i've been fortunate enough to be in small enough fandoms that i hadn't seen the phenomenon of "dogshit headcanon becomes so ingrained in fandom that people start to argue its actually real and if you don't believe it you're the one who's delusional" until recently and man! that shit sucks! if you do that shit i think you're really fucking annoying! chill out!

#rambling #having headcanons and being passionate about them is cool and all #but the people who actually debate them like theyre the Only Real Correct Interpretation of a character/media are just fucking annoying #this is distinctly about the ppl who wont stfu about 'oh vince is sephis dad!!!!!' and act all smug n shit about it #like shut uuuppp oh my god youre literally writing fanfiction like the rest of us CHILLLLLL #it didnt annoy me that much but the attitude ppl cop about it makes me wanna start barking
