet. For @soloorganaas because I can.

Harry Potter is subdued today when his papa drops him off for school. Mrs. Carter watches as Mr. Lupin crouches in front of Harry, speaking to him in low tones while Harry nods morosely.

When he leaves, Harry sits quietly at his desk, coloring on a piece of paper and not looking up at his classmates as they trickle in. He’s usually one of the most talkative students in the class, so Mrs. Carter goes over to him.

“Harry,” she says quietly as she kneels next to him, “are you feeling okay?”

“No,” Harry says, not looking at her. “My daddy died.”

Mrs. Carter barely catches her gasp before it slips out. “Oh, Harry, I am so sorry. You must be feeling very sad.” 

Harry nods. Mrs. Carter can’t believe that Mr. Lupin dropped Harry off without saying anything to any of his teachers about this! Of course, he’s been married to Mr. Black for six years now, or so he’d mentioned at the last parent-teacher conference. He must be in a state of absolute shock himself.

She spends the rest of the day loving on Harry as best as she can while her aides help manage the rest of the class. She gives him extra hugs, excuses him from certain activities that he’s not feeling up to, and slips him an extra biscuit at snack time when the other students aren’t paying attention. They’re paltry efforts at comfort, but they seem like the least she can do.

She plans to have a discreet word with Mr. Lupin at pickup, and to gently suggest that maybe Harry should stay home from school for a few days, to be with his family and properly grieve.

Unfortunately, it’s not Mr. Lupin who picks Harry up--it’s Mr. Black.

“Hey, squirt!” Mr. Black says cheerfully as Harry launches himself at him. He catches the boy and swings him up on his shoulders. “Guess what I’ve got in the car for you?”

“A Happy Meal?”

“You got it,” Mr. Black says, and Harry cheers. “Say goodbye to your teacher, love.”

“Bye, Mrs. Carter!”

“But,” Mrs. Carter manages, “Harry said you died!”

Mr. Black blinks at her, and then pulls Harry off his shoulders. 

“Harry,” he says, setting the boy on the ground. “Did you tell your teachers that your daddy died? Again?”

“Again?”

“Sorry, Daddy,” Harry says, not sounding sorry at all. 

Mr. Black shakes his head as he takes Harry’s hand. “I’m sorry, Mrs. Carter. Harry’s done this with all his teachers at some point or another. We thought he’d grown out of it.” 

“I don’t understand,” Mrs. Carter says.

“His birth father, James, died when he was a baby. You know that, but he also calls me “Dad”. So sometimes he’ll tell a teacher that his dad died, because he’s learned it gets him extra attention and snacks. He means James, but he’s going to let you believe it’s me because that’s how he gets away with it.” Mr. Black tries to give Harry a stern look, but he’s not very successful at it. “Can you apologize to your teacher, Harry?”

“But it’s true! Daddy James is dead!” 

Mr. Black pinches the bridge of his nose. “We’re still working on it.”

“Moony!” Sirius calls. “You’ll never guess what your son did today!”

“My son?” Remus pokes his head out of his office. “Did he turn his teacher’s hair blue again?”

“Nope. He told her his daddy was dead.”  

“Harry.” Remus folds his arms. “Is this because I wouldn’t stop for ice cream on the way to school?”

“Mrs. Carter gave me an extra biscuit! An’ I didn’t have to do my letters today! Can I have a snack now?”

“You just had a Happy Meal!” Sirius exclaims.

“I’m hungry again!”

“Nice try, squirt. We’re going to say sorry to Daddy James.”

Harry sighs. “Do I have to?”

“Yes, you have to.” Sirius takes him by the shoulders and turns him in the direction of the back door. “Let’s go, mister.”

When they had first moved into this house with baby Harry four years ago, Remus had suggested that they plant two trees in memory of James and Lily. They had done so, and installed small plaques at the base of each one. Sirius found over the years that he much preferred visiting the trees to the horrible memorial in Godric’s Hollow.

“Hi, Daddy James,” Harry is saying when Sirius catches up to him. He’s sitting cross-legged by James’s plaque, twisted some blades of grass together in his hands. “Daddy says I gotta say sorry to you. I told Mrs. Carter you were dead.”

“That’s not why you’re saying sorry, Harry James,” Sirius corrects.

“I told her Daddy died. She didn’t ask which one!” 

“Harry.” 

“Sorry for telling Mrs. Carter you were dead so I could get a biscuit, Daddy James,” Harry says. “An’ extra coloring time. Daddy, can I go fly now?”

“Go wash your hands and change into your flying clothes, and meet me back out here,” Sirius says, and Harry scampers off. Sirius kneels by the plaque, presses two fingers to his lips, and then brushes them over James’s name. “He’s a menace, Prongs. You would be proud. Thank you for trusting me with him."

It's got a well-rounded plot and great world-building with incredible characterisations. The interpersonal communication between James and Lily does a great job of acknowledging how James, while being physically present was emotionally absent. The author explores his grief and makes it a point to note that while it explains his behaviour, it doesn’t excuse it. Despite this, through it all, I was rooting for them. Also, the relationship between the Black brothers was so well written. All of the side characters felt valuable to the story and were dynamic. Overall a really good read! Shout out to big brother Harry and baby Gracie ❤︎ ❤︎ ❤︎

I've never been good at writing poetry. I always stuck to prose; it was simpler and more familiar... like it was where I started. I never thought I would ever publish any of my poems, but then Liam passed away, and that’s something I could never have imagined in my life.

I started writing because of One Direction and my love for those five boys. My first work was a strange crossover with One Direction and the cast of Victorious, written in my native language. I think it was poorly written and terribly paced, but I remember some people, Directioners like me, liked it and encouraged me to keep writing... and now I'm here, writing all these works that you read and enjoy. It changed my life. One Direction changed my life completely.

I've always been an extroverted kid; I liked talking to people, meeting new ones, and being the center of attention. I had many friends at the time, and everything was fine, but then I moved to another place and lost all my friends. I was alone. I was ten, my relationship with my parents was terrible, and I had no one. Then I saw a One Direction music video, and my life changed. I found new friends online, I started learning English — a subject I hated in school — and from then on, I never felt alone because I had my 1D family and Louis, Zayn, Liam, Niall, and Harry. I was there, rewatching their video diaries and X Factor, I was there tweeting jokes, voting for them in every award show, watching every interview. I was there when Zayn left, and when the boys went on hiatus, and I was there watching each one of them create their own history. And even when I wasn’t active in the fandom, I always kept an eye on them because they are still my whole world, my safe place.

Then, when I woke up two days ago, I was crushed. My world collapsed, and I couldn’t believe it — there was no more One Direction. No more Liam Payne. I cried and cried because it felt like I lost a part of myself, like I lost a close friend. I couldn’t explain this feeling to anyone, even my closest friends, who tried to support me but couldn’t understand my pain. You had to be there to understand what they meant to me. That first day was hard. I had to go to work as if nothing had happened, teaching English to kids, and it was so difficult. I was in my own world, listening to One Direction during my break because their music has always been my safest place — where else could I go? I couldn’t understand or accept the news, and all that day, I was just a shadow of myself. I came home and slept until I woke up in the middle of the night, finding out about Louis and Zayn’s posts. It was like I felt they would say something. I read and reread their words, but it didn’t feel real. It wasn’t until I saw Niall’s post that I understood — Liam was really gone.

The second day was harder than the first because I couldn’t cry anymore. I just felt overwhelming pain and emptiness. But I sat in front of my laptop and wrote a James Potter AU where he struggled with hate and a lack of confidence. I wrote it thinking about Liam, about how this industry crushed his dreams and his spirit. I wrote the words he should have heard while he was alive. After the group split, he only received hate. I named it Walking in the Wind because Liam said it was his favourite song. I wrote it for him, hoping he would feel loved on the other side. It helped me with my grief.

Now it’s the third day. I woke up thinking about Liam, read the news, and told myself not to listen to the band's songs because I thought it would hurt too much. But throughout the day, I caught myself singing their lyrics, realizing that even now, when I thought their music would bring only pain, it still brought me comfort. So I listened and listened, and that’s how I ended up writing this poem. I felt the urge to write one last thing about Liam, to properly say goodbye, to return to my life, and finally accept his loss. I didn’t think I would publish it, but then I thought maybe it could help other Directioners around the world. Maybe it would help me, too.

So now it’s here, and I’m writing my final tribute to finally say goodbye.

Dear Liam,

You are gone, but you will always live in my heart. I will tell my kids about you — the boy with the most amazing smile, who always showed the bright side, who tried to be there for everyone, who taught me to stay positive and saved my life. I love you, Liam, with all my heart, and I hope you’ve found peace. You were an amazing musician, a talented artist who wrote beautiful songs and drew beautiful pictures. Maybe you didn’t find the strength to open up through your own music, to show people how much you were struggling. You chose to stay strong in public and fought your demons alone. It’s heartbreaking, but I hope you’ve found your way now. I hope you’ve found happiness, wherever you are. And someday, when I’m old and gray, I’ll meet you again, while you’ll stay young and beautiful. I’m sorry you thought you weren’t enough, that you weren’t talented. I’m sorry you only saw hateful comments and thought the fans didn’t love you. But you were loved, you were more than enough, and you were incredibly talented. I wish I could go back in time and say all these things to you. I wish we could have prevented this. No one deserves to die at such a young age. No one deserves to die alone.

Sorry to ask but wtf is the marauders? I only hp films and I'm confused

i was a harry potter nerd ages 8-14 and dipped during the 2018-19 early jkr transphobe era when she was liking tweets about magdalen berns and maya forstater and then going naurrrr it was a mistake i misclicked!! i distinctly remember explaining to a teacher about it and the teacher going "oh idk im sure it was a mistake shes very feminist and charitable" well whos vindicated now. anyway unfortunately i have a lot of lore stuck in my head from when i wrote wattpad fanfiction at 13.

so canonically the marauders are like a nickname that james potter (harry's dad), sirius black (the dog guy), remus lupin (the werewolf guy), and peter pettigrew (the rat one) called themselves when they were at school. they're the ones who made the marauder's map, that magic map that fred n george give harry.

in fandom, the marauders era refers to basically the entire cast of characters who were around during the marauders school years during the 60s and 70s and 80s. eg snape, lily evans (harry's mum), pandora lovegood (luna's mum), regulus black (sirius' brother), and like all the other random ass order of the phoenix and death eaters who happen to be around at that point (marlene mckinnon, mary macdonald, barty crouch jr, evan rosier, etc etc etc)

its all made up and entirely fanon built on top of fanon. its been around for ages, i remember seeing tumblr incorrect quotes reposted on instagram in 2015 like its been FOREVER but it blew up in 2020 during the dark academia tiktok explosion and now its forever ingrained in shitty internet culture.

you would think in a world where half the characters are nazis and the other half are anti nazis that these characters might like hate each other but that's canon and the fandom has about as good a grasp on optics and narrative as the author does. often its just an AU where voldemort doesnt exist and pure-blood supremacy is just window dressing and treated the same as the way sexism/feminism is treated in fandom

i will say a lot of the current hp fandom do disagree with jkr's views and dont engage with anything she's published recently (like the video games n shit) but like a vast majority still do. and sorry making all the characters pansexual and trans to spite jkr does not actually make a meaningful difference in the world but whatever

“Umm… what’s this, Lily?“

James lifted a weirdly shaped woolen item from a box Lily had packed for him prior to a date at Hogsmeade.

She blushed a bit. “You know how I’ve recently gotten better at knitting? Well… I saw this idea in one of Mary’s knitting magazines and I thought it sounded fun. A mitten that allows you to hold hands with someone even when you’re walking outside in cool weather. Plus, today’s Valentine’s day so I thought it would make sense to wear it... But if you don’t like it…”

Lily must have misread the confusion on his face, thinking he’d hate it. Sirius, Remus and Peter, on the other hand, couldn’t hold down their snickers in the background.

“I guess this was a bad idea,” she sighed. “Should have known this wasn’t something a Marauder out of all people would get excited about.”

James finally recovered from his initial surprise. “No, no! It’s a nice idea, really!” His face melted into a grin. “Who says a Marauder can’t enjoy holding hands with his brilliant, talented girlfriend? Shut up, Padfoot,” he lightly shoved Sirius’ shoulder because his best friend was now laughing way too hard at his reaction.

“You sure?” Lily asked skeptically, her cheeks adorably red.

“Yep, I’m totally sure. As a matter of fact…” James’ face lit up when he imagined the warmth of Lily’s hand in his. “I think I love it.”

“Did you see Lockhart’s face?” James asked, trying to contain his laughter as the couple entered Three Broomsticks for a round of Butterbeers. “He seemed so mad that he hadn’t had this idea before you did. Watch him try to sell hundreds of couple mittens next Valentine’s Day.”

“Too bad we’re not here to see it,” Lily snorted. “Although, maybe we should stop by just to see if he succeeded.”

“Yeah, maybe we should,” James agreed.

“Aren’t you two just darlings,” Madam Rosmerta, who had arrived to take their order, referred to the mitten they were currently taking off for it was very warm at the inn. “It’s always nice to see some young love around…”

“Thanks, Ros,” James smirked. “I’m sorry that you have to find out this way that someone else has taken my heart, but there’s still always a soft spot for you in it.”

Lily slapped his arm with her free hand. “Remember whose hand you’re holding, Potter.”

“But Lily, you know I only have eyes for you.” He made his best deer eyes at her. “Rosie and I simply have a long history.”

Lily rolled her eyes, but James did notice she bit her lip to hide a smile. Everyone knew the Marauders liked to joke around with Rosmerta, mainly to get cheaper drinks, and Lily too had learned to not take the ‘flirting’ too seriously.

Madam Rosmerta left to serve other customers. For a while Lily and James simply kept up a light banter, discussing what they had seen so far at Hogsmeade and wondering what the other Marauders were currently doing while sipping their drinks. When they exited the inn, however, they were soon stopped by a small group of Slytherins, Mulciber as their leader.

“Just when I thought you couldn’t get any lower, Potter… you show us all how whipped you are by a Mudblood… Is there anything more pathetic?”

His housemates laughed, but James managed to remain calm as he felt Lily squeezing his hand, meaning ‘they’re not worth it’. He looked around, trying to come up with an appropriate response. For once the luck was on his side; he spotted none other than Professor Dumbledore himself not too far from them, possibly on his way to enjoy a glass of mead with a couple of his colleagues.

“Oi, Professor Dumbledore!” James exclaimed. “Fancy seeing you here!”

“James, Lily,” Dumbledore greeted them. “Good to see my head students here on such a nice day. Are you trying to create a new trend?” He asked warmly, referring to their mitten. “Because if so, I’d love to have the pattern to that mitten as well.”

“I can give it to you the next time we give you our monthly report, Professor,” Lily smiled at him. “By the way, James and I were just wondering… would it be a sufficient punishment for someone who uses a slur against another student… if we made them wear one of these, but, I don’t know, with Peeves or something.”

“Good luck convincing Peeves to participate in that,” Dumbledore chuckled. “But I will admit, the concept is rather creative. Maybe we need to discuss how to develop it in our next meeting.” The professor’s eyes were twinkling playfully.

“Sir, you know just as well as I do that if anyone can convince Peeves to do anything, it's James. Either way, we’ll be looking forward to that discussion,” Lily replied, waving at the professor before they turned to leave. From the corner of his eye, James saw Mulciber glaring at them murderously, but he just flashed one final grin at the Slytherin’s direction before leaving the scene.

“What an arsehole,” James shook his head once Lily and he were far enough. “If we hadn’t been wearing this,” he raised their mitten, “I might have punched him in the face…”

“Well, I’m glad you didn’t, in front of Dumbledore and the others,” Lily noted. “But see, this mitten was pretty useful, after all,” she chuckled then. “I doubt Mulciber will want to use the m-word in front of anyone when there’s a possibility he’ll have to wear it with Peeves.”

“That was quite genius of you,” James admitted. “Although I personally think he’ll be missing out… I actually have been enjoying wearing this.”

“Yeah, you have?” Lily gave him a fond smile. “In that case, I’m glad I made it.”

“Me too,” James agreed and with the hand that was entwined with hers, he pulled her closer for a kiss.

Hedric (Harry Potter x Cedric Diggory) from Harry Potter

I’m unsure as for Potterheads’s first same gender ship their self but this already was/is my first fave slash, almost canon, OTP and tragic love story before and after how many ships I’ve got that has some similarity just like this tragically ship itself.

Harry’s terrible timing but unfortunately founds Cedric as his soulmate while they don’t know how it’ll turned out, this ship definitely gives me “I personal don’t care if it’s either canon, almost canon or non canon because I’m allowed view those two fiction characters together all because they deserve better” vibes and how much it foreshadows for me being a sucker for tragic love story ships and how different it could’ve turned out instead actual canon ending itself. Otherwise, I really honestly don’t care much when some most fans mention or comment their preference for notice canon or popular non canon ships because it’s still neutrally fine by me from their own liking; I’m mainly focus finding ships that’s either tried to understand/enjoy paring itself except it’s not for me or made for me afar reacting each parings instead sink into toxicity level.

Speaking of toxicity fan/shipper from this fandom: don’t let Drarry Vs Dramione and Snily Vs Jily or other red flag solution drag you down no matter how afar worst it still goes; it’s better to find rare positive fans while you shall keep them as new friends and avoiding drama as possible. Even myself as a non toxic shipper of two ships, Drarry and Snily, I still don’t comment Severus’s ‘better’ than James unlike how some most Team Snape does because he’s not while myself over here still loves viewing Harry and likable Draco together as a realistic LGBT couple instead love and hate relationship.

Besides how afar this post’s involve, reasons why Hedric’s involve because nothing still can’t change how much I despite her-name-shall-not-be-name from all the damage she cause between Harry and Cedric were almost endgame their self and how many fans she hurt before and after her transphobic comment came along. Some Potterheads mentioned their childhood’s ruined because of her transphobic comment, well.. according as for mine, already’s half ruined because disturbances why Harry and Cedric never got together instead transphobic, homophobic and racism ‘Queen’’s comment. Am I forevermore bitter towards Jo*nne all for preventing Cedric and Harry becoming boyfriends?

Yes, but, Potterheads can’t separate HP book series from her cause she’s still a creator of World Of Harry Potter and all characters she has created. She can make entire excuses all she wants to especially dodging Hedric and other Potterheads’s fave ships, at least HP fandom their self can still make this fandom a better place for all fans while it’s half of something she couldn’t do along doesn’t has to be either mentioned or involve. Yet, Radcliffe and Watson aren’t suppose to respond her transphobic tweet but they did and make Potterheads relief and better instead no longer continuing support her-name-shall-not-be-named.

My apologies this went unfortunately longer between rant and discuss all in one post about her and Hedric, it’s part of reasons why I make this another HP post. Mary pulls out the next note. "I would sell my entire Family for just one kiss from Peter Pettigrew," she reads out. "I agree," Lily says, reaching for Peter's hand. "Kisses from me don't come cheap," Peter counters immediately and gives Lily a warm smile.

"Okay, not many notes left," Sirius tells him, pulling one out. "Can we please talk about how gorgeous Remus Lupin is for a sec? This man is so beautiful." I think Bob's first scene is about Hopper and the prequel.

Agent Orange ruined Hopper's life, sot it's not even color theory. He is associated with that color in many scenes. Including this one.

The first thing Bob says in the show: 'I'm not a big fan of orange'. Back in 2017 we didn't know about Agent Orange, but now we do! This is hilarious

In this scene Bob mentions high school and says that he feels like a teenager. So, this is connected to 1959. Also, Hopper calls him Bob the Brain (old habit, he says) and I'm sure he started when they were kids. So I get that Bob is not a big fan of him.

By the way, it's curious that Bob is a main character in the prequel, but Jon and Will's father, who's still alive, is not. Who follows my blog knows my theory about Hopper and Lonnie. It's like there were three boys who liked Joyce, but the only one Joyce didn't date is the boy she actually loves. Unless... she did date Hopper at some point (original timeline?) and maybe even had two kids with him, but the lab and/or a time loop separated their family. And now we only know about her relationship with the other two guys.

But who knows, this could be a Lily and James Potter situation, in which Joyce didn't want to be with Hopper when she was young, but then fell in love with him.

Here Bob points to the pumpkin basket, but it seems that he's pointing to the two 10s. And there's also a 10 behind him. My theory is that 10, including the lab kid, actually represents 01.

There are so many references to dark reflections and mirrors in the show, so maybe 10 and 01 represent two timelines, and one is the dark reflection of the other. In another scene, when Bob mentions high school again, we see the number 40 on the door, but reverse: 04. Imo, a reference to the members of the Hopper family: Jim, Joyce, Will and Jane. Yeah, unfortunately, I think Jon is really Lonnie's kid. That's why they always says that he's good at taking care of himself. That he feels like he's alone

So yeah, I think that Ten represents 01 and that's why they've been mentioning that number since the very first episode, connecting it to 11 and 12. Because it's always been about Henry/Edward, Eleven and Will.

Maybe this is why Ten seemed so important in the trailers and in 4x01. For months I wondered why they focused so much on that kid.

He's not important, after the first scene he never speaks again. Then I remembered that this is what I thought about 13 and 12. They don't seem important, but for some reason they're included in many shots with El and Henry. So 13 could be a reference to Fringe's character Olivia, who is Subject 13 (here the post about 13 and Byler), 12 represents Will, and Ten represents 01. Another possible hint: the first thing Brenner says to Ten is that the Magic 8 Ball is his favorite toy. 8->Kali, who is mentioned by Henry, and made Axel see black spiders.

Born Douglas James Henshall 19th November 1965 in Glasgow, Henshall’s mother was a nurse and his father a salesman. He attended Barrhead High School. While still at school, he joined the Scottish Youth Theatre.

After leaving school, he moved to London to train at Mountview Theatre School. He returned to Glasgow after this where he joined the 7:84 theatre company. Eventually, he went back to live in London where he received critical acclaim for his theatre work.One of his first successful film roles was as Edgar in Angels and Insects before going on to star in Orphans, If Only…, Lawless Heart and It’s All About Love and the very funny This Years Love.

Dougie’s first big TV role was  in Dennis Potter's television adaptation of Lipstick on Your Collar and has also featured in top TV shows like The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Anna Karenina and Outlander.

But nothing compares to the success he’s enjoyed thanks to his performance in Shetland.

Henshall issued a statement on Twitter earlier this year after receiving an "extraordinary amount" of online abuse. He posted  I’ve taken quite an extraordinary amount of abuse over the last couple of weeks and I haven’t bitched or whined about any of it. However there are no free passes anymore. - james’ first tattoo is for sirius, always. he wasn’t really interested in it but he wanted it to get thru sirius’ thick skull that he’s family, always will be, and if he had to mutilate his own skin to prove it, so he will. of course, after that he realised he actually quite liked it so he just. never stopped.

- i mention this in the fic but james is very proper, buttoned up, perfect pureblood heir types & doesn’t have any visible tattoos.
