#this post sponsored by yet another insufferable interaction with someone literally 5 years older than me#like shut UPPPP lol literally shut up ♥️#pegasus speaks#it was honestly pretty isolating as a kid to not have any of the same media/toys/experiences as my peers#& i still feel sorta ‘behind’ sometimes in terms of references and … shared cultural touchstones etc#i don’t relate to a lot of the things my friends do#and that’s fine but when someone calls me an ipad kid or makes a remark about how ‘my generation grew up with iphones’ or whatever i see red#idk why. i guess it just makes me feel ashamed all over again#i worry im forever going to feel weirdly Behind. out of touch. clueless. playing with my mum’s old toys recycled from the 1970s.
