today's stargate logistics question of the day is why didn't the sgc hire/poach more people from the diplomatic corps
#especially with the atlantis mission#sga#stargate atlantis#stargate#like seriously the diplomatic corps is literally people good with languages + negotiations + people from wildly different cultures#who as a bonus don't mind being sent to the ass end of nowhere#and plenty of them expect to serve at dangerous and/or remote posts#actually @the sgc where are your social sciences#like sure they've got the anthropologists and probably some archaeologists#but where are your linguists geographers and political scientists/international relations experts#yes i do know that my reasoning here is literally just why they hired weir#but there should be more weirs is my point#what's a nice kid like me doing in a place like this
