truly so funny how cherry would have a rage aneurysm at me calling her cherry on here. itâs just what she gets referred to as the most in the story so itâs easier this way sorry girl
#not her real name itâs a nickname from shana actually :â)#problems when the other main character who refers to this character the most is shana lmao#nobody else uses it and she hates it#her real name is carmen el mehdi :]#immediately upon their reunion he uses her first name#which for him isnât that strange because heâs on a first name basis with a lot of people at the hospital#but the nickname comes about ~6 months in and it is very unusual for shana lol#like people who have worked with him for a longer while perk up when he starts openly calling her that unusual#but like. only to her face directly heâs not using it in v professional situations and/or to refer to her when sheâs not there or something#he calls her cherry like 7/10 times. âangelâ another nickname gets 2/10 times and her real name gets a humble 1 :â)#he also calls her variations of my girl quite often but thatâs not really a nickname i think lol#she just calls him dr solomon.#oc: cherry

Older!Bakugou who is still in his early 30s, being pestered by his mother to at least get a girlfriend (and eventually settle down). She is afraid she'll never be able to meet her grandkids if this continues.
Older!Bakugou who has attended weddings of his friends, co-workers and even few of the people he had rescued. Although, had no intention of settling down anytime soon, wanting to focus on hero work because it gave him a drive, something to look forward too.
Older!Bakugou who was never really interested in any women that threw themselves at him, always keeping to himself, mellowed out with age. His friends no longer setting him up on blind dates because it was all in vain.
Older!Bakugou who hires a new support tech, because he was impressed by the work. Who meets the newbie in the hallway of the building, screaming at a rookie prohero.
"this is my resume", you shoved an open file into the rookie's face,"on page 12 it list all the things I was hired for", you pause pulling the folder, skimming through the pages to open page 12, he assumes. "Here, now read carefully, does it say 'write reports for rookies because they are apparently incapable of writing it' huh?", you slam the folder shut on the table. " Don't ever expect to do your work, rookie."
You turned around and left the hallway, not really noticing that you almost ran into Pro-hero: Dynamight.
Older!Bakugou who observes you working around the lab, fierce support tech that minds her business and prefers talking to her projects over actual people. Diligent with her work, getting her job done.
Older!Bakugou who enters the lab one day because his gauntlet need to repaired.
"they are too chunky." You don't really have a filter, already working on dismantling the whole thing, not sparing Bakugou a glance.
"You should focus on your work, kid." He was already staring at you.
"What do you think I am doing, Dynamight? This chunk isn't going to fix itself."
He is glad that your words remains same, irrespective of who you are talking to. Always stating the obvious.
"watch it, kid." He walked out of the lab.
Older!Bakugou who is surprised when the new tech remodels his gauntlets but also repairs the old ones, showing him the perks of new ones while still repairing the old ones just in case he doesn't like the new ones.
Older!Bakugou who, at 32, finds himself horrified by the idea that he might be interested, in someone, someone who is younger than him. You are 24, barely am adult in his eyes. You are smart, snarky and considerate.
You explain things to people, help around the lab, yet you are still sharp can take a joke, can make a joke.
Older!Bakugou that is nervous, prospect of asking out a girl making him sweat. He stands at the entrance of your lab, clear door doing nothing to hide his hulking frame, you are still working on something, hunched over a table with a chunky metal in hand.
"you know, I can see you, right?"
He lets out a breath, a small smile breaking onto his face, he moves into the lab. You notice he is wearing casual clothes, sweatpants and a t-shirt, carrying take-out boxes in his hand.
"I was getting dinner, thought I'd get you some too." He is already setting up on the 'not work table' in the room, already aware of what would happen if he put food on your 'work table'.
"What did you do, boss?" You voiced suspiciously, already moving to wash your hands.
"Can't even get people dinner in this economy"
"People", faux disbelief evident in your voice,"I wouldn't call me people, boss" you pulled the chair out and sat in front of him.
"Why not, tech?" He teased, handing you pair of chopsticks.
You look at him with mischief in your eyes, you lean over and play your hand around you mouth, almost as if sharing a secret,"Because you don't practice asking 'people' out, Suki."
His eyes widened,"You heard that? I thought the glass door was fucking sound proof." He let out a sigh, hours of practising and he doesn't even get a chance to say it.
"They are soundproof. From the inside tho." You looked over to him, before placing your hand over his," And I'll go on that date, also we should totally check the sound proofing of the lab tonight."

Where did Nanami go?
a small collection of events where the people around nanami wonder if he's been abducted by aliens where they switched his brain after seeing how different he is with you (but they love it and keep hoping to see more) fluff, nanami being the best boyfriend, fluff literally just typed this all in one go and did not edit. lol enjoy!
nanami is the 'i'm not reading all that, im happy for you or im sorry that happened' person to gojo. but you send one long long message to nanami and gojo glaces to nanami's phone and just sees his whole screen covered in one long blue bubble. he asks if you're ok or if he needs to step away to call you but all nanami says is no and starts reading the message. gojo sees nanami read a bit, then types a small reply, presses enter for the next line, reads some more, then another small reply, and repeat. is he replying to every single sentence in your message?!
gojo gets curious so he leans a bit closer to actually see the message. it was not an emergency... but your review and interpretation of the 2009 movie Mother?!
gojo leans back shocked. nanami would never reply to such long messages he'd send. if the message was longer than 4 lines, then nanami might never even reply to it. but he's carefully reading your message as if it was the latest report that would be the difference between life and death in the next fight. he's replying to every single point you're making and are those emojis?!
gojo is floored, truly baffled and entirely speechless.
gojo wonders, what movie can i watch that might interest nanami and get him to reply to me in a message longer than a sentence?
âââ
gojo and itadori walk out of the school with nanami. it's time for nanami to clock out but gojo and itadori are heading out to try a new restaurant that evening. nanami gets a call at 6:01pm while he's still walking with them and stays back a few steps to answer your call. nosy gojo perks up his ear to listen if nanami's voice changes when he answers your call. it's not too different but gojo swears it did change a bit as if there was a little smile on his face. there was.
you ask nanami if he'd like to join you for dinner at a restaurant after work and nanami just asks for the address and says he's on his way. he excuses himself from the guys and gojo wiggles his eyebrows as nanami says he's got somewhere to be. yuji continues to talk about the last movie he saw that he loved but megumi kept rolling his eyes at.
gojo and yuji get to the restaurant after their leisurely walk and see nanami - wait! nanami setting the table?! they're both shocked bc even though their steps were unhurried, it's not like they took a long time to get to the place. you walk into the restaurant and spot nanami wiping what would be your side of the table with his hand, wiping anything that might have been missed by the cleaning cloth.
"kento!" you smile and jog to the table. he looks up and smiles when he sees you, but the smile drops when he spots the open mouthed gojo and yuji you just passed by. you stop walking and turn to see who or what he's looking at.
gojo snaps out of it and goes to introduce himself to you before leading the group of three to the table that nanami is now standing next to. he had heard about you because he pestered nanami enough to tell him about your existence and your name, and that's really all gojo knew. he asks nanami how he got to the restaurant so quick and nanami blandly replies that you work nearby and he wanted to get there first aka he lightly jogged but gojo didn't need to know that.
nanami was kind of expecting it but it still surprised him a bit when you extend a courteous invitation to gojo and yuji if they'd like to join you both for dinner. what was not a surprise was that gojo immediately sat down. yuji hesitates a bit but you tell the young man to sit and assure it's ok. nanami sighs but decides to just roll with it and goes to slide out your chair so you can sit. gojo and yuji give a quiet 'ooooohh' to the action and nanami just shushes them and sits next to you.
nanami is stiff at first and you notice so you slide your hand to hold his under the table. gojo notices the action though and feels like giggling and kicking his feet for his friend. it still takes a while for nanami to relax a bit but he eventually slumps a bit in his seat and smiles a lot easier after a few drinks w you. gojo and yuji stick to their sodas and nanami is happy to order wine for you both.
gojo and yuji make easy conversation and everyone genuinely has a nice dinner. nanami is ready to say bye to the guys as you finish a conversation with yuji about a show. gojo and yuji excitedly watch you both walk away as nanami keeps a hand on your lower back to lead you down the street then moves to hold your hand. they start giggling out loud, a little too loud, when you step even closer to hold his arm with your other hand and lean your head on his shoulder as you walk back home.
âââ
yuji excitedly goes to nanami to ask if he can join you guys after work. nanami is confused but yuji tells him to check his phone. you had asked if he wanted to visit an ice cream parlor and bakery with you and that you had asked yuji for the name since he brought up the place at dinner.
âwe were talking about the show hannibal and she recommended a movie if i liked that show so i did the same and recommended something. she said she'd let me know what she thought the next time she saw me but i didn't know when that'd be and i think she read my mind so we exchanged emails,â yuji rambles nonchalantly about exchanging information with his girlfriend.
"nanamin, i thought you didn't like sweets?" nanami confirms that he does not care for them but you like them and he always finds another bread or alternative to eat as you eat your sugar-filled dessert.
yuji gives a thumbs up and that the man has his respect. nanami tries to ignore the comment⌠but the compliment feels nice. what didnât feel so nice was two other kids attaching themselves to yuji and nanami for the ice cream.
he gets in the car and looks back at nobara, yuji, and megumi through the rearview mirror and hopes you donât mind these kids attaching themselves like leeches on your date. and you donât mind, it was nice to finally meet some of the people heâs talk so much about and you liked hearing new stories about him.
youâre getting a couple samples and pass them to nanami once youâve tasted a bit. he wouldnât get a full ice cream for himself but he could do samples... and indirect kisses. you read his mind (bc you were thinking the same) and try to flirt and raise your eyebrows at nanami seductively but shy away and start to laugh instead. nanami know what you were trying to do yet again and he finds it endearing every time you do it. he pulls you in from your waist and leans down to kiss your bare shoulder thinking the kids are too busy looking for their own desserts to notice. they were not busy, they were looking and saw it all.
the kids are shocked, nobara is taking notes bc she wants that romantic gesture, yuji wants to cheer him on, and megumi's eyes widen but he wonders just how long nanami's been hiding this side of himiself. all in all, all three kids want to see this side more and start planning ways to go out with you both again.
âââ
nobara and maki go shopping for some spring clothes and as nobara is talking about a store she saw while maki got an iced coffee she stops in her tracks. nanami is inside the store they were about to pass and he's standing as still as a statue... holding a couple shopping bags in one hand and a purse on his shoulder. maki follows nobara's gaze and chuckles but prepares to walk away. nobara grabs her arm and pulls her into the store but hides behind a rack to keep watching nanami.
you come out of the dressing room in the perfect little black dress and nobara and maki can't help but stare in appreciation and awe. they were impressed by how you looked but even more impressed when nanami took out his phone and took a picture. even from afar, they could tell it was a damn good picture and that that man knew your angles.
âââ
gojo wants to go to a club. he knows nanami will say no straight up so he starts the conversation with, "hey you know what y/n might like?" gojo tries to sell the club the best he can but nanami just says ok and walks away.
gojo texts nanami later that night to ask (plead) him if he'd want to go and all nanami says is that you both will meet him there. gojo hums as he gets ready and arrives to the club. he sees you and nanami walk into the dark and loud room but immediately notices nanami's black button-up that has the top few buttons opened and no tie, and your little black dress. it's shorter (and honestly sexier) than what gojo imagined you'd wear in an outing with nanami but he has to admit that his pair of friends were a damn wonder to look at. he discreetly takes a photo of you two and sends it to nanami. it becomes nanami's favorite photo.
gojo compliments both of you and you thank him saying you had told nanami he'd look great with that simple button-up and gojo agrees. nanami blushes a bit at your compliment. gojo asks about your dress and you laugh recalling when you were getting ready. you had asked nanami if you could wear the dress since you weren't sure if it was too short and he just nodded and basically said 'dress slutty, i can fight' (not in those exact words but that's how you registered it and you fell even more in love with the man). nanami really did not care about what you wore, he would definitely voice if something was not appropriate but he has not said anything about any of your clothes since you've met. gojo couldn't even laugh at nanami's response to your question, he was impressed and turns to nanami to give a thumbs up (and writes that down to use later).
âââ
all the students sit with nanami and gojo in the cafeteria. they're sitting around waiting for their meal after their mission when nanami remembers that he promised to call you after he was done. he had accidentally let it slip that the mission seemed dangerous and you asked if he could spare a moment after the mission to call or text you to make sure he was fine.
he excuses himself and gojo faintly hears your voice before his friend fully walks out of the cafeteria for his call. immediately after nanami leaves, the students huddle closer to the table and start talking about you. gojo is kind of shocked by the student's reactions but they all look at him and in their own way talk about how much they like you for nanami. a cold and serious man has the embodiment of bubblegum on his arm and they loved it. gojo joins his giggling students and nanami waits a moment outside the cafeteria door to listen to his team rave about you before walking back in with a light blush on his cheeks.

notsobaddasssoldier!reader who is kinda a cunt
reader who just doesn't give a shit about the 141 rank or title.
"you think just cause your captain of some lil task force i'm gonna bend over backwards for you? be serious."
"cool you're lieutenant...and.... anything else interesting? like how you think halloween is 24/7, or...?"
"oh so it's a big accomplishment you're sergeant at your big age? tell someone who cares."
you're just so... eh about their ranks. but they get some power trip when you call them said rank. makes them feel some sort of way that depsite your snark, you still call them by rank. showing the clear difference of inferiority and superiority between you and them.
till you notice and shut that shet down.
"your so fucking stupid. it's like if i met The Pope. I'm gonna call him Pope because he's The Pope. I still don't give a shit though."
"or like meeting a Doctor and calling them Doctor. I don't give a fuck that the persons a Doctor. I'll still call em it."
"better yet. hate the king. hate the queen. but i still call them the queen and king. because their dumbassary is just linked to their 'ranks'. if you keep annoying me the same is gonna go for you."
you have so much sass and snark that it becomes a truly humbling experience. and it's like - damn. they could put you over their knee and really put you in your place but reader takes things from 0-100 real fucking quick.
"you wanna what you fucking freak?"
"excuse me-?"
"you're so fucking dumb. get a braincell dumb bitch. do it and fucking find out what happens."
"shot me in the head and watch my corpse not give a fuck because I don't."
and when the guys get a lil too fucking serious about putting reader in their place. reader suddenly has a gun pointed at their face. you see what I mean by taking things to 0-100 real quick?
"dummy. really tryna fuck with me when we're surrounded by guns? fuck outta here with that bullshit."
"matter fact I'd just kill myself-"
"NO!" *141*
it's obvious you may be young and perhaps a little too mouthy for your own good but it's clear you're not going to be pushed around.
but it's obvious you ain't here for the 'greater good' and just doing the work to get the paycheck. while the guys find your snark to be really fucking annoying.
it turns out that you definitely have some perks.
you may not be able to hold yourself very long in battle, just a very basic solider with basic skill sets- your mouth and attitude can really work wonders on people.
in particular, the egotistical rookie who things they're all that. taking their sweet time with basic tasks, belittling other recruits who can do the bare minimum. just in general, an asshole. that's when you step in.
"you ain't shit bitch cause at the end of the fucking day turdface, you ain't bullet proof. i can shoot you right now, and all your running and yapping will cease to exist. your corspe will rot. people will stop knowing you as the loudmouth rookie, and you will just become nothing. infact. you are nothing."
*the recruit opens their mouth. you interrupt.*
"Nothing."
*recruit tries again.*
"Nothing."
it's an endless cycle that ceases when your hardened glare doesn't stop and you pick up a rock intending to throw it at the recruit. the blank, dead, serious look in your eyes showing you are more than fucking serious.
what really works wonders though, is they way you aren't worried about putting a superior in their place. the other 141 have basically been beaten in and to not question anything. they have been made to believe they are weapons more than human.
that gets shut down real quick.
you all have just come back from mission, that was grueling. a couple of you were injured. everyone looked worse for wear. dirts, scratches, blood. someone no longer had their vest. a few lost weapons. barely had any inventory. needing food, sleep, and then a long shower shower.
but instead waiting for the task force, was a superior officer, holding the next mission file. a mission they were supposed to be getting ready for and practically leave as soon as they got back.
before price could grab for it, you intercept. grabbing the mission file and throwing it at the superior officers face.
"you giant fucking anal peice of dried solid dog shit. we're not fucking doing that. we just got back from hiding in a fucking forest for three weeks with enemy surrounding us to get intel from a camp- THAT WASN'T FUCKING THERE. so you better turn and take those pretty polished shoes to another task force."
"what is your name, soldier?" *superior officer growls.*
"Dolly Parton. Now Dolly has just worked longer than a nine to five and Dolly ain't got the patience for dealing with a man like you. i got two bullets left. one for you and one for me. and if you think i won't do it- well we can put it to the test now-"
perhaps it was the utter dead look in your eyes, or the gentle yet seething venom in your tone. the superior officer simply growls and turns on their feet, leaving the task force.
it's funny cause you do get the respect, you are barely a good soldier but dang you can get shit done when need be. so price doesn't transfer you. he still keeps you close.
ghost is the one who loves the feral little shit you are. gaz and you talk mad shit about everyone on base. soap just absolutely adores you, you're the little sibling he's always wanted.
a/n: inspired by the feral nature of gen z.

Piece of Jake
Logan has hated his body his entire life. Obese, gay, and a shut in have been a terrible combination for him. He decides becoming his sexy roommate Jake may be just what he needs to build up his confidence.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Iâve had a crush on Jake for⌠well forever I guess. I guess thatâs one of the perks of being a part of the same class every year since kindergarten; you get to see the cute boys become cute men. Then there was the downside of that, that anybody who bullied you from kindergarten will decide to do it until you graduate. Theyâll do it for anything too; being gay, being fat, your race, your wealth. I was lucky enough to get 3 out of the 4 for about 12 years now. However, Iâm ready for that to change.
See I was blessed with a fantastic combination of having a slow metabolism, and an anxiety which I decided to soothe with eating. The result has left me to be a 19 year old with a BMI of 42. And yeah, BMI is bullshit if youâre stacked with muscle, but I had the rolls and pudge to prove there was some truth to it. Combine this with the fact that I was more queer than a midnight premier of Rocky Horror, and I came out to be not the most popular guy in school. I thought that would all change once I went to college, but freshman year was hell. I essentially spent the entire time in my dorm room, locked up in the dark and playing video games. But, I guess it wasnât all that bad.
See, back to Jake. Jake kept his status quo of being one of the top dogs from the ages of 5 to 18. Baseball star, debate captain, and voted âmost likely to succeedâ by our peers. Top all of that off that he was on of the few people who actually wasnât a total ass to me, and you can see why I was head over heels for him. He was straight of course, and even if there was a touch of bisexuality in him, he would never be interested in me. Now color me surprised when I found out that not only were we going to the same college, but we got randomly assigned to be roommates in the dorms! I was astounded, it was like there really was an astral force looking out for me.Â
So for almost the entirety of our freshman year, we chit chatted here and there, but Jake was almost never home. Instead, he was working to get himself into one of the fraternities and move into the house. While I was sad to not have as much time to admire Jake as I would like, that did give me the opportunity to go through his stuff. Mostly his closet. Jake wore the usual clothes youâd expect, hoodies, jerseys, wrangler jeans and the like. However, being that he was on the baseball team at the college, I found his stash of jockstraps he wore for practice. And good god, thank goodness laundry day was only once a week. The other 6 days I had a full time supply of used jocks to sniff and fantasize with.Â
I even tried to put one of them on in a hormone-fueled rage, but my thighs were probably the same mass as his entire body, and I couldnât get the damn thing on. The longer I admired Jake and saw him for who he was, the more my love for him grew. With that, so did my jealousy. Jake was everything I wanted. He was fit, cool, and could get any guy he wanted if he even batted an eye at them. My time alone did prove to give me an opportunity to do some research however.Â
See, Iâve tried for a long, long, long time to get fit on my own. Watching my diet, exercise, starving myself. But, nothing would work. Thatâs when I started to look for more, creative solutions. I came across a blog hidden deep on the web which talked about taking another personâs form. Most of these seemed bogus, but I had to try. I found one eventually from a user, âMagic_Mann_720â who shared a potion, once which he claimed could turn anybody into a bodysuit. I was about to just toss it aside, but after looking at my desk and seeing the empty bag of McDonaldâs staring back at me, I said fuck it.Â
In all honesty, brewing a magic potion was easier than I assumed it would be, and after just a few short weeks of waiting for unusual supplies to arrive in the mail, I had a vial of the stuff at my whim. Now, who could I possibly give this to? No, not Jake. But also, maybe? Would that make me the worst person imaginable if I slipped this to him? He was one of the few good people I had come across, I couldnât betray him like that. However, I saw one glimpse of his jock hanging from his hamper, and doubts crossed my mind. It was staring back at me, taunting me with how tight it fucking was. I had to wear it, and I only knew of one body it would perfectly fit.Â
He was like clockwork, especially early in the morning when he made his preworkout and went off to the gym at 6 in the morning. I set my alarm for 5:50, just early enough to slip the potion into his drink before he woke up and set off. It was of course impossible to wake up so early in the morning, but somehow I managed to silence my alarm without waking Jake.Â
I fumbled around in the dark and found his shake he made the night before. I had slept with the vial under my pillow, though I could barely sleep from the anticipation of my task today. Being careful to not wake him, I unscrewed the lid, dumped the contents of the vial into the jar, and shook it up. I had just laid back in my bed when his alarm woke him up. I kept my eyes closed, hoping to trick him into thinking I was asleep. I heard him stumble around the room, getting his bearings, getting dressed. I couldnât resist popping one eye open to see his lithe frame as he found a tank and basketball shorts.Â
He was already wearing boxers, but if my plan went accordingly, he never would wear such loose fitting underwear again. I heard him grab his shake, and my heart began to race. The pop of the lid went off, and I strained my ears to listen to him drain the contents quickly and quietly. The lid closed and just as I heard the doorknob turn, there was the sound of heavy stomps. I opened my eyes a bit wider to see Jake stumbling around, trying to get his bearings.Â
âHey⌠Logan?â Jake said weakly. I pretended to wake up and rose from bed, seeing him lean against his desk.Â
âJake? You okay?â I asked him. He turned his head to me, panting.Â
âI d-donât feel good man,â he said between breaths. âGet.. get help. Help.. me..â He slumped to the ground, and while I anticipated a loud thud as his jock body slammed to the ground, it was a soft thump, like that of clothes tossed to the ground. For a moment, I hesitated to creep any closer, afraid of what I would find. I mustered up the courage to turn on the bedside lamp and found a near horrifying site by the door.Â
There on the ground was Jake, but he was flat as a pancake. He arms and legs stretched out, head deflated, and the clothes he was wearing were atop of him in a pile. I tiptoed to the body, already feeling regret in what I had done. Fuck why did I do this to him? Was I really so driven by my own lust I essentially just killed a good guy?Â
My own footsteps were much heavier than Jakes, making the floorboards creek. I kicked at the body, the skin feeling as alive as ever, but made no movement of its own. I got on my knees, and with the tips of my fingers, grabbed Jakeâs hair and pulled his head up. I was met with Jakeâs face, his eyes now hollow sockets and mouth agape. I dropped the skin and scuttled back in fear. Fuck fuck fuck, itâs so god damn creepy! I took a few deep breaths and crawled on my hands and knees to the body once more.Â
I tried to be more confident this time, grabbing him by his shoulders, and pulling him up as I struggled to stand. Jake was of similar height to me, so once I was fulling standing, I leaned the face to my mine, the tips of his toes still slumped on the floor. You know, itâs less creepy now. Jake was always a cutie, and even as a husk of himself he was irresistible. It was too late now, and while I felt bad about what I had done, I did it with a purpose. The issue now was, how the hell did I fit inside? Speaking of, would I fit at all?
I pulled at his cheek and found it to be rather elastic. My curiosity piqued, and I pulled at the corners of his mouth, which stretched at least a foot wide when I put some effort in. That gave me an idea. I quickly took off my shirt and briefs, catching my reflection in the standing mirror as I did so. God damn it, I was so fucking fat. My stomach hung out in front of me, almost covering my pathetic cock. Ass was as wide as trailer, neck rolls which made it seem like my head sat straight on my shoulders. Tits bigger than most girls I went to school with. This was my last chance to do something about it.Â
I sat on my bed, laying Jake down in front of me like a pair of pants. Stepping one foot into Jakeâs mouth, I stretched it further and further until my thick calves were encompassed by his lips. Grabbing at his chest, I pulled him further up my leg, already running out of breath as I did so. This was a workout on its own. I remember watching videos of guys slipping into wetsuits when I was a teenager, it was a slight fetish of mine. I loved seeing the neoprene cling to their slim figures. Those guys would go inch by inch yanking the suit further up them, so I went ahead and mirrored the practice.Â
I found doing so actually made the process easier. Soon enough, my foot aligned with Jakeâs. I shimmied his calves to match mine, but it was so incredibly tight. It was like my leg was vacuum sealed inside of him, crushing the fat around my leg down to match his. I began to pant, scared I was cutting off all circulation. I was so scared to look down and see something horrific, but shot a glance and was amazed by what I saw. There, my right leg was pristine. It was a mirror image of Jakeâs which I had stared at so often when he wore shorts. I wiggled my toes, and Jakeâs did the same motion.Â
Kicking my leg around, the pain began to subside, and I could see up to my knee, it was like I had worked out my entire life. I could feel the beaming smile creep across my face as I stretched Jakeâs mouth open wide again to shove my other foot inside. Now that I had some practice, my left leg was far easier to work with and soon enough, I had two sets of legs which were built from years of baseball practices and running. My thighs proved to be another issue entirely, practically twice the twice of my calves.Â
I stood up from the bed, almost falling over from my balance being so off. Grabbing at Jakeâs stomach, I jumped up and down a few times, his skin stretching and sliding over me with his lurch. My I stuck my hand down the inside of Jakeâs mouth, the feeling of my now erect cock sliding against the inside of Jake. Although I wasnât generously endowed, it still hurt to have it crushed inside of him. I found Jakeâs cock, and while deflated, certainly overshadowed mine in length and girth. With one hand on the outside, and the other inside, I guided mine into his like a sheath.Â
It was the most orgasmic feeling I had ever experienced. Jakeâs cock went from looking like a flattened worm, to coming to full erection. He was at least seven inches long, and despite mine being half the size, somehow felt like it was filled entirely. It was beet red from anticipation, and while I wanted to cum right here and now, I had to finish what I started. I turned to the mirror once more, and was shocked by what I saw. From the waist up, I was still fat fuck Logan, but from the lower half, I was built like a god damn star. My new cock swung side to side, stiff as a board, and my ass, while squeezed in like a sausage, now was as perky as if I squatted 300 lbs. I turned and slapped Jakeâs ass, watching as the taut skin slapped me back. All hints of cellulite gone.Â
Finally was the part I was most afraid of, my stomach. It hung over the edge of Jakeâs body, the flap of my stomach going over Jakeâs lips. I sucked it in, which did practically nothing. Taking one of my arms, I pushed it as far in as I could, and used my other hand to pull the lips of Jakeâs mouth up. I groaned in pain, feeling like a rubber band was squishing me in and threatening to cut me in half. Somehow though, his head moved up and moved. It was by inches and incredibly painful. Once I reached my belly button, I found a system to make it easier. Moving him up further and further, I finally reached my chest before I had to fall onto the bed.Â
I was breathing heavier than ever, and drenched in sweat from what was left of my original body. I felt Jakeâs, and he was as dry as ever, as he would never be worn out from such a task. I counted down from ten and hoisted myself up, catching my sight in the mirror. My moobs hung over Jakeâs torso, but it was like I was wearing a skin corset. I rubbed my had over my new stomach, feeling how flat it was. In fact, I would even see the beginnings of a six pack bulging out. It was surreal, I donât think Iâve been this thing since⌠ever. I took a deep breath and worked to shove each of my tits down Jakeâs mouth.Â
Each of them was a chore on their own, but eventually, all that was left were my arms and head. I donât know how that would work, but if I made it this far, it was certainly possible. It would be tough as I would lose an arm at a time trying to slide them in. Taking my right one first, I wriggled my fingers inside, pushing them down Jakeâs like a skin tight glove. With each inch my fingers slid in, it was easier and easier as I gained Jakeâs strength. Eventually, the fingers found their way into his. I pulled at his bicep, as stretchy as the rest of him, and snapped it into place, enclosing my arm.Â
I rushed to do the same with my left and with my newfound strength, found this section to be the easiest. I was almost done. Jakeâs lips were around my neck, and I had to use his fingers to make sure he didnât choke me. I glanced at the mirror, and found Jake with my head. I turned my body around, admiring his form. I had taken several sneaky glances at him as he changed, but to have full autonomy, to see his tattoo on his thigh, the way his veins popped in his hands, the curvature of his muscles, it was like I was being treated to a feast.Â
âGoodbye Logan,â I told myself. I donât know if I would come back from this. Or, if I would even want to. I took a deep breath and shimmied his head up my own. The same tight sensation took over my entire headspace and it was like a migraine hit me. Using my hands, I smushed my face around, placing my nose into his, eyes, lips. I fluttered my eyelids and had to refocus my vision. Going to the mirror was a picture perfect reflection of Jake.Â
âHoly shit,â I said. Oh fuck, that was still my voice. I guess that wouldnât have changed. I donât know how I could pull off Jakeâs voice, but I would have to practice it. I looked at the corner of my mouth, seeing my original lips peak through Jakeâs. I took a finger, stretching and pulling it into place.
There, I was Jake. Fuck I was Jake! I laughed and rubbed my arms across my body, watching as Jake did it in the mirror.Â
I spent a good ten minutes trying different poses and watching as Jake bent to my will. Sniffing his pits, making funny faces, bending over and showing off my new hole to myself. That last one sent me over the edge and I knew I had to blow off the steam which had built up. I sat on the bed and hoisted my legs up, cradling the back of my knees in my hands. I could never have even thought about attempting that in my old body, but as Jake, I felt so lithe. My smile was beaming in between my legs as I puckered my hole. I had to see what this looked like. I wanted to see Jake be pathetic now. I twisted my face to match that of so many porn actors I had watched alone in this room.Â
âOhhhh⌠oh fuck me daddy,â I said, begging, watching Jakeâs eyes as they wished desperately for a fat cock to fill him up. I split into my hand and began to pump my new cock, already slick and slimy from precum. I stuck a finger in my mouth and wet it before sliding it over my hole and slicking it up. I had plenty of experience playing with my old hole, but I always struggled to get my arm in a position to really get deep in. Jake didnât have that problem though. I started to finger fuck myself, watching as Jake became his own bitch.Â
âOh fuck daddy, fuck me. Fuck me!â I yelled, the point of climax racing through my cock before I could even react. Laces of cum shot out and started to drench my body, reaching even to my face and getting into my hair. I pulled my finger out of my hole, let go of my cock, and felt it rest against my thigh. There in the reflection was Jake, covered in his own cum and looking like a bitch.Â
I giggled, knowing I should feel far more guilty about what I had done, but too high on my own bliss to care. After bathing in my glory, I decided to clean Jake up and explore his body some more. I grabbed one of his towels and left the room, still naked. Walking down the dorm hall to the bathroom, it was still dead silent. Logan would have been petrified at the idea of being caught naked by somebody, but Jake? Well Jake now hoped somebody would see him and be jealous.Â
Getting into the bathroom, I passed by Brad, another guy on our floor, who had a towel wrapped around his waist, still glistening from his shower.Â
âJake, the fuck?â He asked. I couldnât pull off Jakeâs voice yet, but I gave him a pat on the shoulder and winked at him as I pushed past. For a second I caught a glimpse of him checking out my body before he shook his head and rushed out to his room. I went to one of the mirrors in the bathroom and knelt over, posing and kissing at myself. Jake was going to become a lot more playful it seemed.Â
I took my time in the shower, feeling every crevice of Jakeâs body and feeling myself up. And of course, stretching out his hole some more to work him up to taking a real dick. Maybe by one of his new frat brothers I need to meet. Once I got back to our room, I knew there was only one thing left on my to do list of the morning. I went to Jakeâs hamper and pulled out the jock which was mocking me just hours before. I sniffed at, Jakeâs pheromones becoming mine.Â
I slipped both legs down and had no trouble at all this time adjusting my bulge and feeling the elastic hug my jock thighs. I snapped one of the bands, feeling a sheer run my spine as I did so. Slipping one of his black shirts on, I went for Jakeâs phone, which thankfully could be opened with just his face. I snapped a few pictures for myself to look at whenever I pleased. Now, how about we download Grindr to it and see what this new body can pull?

Tim had been through the wringer. He was convinced that no one else he knew had it as bad as he did right now. Heâd broken up with Lucy and been kicked out of Metro. Just when Tim had thought life was finally going well for him, the rug got pulled out from underneath him and he felt like he was at rock bottom with no way to pull himself back up.
You, however, were completely ignorant of Timâs foul mood and were cooking dinner for the both of you at home. You knew Tim had been working longer and later hours since he started working with Metro so youâd been taking it upon yourself to start cooking dinners most nights so that Tim had something to eat whenever he got home or could take any leftovers to work for lunch. You perked up slightly when you heard the door open but hearing the way it slammed afterwards made you flinch slightly, reminding you of the children's home you had spent years of your life in.
âHey.â You say softly as Tim enters the kitchen, smiling shyly. Your gaze flicks over to Tim before focusing back on the meal you are cooking.
âHey,â Tim replies gruffly, barely acknowledging you and only briefly petting Kojo who approaches him happily.
âWas work busy today?â You ask innocently, trying to keep the mood light. You didnât know what it was that was bothering Tim but you had instantly picked up on his off mood that had been hanging over him for the past few days.
âIt doesnât matter,â Tim grumbles, poking around in the fridge and various cupboards for stuff to eat.
âIâm making dinner. Do you want any? Itâs almost done.â You offer, noticing Tim scavenging as if he wasnât aware of the food you were cooking.
âNo,â Tim says, taking you aback slightly at the sharpness of his tone.
âIâll box up whateverâs left and you can have it for lunch or something if you want.â You say, beginning to plate up some food for yourself while Kojo whines at Tim's lack of attention, attempting to get in front of him to get the attention he usually gets from him.
âKojo, get out of the way.â Tim scowls, using his foot to carefully move Kojo out of the way. He didnât intend to hurt Kojo, but the dogâs persistence was beginning to get on his nerves.
âIs everything okay? Is something bothering you?â You ask innocently, worried about Tim with the way he was acting with everything around him.
âItâs none of your business. Donât stick your nose in where it doesnât belong. I canât get a momentâs peace around here.â Tim snaps, eyes full of anger as he glares over at you, your eyes wide and lips parted slightly in shock. Tim had never spoken to you in such a way before and all it could do was remind you of the way people would talk to you in the children's home you were in. As the words replayed in your head and the smell of the dinner you cooked wafted under your nose, you felt your stomach turn, your appetite suddenly gone.
With your appetite now non-existent. You decided to quickly pack all the food you had cooked away, store it away for later and then clean up after yourself. You petted Kojo on your way out of the kitchen, feeling sorry for him after the way Tim had dismissed him and he followed you as you made your way to your room with Kojo hot on your heels, not wanting to face Tim. Who after you left the kitchen, had made his way to the living room. As you sat in your room, you thought more and more about the way Tim had talked to you, you began to feel more and more unsafe in what you had previously thought was the safest place in the world for you. As the unsettled feeling begins to seep in, you decide you need to just get out of the house as soon as possible so you grab your school bag and a duffle bag, scooping things into them before turning to Kojo who whines and lays his head in between his paws, seemingly sensing your intentions.
âIâm sorry, buddy.â You apologise to Kojo, petting him as you crouch down at his level. You wished you could take Kojo with you but you knew it wouldnât be fair to Kojo to be dragged along with you. You knew Tim wasnât upset with Kojo like he was with you. After zipping up the bags, you sling one over each shoulder and make your way to the kitchen to grab some food and put it in your bag before hearing the tv in the living room and making your way there with Kojo following behind you like a shadow.
âHey, Tim. Iâm going to Julietâs house. Weâve got a project we need to work on and she invited me over.â You say quietly, trying not to distract Tim too much when you realise he was watching a football game. In his foul mood, Tim hadnât even noticed that you had elected to call him by his name instead of calling him âDadâ like you had grown accustomed to.
âYeah, sure. Whatever.â Tim mumbles, his eyes remaining fixed on the game and barely giving you a second of attention. At his dismissive tone, you nod and turn to head out of the house, apologising quietly to Kojo once more before exiting the house, and closing the door behind you. After you left, Kojo whined loudly, pawing at the door and pacing in front of it anxiously.
âKojo shut it!â Tim scolds Kojo from the living room, making Kojo let out a longer defiant whine while lying down in front of the door watching carefully as if you would come back in if he waited long enough.
Meanwhile, you were making your way to the nearest bus stop, putting your headphones on as you blink back tears. You wait patiently for the bus to arrive and you climb on, pay for your ticket and take a seat at the back of the bus, curling into yourself and allowing your built-up tears to fall down your cheeks as the bus begins to pull away from the stop. You watch the world go by as you listen to music and as the bus drives past the bus stop closest to Julietâs house, you pull your phone out of your hoodie pocket and hide your location from Tim as well as shutting your phone off completely. You knew it wouldâve been wiser to have left your phone behind at the house but you liked the security of having it just in case something happened, even if you wanted nothing to do with Tim right now.
You rode the bus until the end of its route, getting off at the last stop and making your way along the familiar paths you used to take when things got too much for you at the childrenâs home. You follow the route that was burned into your memory, silently wishing you had brought Kojo along with you just for company. When the familiar run-down cabin comes into view, youâre reminded of all the times you had sought refuge there on particularly bad nights. The cabin was on the outskirts of the city, somewhere that you knew people wouldnât think to look if anyone did think to look for you.
Not that anyone ever looked for you when you left.
As you enter the cabin, youâre hit by the chilly, damp air that had been festering in the cabin that had remained untouched for a while now. You make a beeline for the small mattress that lays on the floor, immediately pulling your blanket out of your bag and prepping a sad-looking bedspread. Once you made up some semblance of a bed, you grabbed a container of food you had packed and ate a little bit of the food, trying to save what you could. Once you had eaten, you pulled your hoodie off, bunching it up and turning it into a makeshift pillow before lying on the mattress, tugging the blanket around you tightly. The cabin was not built to keep the cold out and you had regretted not bringing anything warmer. As you curled up, more tears filled your eyes, spilling out from under your eyelids. You couldnât believe Tim had flipped on you completely and you didnât know what you had done to get that treatment from him. You also found yourself missing Kojo already. He always curled up with you on the bed and provided you with the companionship you needed in this moment. You continue to cry quietly until your exhaustion begins to get the better of you, making you slip into a restless sleep.
The next morning, Tim wakes up in a slightly better mood than he was last night. He was still annoyed and upset that he was back on patrol instead of working with Metro, but he figured that he should be grateful that he at least still had his job within the LAPD. As Tim gets ready to take Kojo on his morning walk, he finds his dog still lying by the front door, whimpering softly.
âCome on, buddy. Letâs go for a walk.â Tim says, grabbing Kojoâs lead and clipping it onto his collar but Kojo remains in place, refusing to move.
âKojo, you love your walks why are you acting like this?â Tim grumbles, tugging lightly on the lead to try and entice Kojo to get up. When Kojo remains in place, whining softly at Tim who lets out a strong sigh.
âKojo, come on,â Tim says through gritted teeth, gently nudging Kojo with his foot and encouraging him up onto his feet and out of the door. Kojo trailed behind Tim dejectedly, clearly not enjoying the walk as much as he usually did. Taking in Kojoâs dampened mood, Tim decided to cut the walk short, heading back home when he had enough of Kojoâs constant tugging to go back home. When he got home, Kojo laid himself by the front door once more, continuing to whine softly.
âWhat has gotten into you?â Tim wonders out loud, glancing at his dog with a confused expression as he walks past, making his way to his room to shower and get ready to head to Mid-Wilshire. As he finishes getting ready for work, Tim goes to the kitchen to grab himself some coffee before leaving the house, petting Kojo on the way out before trying one last attempt to get Kojo to go and lie down somewhere more comfortable and when heâs met with resistance he gives up and makes his way out to his truck to head to work.
Upon arriving at Mid-Wilshire, Tim heads into the station, and nearly walks straight into Lucy, stopping in his tracks and awkwardly clearing his throat.
âGood morning.â Tim greets her awkwardly with a curt nod, side-stepping around her and making his way to the locker room to get changed into his uniform. He knew things were awkward with Lucy. He had broken her heart by breaking up with her and also shattered his own in the process. He had loved Lucy so much and it wasnât an easy choice for him in the slightest. He did it to protect her. Tim knew he was too broken to maintain a relationship with her and he knew that Lucy deserved better and she would find better. After changing into his uniform, Tim heads to the rec room ready for morning roll call. Grey soon steps into the room once everyone has gathered and begins the roll call. After everyone is dismissed, Tim is stopped by Grey before he has the chance to leave.
âBradford. Doctor London is here and sheâll be joining you on a ride along for a psychological evaluation.â He says, already predicting Timâs reaction before he has even finished his sentence.
âAre you serious?â Tim asks, looking at Grey like heâd grown a second head.
âDo I look like Iâm joking?â Grey asks, folding his arms across his chest as he raises an eyebrow, seemingly challenging Tim.
âNo, sir,â Tim says, backing down and shaking his head.
âI thought I didnât. This is required to tell us whether youâre fit for duty. Go and get it over with and weâll take relevant action wherever we need to. Youâre also riding with Thorsen today.â Grey says, gesturing towards the door with his head as Tim lets out a weak sigh, nodding his head and making his way out so he can go and talk to Doctor London much to his annoyance.
âSergeant Bradford,â Aaron says, noticing Tim and waving him over as Tim rolls his eyes, approaching him and who he could only assume was Doctor London.
âYou must be Doctor London,â Tim says, stopping in front of the two and eyeing up the woman who nodded nervously.
âI am, yes,â Blair says, offering her hand out for Tim to shake which he does.
âOfficer Thorsen, go and grab the war bags. Doctor London, you can follow me to our shop.â Tim says, already wanting to get the day over and done with.
âYouâre already very dismissive of this evaluation,â Blair notes, watching as Tim rolls his eyes.
âI donât need this but Iâm tolerating it for the sake of my career,â Tim says, glancing over at Blair and folding his arms across his chest, a protective gesture that didnât go unnoticed by Blair.
âI got the war bags,â Aaron announces, entering with the two large bags and shotguns, smiling oblivious to the tension between Blair and Tim.
âGood. Put them in the trunk.â Tim says, already beginning to open the door and getting behind the wheel while Aaron puts the bags away before getting into the passenger seat while Blair gets into the back seat.
By the time it had gotten to their lunch break, Tim was fed up with Blair and her attempts at delving into his psyche. They headed back to the station to head out to where the food trucks were so they could grab something to eat. As they get food, Tim notices Angela sitting eating and crosses to sit with her.
âIf I hear one more theory about why I act the way I do Iâll actually go mad and need psychiatric help,â Tim says as he plants himself in the seat opposite Angela, noticing the slight laugh that escaped her.
âIâd pay to see that.â Angela jokes, continuing to eat as Tim rolls his eyes.
âGlad you take joy in my misery,â Tim grumbles, aggressively stabbing his fork into his food as Angelaâs eyes widen slightly in shock at the aggression.
âSorry. I didnât mean to poke at you. I know things are pretty rough right now.â Angela apologises, feeling bad about teasing Tim in a vulnerable time for him.
âItâs okay,â Tim says quietly, offering Angela a soft smile to try and reassure her that everything is okay.
âSo, howâs y/n doing?â Angela asks, lifting her drink to her lips and taking a sip as Timâs eyebrows furrow slightly.
âWhat?â He asks, confused by the question at first.
ây/n? How is she doing?â Angela repeats, growing concerned by Timâs reaction as the gears begin to turn in her head.
âOh, I think she said she was going to a friendâs last night. Something like that.â Tim shrugs and continues to eat his food as Angela processes what he said and frowns.
âWhat did you do?â Angela asks, making Tim look at her, shocked.
âWhat? Why do you think I did something?â He says, anger seeping into his tone in his defensiveness but Angela wasnât one to back down against Tim.
âWhat. Did. You. Do?â Angela says, enunciating each word as she leans forward slightly in challenge to Tim. The two share a silent staring contest for a moment before Tim lets out a huff and leans back against his chair.
âShe just went to a friend's house. I think she said something about a school project.â Tim reiterates watching as Angela sighs in frustration.
âTim. Can you confirm sheâs there? Itâs not like you to use the phrase âI thinkâ when it comes to y/n. Usually, you know where she is every second of every day.â Angela says, confused by Timâs nonchalant attitude towards your wellbeing.
âFine. If it makes you feel better. Iâll pull up her location now.â Tim says exasperatedly, pulling his phone out of his pocket and opening the tracking app in his phone. As it opened, his eyebrows furrowed, and he flicked between looking at the map and the data bars in the corner.
âWhatâs wrong?â Angela asks, concerned by Timâs reaction.
âJust give me a second.â Tim starts, refreshing the page and beginning to panic a little when your location doesnât show up.
âTim. Whatâs wrong?â Angela asks. Once again, Tim doesnât give an answer, closing the app and opening his contacts, scrolling through the various phone numbers as he fights to recall which friend you had said you were spending the night at.
âHer phone mustâve died. Iâll call her friendâs mom.â Tim mutters, barely audible to Angela but she hears regardless and watches anxiously as Tim calls the number and lifts the phone to his ear, listening to each ring with bated breath.
âHey, Tim.â Julietâs mother, Eve greets as she picks up the phone.
âHey, Eve. I just wanted to call and check on y/n. I think her phone must be dead or something because-â
âSorry, hold on a second. y/n? Sheâs not here Tim.â Eve says, cutting Tim off.
âNo, she told me last night that she and Juliet have a school project or something they needed to do.â Tim insists, wondering why Eve was telling him otherwise.
âHold on, let me just grab Juliet and see if sheâs spoken to y/n. But I promise you sheâs not at our house, Tim.â Eve says hurriedly and Tim then hears her calling for Juliet to come to her so they can talk.
âHey, Mom. What do you need?â Tim hears Juliet ask as she enters the room.
âSweetie, have you heard anything from y/n today?â Eve asks, and all Tim can focus on at the moment is the silence that falls over the phone.
âNo, we havenât talked since we left school yesterday. Why, is everything okay?â Juliet says, worry seeping into her voice as the question her mother asked her begins to settle in her mind and alert her to the fact that something could be wrong.
âTimâŚâ Eve mutters into the phone, noticing the dead silence on the other end of the line.
âI have to go. Let me know if you hear anything from her.â Tim says quickly and apologetically before hanging up the call and looking at Angela who had watched the entire call with a worried expression.
âWhat happened?â Angela asks, concerned as Tim shoves his phone in his pocket.
ây/n didnât go to her friendâs house last night and she hasnât heard from her since they left school yesterday,â Tim says, already bracing himself for an angry rant from Angela but instead she grabs all her stuff and gets to her feet.
âCome on. Weâre talking to Grey and weâre getting search parties going.â Angela says, gesturing for Tim to get up and follow her which he does, hurriedly grabbing his trash so he could throw it out before heading into the station with Angela who marches straight into Greyâs office.
âSergeant Grey, we need to organise some search parties. y/n has gone missing.â Angela says, giving Grey no time to even ask why the two had barged into his office unannounced.
âWhat do you mean sheâs gone missing?â Grey asks, concern creeping across his face when he registers what it is that has just been said to him.
âShe left the house last night claiming she was going to a friendâs house but when I called her friendâs mom she told me that y/n never came over and that she and her friend hadnât spoken since they left school yesterday,â Tim explains, once again trying the phone tracking app and fighting the urge to chuck his phone across the room when it once again comes up with no location.
âDid anything prompt this or do you think she was taken?â Grey asks, wanting to make sure he has all the facts straight before they start doing anything and Tim feels all eyes on him.
âI was an idiot. I was so upset about everything that happened with Metro and Lucy and I took it out on y/n. Itâs my fault sheâs gone.â Tim says, explaining what happened as the realisation sets in.
âWeâll find her. Do you know any places sheâd go to other than her friend's houses?â Angela asks, approaching Tim and resting a hand on his shoulder to quietly reassure him.
âShe never mentioned anywhere. Sheâd always come home if she felt unsafe or anything. Shit.â Tim starts, suddenly realising the weight of his actions and swearing quietly.
âWhat is it?â Grey asks.
âI made the one place she felt safe feel so unsafe that she left. I have no idea where she couldâve gone. She could get hurt or worse.â Tim says, the anxiety evident in his voice as he begins to pace nervously.
âTim. Calm down. Look weâll get officers looking for her. Here, send me a clear picture of y/n and weâll send it to everyone patrolling so they know who theyâre looking for.â Angela says, standing in front of Tim to stop his pacing. At Angelaâs words, Tim nods, fumbling with his phone, his shaking hands fighting to remain steady as he finds a picture of you that would help officers recognise you if they saw you. Tim sends the picture to Angela who then forwards it to the appropriate people.
âLetâs get out on the streets and look for her. Weâll find her.â Grey says with a nod, getting up from his desk and gesturing for Tim and Angela to get out and start looking. But before Tim heads out to grab Aaron, he opens his texts and sends you a message, hoping by some miracle youâll see it.
âHey, kid. Where are you?â
âI promise Iâm not mad or upset. Iâm worried about you. You can come home.â
Across LA, you were still hiding away in the cabin that had been home to you on those rough nights. As you sat on the mattress, you felt tears welling in your eyes as you thought about the night before. It reminded you of the one other time you had been fostered and how you had been so badly treated that you hid away in this cabin until you decided that going back to Stanâs childrenâs home was a better option. You remember the harsh words they had thrown in your direction, how nowhere was safe for you. You had never had a home before until you met Tim. Tim had taken you in and given you a safe place to call home. You had an adorable dog who you loved most in the whole world. But you were scared to go back. You knew you wouldnât be welcome. You knew Tim probably wanted nothing to do with you after all your pestering. You couldnât blame him if he wanted rid of you. You shouldâve known he would get fed up with you and want you gone.
After a few minutes of sitting on the mattress and feeling sorry for yourself, you then decide to dig through your bag and find your wallet, looking at all the money you have and counting it quickly. You knew you couldnât use your card to make any payments because the LAPD would clock it almost immediately and be able to track you down before you even had a chance to realise your mistake. After counting your money, you figure you have enough to buy more food if you need to and you have enough to get a bus out of LA. You werenât quite ready to hop a bus and leave LA but you wanted to make sure you had the money in case you wanted to leave. You wanted to at the very least give yourself a day or two to really think about whether it was worth staying in LA or not. As you feel your stomach rumble slightly, you dig in your bag for some snacks to tide you over. You hadnât brought a lot of food with you so you needed to make sure it lasted as long as possible. As you eat, you feel a surge of emotion rush over you and you put the food down, burying your face in your knees and sobbing into them.
You had never felt so alone and unwanted in your life.
Unbeknownst to you, Mid-Wilshire was in panic mode with the news that you were missing and everyone was looking for you. They had no idea where you could be so their plan was to cover as much ground as possible and hope they found you quickly.
âTim, where are we going?â Aaron asks, questioning where Tim is driving to as they begin their search. Tim doesnât reply, instead just stops outside his house and jumps out, heading into the house before Aaron even has a chance to process what was going on. As Tim unlocks the door and enters the house, he notices that Kojo is still in the place he was when Tim left in the morning.
âOh, Kojo⌠Iâm sorry, buddy.â Tim apologises, crouching down to pet his beloved dog, realising that Kojo was acting up because he knew something was up with you.
âAre you going to tell me whatâs going on or are we just making a pit stop so you can pet your dog?â Aaron asks, appearing in the doorway and looking at Tim, confused.
âAre you-? no! There might be some clues as to where she is.â Tim says, straightening up and heading to your room. The movement somehow encourages Kojo to follow him. Aaron also takes the initiative to follow Tim and when they enter your room he elects to stay put, not touching a thing while Tim looks through your desk drawers, leafing through old school work for any sign that could point him towards your location. As Tim looks around, Kojo hops up on your bed, whining as he lies down and studies Timâs movements carefully.
âSheâs taken clothes, her wallet, basically everything someone needs if theyâre trying to run away,â Tim says, his voice growing angrier with each word said. None of his anger was directed towards you, but rather at himself for pushing you to run away.
âOkay, so we know she intentionally left. Our next port of call would be to check bus stations right? If she wanted to get far sheâd need to get a bus or an Uber or something.â Aaron points out, snapping Tim from his panicked state and grounding him enough to realise that Aaron was making a good point.
âYouâre right. Call that in. Get people checking bus station cameras, whatever they can.â Tim says, making Aaron nod and step out of the room to radio about checking buses. As Aaron steps out of the room, Tim pets Kojo once more, sitting on the edge of your bed.
âYou knew something was up with y/n, huh? You knew and I brushed you and her aside. Iâm so sorry, buddy.â Tim apologises quietly, feeling guilty that he couldnât open his eyes for more than a second the night before long enough to realise your intentions when you left the house. He wished he could go back in time and not have raised his voice at you. He took his anger out on you and you didnât deserve that kind of treatment. Sensing Timâs mood, Kojo shifted and rested his head on Timâs lap offering a wordless comfort that Tim appreciated, but didnât feel deserving of.
âHey, Iâve called it in. We should head to the nearest bus station and check their CCTV and talk to any bus drivers if we can.â Aaron says, appearing in the doorway again.
âYeah, just give me a second. You can go and wait out by the shop.â Tim says with a nod, waiting for Aaron to leave the room before he gently shifts Kojo off his lap.
âIâll be back. Hopefully with y/n.â Tim whispers softly to the dog, petting him one last time before leaving the room and heading out to where Aaron is waiting outside.
âCome on, letâs go,â Aaron says, already beginning to get into the vehicle before Tim has even had a chance to lock the front door.
âIâm coming.â Tim says, locking the door quickly and hurrying to the shop and getting behind the drivers seat, starting the engine and beginning the drive to the bus station he knew was closest to his house.
When they arrive at the bus station, they were both quickly aware of the stares they were getting as they enter the station and making their way to the ticket booth to speak to the employee.
âHello, officers. Can I help you?â The employee asks, glancing between the two of them and Tim could see the slight fear in their face as they spoke.
âIâm Officer Bradford, this is Officer Thorsen. We just have a few questions about something, is there someone we could speak to, and who could allow us to look through some security footage?â Tim asks, watching as the employee grows more nervous.
âYes, Iâll grab my manager. Give me a minute.â They say quickly, scurrying off to go and find someone who could help them. As they wait, Tim looks at the various boards they have displayed in the station, showing the various buses and where they go to. As his eyes scan the board, he feels more fear swirling in his stomach making him feel nauseous as he reads city names he knew were far away. He had no clue if you had hopped a bus going to a different city or a different state and that thought alone terrified him.
âOfficers? Iâm James, the manager. We can head back to my office.â Tim and Aaron turn around to come face to face with the manager and they nod in tandem, following James back to his office.
âThank you for meeting with us,â Aaron says gratefully as they enter the small office, all three men sitting on the available chairs in the office.
âNo need to thank me. What brings you here today?â James says, dismissively waving his hand before focusing on the two as Tim digs into his pocket, pulling his phone out of his pocket and unlocking it so he can show James the picture of you.
âHave you seen this girl? If she had come here it wouldâve been last night. Probably sometime around eight or nine pm?â Tim asks, showing the photo to James who studies the picture closely, eyes squinting slightly as he takes note of every detail.
âItâs hard to say for sure. I mean we get so many people coming in and out of here Iâm sure you can understand that itâs hard to confirm that. I was mostly working back here last night but we can check the security cameras? Theyâre not the best quality but itâs worth checking.â James says, frowning slightly and letting out a slightly irritated huff at himself when he doesnât recognise you in the photo.
âItâs worth a look,â Aaron says, nodding as James motions for the two to come around his desk so they can look at his screen and what the security cameras had captured the night before.
âThis is the camera angled at the ticket booth, assuming she bought a ticket here rather than online.â James muses, eyes scanning the various people appearing on the screen.
âI canât see her. Shit.â Tim sighs, bowing his head in shame when skimming through the footage shows him nothing of use.
âOkay, we clearly need to look elsewhere. James, if itâs okay with you Iâm going to put you in contact with someone who will want you to send over the footage so they can do a more thorough check. But thank you for being so cooperative.â Aaron says, digging in his pocket for his card, scribbling a contact down and handing the card to James before he and Tim head out of the office. Tim rushes by Aaron, getting into their shop as quickly as possible and the second he is in his seat he pulls his phone out of his pocket and texts you again.
ây/n, please come home.â
âOr tell me where you are and Iâll come and get you. It doesnât matter where.â
âIf you donât want to see me, thatâs fine too. I can send someone else to get you instead.â
âIâm just really worried about you. Please let me know youâre okay.â
Tim types and sends multiple messages, his mind reeling with worst-case scenarios about what could happen to you. While he knew you left the house intentionally to run away, he also knew that you could get hurt or worse and heâd have no idea where you were.
âMaybe we should head back to the station. See if anyone has found anything.â Aaron offers as he gets in the passenger seat and Timâs head snaps to look at him, a furious look on his face.
âYouâre telling me you want me to give up looking for my kid?â Tim asks, the anger evident in his voice as he glares at Aaron who almost shrinks back in his seat under the intensity of the glare.
âIâm not saying that. But someone might have some information so itâs worth checking at the station.â Aaron says, holding his hands up defensively and trying to calm the tension.
âPlus, you probably need a break. Youâre stressing out and it wonât help you or y/n if youâre running yourself ragged right out of the gate.â He continues, watching as Tim lets out an irritated huff sitting back in the seat and moving to grab the wheel.
âFine, but if anything comes in while weâre on our way back weâre going there,â Tim says, starting the engine and beginning the drive to the station. On their way back, no calls came in so they arrived at the station disappointed. Tim makes his way to the break room, grabbing some snacks and pouring himself a coffee, while his back is turned, he hears the door open and glances over his shoulder to see Lucy entering.
âI heard about y/n. Iâm so sorry.â Lucy starts quietly, while Tim shakes his head, knowing he is unworthy of any sympathy from her. When Tim remains silent, Lucy takes a small step closer, making Tim turn to face her properly.
âI still may be mad at you for whatâs happened but y/n isnât a part of that and I feel awful that sheâs missing. Iâm going to do what I can to find her. Iâd never wish for someoneâs kid to go missing, no matter how much they upset me.â Lucy says softly as Tim looks away, trying to regain control of his emotions. It was hard enough for him to manage his feelings regarding everything that happened prior to you going missing. Now he not only had the extensive fear of never seeing you again but also the emotions of Lucy showing him any compassion after what he did sent him into a spiral and he didnât know how to handle any of them.
âI just donât know what to do,â Tim whispers, furiously blinking in hopes of keeping his tears at bay. In seeing Timâs broken state Lucy glances over her shoulder, and when she sees no one nearby she steps closer, winding her arms around Tim and hugging him tightly. The embrace takes Tim aback at first, stiffening up at the sudden comfort before he hesitantly wraps his arms around her, ducking his head to rest it on her shoulder.
âLet it be known Iâm still upset with you,â Lucy whispers, reiterating herself as she feels Tim nod against her shoulder.
âI know,â Tim replies quietly, knowing he didnât deserve any kindness from Lucy at this moment but relishes the embrace while it is being held. After a few seconds, Lucy releases Tim from the embrace and looks up at him for a moment. The two held a stare for a brief moment before Lucy cleared her throat and looked away from him.
âIâm going to head out and see if I can find anything. Iâll let you know if I do. Take care of yourself.â Lucy says softly with a nod before backing away and exiting the break room, leaving Tim alone with tears in his eyes.
When Timâs shift came to an end after a few more hours of searching, he didnât want to leave and everyone knew it. He tried desperately to get Grey to let him work overtime but Grey shook his head.
âBradford, you need to go home and rest. Youâll be no good to anyone if youâre dead on your feet. The night shift will keep an eye out for her and listen out for any reports. The moment we find anything out you will be informed.â Grey says sternly, folding his arms across his chest and watching Tim carefully as he sighs.
âFine.â Tim concedes, barely listening to Greyâs goodbye as he makes his way out to the locker room to get changed and head home. As Tim leaves the locker room, he is painfully aware of the pitiful gazes the other officers are giving him. He knew most of them had probably recognised who you were from the picture.
But Tim didnât want their pity. He wanted to find you.
When he got home, Tim was positively miserable. He opened the door and couldnât help but frown when he saw Kojo lying in the hallway, feeling even more guilty when Kojo approached him, sniffing at him before whining softly.
âIâm sorry,â Tim whispers, reaching down to pet Kojo gently. After discarding his bag on the floor, Tim makes his way to the living room, collapsing on the sofa and burying his head in his hands as he sighs loudly. Tim felt awful about this whole situation. It was his fault you were gone. When he lifts his head, he decides to check his phone and see if youâve replied. Instead, he just sees his messages and no proof you had read the messages.
That night, Tim could barely sleep. He tossed and turned in bed, aware of Kojoâs irritated huffs as Tim rolled over for the hundredth time. All he could see when he closed his eyes were images of you getting hurt. Every time he thought he was getting close to sleep he thought of a new scenario and he was wide awake in seconds a continuous loop that played out over the entire night.
When the next day of searching yielded no results, Tim was fully panicking going into the second full day of searching. He knew if more days passed without finding you, thereâd be an even lesser chance of finding you. Everyone was walking on eggshells around Tim, he was more irritable, and heâd snap at anyone who asked him a question that neared too close to the topic of you. There was still no evidence that you were in LA yet there was no evidence you had left either. It was like you disappeared off the face of the earth entirely. When Tim left the house on the morning of the second full day of searching, he was hoping today would be the day someone would find you.
In your secluded cabin, you were running low on food so you had to make a choice. You needed to decide whether you would go into the city to buy food, or not risk it and just get out of the city entirely. When your stomach growled louder, you figured it would be best to go and grab some food from the nearest store you could find and then you could head back to the cabin and pack up to be ready to head to the nearest bus station to get out of LA.
After all, you were certain no one was looking for you.
You head out of the cabin, tugging on a hoodie as you leave and make your way down to the nearest corner store. You browse up and down the aisles, looking for various snacks that could last you a long journey and that werenât too expensive so you could afford a ticket to whichever place looks most appealing to you when you get to the bus station. You end up grabbing a few of your favourite things that you knew would last you a long journey before you could buy more food. Once youâve picked what you want, you approach the counter, smiling at the employee who scans your items and then gives you your total. You dig out the appropriate cash and hand it to the employee, thanking her as she hands you your items in a bag. As you leave the store, the employee grabs the phone by the register, immediately dialling the police.
Lucy was the first officer on the scene after the employee called in a sighting of you and was now currently standing in front of the employee, getting all the information she could.
âShe came in and bought some food. Just snacks, chips, water, stuff like that.â The employee, named Molly explains, fiddling with her fingers.
âDid you see which way she went once she left?â Lucy asks, getting ready to make notes.
âYeah, she exited and went that way,â Molly says, walking to the door and pointing in the direction you had walked.
âThank you for your cooperation,â Lucy says quickly, wanting to search the area as quickly as possible. She knew the LAPD hadnât thought to look this far since most thought youâd be in the centre of the city or gone entirely. She and the other officers decided to spread out and search the area, making sure to instruct everyone to not tell Tim unless there was good news.
As Lucy patrols the area, searching for places you could potentially be hiding. She finds her gaze drifting to the woodland area just on the outskirts of the area. Her eyebrows furrowed as she studied the area, thinking of all the potential places you could be hiding in there.
âHey, Iâm going to check over there,â Lucy calls over to a nearby officer, pointing out where sheâd be heading before beginning the short trek up to the area. She walks around, keeping an eye out for anything that could be a place for you to hide, one hand on her gun holster just in case she needs it. After about half an hour of searching, Lucy stumbles across a cabin and she figures it is the perfect place for someone to hide out if they donât want to be found so she approaches the door, pounding on it and calling out.
ây/n, are you in there?â
âLucy?â You whisper, barely audible as you stop shoving things into your bag. You debate remaining silent and hoping that Lucy doesnât come in but after hearing Lucyâs voice, you realise how much you missed being around everyone. How much you missed your home. How much you missed Kojo. How much you missed Tim. Before you can get up and open the door, Lucy does it for you, entering and stopping in the doorway when she notices you.
ây/nâŚâ Lucy starts, beginning to cross to you carefully, stopping just in front of you and crouching down to be at your level.
âHey, Lucy.â You say weakly, attempting a small smile.
âSo this is where youâve been hiding out the last couple of days, huh?â She muses lightly, looking around the small cabin as you nod.
âI used to come here a lot when things were rough before.â You say quietly, making Lucy frown slightly.
âDid something happen with you and Tim?â Lucy asks carefully, watching as you nod.
âHe seemed off the last few days and when he came home⌠I donât know maybe I annoyed him but he snapped. It reminded me of bad times and I just wanted to get out of there.â You admit quietly, tears springing to your eyes.
âHey, you didnât do anything wrong. Iâm sure Tim didnât mean to snap at you. I know he cares for you.â Lucy says softly, willing to put her own anger and upset towards Tim aside to mend your relationship with him.
âI know. But it really hurt at the time.â You say, sniffling slightly to try and keep your tears at bay.
âI can imagine. I wonât force you to talk to Tim straight away but we can get you back to the station, you can have a shower and change and Iâll get you something proper to eat. Does that sound good?â Lucy offers, smiling gently as you nod.
âThat sounds good.â You reply, a single tear slipping down your cheek. At your response, Lucy helps you pack your things away, picking up your bags and escorting you down to her shop so she can get you to the station. Once she gets you inside, she grabs you a spare t-shirt and pair of sweatpants for you to change into as well as handing you a towel so you can shower. Just before you disappear for your shower, Lucy asks you what youâd like to eat so she can order it to arrive by the time you finish your shower. Once youâve picked what you want, you go for your shower and Lucy steps out of the locker room, opening her texts and messaging Tim.
âWeâve found y/n. Sheâs okay, Iâve brought her back to the station.â
The moment Tim receives the message, he perks up, a sigh of relief escaping his lips as he finally relaxes. He was desperate to drive back to the station right then and there, but he was in the middle of watching Aaron giving a ticket to a driver they had pulled over for reckless driving. And as much as he wanted to jump in the shop and drive off, he knew he couldnât leave Aaron behind. Tim waits impatiently for Aaron to finish the exchange, silently willing the exchange to go quicker so he can get back to the station and check on you. When Aaron had finally finished giving the ticket out and sending the driver on their way, Tim was crossing to the shop as quickly as possible.
âThorsen, come on we need to get going,â Tim says quickly, waving Aaron over.
âWhatâs up?â Aaron asks as the two get into the shop.
âLucy found y/n. Sheâs at the station.â Tim says, already beginning to drive back to the station. Tim was fairly sure he was nearly breaking several road laws on his way back but all he wanted to do was get to the station. When they finally made it back to the station, Tim barely turned the engine off and pulled the keys out before leaping out of the shop and rushing into the building, quickly locating Lucy.
âWhere is she?â Tim asks hurriedly, barely able to focus on anything.
âSheâs in the break room. Tim, she told me what happened, take it easy on her.â Lucy urges softly, looking up at Tim.
âI will. Thank you for finding her. I owe you big time.â Tim says gratefully, knowing Lucy probably wanted nothing to do with him after this but he wanted to make sure she knew he owed her. After Lucy nodded in acknowledgement, Tim moved around her and made his way to the break room where you were sitting, picking at the food in front of you as you looked up to see Tim.
âHiâŚâ You whisper quietly, struggling to maintain eye contact with Tim as he softens, crossing to the chair opposite you and sitting in it.
âHey, kid,â Tim says, studying your expression carefully as you tear up.
âIâm sorry.â You say, wiping at your eyes harshly.
âNo, Iâm sorry. I took my anger out on you the other night and you didnât deserve it.â Tim says, stopping you and taking the chance to apologise himself.
âI didnât tell you about this before but Iâve been fostered once before. I was about seven when it happened but the people were assholes. They constantly shouted at me and threatened me. When you snapped at me it just reminded me of them.â You explain, too afraid to watch Timâs reaction as you explain yourself.
ây/n. Iâm so sorry I reminded you of them. I never wanted to remind you of anything like that. I wanted to provide you with a safe home and I took that away from you.â Tim apologises, feeling guilt sinking in his stomach as he realises how much he hurt you with what he did.
âBut Iâm sorry for scaring you. I saw your messages just before you got back. I hurt you too.â You apologise, frowning as Tim shakes his head.
âI deserved it. You didnât.â Tim insists, and while you knew you could bicker back and forth with him about who hurt who more, you were exhausted.
âCan we go home?â You ask, watching as Tim nods, already standing up from his seat and packing your food away so you can eat it at home.
âOf course we can. Come on, I know a certain someone has missed you the most.â Tim says as you pick up your bags following Tim to his truck and getting in so Tim can take you home. The moment Tim parked the truck, you got out and made your way into the house, smiling widely when you saw Kojo who perked up upon seeing you, leaping up from where he was lying on the floor and practically leaping up at you as you crouch to his level, pushing you onto your back and smothering you in kisses.
âIâve missed you so much, Kojo.â You say, giggling as Kojo continues to lie all over you, whining happily as he continues to lick at your face.
âKojo, come on buddy, let her breathe,â Tim says with a laugh, his words making Kojo back off slightly, sitting alongside you as you sit up, petting Kojo as he pants happily. When you get up, you decide to put your bags back in your room, putting your clothes and blanket in the washing machine to wash them before heading into the living room and curling up on the sofa while Kojo and Tim join you. Kojo curled up under your arm, snuggling close to you as Tim put the tv on.
âItâs good to have you home, kid,â Tim says softly, smiling over at you as you smile back.
âItâs good to be home.â You admit, petting Kojo as you focus on the tv, the drama of the last few days seemingly a thing of the past.
Being with Tim and Kojo was where you belonged. They were your family and you wouldnât trade them for anything. You knew Tim had problems when it came to opening up about anything, but you had learnt not to push so hard this time, and maybe one day heâd find someone to open up to about it so heâd feel less alone. But for now, you were just going to enjoy the afternoon with your loved ones. Grateful to be home.

word count 5.2k
warnings talks about depression, injuries and blood dealing with hands, hospitals and medical stuff, mentions of jos verstappen, cursing, angst and fluff, not proofread so probably shitty writing and mistakes
notes this took longer than I initially imagined because i was stuck on how to get it started, but after a good nights sleep and words of encouragement from @coff33andb00ks I got this puppy started. This fic includes Adrian Newey as the point red bull person so I could avoid horner and max as an almost dog dad because I'm a dog person. It starts in the middle of the 2022 season and goes through the 2023 season. If there is enough interest, I might continue to write these two together because I really enjoyed it and there is more to explore.

You met Max on accident, according to you. When you talked to your father about it years later, you would learn it was no accident.Â
><
He was golfing with Adrian Newey and more coworkers but had forgotten his wallet, so he asked you to drop it off.
Now you knew he worked at Red Bull, so really it shouldnât have come as a surprise that you would eventually meet Max Verstappen, but you walked into the country club expecting to meet some older man, not the reigning Formula 1 world champion.Â
How'd Max know who to approach? Your father had shown him a picture of you so he would know who to look for. While you were searching the lobby, Max had come up to you, saying your name.
You had plenty of experience meeting famous people, even oneâs who knew your name before meeting (perks of dating a football star) but it was still a shock.Â
The meeting consisted of shy words and you fumbling around your bag for your fatherâs wallet and thatâs it. No matter how much experience you had with famous athletes, it would still be weird meeting them. You wouldnât see Max again for a few weeks, he was busy with races and staying in Monaco.
The next time would be at the base, once again you were dropping something off for your dad. This time it was lunch that he just insisted he needed, not whatever was being served in the cafe that day.Â
You stood in the lobby, waiting for your father to get out of a meeting, admiring the trophies on display when Max came up to you.Â
He will argue in the future that you admiring his trophies made him interested, and that he wasnât over a little bragging if it got the attention of a pretty girl. That argument ignores the scheming that your father and Adrian had done, from complaining about your lack of interest in the sport to complaining about you needing to get out more. (Your lack of interest in the sport wasnât true, just that you preferred Ferrari over the local team.)
So with the subliminal messaging from your father, Max was interested in you.
âI thought you didnât really like the sport,â he said coming to stand at your side.Â
You jumped slightly, not expecting anyone to approach you. âWhy would you think that?â
âYour father.â You turn to him with a confused face and Max decided to clarify. âHe talks about you a lot.â
âOh, well, I wouldnât listen to half of what he says.â
âReally? Even when he talks about the chassis?â His words are teasing and you think heâs flirting with you.
âMaybe that you can listen to.â You shrug, turning back to the cabinet. âHeâs really just jealous that I prefer Ferrari.âÂ
Of fucking course, the Italian team. âA fan of Leclerc?â You can hear the bitterness in his voice and it shocks you a little how quickly he changes his mood.
âHeâs okay,â you shrug again. Max thinks that your nonchalantness is annoying, why canât you just admit you find Charles hot and move on.
(Hidden in the stairwell, Adrian and your father are a little nervous. They can tell that this isnât going as well as hoped.)
âSchumacher has been my favorite, but I think of the current drivers its Vettel.â Now Max realizes that the two of you are standing in front of Sebastianâs 2010 championship trophy, and he feels a little embarrassed he didnât realize sooner. âIâm a little bitter he didnât win the championship with Ferrari.â
There are more âchanceâ meetings, but the conversation flows much easier now. Like the dinner at Adrian Neweyâs house and after, when he has to give you a ride back to your new place because your parents donât want to leave yet. Or the time when itâs suggested that you give him a ride to Luton airport because itâs on your way to London. Or even the holiday party at the end of the year where he has to give you a ride again because youâre tipsy and shouldnât drive.Â
Itâs the airport drive when you both realize that youâre being set up by Adrian and your father, which causes a lot of awkwardness between the both of you during your goodbyes.
You go back home a few days later and scold your father for the set up. You donât need another relationship right now, you tell him. He says he knows, but Max makes you happy in a way he hasnât seen in years and that makes him happy. Your mother reminds him that you need to be happy without a man first and he says heâll give up the endeavors to push you on to Max. If Adrian happens to come up with any more ideas that's not his fault, the man is a genius afterall.
The holiday party is more of an accident than anything, your father and mother leave much earlier than you, and so you are stuck with Max to drive you home.
He complained about the hotel he was staying at, so you offer him some time in your apartment to get away from fancy places and he takes you up on it. And now that you're home, it doesât seem like a bad idea to have another drink, just to take the edge off of having Max in your place.Â
âWould you like another drink?â you offer while making your own gin and tonic. He stares around at the quiet kitchen, taking in the place that feels very you. âOr perhaps some tea?â He shakes his head no, eyes catching a picture of you hugging Ben. Itâs an old picture, from when Leicester City won the league and youâve only recently dug it out of the box it was sitting in.Â
âI thought you were single,â he says, picking up the picture to examine it closer.
âI am,â you answer, turning around from the counter to look at him. Youâre about to ask him where the question came from when you see whatâs in his hands. âThatâs from 2016, when Leicester City won the league.â Max nods like he understands, but he doesnât.
âWhoâs this?â he points to Ben.
âBen Chilwell.â Maybe if youâre just vague enough, heâll drop it. He doesnât.
âOkay,â he draws it out. âWho is he to you?â
Not much of anything anymore, is what you want to say. You settle for something vague again. âA friend.â
âLooks like more than a friend.â Is Max trying to provoke you or something? He can tell youâre growing frustrated with him and it makes him feel guilty. âSorry, I just, donât know much about your life before here.â
You sigh, deciding that alcohol probably isnât the best drink for now. You move to the kettle next to the stove, opting for tea to help calm you down.Â
âBen and I dated until a couple months ago, I moved back home right after we broke up.â He nods along with your story and you continue the tea making process. âBen and I were childhood sweethearts, together since we were like 14 years old. So that makes,â it takes you a minute to do the math in your head, 12 years together.â You donât turn to see what Maxâs face looks like. A lot of people during your relationship with Ben were in awe of how long you were together, but there were some who thought it was silly and childish. Who stayed with someone they were dating since 14? (Apparently not you.)
You thought it was romantic up until a few months before the break up. Childhood sweethearts, best friends to lovers, boy next door, all tropes you loved in books and you were living it in real life! Until it wasnât. Until you moved in the middle of a pandemic to a new city with no support system and became depressed. Until Ben needed support you and you couldnât make yourself see that giving him everything was leaving you with nothing.Â
It took an intervention from your parents to see that you were depressed, and an offhand comment about marriage from Ben to see that the relationship wouldnât go anywhere new.
âWhat happened?â
âHe didnât want to marry me.â

âIâm just not sure Iâm want to marry her, yet,â Ben says to the group. Thereâs a pause before he says yet, like someone made a face and heâs trying to placate them.
What the fuck? you want to ask. You want to scream it, really, because what the fuck does he mean by that? Youâve been together for over ten years, heâs said since Leicester that he only wants you, for the rest of his life. And now... now he doesnât know? How the fuck do you not know? How can he not know? It makes you angry, the most emotion youâve felt in probably months and itâs anger at your boyfriend.
Your grip on your glass is tightening, turning your knuckles white with the force and you worry the glass will shatter in your hand.
It does, but you donât feel it. You donât hear the glass shattering in your hand or on the floor, don't feel the splash of ice, gin, and tonic on your legs.
What you feel is something akin to clarity, because youâve been living in a fog for months, probably the two years youâve been in London and now you know how Ben feels. If he doesnât want to marry you now, he probably wonât ever want it.
It takes your friend coming over and putting a hand on your shoulder for you to realize that something is physically wrong. That your hand is bleeding from glass cuts and youâre standing in a puddle of water and alcohol and some blood.
Emma says your name a little louder to grab your attention and now people are staring at you, wondering whatâs caused the glass to shatter in your hand. She ignores them, pulling you across the room so she can take care of you.
Unfortunately, the glass is too deep and you have to be taken to an emergency room, where the nurses and doctors fuss over your hand. They ask you questions about how it happened, you explain that a glass shattered in your hands. They're suspicion is eased when Emma corroborates your story. It's soon after that you're allowed to go home.
All this time, Ben hasnât come running into the room desperate to find you, and that reminds you why youâre here in the first place. Because Ben isnât sure he wants to marry you.
><
âThatâs how you got the scars on your hand?â Max is gentle when he takes your hand in his, holding it so delicately like you might break. You nod, but donât pull away from him. His touch is soft and it makes you feel something you havenât felt in a while. His hand turns so you can see the own scar on his hand. âI got this one from Jimmy, my cat.â He lets you run a finger over the scratch on the back of his hand. You run your hand over it one more time and Max getâs goosebumps from your touch.
You look up at him from your hands, your eyes roaming his face and seeing how sincere he is. It makes you nervous.Â
You pull your hands back, stepping away to grab a mug for your tea and busy your hands with something besides his own.
Max can see you close off on him, but the story isnât over yet. âWhat happened after the hospital?â
><
âAre you going to tell me why this happened?â Emma asks finally, walking with you out of the ED. Sheâs stayed the whole time, occasionally popping out to call your other friends and update them on the situation.Â
Itâs on the tip of your tongue to tell her, but you know what sheâll say: 'break up with him already, itâs not going anywhere and youâre obviously hurting over this. '
Itâs not what you want to hear, you love Ben so much because youâve always loved him, heâs all youâve ever known and it used to be so good, so you know it can go back to being good.
It has to. You need it to.Â
So you try to laugh it off, say that your grip is much stronger than you thought and that there must have been a hairline fracture in the glass.
But Emma doesnât buy it. She lets you try to joke your way out of this, lets you laugh uncomfortably as she stares at you, and then pulls you to a halt at the corner. Your uneasy smile falls and you sigh. You know better than to try and hide this from her.Â
âBen said something,â itâs a whisper, like the quieter you say it makes it hurt less. She waits for you to continue, knowing that youâll explain if she doesnât push too hard. You take a deep breath, hoping that the air will do something, anything to make it easier to say out loud. âHeâs not sure if he wants to marry me.â You hold the pause like he did, adding the yet in a pointed tone. With how much Ben has hurt you, you still want to spare him the criticism. You love him.
Emma immediately goes off, like you know she would, so you tune it out. Itâs nothing you havenât heard in the last year.Â
The traffic light turns green, and you begin your walk back to the carpark, looking around the spaces to find your friend's car.
âYN!â another voice shouts. Itâs Ben.Â
Heâs jogging to you across the lot, eyes a little wide like heâs been panicking for a while. âWhy didnât you grab me before leaving?â He means to direct the question to Emma, but heâs looking at you and you feel like heâs blaming you. âI was looking for you across the house until someone finally told me that you left for the emergency department. I was worried sick.â He looks it, you think. He does care. He wouldnât look like that if he didnât care. âYou werenât answering your phone, and-â he cuts himself off as he stares at your hand. âWhat the hell happened?â
Oh- he doesnât know.Â
âShe heard you,â Emma answers. You want to stop her, explain for yourself so you can just go home and sleep.
âWhat?â Ben asks, confusion across his face for a second before he realizes. You heard him. You heard him. âYou werenât meant to hear that.â
Thatâs his excuse?
âThatâs your excuse?â Emma takes the words from of your mouth, but not the anger from your body, you clench your bandaged hand, wincing when it pulls at the stitches. Ben is still looking at you, but youâre unable to read him. âShe wasnât meant to fucking hear that?â Her voice is shrill and it grates on you because of a headache, but you know she means well. âYou know what, fuck you Ben Chilwell! Go fucking rot in ditch!â With that she pulls you away from him, rushing the two of you towards her car so she can drive you to her home.
><
âThatâs his excuse?â Maxâs tone is just like Emmaâs on that night and still you want to defend Ben. Your relationship is long over with the footballer, but that doesnât mean you donât love him.Â
âI was a mess then,â you tell him, pouring your water into the cup, âI wouldnât want to marry me either.â
âBut he loved you, and you donât say something like that about someone you love.â Max looks angry next to you, and that scares you even more. Not because of his anger, but because he clearly cares so much and youâre not sure if you deserve it.Â
âListen to me,â Max grabs your arms, pulling you to face him in your small kitchen. âFriends, boyfriends, people who love you-â (Do his hands squeeze you harder on friends or boyfriends?) âThey donât talk about you like that behind your back. And also they notice when youâre gone, when youâre hurt, when you arenâtâ yourself.â
âBut he was also hurting,â there are tears in your eyes from his words because you believe them, but also you still love Ben.
âAnd so were you, clearly. Yet you could tell something was wrong with him and he couldnât see it in you?â Max has known you for only a few months, and has spent even less time physically with you, but he sees you and the way your brain works so clearly and thatâs really scary. He must see something in your eyes because then he backs off, taking a step away to put distance between your bodies and space to breathe.
âSorry,â he apologizes, âI didnât mean to get so intense.â You shake your head, trying to put away the thoughts of his beautiful blue eyes staring into your own. âJust sometimes, I really want people to know that they deserve better.â
âNo, itâs okay.â You pull the tea bag out of the water, looking down for the tiny plate to leave it on. âYouâre not the first person to say that to me and you probably wonât be the last.â He nods, watching you spoon sugar into the tea. âBut thank you for saying that, sometimes," you pause, "sometimes, itâs good to be reminded.â
><
Your friendship grows from there, but it doesnât evolve into anything romantic. Youâre clearly still healing from Ben and no matter how much he thinks about you while heâs in Monaco or off at a race, you need time.
So instead your flat becomes his base when heâs needed at the factory. He can leave clothes and toiletries at your place without worry, he can sneak a nice home cooked meal from you or your parents when heâs there, and he doesnât have to deal with shitty hotel mattresses. (Even though itâs a Five Star hotel.)
He meets your friends when a girls night overlaps with some sim testing. They really like him and can see that his awkward charm has pulled you in.
You meet Danny Ric at the beginning of the 2023 season, when Red Bull decides to make him their reserve driver, and the two of you are like two peas in a pod. (On the plane back to Monaco Danny asks him when heâs finally going to ask you out.)
(Max shakes his head and tells him that you two are just friends, because thatâs what you need. Just friends.)
Max invites you to the Monaco Grand Prix, but you decline, not interested in the media scrutiny that comes with that particular race. You say yes to the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona, but after he peaks at the invite list he tells you itâs probably not the best idea. You agree with him when you finally get him to tell you why you're uninvited. The Silverstone Grand Prix is during a girls trip, and with how busy it gets, you both drop the subject for a while.Â
When Max clinches his third championship in Qatar you finally decide that you need to go to a race. The next one is in Texas, but it doesnât work with your schedule so you get the passes for Mexico.
><
The Mexican Grand Prix is the perfect race to join. Itâs Checoâs home race, so the focus is on him instead of Max. You stand to the back of the garage, hiding from view on Friday and Saturday. Occasionally youâll talk with some engineers youâve met before or share a few minutes with Adrian, but most of the time is in hiding Maxâs drivers room with him.Â
Most of Sunday is spent talking with the stars in the garage, explaining why youâre here and how you know people. You avoid any interviews with Sky Sports, knowing that somehow theyâll bring up Ben and Chelseaâs current run of form, something that you just canât deal with.Â
So you stay in the back of the garage, celebrate the podium in the back of the crowd and donât wait up for Max to finish media duties, instead heading back to the hotel. It hurts to hide yourself away, you want to be the first to congratulate him on a win, or comfort him after a loss. But itâs for the best, you try convince yourself. You're just friends.
Max isnât bitter about the decision at all. Being noticed at this race is a beacon to all fans that you are something to someone, and no matter how much he maybe wants that to be true, youâre just friends. Besides you have dinner with him and a few of the drivers and their own significant others, so really what more could he ask for?
After the season is over heâs back in Milton Keynes to finish up some things before heading out to start his holidays. Most of them will be spent with his family in Belgium or in Monaco, so he is determined to at least spend a day with you before leaving. He wasnât planning on it being at a dog shelter.
><
âI think I want a dog,â you had told him while in Mexico. Youâd spent a year alone in the flat (not counting Max practically moving in when he was needed at HQ) and things were too quiet for you.Â
âOkay.â You were relaxing in his driverâs room before Free Practice 2. Youâre both on the couch, him with an iPad going over some data and you with your feet up on his lap researching shelters on your phone. The domesticity of it all was frustrating.
âAre you allergic to dogs?â you ask. You know about Jimmy and Sassy back in Monaco, and he really doesnât seem like dog person at all, but his opinion on this matters to you. His opinion on the most mundane and trivial things now matter to you. He doesnât pay rent and so he doesnât get the final say on anything, but if it makes life easier in Milton Keynes, you want to know what he thinks.
âNo, I just prefer cats.â You nod, scrolling through the shelterâs website, looking at dogs and trying to decide which one looks like it needs love the most. âLewis knows a lot about dogs, you can ask him about it.â Itâs hard to get the sentence out, because Lewis having a say in something about your life just isnât right.Â
You shake your head no. âLewis Hamilton doesnât sleep in my spare bedroom.â Itâs the same argument you make every time you suggest changing something in flat, and while it annoys him that you wonât take any money to pay for small stuff, it still makes him smile.Â
âWhat do you think about this one?â you show him a picture of a Jack Russell Terrier, coincidentally named George.Â
âIf you get him you need to change his name.â
âWhy?â You ask in fake offense. âI think he looks very much like a George.â But you move on anyway, terriers are too active for your lifestyle, you wouldnât be able to give him the love he deserves.Â
You keep on scrolling, feet still in his lap, him still looking through his iPad. You gasp suddenly, pushing yourself up and moving your legs so you can sit on them, much closer to Max. âLook!â you shove your screen in his face. âThey just rescued a corgi with puppies! I love corgis!â He can see the excitement in your face and knows that he wonât ever say no to you if you look like that again.Â
You pull your phone back, reading through the description quickly. âWe are keeping Mama and puppies together for a few weeks to ensure health, puppies will be available for adoption in December. Please register interest.â You're pulling out your laptop to send an email when you're done.
Later that night, when youâre trying to sleep you admire how he let you rant about this dog that youâre getting. You love how he always indulges you on topics about your flat; you love that heâll watch a shitty tv show with you and listen to you rant about the characters. You love that when you ask him questions about racing he answers with so much sincerity and interest that you canât help but want to know more. You love so much about him that you think you might love him.Â
No, you know you love him.
><
Thatâs how you got here, with Max at a shelter picking up a tiny corgi. Max has been carrying the collar and leash and necessary paperwork as you play with the small dog, contagious laughter falling from your lips.
âThink I should name him Charles, what do you think?â You look up from the ground, eyes so bright and happy. The smile on your face is teasing, but he misses the name because it hits him.
Heâs in love with you.
Heâs unable to answer you with his sudden realization, because the only words he can think of are âI love youâ or long strings of curse words.Â
You think he doesnât like your joke and try to back track right away. âIâm kidding, obviously. Iâm not gonna name him Charles.â Still Max only stares. âIs everything okay?â You stand up, still holding the puppy in your hands. âI promise Iâm not going to name him Charles, but Iâm sorry for the joke.â The puppy barks in your arms, snapping Max out of his trance. âWhat do you need, little one?â You ask the dog, momentarily forgetting Maxâs presence. Thatâs what he needs, just a few seconds of you not looking at him to get his thoughts in line. He canât be in love with you, because you donât need a boyfriend. Just friends.Â
Except he can be in love with you. Because you make him smile all the time, because you offered your spare bedroom to him so he didnât have to deal with a shitty hotel mattress, because you send him pictures of cats you meet on the street, and let him over explain when you have questions about races. You deal with his mood swings when Jos contacts him. (Itâs more than just dealing. You comfort and distract and do anything he needs.)
And maybe you do need just a friend still, but he can still love you.
It takes 20 minutes for you to finish up the paperwork for the shelter, which Max spends playing with the dog and he decides maybe he could be a your dog person.Â
The ride back to your place is short, your minds replaying the same moment when you asked him what you should name the little puppy sleeping in the back. You feel bad, like you've insulted him; heâs trying to come up with a way to tell you what heâs realized.
Nothing happens that night, and nothing happens when he leaves for Monaco the next morning.Â
Texts between the two of you comprise of pictures of Denny the corgi, Jimmy and Sassy the cats, and updates on how people liked their presents. It feels off, but you have no idea how to make it feel right.
On December 30th, you plan to catch your flight to Nice, but your father gets into an accident and you canât leave your mom to deal with everything on your own. You say sorry to Max repeatedly, tell him to wish everyone there a Happy New Year and focus back on the quiet life with Denny.Â
On December 31st, you wake up to the smell of coffee and toast. Itâs alarming because no one else is here, so why does it smell like breakfast?
You push open the door cautiously, forgetting for a moment that Denny is there, so he sneaks out the tiny crack. âDenny! No!â you whisper-shout, hurrying after the little guy, all regard for your own safety lost. You find him in the arms of Max, licking his face and wiggling his butt with untamed excitement. âMax?â
âHi, schatje.â His smile is almost enough to distract you from the fact that he is here. You approach the two slowly, grabbing Denny from his arms to put him down.Â
âWhat are you doing here?â Denny paws at you, reminding you that he needs to go out and do his business.Â
Max ignores your question, instead pushing a mug of coffee into your hands. âTake this, Iâll take Denny outside.â He grabs Denny from the floor again, making his way to the front where you have his leash hanging up. âBe right back, schatje.â You can only nod at him, watching the two walk out of the front door.
Theyâre back in two minutes, enough time for you to put out Dennyâs breakfast and drink some of your coffee in peace, trying to wrap your mind around the fact that Max is here. The door opens and Denny comes rushing in, Max close behind. He hangs up the leash with his keys, then turns back to you with a smile.
Max takes his own mug, leaning his back against the counter to watch you. âWhy are you here?â you ask again.Â
âYou said you couldnât come to Monaco for New Yearâs, so I thought Iâd come here.â He says it so casually it irritates you. âPlus, I can take some work off of you or your mom when dealing with your Dad.â
Oh, heâs being sweet. âYou donât have to do that.â
âYeah, but I want to help someone I love.â He says that so casually it catches you off guard. Thank god you didnât have anything in your mouth or you would have definitely spit it out.
He smirks over his cup, watching you splutter for an answer to his simple confession. âYou⌠you love me?â He nods then puts his mug down. A few steps over to you and he grabs the one in your hands, putting that down next to his own. With his other hand he moves to cup the back of your neck, pulling you closer to him. You want to ask what heâs doing, try to stop this before it can even start, but Max is determined. (Youâre grateful for that.)
Thereâs almost no space left between the two of you, just enough really for him to be able to look at your face while he asks if this is okay. A gulp, a breath, and a nod later heâs dipping his head down to yours, closing the distance, and kissing you.Â
Your eyes close instantly. Your hands travel to their own accord, reaching up to lock around his neck and keep him close. Your ears ring for some odd reason and your nose can only smell coffee. You can taste red bull on his lips and you wonder how long he's been up.
The kiss is soft and slow and over before you really have a chance to appreciate it.
You open your eyes to see him, his lips spread in a wide smile that has you blushing. âBeen waiting to do that for a while.â That has you blush even deeper, but he doesnât let you dip your head to hide it. âSeriously, schatje. I love you.â
âI love you too.â Itâs a whisper, but he doesnât miss it with how close you are. But even if he had missed it, youâll say it so many more times in the future that people get sick of it.

hello! that other anonâs idea gave me another idea! ashley and andrew x a younger sister/sibling reader instead whoâs basically the opposite of the older sister reader! a quiet little sister whoâs been desperate for any sort of attention from her siblings, even if it involves being a little silly and committing some crimes
i can already imagine ashley pretending to be a good big sister but mostly just using it as an excuse to manipulate her younger sister, while andrew struggles to be a good big brother and balance ashleyâs neediness with their younger sister who is, well, less needy but definitely could use the attention
little sister reader is stuck between her unhinged older siblings, but canât speak up because sheâs afraid of being alone and has to go along with ashley and andrewâs antics! sorry if this was long, i just got hit with a bunch of ideas-
Donât apologize, the longer ideas give me more to work off of!
Andrew and Ashley Graves x Younger Sister!Reader
The Graves Parents were neglectful, but with you it was a whole other level
At least with Andrew and Ashley they acknowledged their existence, you howeverâŚ
You were justâŚthere to them
You never acted out like Ashley did, nor were you independent like Andrew
You were justâŚthere
Someone who was so easily overlooked
And to be honest, you didnât really care about if they remembered that you existed
Because there were two people who never forgot you
Your older siblings
The bestest older siblings on the face of this earth!
When mom left you at grocery stores, it wasnât her or dad who came back to get you- it was Andrew.
When you had to stay after school and catch up on schoolwork to up your grades, Ashley made sure she was staying there with you (normally through getting in trouble, but it was still sweet)
Point is, your siblings made you feel more loved than your parents have in your entire life
And you love them so much for it
Your legs kicked over the edge of the metal bench youâd been sitting on, the sound of rain pelting the awning above you having been droned out a while ago. The LED signs of the corner store illuminated the darkening skies. You should be heading home, but walking by yourself at night was dangerous.
This entire situation your mother carelessly left you in was dangerous to be honest.
Waiting inside the store with a bunch of grown ups you didnât know, most of which already looked like caricatures from a Stranger Danger PSA, was dangerous.
Standing outside by yourself for any fast handed killer or creep or both to snatch was dangerous.
Walking home where you could be jumped or get lost was dangerous.
And even with being aware of these dangers, you were surprisingly calm.
Mainly because this isnât the first time this has happened. And normally, your saviors always came to save you.
âHey Y/N.â
Speak of them now.
You perked up, looking at the two slightly older kids standing just out of the awning. The boy carried an umbrella, his black hair swooping over his emerald eyes and his sweater barely clung to his shoulders. Hanging off of his arm was a girl, slightly younger, with similar black hair that was a mess of hair clips. She beamed looking at you, giving you a toothy grin as she waved.
âFound youuuuuu!â
She said it like it was a game of hide and seek. And perhaps her nonchalantness to these things rubbed off on you. You were becoming more like her every day.
Your older siblings. LeyLey and Andy Graves.
Andy sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, âJust- get under here. Letâs go home before one of us gets sick.â
You nodded, rushing to huddle next to him under the dingy umbrella. The three of you began the trek back home. Three unsupervised children was no safer than one, but you knew theyâd protect you.
LeyLey grinned at you from Andyâs other side, âHey Y/N, did you snag us anything from the store?â
âLeyLey!â If Andyâs hands werenât full, he wouldâve smacked her.
âWhaaattttt, I just wanna know!â She clarified, âSo- did ya? You know if you did you have to share! Itâs the rules!â
âSince when?..â you tilted your head.
âSince now!â
âLeyLey she didnât steal anythingâŚâ Andy gave you weary glance, ââŚRight?â
Looking right up at Andy, you reached into your pocket and pulled out a candy bar you stole when you started to get hungry. You didnât eat it yet, in fear of mom showing up for once and getting mad at you for shoplifting. Andy groaned. LeyLey beamed.
âSweet! Letâs split it!â She tugged on Andyâs arm, daring him to say no, âCome on Aaaannndddyyyy, you know you wanna!â
Andy simply gave his younger sister a tired expression before sighing, âFineâŚbut I get a piece too!â
You split the chocolate bar between you and your siblings, LeyLey demanding to swap with Andy since his piece looked bigger. They bickered, tussling with their halves while you ate yours- smiling happily.
You wished you could go back to when shoplifting was the worst of the crimes you committed with your siblingsâŚ
You all had been quarantined in your apartment, something about parasites in the water
And the wardens eventually stopped bringing you all food
Mom and dad left near the start
So it was just you, Ashley, and Andrew
Rotting away in your coffin of an apartment
Until some demon shenanigans happened and the neighbor croaked
âThatâs a lot of meatâŚâ Andrew muttered. You could practically see his mouth watering staring at the body. Ashley stood next to him, sizing your dead neighbor up. You had knelt down to check if he was still alive.
âYou think we should?âŚâ Ashley made a chopping motion with her hand, her pink eyes already telling you and Andrew that sheâs made up her mind on eating the neighbor.
âCan we even?- I mean-â Andrew was trying to rationalize the decision in his head, âWonât we get in trouble?â
âWhat do you think Y/N?â Ashley looked down at you, your attention turning from the Cultist to your older sister.
You opened your mouth to speak, but your words were interrupted by your growling stomach. You clutched your abdomen, face twisting in discomfort. Ashley made an âaweâ sound as she knelt down, cupping your cheek.
âYou poor thing,â she cooed, âAndy just look at her! Our poor baby sister is starving and weâre not doing so hot either,â she stood up, âSo, letâs do it! Whatâs the worse that could happen?â
âWe could go to jail!â Andrew threw his hands up, eyes widening in frustration towards Ashleyâs lack of realizing that fact.
Andrewâs face fell, though, as his eyes landed on you. He felt a pang course through his chest as how starved you looked. He was your older brotherâŚhe was supposed to protect you andâŚhere you were rotting away in front of him. He turned his attention to the cultistâs body, debating with himself what to do before he sighed.
ââŚokay. Weâll do it..â
âYes!â Ashley hugged Andrewâs arm, âI knew youâd do the right thing!â
Your older siblings planned this out, Andrew instructing Ashley to find him a cleaver and grab some plastic bags. All the while you stood back and watched silently.
You never got to tell them that the cultist still has a pulseâŚ

Your days were busier than ever since you started college. Studying to be a teacher, which many often pouted their lips and expressed their sympathies when you told them, was not actually as easy as people thought. You had to complete a few hundred hours of your externship on top of classes and your part-time job to pay for said classes.
The work would be fulfilling, eventually. When you finally finished shadowing Mr. Sato, the biggest pain in your ass, you could be free to begin your first official year of teaching and quit your miserable job as a bartender. Contrasting fields, yes, but the tips paid the bills well.
Each night, your shift ended at around two in the morning and you went straight from the bar and to your apartment, passing out and waking up bright and early at seven for your weekday classes. Luckily, most shifts at the bar were on Thursdays and weekends, while all classes and externship hours were during weekdays. After class, it was typically back to the bar to open.
You couldn't complain too much. Besides having a non-existent social life beyond a classroom of fourth-graders and classrooms of college students, you flew under the radar pretty well. No one had it out for you, nor you for them, but any off days you rarely had were not spent in the company of friends or even friendly coworkers, just by yourself in your little apartment waiting for time to pass. A boring and uneventful life. Sometimes you wondered what it was all for, and you had yet to find your answer. You told yourself that after graduation it would all turn out perfect, and you'd live normally while balancing your social life better, maybe even get married after a few years of healthy stability. But that itch was still on the back of your mind, asking, âfor what?â
Today was booked with all three. After your unpaid shift with Mr. Hana's class and your âSchool and Classroom Cultureâ class, you headed to work.
The club was crowded at the end of the week. Friday had brought in a chill every time the door opened, leaving the sweaty atmosphere to be momentarily paused as groups flitted in and stumbled out. You were working on your umpteenth round of the cheapest vodka shots the establishment offered, enjoying the chill despite the brash complaints around you about it. Sliding the shots onto a tray, you nodded for Hana to serve her table.
âThanks, babe!â She chirped with a wink and shouldered the tray off to the table of cheering ladies.
Onto the next.
A man with jet black hair hovering just over his shoulders and a middle part framing his face sat right at the bar. He seemed jittery and slightly nervous, as if you might say ânoâ to any request he may have. He was in work uniform, an office you guessed, looking beyond him to see a group of guys dressed the same and gawking at the girls dancing.
âExcuse me?â He began, glancing over his shoulder.
âWhat can I get you?â You perked up, putting on your best customer service place. Nervous guys were a million times better than the cocky ones who thought they were entitled to seeing more skin or even a dance from you, despite the readily available shows up front. The thrill of what they could not have, you supposed. Guys like this were a blessing, despite their eyes giving away their desires.
He licked his lips shortly, glancing down at your own chest on view through your black tank top before shooting his eyes quickly back up. âThreeâno, nine, probablyâ sake shots.â He stumbled.
You raised a brow, counting him as the sixth. âIs that it?â You asked, moving to pull the bottle from its shelf and a multitude of glasses.
âI'm driving everyone home.â He explained with a slight flush. The men in the back chortled at one another's jokes while he seemed in no rush at all to join them again. After you poured the triple round tray, she handed it off to the guy.
You hadn't even made another full drink for the lady next to him before he was back, tray under his arm and the guys at a table downing their shots behind him. âHere,â he mumbled, politely placing the tray on the sticky counter.
You nodded appreciatively, topping the mojito off with some mint leaves on the rim. The lady smiled and thanked you before rejoining her group of friends, leaving the man standing in front of the bar awkwardly alone.
Seeing as he was the only one, you allowed yourself a brief break to wipe the counter. âNot going to join your coworkers?â You asked curiously.
He squeezed his hands together, shaking his head with pursed lips. âCo-workers.â He corrected.
You nodded understandingly, knowing he must have been coerced into being a DD for some coworkers who didn't want to spend their time sober. âHow about a soda?â You offered with a small smile.
Hours passed quickly, customer's faces all bleeding together. The man eventually left with his intoxicated group after lingering around the bar and watching his co-workers and the girls both from a safe distance. You didn't think much about him after, focusing on cleaning your station and heading the hell home.
Hana brushed against you behind the bar, helping herself to a generous double shot of a lemon drop cocktail-her absolute favorite despite your sour face whenever she offers one to you-and leans against the counter to sip on it while you finish up.
"Doing anything tomorrow? I was thinking of getting dinner with some girlfriends and barhopping afterward." She suggested with a lift of her glass.
"I can't." You sighed. "Got a project to finish, then work again tomorrow night."
Hana leaned her head back as if she were wounded. "You alwaysss 'can't'. Come on, babes, live a little. You're only twenty-two, and you live like an old hermit."
You couldn't disagree. "Next time, Hana. I promise."
She sends you a sympathetic smile. "If you ever need anything, you got my number."
"I know. Thanks," you offer weakly.
Despite the chill on the walk to the train, you still felt the residue of the club on your skin and clothes. You smelled like beer and liquor over old perfume, something you'd unfortunately grown used to. Although your own insensitivity didn't stop others from giving you disgusted glances passerbys gave you as if you were stumbling around the streets of Tokyo begging for cash.
Relaxing into a seat, you felt the grogginess of the day wash over you. As much as you fought against it, you fell asleep in your empty train car.
Jerking awake at the dinging of the last stop call, you promptly collected your belongings. You jumped up and off the train, climbing the stairs and out onto the dark streets. Completely empty and nearly pitch black, you were stopped in your tracks. No people being outside at 3 a.m wasn't a crazy thing in this part of town, but the streetlights being down? You clutched your bag tight, wondering if you'd stepped into a horror movie shooting.
As you continued down the path towards your apartment, you brought up your phone to glimpse at the local news and electrical issues.
When the phone wouldn't even turn on, you began to panic. Shoving your things into your bag, you started to briskly walk home. The way was only lit up by the full moon, making reflective street signs possible to navigate around with.
When the first firework âpopped!â in the skies and whined all the way down, you jumped. âFireworks?â You muttered aloud, stepping off the sidewalk to get a better view in the street. Abandoned cars littered it, but you forced yourself to ignore them in favor of this all being a high-budget movie scene. That hope could only last so long.
If the streets were really being rented out, then why wasn't the skyline of Tokyo at least still lit? It was virtually impossible to clear an entire city for a piece of media, no matter the budget.
Finally, you spotted a faint light coming from a distant building. You sprinted towards it, seeing it as your only chance for answers or other people. Let it be a prank, you silently pleaded.
When you reached the place, you read the lit sign, humming at the frank realization that this place was something like an office building. It was tall and skinny, with a logo you didn't recognize on it. Another building sat parallel to it with a bridge connecting it but it stayed unlit. Gingerly, you stepped into it and flinched as a robotic voice called out.
âOne player registered. Waiting for others. Please take one phone per person.â
It was then she realized there was a silver table with a bunch of lines neatly lined up. When she grabbed one, it spoke again. âReading facial I.D.â When you saw your name written across the white screen in bold black letters, your heart dropped to your stomach.
There was no time to dwell when another person wandered into the building. You turned to them, hoping that this person might be the one who revealed any answers, but were only met with a mirrored face. A woman, slightly taller than you with pajamas on but an alert expression. âWhat's going on?â She asked, voice small.
You looked behind her, seeing a foreign man enter with a disciplined calmness. âI don't know. You're the first people I've seen.â You told her, earning a frown. You both seemed to have the same idea by looking at the older man. He shrugged, glancing around.
âI was wonderinâ why all those fireworks was goinâ off.â He said tiredly.
More people entered, and a familiar face finally showed up. The man from the bar, who immediately also perked up upon seeing your face. You found each other quickly, standing side by side after everyone picked up a phone. Even if you didn't know each other, the slight comfort was like grasping at straws.
He whispered to you, suspiciously looking at all of the other strangers. âDo you know what the hell is going on?â
With a hopeless shake of your head, the man sighed and melted into the wall. Cutting off the scared murmurs, the robotic female voice spoke again. âRegistration closed. There are fifteen players.â
A white screen lit up at the top of the elevator.
Displayed on it as well as being read out loud: âGame: Fishbowl. Difficulty: Three of Diamonds.â
âDiamond?â You asked, getting no answer from anyone else.
âObjective: Find the exit to the mazes on each floor. There are 10 levels total. Clear conditions: Make it to the roof before the timer runs out.â
âThat sounds easy enough.â A teenager's voice broke through the silence.
âYet it doesn't explain why we're doing a game in the first place. I'm going home, fuck this.â Another guy grumbled, obviously too irritated to continue playing the random game. When he turned his back and went through the entranceway doors, the small red-lined lasers shot through him like knives.
The room erupted in panic and screams. No one was silent or still, and you stood next to the wall with warm splatters of blood on your face and clothes. With a trembling hand, you reached up to wipe a bit off, revealing the same red that touched everything else in the lobby.
âGame start. Time: Three hours.â
âIs that all we have?â You whispered, the taller man beside you eyeing the scene and the dead man silently. He seemed to straighten from his slouched and nervous posture, eyebrows knitting together like he just solved something. Without a word, he brushed past you and to the stairwell.
It let him open the door, and he disappeared up the stairs whilst everyone still flurried about.
You were quick to follow, not wanting to meet the same grizzly fate as the dead man. There would be time to figure out whats and hows and whos laterâwhen you were safe at home.
Up the first floor of stairs, the second level's door opening and displaying a big â1â on it.
The man opens it, and you are surprised to see office-like cubicle walls climbing to the top in wide rows. It was like the real office was gone and changed out with an entirely new structure. Along the white walls were some paintings still hung up and some plants somehow decorating the ugly carpet in a few corners.
He took the lead, stepping with a newfound confidence. âWait!â You urged. âWhat if there's more lasers?â
He looked over his shoulder, shrugging. âMaybe, but we'll just have to find out.â
Slightly irked, you followed still. After about ten minutes, you were both utterly lost. Others had joined and started to play as little ducklings following their mother, but you supposed it would be hypocritical to judge when you had done the very same.
âWe've been around the floor a hundred times!â He exaggerated, brushing his hands through his hair.
âHave some patience.â You bit. âYou're freaking me out.â
Going back to the stairwell, you retraced your steps and started again.
Using the method of right-hand-to-wall as you typically followed in video games, you began to lead in front.
More minutes passed and more dead ends appeared. The windows where the main walls of the building showed the empty night sky and the next door building reflecting the moon light still. You checked your phone, seeing a flashing â2:32: left on your timer. Thirty minutes had passed and floor one wasn't even completed.
âShit.â You started to run back to the start, practically having it memorized by now. You ran into the stairwell again, wincing when you half-expected the doorway to laser you down but continuing in your rush when it hadn't. The doorway to the third floor was locked, as expected, but different from the second floor, it had a small pin pad on its knob.
How obvious. All fourteen of you had spent over thirty minutes looking for a door when it was behind you all along. âWe need digits!â You yelled into the doorway.
A few stragglers waited at the doorway, not having any use while most continued their search. âLook for any numbers!â The man shouted louder in your echo, leaving the room to burst into murmurs and leave plants and paintings tossed around.
The teenager came running to the door, panting but with a satisfied smile on her face. âLook! It has a â4â on the back!â
The players all cheered, and you held the painting backwards to inspect. âHow do we know what order to place them in?â You muttered to yourself. In a matter of minutes all of the paintings that carried numbers were laid in front of the doorway.
â4â â2â â3â â1â
âThere's way too many options.â An old man with a hunched back spoke up darkly. âThere's no time to do this for every floor.â
âFlip them.â Your club companion said.
On the fronts were simple but quite beautiful paintings of scenery. A pond, a park, a forest, and a beach.
An idea shot into your mind as you inspected the order of them. Kneeling in front of them, you arranged the paintings in the order of their backgrounds. Sunset, to noon, to afternoon, and finally to dusk. âRead them out to me in this order.â You told the man, who nodded as his eyes lit up in realization.
At the keypad, you fingered the digits he yelled out to you. âThree, two, four, one!â
It clicked open. You cheered and beckoned for the rest. After the first puzzle was solved, eight more went by smoothly. It was the same concept, only getting slightly harder as it went up. Stages of a frog, generations of a family, technological ages of humanity, and so forth until the 10th door was unlocked. Only one more door and you would be out.
When the door opened, you were stunned to see that all the walls were glass. The entire room was see-through, including the outer walls and the view from the height was nearly nauseating from all the clarity. âEveryoneâŚâ Someone called out in fear. They stood on one of the last steps behind the group. âWater is rising.â They lifted their feet up, revealing sopping wet shoes and ends of her pant legs. She scrambled to the upper steps, and everyone followed suit to get away from the water. This time, there was a clear red door on the other side of the room.
You swallowed harshly at the rapidly rising water, realizing that even closing the door behind you didn't make it any slower as it seemed to ooze out of the very walls themselves. Cubicles showed themselves, lighting up on the floor in a blinding white. âOne player per room. All living players must solve their puzzles before the time runs out.â
The buzzer went off and doors opened to allow all fourteen of them into the rooms. The man and her were parallel, eyes meeting with you showing signs of nerve and him seemingly gaining confidence on his own.
A screen rose in front of you, sticking out of the water and coming to life with a riddle on its screen. âWhat does everyone's screen say?â You asked, hoping to collectively solve it.
âSomething about two birds.â The teen replied with a desperate look to you.
âMine is a math equation.â Another said.
The old man piped up, beginning to read off his own question though he was easily drowned out in all of the noise.
You looked to your own, which seemed daunting on its own. What happens when you get it wrong?
Your answer came in a nightmare. The old man had selected a random option in hopes of guessing correctly, and everyone could only watch on as his cube was immediately flooded to the brim with water. His lights turned bright red and you turned your gaze away and covered your ears to prevent the sight and sounds from implanting themselves in your head forever.
When it all got quiet, you checked your phone again.
â0:08â
Eight more minutes. Your cube's water was already to your waistline and climbing still. You focused on your own question although the urge to answer other's pleas for assistance and confusion nagged at you insistently. The sound of more water and more screams and choked gargling was all that was left in the room as your water rose above your head, too.
âWhat is the last number in the sequence?
895371â
You scanned over the sequence repeatedly, seeing flashes of white lights turning red around your peripherals and one turning green.
Entering a sloppy, â1â in the keypad, you kicked up to the top of the cube to gasp in what little air was left at the top. Looking around you saw no one except for the club man. Your own cube's lights flashed green, and the click of the doors could vaguely be heard above the sound of rushing water. You both dived under, pushing at your doors.
His budged open immediately and he swam up and towards the exit door that lead up. You kept pushing at your own, heart racing and running out of air, but nothing made it open. Going topside again, you shouted out. âMy door is jammed!â
He stopped in place, the few inches left of water between him and the ceiling showing his wet lashes looking down his nose at you. Clenching his jaw, he looked rapidly between the door and you. Finally, he clicked his tongue and pushed off the glass to your area.
In sync, you held your breaths for the last time and swam down to the door. You nodded, signaling for him to pull and you to push. After a few tries, the water-jammed door pried open and you swam together towards the red door.
You tried your hardest to ignore the lifeless floating bodies that were at the top of each cube.
It opened outwards, the two of you being flung against the wall by the water that rushed down the stairwell. A shout of pain left his lips below you and you scrambled up, panting out and apologizing for cornering him and possibly bruising his ribs.
The water didn't stop there, following you both as you ran up more stairs and onto the roof. Hands on your knees, you coughed up the remaining water from your throat and lungs and sat down, elbows shakily supporting your body. What had happened in the last three hours? You had just witnessed thirteen people die in one night when you hadn't seen a single death in your life prior.
Who put you here, and for what purpose were you playing these games?
Your phone chimed. âGame cleared. Visa days added: 3 days remaining.â
You and the man stood alone on the roof, not a single other survivor from the game alive. You weren't sure if there was any person in this world left alive, either, besides from you and him.
âYou owe me.â He said with an ominous one. âDon't forget that.â
âI won't.â You promised. Then after a long pause, you added your name in a smaller tone.
âNiragi.â Was all he offered, and you briefly wondered how just over three hours ago, this man was meek and clearly a pushover in every aspect of his life. Now, everything about him seemed straighter and more intimidating.
Sticking by him, you were unsure if it meant being thrown to the wolves at the first sight of danger or defended in a play of arrogance. Though your common sense urged you to leave at the first sign of his distraction, you stayed firmly planted by his side.
Perhaps there was some benefit to this strange and peculiar world, no more work and no more rent. Safety was in numbers, after all, and having a guy like Niragi might save your ass again.
This is not a Niragi fic, although it may seem like it at first; more like a toxic and controlling relationship (think Coriolanus Snow and Lucy Grey). Changing his character slightly, Niragi has not attempted to SA anyone and will not in the future- his character had so much potential beyond that. His appearance change (piercings) doesn't start in his personal life like in canon and his job as a game designer was an office job instead of a WFH job

Cream Puff!! | Getou Suguru
(Readers gender isnât specified but reader has a dick)
(Getou has a dick itâs just ignored)(I need him doing the splits on my shit idk)
Synopsis â: Your favorite police officer comes to your bakery before closing
Warnings: dirty talk, feminization, biting, little bit of a gun kink, marking, begging
It was mid day and you were so so busy. You had a birthday party that you had to make 100 cupcakes for. The color theme was green and purple. You had all 100 made already but you hadnât put the frosting on any. So you were currently in the kitchen frosting cupcakes, while also trying to keep up with people who come in. You work at your bakery alone, it was kind of small in the first place, so you didnât see a need in hiring anybody.
You were almost done with the cupcakes you just needed to frost the other 20. You heard the bell at the front, dusting off your hands and trying to look presentable you walk up to the front. You see nanami a customer you usually see. âHi what can I get for you todayâ he smiles a little âcan I get 2 cream puffsâ you smirk a bit âstop being so dirty mindedâ he said you grabbed the tongs and went to get his cream puffs âwho said I was thinking dirtyâ you looked at him while putting his treats in a paper blue baggie. You grabbed napkins and handed it to him âThank you for coming sir I hope you come again soon~â you said that last part a little flirty. He flushed a bit, grabbed his cream puffs and left.
The sky was a mixture between orange and yellow indicating the day is almost over. You finished the cupcakes 2 minutes ago, leaving them in the fridge so whoever comes to pick them up tomorrow will have them fresh. You were doing a bit of cleaning because it was almost time for you to close up. Perking up at the sound of the bell ringing at the front of your bakery, You walked up ready to tell them that you just threw out all the sweets you had in the front for the night so that you could make fresh ones in the morning.
You walked up to the front only to be surprised when you see Getou. You and Getou have a bit of history, you two always flirts but it doesnât go anywhere past that. Getou Is scared because as a police officer a lot of people hate him, and he feels that if you two get together then people will start coming for you. You try to tell him that you can handle yourself, because you can. Youâre a little bigger than Getou muscle wise, but height wise youâre basically towering over him. He doesnât know how much longer he can hold out though, he wants to get fucked by you so bad. You are just so tempting.
You walked up to the counter smirking âwell hello officerâ Getou smiled and leaned against the counter âhi my favorite baker~â he flirted back. âWhat do you needâ you asked looking him up and down. He looked good. His long hair that you just wanted to pull on flowing down his back. Hes in his police uniform that accentuated his hips and his ass you just wanna tear that uniform off him and have him bouncing on your- âummmâ the sound of getous voice made you look up. He was looking at the menu trying to figure out what he wants.
âCan I get some browniesâ you nodded and Told him âit might be a while because I have to make a fresh batch.â âAwe a new batch just for meâ you rolled your eyes âno I just threw out the ones thatâve been out all dayâ you were about to walk to the back to begin until you heard Getou say something âwhat was that?âyou asked âcan I come back there and help you?â The way he looked at you was kind of Mischevious, like he was planning on doing something sneaky. âOkay come onâ he walked through the little door to the kitchen and you both started to prepare for the brownies.
All of the ingredients were in the bowl now it was time to stir. âCan I do itâ Getou said. All heâs been doing is talking your ear off so itâs best if you put him to work. You handed him the bowl and he stepped right infront of you. He started mixing but he did it too gently. âLike this?â He asked questioningly. You went up close behind him and grabbed his hand that was holding the whisk, guiding his hand to whisk the brownie batter harder. âYea just like thatâ âoh my goddâ Getou couldnât even focus on mixing the batter anymore. The way you huskily spoke so close to his ear he just wanted to get fucked now.
You let go of Getou going to get the pan for the brownies. âOh my goodness I almost forgotâ you said âwhat?â He replied. You grabbed chocolate chips from the drawer and dropped some into the bowl. âTo make it more chocolatelyâ looking at Getou not realizing how close you two were. You looked at his lips, pink, fat lips that were just waiting to be sucked on. Wanting to calm some of the rising tension in the kitchen, You cleared your throat taking the bowl from Getou. You poured the brownie mixture onto the pan and put it in the already preheated oven. Getou sighed and sat down on the counter. You raised your eyebrow at him âGet your ass off my counterâ and slapped his thigh. He jumped a bit enjoying the slap a bit too much.
He bit his lip and ignored what you said. It was silent for a few until he spoke up. âDo you sell cream pies?â You blinked and looked at him. âNoâ âwell you shouldâ he responded. You went over to him and placed your arms on each side of him. âWhy should I?â You said leaning closer to him. Getou couldnât take the tension anymore, he brought his hands to the back of your neck bringing you even closer to him. He wrapped his legs around your waist bringing your front closer to his ass. He felt you. It was through your pants but he could tell you were big. âBecause I really really want oneâ
You smashed your lips onto getous, making him arch his back into the kiss. He fully wrapped his arms around your neck and you bit onto his lip making him moan. You kissed down to his neck and started leaving marks. âSto~ donât leave any marks~â âno those bitches in your office are gonna know how much of a slut you areâ Getou tightened his legs around your waist.
âPlease~ I want it so badâ âgoddddâ his desperateness was turning you on so much you just wanted to be buried deep inside him already. âWhat do you want Getouâ you whispered in his ear. âI want you, I want you in me. I want you to fuck me so hard. Own meâ you immediately went to pull his pants off he assisted you in doing so. When he got his pants off you saw what he had on and your eyes widened. He had on dark purple lace panties. You pulled on the hem and it snapped against his hip. âMmm~â you look up at him and heâs blushing so hard and trying to cover himself.
You move his hands away and speak up. â you planned this out didnât you? You came in here wanting to get fucked like a whore? You want to be my personal glory hole?â Getou almost came at your words. Being your personal glory hole sounds amazing. Just being used like nothing but a hole. He was drooling at the thought. You slapped his thigh âAnswer meâ he looked at you with hazed eyes with a little drool coming out his mouth. âYes..just wanna be your glory holeâ
You ripped off getous panties and he gasped. âThose were my favorite pairâ your eyes widened. âPair? You have more?â Getou rolled his eyes and nodded. âYou gotta show me laterâ and before he could respond you pushed yourself into him. âFUCKKKKâ Getou yelled out arching his back. He couldnât believe how much you were already stretching him out and you only had the tip in. You kissed up his neck and wrapped your arms around his waist.
You pushed further into him and Getou kept moaning and leaning his head back. âFuck youâre so fucking tight baby~ you ready for me to fuck this boy pussy of yours.â âYes hurry upâ you looked at him with your eyebrow raised. âPlease sirâ your dick twitched. You did a test thrust up into him making him let out a small whimper. You started moving a bit faster causing Getou to let out small breathy moans.
You grabbed his thighs and started fucking into him harder. âSHITTT FASTER FASTER PLEASEâ you obided by his request and fucked him at a rapid pace. You leaned down to his neck and bit directly into his sweet spot. âah~ I canât I-I canât hold it in.â âYou better fucking hold it inâ you whispered harshly in his ear. Getou whined and you spread his legs wide open, putting his leg up on your shoulder making him lean halfway off the counter. You fucked into him watching as his head dangled off the counter hearing him cover his mouth trying to silent his moans. You werenât about to have that. You slapped his hands away from his mouth âI wanna hear your whorish moans donât try to hide them from me.â
Getou wanted you to cum in him so bad. He just wanted to make you cum with just his hole. He clenched down onto your dick which was exactly what you needed as you filled him with your seed. âFuck youâ you didnât want to cum first. Getou chuckled and you groaned and rolled your eyes. You look to the left of Getou and realize his belt was there that had his accessories, including his gun. With Getou not paying attention you thrust into him hard to catch him off guard. He yelped and held onto your shoulders, when all of a sudden he felt the tip of something touch the side of his temple. He looked a bit and saw it was his gun. In your hand.
âWhat if I just blew your fucking brains out right nowâ Getou didnât know if he could hold it in anymore. He knew youâd never shoot him..but did he really? You could shoot him at any time and heâd die with your dick inside of him. âYou ready baby? You wanna cream on my cock?â âFUCK YESSSâ he said and leaned up dripping onto your shirt. âGo ahead babyâ he came so fucking hard. âCanât believe he came with a gun held up to his head.â You put the gun back next to his belt. Getou was hugging you and you gently caressed his hair. âYou did a good job baby are you okay?â Getou smiled and chuckled. âIâm amazingâ but then he pouted. âCan I get a kiss?â You kissed his lips and he moaned a bit.
Just as you guys were going to get into it the oven rang with the brownies inside. âPerfect timingâ

In Front of Me

Summary: Louis being away for festivals means more time spent apart than either of you are happy with. Louis surprises you with a visit, helping you both reconnect.
AN: Title from "Habit" by Louis Tomlinson
CW: smut, p-in-v sex, oral (f receiving)
Word Count: 1.6K
Requested by: @lillisummers
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dating a global superstar comes with a fair amount of perks. But one major downside is the amount of time that needs to be spent apart.Â
You and Louis had a plan for his tour. Your schedule was flexible, and that allowed you to visit him for a number of stops. Never did you go more than two weeks apart. It wasnât perfect, you still missed each other on occasion, but it worked. And the two of you were happy.Â
And then Louis lined up a summer full of festivals. When he approached you about doing these types of shows you were elated for him. He loves performing, and truthfully it makes you happy to see him up there thriving. Every time you see a show in person or watch a video from his performances, youâre filled with pride. Seeing the crowd there for him, singing his songs, cheering him on, it warms your heart.Â
But that doesnât mean you donât miss him.Â
What started as just a couple shows has turned into him being away for almost the entire summer.Â
This is the busiest season for your work so itâs not as easy for you to adjust your schedule to get time off. For the first time in recent history, you havenât seen Louis in more than three weeks. Â
And you miss him. Miss him so much that your heart hurts. And itâs not just a physical separation. Itâs emotional as well. Due to time zones and rehearsals, you find that thereâs barely any time to speak on the phone either.Â
The two of you scheduled a time to speak today. And then something came up and that call was canceled. It left you feeling despondent, so alone in the home youâre meant to be sharing with your boyfriend. Your home that he hasnât slept at in weeks.Â
Later, while Louis is on stage, you lay in bed and send him a simple text: âI miss you.â
You donât expect to hear back for a while, so you roll over and go to sleep.Â
The next morning you jolt awake to the sound of the front door opening. Youâre on high alert, not knowing why someone would be entering your home. Your mind runs through the list of people with keys, but really, who would come without a heads up?
And then you hear a familiar voice, and begin to wonder if youâre still dreaming. Because thereâs no way that voice should be in this house. The person it belongs to isnât meant to be home for at least ten more days.Â
âThere you are, love,â Louis says when he enters your bedroom.Â
âLouis!â You exclaim. âWhat are you doing here?â
âI got your text,â he says.Â
âYou didnât answer me.â
âI wanted to answer in person. I miss you too baby. So much. I actually got this ticket to fly back a couple days ago. I couldnât go any longer without seeing you.â
You smile at his words, moved by the fact that he was missing you just as much.Â
And then you realize something else.Â
âWhat happened to your face?â You ask bluntly. Obviously you donât have a filter this quickly after waking up.Â
âWhat happened to my face? What does that mean?â Louis says, his voice offended, but in a joking manner. He knows youâre referring to the fact that heâs clean shaven, something you havenât seen in quite a long time.Â
âI had a bit of a mishap with a razor,â he explains.Â
âSeriously?â
âYea, went a little too short in one spot and there was no saving it. So baby face it is.â
âI like it,â you say, bringing your hand up to slide against the smooth skin. He leans into your touch, and you can tell heâs been craving this reunion as much as you have, maybe more.Â
âLou?â
âYea?â
âKiss me?â
âAlways, love.â
He quickly makes good on his word, leaning on the edge of the bed to kiss you. It starts so gentle, so sweet that it almost brings tears to your eyes. The love you have for this man canât be described in words, but you try anyway. âI love you, Lou. So much. I missed you so much, but I am so, so proud of all youâve accomplished,â you say, making sure he knows just how you feel about him.Â
âI love you too. And I love doing these shows, but it hurts being away from you.â
âWell youâre here now. Thatâs what matters. Letâs make the most of it, okay?â
âThat, I can definitely do,â he replied before leaning in again to kiss you. This one is more intense, more passionate, his tongue immediately sliding between your lips to explore your mouth.Â
He pulls back to undress, kicking off his shoes before removing his clothes until heâs left only in his boxers. He lifts the duvet and is pleased to see that your sleep attire consists of a pair of his boxers and one of his shirts.Â
Louis settles his body on top of yours. He kisses up your neck, to your chin, then back to your mouth. You make out lazily, tongues languidly caressing. Neither of you knows how much time passes, too lost in one another to worry about something so menial. None of that matters. The only thing that matters is that youâre together.Â
Your hands move along his bare torso, pausing only when Louis starts lifting the bottom of your shirt. Once thatâs removed, you both begin to explore each other's bodies, as though relearning every detail of each other.Â
Louis starts to press kisses down your torso, until he gets to the boxers youâre wearing. He looks up, silently asking permission, which you quickly grant him. He slowly takes off the boxers, leaving you naked beneath him.Â
His kisses continue, trailing lower until suddenly, his tongue darts out to lick through your folds. You gasp at the sudden wave of pleasure that rolls through you. Louis begins eating you out in earnest. Itâs different than usual, no scruff burning your thighs, and part of you misses that, just a little. And then he flicks his tongue just right and all thoughts leave your mind.Â
Your orgasm hits suddenly, and you cry out as he works you through it, elongating the pleasure until youâre pushing him away.Â
He gives you a few minutes to catch his breath before he slips his boxers off, adding them to the clothing scattered in the room. You reach out, pumping his hard length for a moment before he gently moves your hand away.Â
âNeed to be inside you,â he says, voice verging on desperation. You love when he gets so worked up, so needy for you.Â
You shuffle slightly before your hand goes back to him, guiding his hard cock to your dripping entrance. He slides in easily until heâs completely nestled inside of you, causing both of you to moan in pleasure.Â
He breathes deeply for a moment, and you know him well enough that this is more for him than you. While he always gives you a second to adjust, he also sometimes needs time as well to ensure he doesnât finish too quickly, especially when youâve been apart for a while.Â
Once he has himself under control he pulls out before quickly pushing back in. He starts off hard and fast, before slowing down, pounding in and letting you feel every inch of him. He alternates between these two speeds, his fingers eventually moving to rub circles on your clit.Â
You canât help the noises you make, the moans and whimpers that he pushes out of you with each thrust. And when you do come, youâre grateful not to have neighbors, since thereâs no way you can stay quiet. Not when youâre overwhelmed by one of the most intense orgasms of your life.Â
âFucking hell!â Louis shouts, his hips becoming more erratic as he chases his own high. It hits a moment later, and you sigh in bliss as his warm cum fills you.Â
âHoly shit,â he says. âThat was the hottest thing ever, babe. I canât believe you did that?â
âDid what?â You ask, confused about what happened.Â
âYou squirted. Never seen you do that before.â
âI did? No way! No wonder that felt so intense.â
âCanât wait to make you do that again,â he says, a cheeky smile on his face. âThough maybe we should change these sheets.â
âWhy change them if weâre just going to get them messy again?â You ask suggestively.Â
âYou do have a point there.â He replies. Â
An hour later the two of you finally leave the bed, only to have one more round in the shower. Finally, you head down to the kitchen for breakfast. The first thing you notice is a vase full of your favorite flowers on the table. Your heart swells again at the gesture, and youâre reminded that even though it may be hard dating someone who travels so much, you wouldnât trade Louis for the world.Â
You spend a couple days with Louis before he needs to leave again.Â
âI hate saying goodbye,â you say.Â
âI know, baby. I do too. But only two more weeks of festivals and then Iâm home for good,â he says.Â
You try not to smile too big, not wanting to give away that you have a secret. Heâs not the only one capable of planning a surprise. And his look of pure joy and excitement when you arrive at his show just five days later is definitely worth it.

*The moon is high like your friends were the night that we first met. Went home and tried to stalk you on the internet.*
When Jaâmarr Invited me to the Super Bowl after party I was not expecting the level of commitment they had given to celebrating. I donât think there is a single person in this room other than me thatâs sober. Iâve been hiding away in this corner hoping that J will have forgotten Iâm here, and for a while it works. Once he spots me I have no way out. Heâs coming over with a goofy grin on his face followed by what looks to be his buddy Joe. In all the years that Jaâmarr and I have been friends I havenât actually met Joe. Until tonight I guess.
âWhat are you doing over here?â Jaâmarr asks, pulling me into his side and looking expectantly for my answer.
âIâm just enjoying the festivities..in private.â
âI have someone I want you to meet.â He turns around waving for Joe, who had got caught up by someone in the crowd, to come over.
âJoe this is my best friend from back home, y/n. Y/N this is my buddy Joe Burrow.â Joe holds his hand out and I take it giving a slight shake.
âJoe Burrow? I donât believe Iâve heard of you.â I say sarcastically in an attempt to lighten the mood.
âWell Iâve been waiting for this for a while. Chase talks about you all the time. Itâs nice to put a face to the stories.â He says, the nervousness still evident in his voice.
âJ likes to keep me hidden away from all of his friends. He thinks theyâre gonna fall in love with me or something.â Joeâs grin reaches all the way to the corner of his eyes and he glances sideways to see J just staring off into space.
âI guess itâs a good thing heâs too high to understand whatâs happening right now.â
âLooks like everyone is.â
We talked for a while longer before he got swept away, and maybe itâs the contact high from all the weed but I went home and read everything I could find on the internet about Joe.
*The wine is cold like the shoulder that I gave you in the street. Cat and mouse for a month or two or three.*
Why do people think inviting single people to weddings is a cool idea? Iâve been sitting at this bar for 20 minutes waiting on my glass of wine, which isnât free by the way. The only reason I agreed to come to this silly thing is because the bride is the only friend Iâve made since Jaâmarr convinced me to move to Cincinnati two months ago. Weddings suck. Iâm so immersed in my thoughts that I donât even notice when someone slips into the seat beside me. My eyes grew wide as I glanced over to find a familiar mop of brown hair.
âBe honest, are you stalking me?â He asks playfully. If heâs been at this thing the whole time I definitely didnât see him.
âWhy would I stalk some meat head football player? I mean youâre not even rich.â I spit back playfully.
âOkay, you got me there. What are you drinking tonight?â
âIâve been waiting on a glass of wine, I think he forgot about me.â I fake pout.
âDonât worry Iâll take care of it.â He waves down the bartender (who momentarily fanboys) and asks for two glasses of white wine, we have drinks within seconds.
âOh the perks of being QB1.â A blush creeps onto my cheeks as he examines my face.
âIâm sensing youâve got a problem with meat head football players.â
âOnly the kind who get special treatment.â I pick up my purse and take out some cash to pay for the wine but he immediately pushes it back towards me.
âLet me.â
âI donât need any charity Joe. I can pay for my own drink thanks.â I go to slide the cash onto the counter again but he stops me for the second time. âHow about you just let me get the drink and you can pay me back?â
âAnd how do you suppose I do that?â I question suspiciously.
âLet me take you on a date?â His eyes are hopeful and they arenât looking away from mine. I canât help the chuckle that escapes my lips. I stand up placing the cash on the bar in front of him before leaning down to whisper in his ear,
âLike I said, I donât need any charity from you.â With that I turn on my hell and walk out the door. I hate weddings.
A few hours later I receive a texts that says:
I need the charity, go on a date with me?
I hate to admit it but I thought about Joe for the rest of the night. It only took him two months of texts and well timed âvisitsâ to Jâs until I finally said yes.
I like shiny things but Iâd marry you with paper rings. Uh-huh, thatâs right. Darling, youâre the one I want.
Okay, so maybe I underestimated what it would be like to date the most famous quarterback in the NFL. My self-esteem has taken some major blows over the last year and with another season of football looming around the corner I donât know if I can take it anymore. Fans are not thrilled to see Joe dating a normal âaverage lookingâ woman. Every time I show up to a game and they put me on that damned jumbotron there are clips of me circulating for a week until a new one comes about, the entire world just picking me apart. Which is why I have been strategically avoiding Joeâs questions about whether I will be attending his first preseason game tomorrow. Until now that is..
âOkay, talk to me.â Joe says, staring directly into my eyes as we sit across from each other at the kitchen counter.
âTalk to you about what?â I laugh nervously and start to fidget with a leftover piece of paper from crafts with his nephew yesterday.
âWhatâs going on in that pretty little head of yours? Why arenât you answering my questions about the game? And why do you look like youâre about to throw up?â He says matter of factly, taking the paper out of my hands and messing with it himself.
âItâs nothing.â I mumble looking anywhere but at his face.
âY/N.. if you donât tell me what is going on, Iâm asking J.â No way he just pulled the Jaâmarr card. Who told me it was a good idea to date my best friends.. other best friend.
âFine.. I just.. your fans donât really like me Joey. I donât know if I want to subject myself to the same torture I went through last season.â He sets the paper aside and pulls my hands to his mouth. Letting his kiss linger on my knuckle for a few quiet moments as he thinks about how to respond.
âI donât care,â he looks me right in the eyes, âI donât care what they say, or what they think they know about our relationship. Youâre my girl. Youâre the one that I want. Nobody is going to change my mind, donât let them get in your head.â I canât help the love and appreciation that seeps through me, I pick up the small piece of paper that he had formed into a ring while we were talking and focus on it for few moments to collect my emotions, he laughs and takes it from my hand before walking around to my chair.. âI love you, and itâs not because of what other people do or donât think of you, itâs because youâre you. And because even if the only thing I had to give you was this little paper ring youâd still love me back. Thatâs whatâs important to me. Not all that bullshit on the internet and in the tabloids.â I laugh as he slides the ring on my left hand and wipes a tear from the corner of my eye.
âI think thatâs the most Iâve heard you say at one time.â
âWhat can I say, youâre worth getting passionate about.â I stand up and pull him close, leaning up to kiss him.
âI guess I better find me a game day fit,â He smiles before laying another peck on my lips, âI love you too, Joey. Just so you know.â
âI know.â

Drained. If he were asked how he felt years ago, that would be his answer. It was draining to keep up appearances for the sake of being the shining bright hero. He felt tired and drained. At one point, he was having a dilemma with who he was. The dread of being in a constant battle against himself was slowly eating him.Â
A star should shine, they say. But he felt like he was drowning. Amidst the popularity and persona he's portraying, something đĽđ˘đłđŹ was stirring within him. It's not like the public knows what his power is. Who knows what would happen if it ever got leaked? Would they still stare at him in awe? Or are they going to all turn away and look for another star?
Those were his thoughts years ago when he slowly accepted his fate as a hero. But who could've thought? Not him. He thought he would always be that "hero" then. A shining star in the sky, being stared upon by millions of people and being idolized like he's a god. Shining but alone.
Then you came along. No, you were just passing by. Wrong term again. You were robbing a house years ago. He just happened to be there. He was confused. Seeing a thief playing with the housecat they're supposed to be stealing from was never a sight he expected.
And shit.
How dare his lips crack a smile. How dare his body stay frozen and only watch you from afar.Â
Yes, he won't lie.
What he did after that is...stalkerish. Tracking you down, trying to find an opportunity to get closer to you. He could easily do that as a hero. Finding you and using his fame to track you is easier but no, that would be too intimidating for you.
A lot of things have happened since then. Fighting aliens was never what he expected to be doing in the future but here he is. And then there's another one, a big change he welcomed wholly, you.
â・°âŠâ・°âŠâ・°⊠â・°âŠâ・°âŠâ・°âŠâ・°âŠâ・°âŠâ・°âŠâ・°âŠâ・°âŠâ・°âŠ
He took off his cape, then glanced at your figure on the bed. You probably fell asleep for a few hours now. He can't blame you, he was gone for a while. He had rescued some people from another alien attack, coming home at midnight just now.
"...Star?"
He calls out just to confirm. When he didn't hear any shift or answer, he walked into the bathroom. After a long day, a warm shower might do him good. Especially after fighting aliens for who knows how long since they attacked suddenly.Â
He turns on the shower. The fog blurs the mirror cover as the warm water cascades down his body. It felt...nice. He's not that physically hurt much, but a nice long shower is his go-to after hero work.Â
His mind rewinds to that encounter just a few weeks ago. He was testing you and for a moment, he had thought he failed you. If it wasn't for your explanation, he would've...well, made shining the brightest a reality. For you to look for Ray instead of his persona, you know what words to say.Â
His mind was cut off when he heard a creak. He looks slightly over his shoulder, raising an eyebrow as he catches your familiar figure in the doorway.Â
"Star, I'll finish soon."
He spoke softly, seeing you peeking inside. His eyes met yours and..there was a long moment of staring before you spoke. You just woke up, and your voice is a bit groggy still as you speak.
"Take your time."
You coughed, clearing your throat more clearly before asking.
"Did you just come home?'
He tilts his head back, thinking for a moment before answering. He's not sure whether to face you or if you can see all of him through the shower mirror.
"Yes, a few minutes ago. Sorry, it took longer than expected."
He replied, running a hand over his damp hair. He turns off the shower and you perk up.
"You're leaving?"
He stops in his tracks with your question.
"The shower? Yes."
He answered.
"You usually take long ones."
"Yes, but you're awake."
"You didn't wake me though."
"..."
He turns slightly, glancing at your foggy figure through the shower mirror.
"What do you suggest, star?"
He heard you hum and you stepped closer to the shower mirror door.
"You should take your usual showers. I think I could use one too."
He tilts his head to the left, a small smirk forming his lips but before he could say something suggestive, you spoke again.
"No innuendos."
đđđđ, đŽđ¤đŞ'đ§đ đ¨đŠđđ§đŠđđŁđ đŠđ¤ đ đŁđ¤đŹ đđ¤đŹ đđđ¨ đ˘đđŁđ đŹđ¤đ§đ đ¨.
He bit his lip to stifle a chuckle before responding.
"Okay, no innuendos for today. Come on then."
He slides the door open and meets you face to face. He leans back against the cold tile.
"Don't tell me you're going in with your clothes on."
"I'm working on it. Patience, hero."
He chuckles as you roll your eyes while he watches you discard your clothes aside. He never thought he would feel so...domestic one day. Once again, you're making him feel things he thought he would never feel.
"I'll hop in now."
You spoke and he nodded. He held a hand to help you in, making sure you wouldn't slip as you stepped inside.
"Comfortable?"
"Hm."
You hum, sliding the door closed. He met your gaze and saw how it dropped to his body.
"...Eyes up here. No innuendos, you say."
He commented and you hit his arm. He laughed a bit while you found an excuse.
"It's an involuntary thing!"
"Right. You checked out people involuntarily, star?"
"I mean..."
He raised a brow when you pursed your lips as if thinking about it. Then you grin and look up at him.
"Only if it's you."Â
You spoke so teasingly. He took a discreetly deep breath when you smiled so flirtatiously afterward.
"You like playing dangerous games, star."
"Hey, I said no innuendos."
You spoke and he shook his head, turning on the shower again. He sighs as the water flows down his body, closing his eyes for a moment before opening them again to glance at you.
The cap of the shampoo bottle clicks as you open it up. He watches as you squeeze some amount on your palm then looks up at him.
"Come on, duck down a bit."
He smiles in amusement but follows anyway. He turns the shower off again.
"Wait here."
He opens the sliding door and looks beneath the sink where he keeps a shower chair. He steps out for a moment, turning his back to you while he retrieves it.
"đđđđ."
He heard your thoughts and he already knew where you were looking. Somehow, your thoughts get louder when you're thinking of risquĂŠ things. It amuses him.
"No innuendos, y/n."
He spoke while he was getting the shower chair, using your own words again. He heard you gasp for a moment.
"Don't read my mind."
"I was not, you're thinking too loud, star."
"That doesn't make sense."
"Sure it doesn't."
He walks back and places the shower chair down before closing the door.Â
"Do you still have the shampoo on your palm?"
"Hm."Â
You hummed and gestured for him to sit down quickly. He follows anyway by sitting down and tilting his head back. He sighs as you massage his hair.
"...Did you insist on joining me just to do this?"
"What? No."
He chuckles.
"You're a very good liar."
You rolled your eyes and continued lathering his hair with shampoo.
"Your hairstyle is very different when you're in your hero outfit."
He sighs.
"Yeah, my makeup artist does that."
"You have makeup artists? Plural?"
He chuckles. His eyes are closed as he answers.
"I do. Appearance and all that."
"Hm. I do like your hair better when it's down though.."
đđŁđđ đđđđđŁ, đŽđ¤đŞ đĄđđ đ đđđ˘ đđ¨ đđđŽ
He opens his eyes.
"Star."
"Hm?"
He pauses for a moment. His lips parted as he thought of how to say it.
"Remember when we met..not exactly the first time but.. when I asked you about your opinion of Binary Star Hero? Back when you didn't know yet it was..me too."
He watches you blink. Your hands slow down in massaging his hair as you think about it.
"Yeah, I do remember."
"You don't like his eyes and smile."
"I don't."
You confirmed.Â
"Why is that again?"
You pursed your lips as you thought about your answer before trying to remember how you said it again. Your hands gently run through his shampooed hair.
"Like there was something strange or unsettling with his bright smile and red eyes..?"
He hums, nodding.
"Something like that."
He thinks for a moment before continuing.
"It's like you saw right through me, even on the television screen."
He watches as you chuckle and shake your head.
"I mean, I think I wasn't the only human thinking about it, you know?"
"Maybe."
He reaches for your hand, putting it against his cheek while looking up at you.
"How about mine?"
"Yours?"
"Yeah, mine's. You said you like my hair better when it's down. How about my eyes or my smile?"
He caught sight of how your lips quirked up.
"I like it better too."
"Really?"
"Yeah, your sleepy eyes."
"Sleepy eyes?"
He watches you chuckle as you continue.
"You always have these tired eyes and a smirk. Oh, and the moles too.â
âThe moles?â
âYeah, those moles. It fits you naturally.â
You spoke, remembering when he first stepped into that cafe.
"You were cold by the way, at first."
He chuckles.
"Ah, that."
"Yeah, đŠđđđŠ."
"Don't you like cold guys?"
"What? No."
"You found me good-looking though."
"I---Did you read my mind that time?"
You confronted and he hums, closing his eyes.
"Wash my hair, please. I'm going to turn blind and you won't see my tired eyes again."
He evades the question although you already knew the answer. You sighed and turned the small shower head on to use. The water felt nice as it rinsed the shampoo out of his hair.Â
Warm.
Comfortable.
Contentment.
He opens his eyes again once you turn it off. He sat up straight.
"Your turn."
"My turn?"
"Yes, star. Your turn.â
He replied as he reached for the shampoo bottle again. He watches you sit down on the shower chair now.
"The chair is comfortable."
"I got it as a gift."
"A gift?"
You ask and he nods, washing your hair gently before lathering it with shampoo.
"I think it was a fan gift or something."
"A fan gave you...this?"
"...You'll be surprised by what kind of gifts they sent me."
"I don't know if I should be creeped out."
He stifled a chuckle.
"Fans are...fans."
You nod. He watches your eyes close as he gently washes your hair. His fingers prevent the water from pouring down your face. His eyes take note of each of your features, etching them into his mind.
"Done."
He spoke, turning the water off and helping you up. He smiles at you after putting away the shower chair.
"Come here. Soap next."
He watches as you raise an eyebrow.
"No innuendos?"
"You should be the one asking yourself that."
He replied as you pursed your lips slightly.Â
"Your hands tend to wander, star."
He continued, seeing the slight flush of your face.Â
"That makes me sound like a pervert."
"Are you not?"
"I am not!"
He laughs. His shoulders shake as he covers his mouth with the back of his hand.
"Fine, soap up my back then?"
"Your back?"
"Yeah, no wandering."
You grinned and he shook his head, pointing a finger at you.
"Bad star."
"I wasn't even saying anything."
"I could hear the gears turning in your head."
"I won't wander!"
You promised and he cocks an eyebrow.
"Promise?"
"...promise."
He bites his lip to stop laughing at the hesitation in your voice.
"Here."
He gave the soap to you, entrusting it to your hands before turning around. He could hear how giddy you were deep inside your mind as you soap up his back. Your hands lingered on his shoulder and traced the lines on his back down his waist then up again. At least, you haven't wandered yet.
"...Can I soap up the front too?"
He turns to you with an amused smile.Â
"Since you didn't wander off, I could trust you just a little bit."
He watches you smile up to him with sparkles in your eyes. He shakes his head and reaches for your hand, placing it against his chest.
"Careful, okay?"
"I won't stray from the top. I promise."
"Good star."
He lets go of your hand and lets you begin. Watching you soap his chest and then up his shoulder, he sighs. He pushes stray hair behind your ear.
"You're soaping my chest too much."
He pointed out, which you just shrugged at before lowering your hands to his abdomen. He could practically hear your thoughts again. Your đĄđ¤đŞđ thoughts.Â
He clears his throat.
"Remember your promise?"
"Hm? Oh, I do."
You replied, glancing up at him as if innocent from what you were thinking just now.
"...I think I'm full of soap now."
"You are?"
He covers a laugh, gently stealing the soap away from your hand while you sulk a bit.
"Yes, youâve done enough.â
âIâm not soap up yet.â
Your response made him quirk an eyebrow, a bit caught off guard. He saw the satisfaction in your eyes while watching the slight tint of red on his cheeks.
âIs that an invitation?â
He questioned to which you responded with an innocent smile once again.
âI was just saying. Why? Are you offering?â
đżđđ§đŠđŽ đ¨đŠđđ§.
You give him a smirk and he turns the shower on. The sudden spray of warm water surprises you as it hits your direction.
âWhaâHey!â
You protested. He laughs before turning it off.
âThere, I can soap you up now.â
âA little warning is much appreciated.â
âWell, your thoughts need some cleansing.â
âDonât intrude my thoughts now!â
He laughs, guiding you softly to turn around. His hands massage your shoulder, attempting to calm you down and apologize.Â
âOkay, okay, that was my bad.â
He spoke with a chuckle, pressing a quick kiss between the juncture of your shoulder and neck.Â
âYouâre a bad hero.â
You commented and he laughed more against your now wet skin from the shower. He placed one final kiss against the same spot before spreading the soap on his hands. He gently lathers up from your shoulder.
âFeels good?â
âHm. Iâm still deciding.â
He shakes his head in mirth at your hard-to-get attitude but continues to massage your muscles while lathering your back with soap.
âYou feel tense here.â
âWhere?â
âHere.â
He pressed further just below your lower back. He smirks up as he hears a satisfied moan leave your lips.Â
âSo?
âY...Yeah, that felt good.â
He hums in satisfaction, wrapping his arms around your waist. He rests his chin on your shoulder as he hugs you from behind.
âWe should get you a better bed. That might help these muscles.â
âWe donât need to. Iâm just getting older.â
âYou speak like youâre sixty.â
You roll your eyes. He felt you leaning back against his chest. He catches your eyes when you tilt your head up slightly to look at him.
âYou donât get back aches?â
âNormally? No. Only if I hit the wall hard during a fight.â
âA wall? Are you sure your spine is still in proper shape?â
âI am. I go to check-ups for a reason.â
You hum. He watches as you close your eyes as if savoring the peacefulness surrounding the both of you in the shower. The only sound is their breathing and the water droplets from the faucet.
His thumbs put firm pressure on the spots on either side of your lower back again. He savors your soft moan as he gently massages the area in circles, relieving the tension stored in it.
â..Ray?â
âHm?â
There was silence for a moment although he already knew what you were trying to say. He can read how your mind goes that way and he had to stifle a chuckle until you finally voice it out.
âYouâre poking me.â
âYour mind described it as throbbing.â
âRay!â
âYou were making sweet sounds.â
He replied and pulled away. He leans back against the cold tiled walls and crosses his arms. He watches as you turn around to glance at him. Such a curious cat to even take a peek down his body. Shameless.Â
He chuckles and turns on the shower, spraying the both of you underneath.
âCome, letâs wash up before you break your promise.â
The shower routine felt more domestic than he expected. Although there were some teasing moments and how he tried ignoring your thoughts, he managed to finish up. He dries his hair with a towel while you're dressing yourself into your usual pajamas. He's on his sweaters now as well.
"It's so early.."
He heard your comment. He glances at the clock. It is early, only two hours past midnight.
"Sleepy again?"
He asks and you shake your head.
"I can't sleep now."
He hums. That's what you always say when asking to cuddle with him.
"Ray, cuddle with me."
đđ đ đŁđđŹ đđŠ.
He glances at your figure on the bed through the mirror. He's getting used to this more and more, and looking forward to you asking him like this every night.
"Move a bit to the side."
He walks closer and settles down beside you on the bed. His arm propped up while resting his cheek on his hand.
"Alright, scoot closer."
And you did. He sighs and cups your cheek with one hand, gently caressing it with his thumb.
"Are you gonna kiss me goodnight?"
You asked.
đđđŞđđđŠđŽ đ¨đŠđđ§.
He chuckles, his cheeks tinting a bit. You could be bold in one minute.
"You want me to?"
"I think it would make me sleep easier."
"You always say that."
"And I always fall asleep after."
He can't say anything against that. You do fall asleep quickly afterward. His kiss somehow feels like a magic kiss at this point.Â
"Ray?"
He shifted, leaning closer. His thumb is still caressing your cheek before his hand slides down your chin. He tilts your head slightly.
"Goodnight kiss it is then."
He replied and pressed a kiss to your forehead, then down to your nose, and finally, captured your lips with his. You welcomed him, even pulling him close. His lips move sweetly and gently against yours, deepening the kiss.Â
It felt...nice being accepted like this. Just a few years ago, he let you get away with robbing the house of a legislator. Now, he's letting you steal his heart away.

You woke up in a cold sweat, body trembling. You threw the heavy comforter off of you in a haste. The boys were no longer in your bed.Â
A man.
A man that you not dare speak his name was now in your bed. A man from years ago, who you thought you had forgotten. Apparently you havenât.
âDidnât you miss me?â He whispered. You shook your head violently. Itâs all a dream, you reasoned. I just need to wake up.
âI missed you. I think about you every day. Do you ever think about me?â
âNo!â You yelled, now sobbing. âYou left! Youâre a coward! All you do is run.â
The man grabbed you by your hair gently, making you face him. He wiped the tears off your warm cheeks. âI wonât run this time.â
âI promise.â
Two words. Two words was all it took to wake you from your dream. Or was it a nightmare? Itâs up to you to decide.
***
It was a cold, rainy morning. Yoongi sat by the window in the living room, watching water droplets splash off the leaves while bundled up in a fuzzy blanket. It was a drowsy morning for the boys. They were worried about their pack leader, of course. They were curious about his wellbeing.
They feared that they were next.
You did what you could to comfort them, but you knew that without Namjoon home, the boys were never going to feel true peace. It made you sick to your stomach thinking about what the researchers may be doing to him. Taehyung couldnât sleep without being next to Jimin. Jimin was restless when sleeping without Jungkook.
And Kook had night terrors when he wasnât cuddling with you.
Hoseok was jumpy. A knock at the door had him running. Thunderstorms woke him from his slumber. Jin was unusually caring. In the morning he already made breakfast, working on lunch. After showers, it gave Jin a sense of protection drying his pack members hair. He even made his rounds, room to room, making sure everyone was sleeping soundly. When Jin had a chance to rest his eyes, all he could picture was the people he loved be snatched one by one.
Yoongi had a caffeine problem.
A cup in the morning, cup in the afternoon, and a piping hot cup before bed. He believed it to be a stress reliever, but he was actually bouncing off the walls, having caffeine induced anxiety attacks. You even tried hiding the coffee maker, but to no avail. He found it every time. And he would never admit that he canât relax without having the entire pack in his sight.
âCan I come in?â A knock at your office door awoke you from your thoughts. Jin, on the other side of the door with a cup of hot cocoa and a plate of bacon and eggs, awaited your response. âI donât wanna interrupt.â
You pushed your rolling chair to the door, creaking it open for him. âNo, youâre not interrupting anything. Just doing some research...This for me?â You pointed at the plate of food in Jinâs hand. He nodded, handing you the warm plate carefully.
âAnd donât worry about cleaning. Tae already put everything away. Watcha researching?â His eyes roamed your desk. A map with written directions. An article titled: Dr. Kim Petitions Court for Hybrid Rights.
And a piece of torn paper with a phone number on it and a fancy name.
âWhoâs Hongjoong?â Jin asked you, a little more aggressively than he thought. âIâm sorry. I didnât mean it like that. Youâre free to talk to whoever, I just-â
âItâs okayâ, you giggled, showing him that youâre in no way upset. âI was actually going to talk to you guys about something, but now that youâre here I guess Iâll tell you. Come sitâ. You pat the velvet ottoman across from your desk.Â
âI wanna get your thoughts before I tell the others.â
âTell the others what, exactly?â Jin sat down with ease, a lot of curiosity.
You prepared your thoughts. How do I say that I want to take the countries most wanted hybrids to the research facility where their pack leader is being kept?
âW-what?â
Shit, I said that out loud.
âWait! Im so sorry! Fuck, that came out wrong. I was trying to say that I found a way for us to get Namjoon back, but it requires a lot of workâ. You hoped that eased Jins worries. You hoped he would ponder of over the idea, give it some thought. You hoped he would say yes and convince the others.
You hoped.
âSo, you want to travel with six hybrid criminals, in hopes of breaking out another hybrid criminal, and make it back home in one piece? Im confused.â
Rightfully so. You didnât have it all planned out. You didnât give him all the details. You didnât even know the details yourself! Now, youâre putting your trust in an old friend who claims that he believes in hybrid rights?
Sounds like a bunch of horse shit to Jin.
âJin please just hear me outâ, you begged. âI have this friend- well old classmate, really. Heâs a researcher who is currently on strike for his beliefs on hybrid testing and abuse. If I can get to him, he might be able to help us get Joon back.â
You could see the look on Jinâs face. He was still dubious, and he had every right to be. Why do we have to go? He wondered. Can you promise me weâll make it back?
âYou want my honest opinion?â You nodded frantically. âOkay...â
He paused. âI feel like itâs a shitty idea.â
âJin-â
âNo! You wanna know what I think? I think itâs a dumb fucking idea! God knows what will happen on the way there. Not to mention, Joon may already be dead! Then you have led us into a trap where we will all face the same fate, you included!âÂ
You sighed. You were getting nowhere. Dead end after dead end. It seemed hopeless.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
A notification popped up on your phone. It was a text message. One that you didnât expectâŚ
Kim Hongjoong 8:35 AM
Hey, itâs been a while
Been thinking about youâŚ
Im actually back home visiting my parents
Was wondering if you maybe
wanted to catch up?
***
He felt like he was floating. His body was beaten and bruised. His hearing was foggy. He couldnât hear the whisperings going on in the lab, but he could hear the banging on the metal bars of his cell.
âLeave him!â One researcher yelled. âDr. Kim said not to touch him until he gets back! Do you really want to upset him?â
The other guy rolled his eyes. âWhy would I care what he says?â
âMaybe because he signs our checks?â The researcher continued his tasks, analyzing Namjoons blood in the glass test tube. âCan you at least try to not sound like an asshole?â
The guy smirked, banging on the bars one more time.
âNot possible.â
***
That night you curled up in bed with a good book, needing a distraction. The pack wanted to sleep together, leaving you with a bed all to yourself. You knew how they felt about you, perceiving you as part of the pack, but it didnât feel right to impose on their personal time together. Youâre human after all. You might not ever truly be apart of themâŚ
âYou think loudly. Your face shows it allâ
You jumped, throwing your book to the side. Wasnât like you were reading it anyway. âMy god Yoongi! You almost gave me a heart attack!â
He shushed you. âKeep it down. It took forever for everyone to go to sleep. I almost didnât make it hereâ, he laughed, making his way to the left side of the bed. You scooted over to give him room.
âI thought you guys were sleeping together tonight?â You asked. âIsnât this like a pack violation or something?â Yoongi stuffed himself under the covers and rested his head on the pillow.
âJust lay down and shut upâ, he huffed.
âWell, excuse meâ, you giggled, reaching over to your nightstand and turning off the light. Yoongi held his arms out, an invitation for you to be held. He seemed to always know exactly what you needed. âThanks Yoon.â
âAnytime my love, anytime.â

Genuinely wanna hear more regarding the No Wish SAHSRAU (Is that how it's spelled?) especially with all the new events that's happened.
Including the Dr Ratio that slid into our DMs.
First, apologies for the wait I took a while doing this request and then also decided not to post anything during the Palestine strike period because free Palestine.
And man, I don't know how it's spelled. I'd assume that's right it's so long though. Also YES Dr. Ratio sliding into our DMs except bro waltzes in and calls us an idiot ;-;
But first! Let's catch up with some of the current crew who is currently in Penacony!
Warning Penacony Spoilers
For the Trailblazer Penacony's been rough... Shortly after the death of their new closest friend, they'd been coerced into talking with Aventurine, and now had to make a decision without consulting any of the Astral Express beforehand. Sure, they were a seasoned adventurer with two missions under their belt but they still have no idea about their past or if they could trust such sketchy people.
"Aventurine, that little rat..." Their ears perked up when they suddenly heard the voice of this presumed Aeon. "I want to knock my fist against his forehead and see if there's a brain in there." The Trailblazer wouldn't try that.
But if you were acting like this maybe Aventurine and Black Swan could be trusted. The Trailblazer forced themselves to relax and tried to show confidence in their eyes. They could do this. It was good you were still by their side in the dreamscape, otherwise... what would they do?
Herta has found it's more difficult to communicate with you than the Aeons. While the Aeons simply didn't want to communicate it was as if there was some sort of wall separating her from you. It was beyond fascinating but it irked her, she wanted to get into contact with you right away. Then, as she was working to implement a simulated version of you into the simulated universe as an Aeon she had a revelation. What if... this was all a game?
Natasha had done it. Recently the eyes glanced off her more often, something she couldn't help but feel disappointed at. But upon one instance when they glanced upon her, she'd taken their warmth in full, and decided to set out. It seemed when these eyes were on her, she improved in nearly every aspect, so maybe her luck would improve as well? Even though it had been a dead end many times before she investigated Vache's worn down laboratory covered by snow searching for research. Except this time, she found something. This Aeon... was strangely benevolent and caring towards mortals.
That's all the updates we have for now on the current characters, in terms of progress. Herta is one smart cookie but who else is one smart cookie? Dr. Ratio!!! That man I love him so much. Sampo is also a potential worrying addition.
Given in the current event you can get either Sampo, Guinaifen, Asta, or Yukong for free, so let's see how they react.
Dr. Ratio
...This was interesting. The plot unfurling behind the scenes of Penacony was to be expected, Aventurine was being a pain in his ass also to be expected, but an Aeon looking at him? A smart Aeon. One who also must hope to purge the world of ignorance! A noble pursuit. Or perhaps, they'd realized their own ignorance and sought to rectify it some of the Aeons were rather lackluster in this manner after all. But they'd likely never change in their ways.
And you're no longer looking at him, that's fine. Is it a bit more chilly in here or is it just him? An interesting side effect of your gaze then, the feeling of warmth. He wondered why that happened, the look of Nanook was dangerous and suffocating, near fatal for any mortal. That of Yaoshi's was said to be sickeningly sweet and suffocating as well. Nous' was cold and calculating, judging your every asset and whether or not you had potential. Everyone had potential, they just had to choose to rid themselves of their ignorance. If the gaze wasn't suffocating maybe... you were a weak Aeon? One that had just formed or had been thought to have died.
Interesting. Aeons, the topic no scholar knew completely about. Herta was researching deeply into them, Dr. Ratio supposed he could always ask her yet he didn't want to feed into her ego. There were other ways to get the information though.
Guinaifen
"Hello, hello! Can you all hear me? Good morning fam! And welcome to Little Gui's stream!"
It was then when Guinaifen suddenly felt warmth wash over her. Oh, maybe it was because this stream was her first normal one after all the ghost catching business but she found herself getting flustered...? Flattered...? She wasn't sure exactly how to describe it yet she felt even more energetic than usual! As if she could go on for hours! When she ended her stream, the warmth was still there and she still felt as if she was being watched.
Wait-- wasn't this how people said they felt when they were being watched by an Aeon? Something similar to this right?! If even an Aeon was watching her, she was definitely going to be famous! When Guinaifen went to tell Sushang about this news, she found Sushang had run into the same thing! Weren't the two of them an impressive pair? :)
E1 Asta
Research had been going smoothly, partly thanks to the eyes always observing Asta. With them came the warmth that brought confidence and innovation she felt she wouldn't feel otherwise. But, she could feel the warmth all the time now. She doubted an Aeon would be able to watch her all of the time so had she been blessed? That was good, she was able to focus on all the stars and her research more now and learn more in less time!
But... why did she feel so forlorn? As if she had been deserted? Had you just blessed her and moved on your way? Herta... Herta knew a lot about Aeons maybe she would know something about what had happened to her, maybe she would know if you're still around.
E1 Yukong
Even after it all Yukong wished to return to the skies. Despite failing her comrades, despite all those around her who she'd cared for yet failed to stop their death, despite the burning wreckage she'd had to painstakingly crawl out of. Yukong wished to fly. In this long life where even the things she'd once loved had dulled, the longing to fly was forever there.
The warmth was on her constantly now, she completed her paperwork faster, she created ingenious plans, but what did it matter?
"I want to go back," Yukong had spoken one day out to the silence of the world and when the warmth remained she realized, perhaps she could go back and fly. Maybe... it would be okay. But for now her fear remained, albeit comforted by the sight of an Aeon.
What a strange Aeon, to care so much for a mortal.
Sampo (spoiler warning for Black Swan quest, although I was kind of confused the whole time so some information may be incorrect)
Now this would be fun! Sampo had known he was right, this was only another clue in the right direction! And this Aeon, watcher, player, reader, whomever you were appeared at the perfect time! Whenever your gaze fell upon him, he could feel his speed increase as well as the rest of, if this were to be a game, his "stats." He knew he wasn't crazy, of course he'd never had that idea in the first place! He'd be able to retrieve his mask much easier now, he could deal with you later.
It wouldn't be anything bad, don't worry, Sampo Koski is always happy to have a new business partner and friend :) !
If there's anything else you wanna hear about it I'd be more than happy for ideas cause I love these little guys (the characters) . It's just them living their life except they're stronger and feel as if they can enact their dreams! And maybe they gain a friend or a small crush on the way but hey that doesn't mean anything until Penacony comes out with some tech they worked on with Herta that allows you to visit in your dreams but no way something like that will happen, right?
Also trailblazer is genuinely so stressed like imagine having to make the decisions to save an ENTIRE FUCKING PLANET and you don't even know who the you are or what you've been through, you're genuinely so lost but hey you're alive, somehow.

As You Wish, Part 4 - Eddie Munson x Reader
A collaboration with my darling @munson-blurbs đ
Note: I will never ever ever stop getting excited when someone says they enjoy this series. Iâve become so attached to this gang and Iâm glad you all like them as well! You can read part three here.
Summary: Your first taste of domestic bliss with Eddie gets a wrench thrown in it
Warnings: smut, oral m and f receiving, talk of drug abuse, talk of abusive parents and shitty home life
Words: 8.4k
[As You Wish masterlist]
Youâve never been much of a morning person, preferring to drag yourself out of bed and into the kitchen with a hope and a prayer that your coffee will perk you up. People who start their days with a spring in their step and a chipper, âgood morning!â are the bane of your existence. If anyone even tries to have a semblance of a conversation with you before the caffeine hits your bloodstream, you instantly dislike them. Itâs safe to say that mornings arenât your thing.Â
That all changes when you get to start your day with Eddieâs head between your legs.Â
âFuck, holy shit!â you cry out, digging your fingers into his messy curls. Your legs rest on his muscular shoulders, trembling with each flicker of his tongue. âRight there, baby. Right there!â
Eddie hums his acknowledgment, sending vibrations shooting up your core. This wasnât what youâd had in mind when youâd asked him what he wanted for breakfast, but youâre certainly not complaining.Â
He grips onto your thighs as he laps at your pussy, and you can see him rutting his pelvis against your mattress. A small part of you wants to tell him to just get inside you, but youâre far too content being doted on. Besides, you know he wonât want to come before you do.
You choke out a sob as his nose nudges your clit, and you feel your orgasm start to build. âAlmostâsâclose, Eddie,â you whimper. Determined to make you feel good, he sucks on the sensitive bud while slipping a thick finger into you, crooking it and making a come-hither motion.Â
âYes! Iâm coming!â You unravel as the coil in your belly snaps, grinding on Eddies face as you finish.Â
Eddie brings you down from your high, lowering your legs back onto the bed. âI think breakfast is my new favorite meal of the day,â he teases, wiping your slick from his chin. He crawls towards your upper body, pressing his kiss-swollen lips to yours.Â
âMmm, my turn,â you say salaciously. âLay back, handsome.â
You start to tug at the waistband of his pajama pants, nibbling at his stomach before kissing over the love bites.Â
âUm, sweetheart?â Eddie mumbles sheepishly. âIf you do thatâŚwell, Iâm not like the 20-year-olds anymore. Gonna take me a minute to get hard again.â
âEddie.â You pull down his pants and boxers, watching as his throbbing cock thwacks against his happy trail. Fuck. âI want you in my mouth. Wanna make you feel so fucking good, just like you do for me, okay?â
âMhm,â he mewls, hissing in pleasure as you lick from base to tip, swirling your tongue around and collecting his pre-cum.Â
Wordlessly, you take him into your waiting mouth, hollowing out your cheeks as you suck him off. Your dominant hand wraps around the part of him you canât fit without gagging, and the other cups his balls. Fighting back a grin as he bucks his hips involuntarily because you are making him feel that good.Â
You bob your head, taking as much of his length as you can. Eddie grips the sheets, swearing and moaning out your name. âCanâtâfuckâhold out any longer,â he manages. âBend over the fucking bed, shit.â
Releasing him with a soft pop and doing as youâre told, Eddie kneels behind you and grabs onto your waist. âGonna come on this perfect ass,â he grunts, tugging on his cock. âSâfucking gorgeous. Take my cum, you gorgeous fuckinâ girl.â You feel his hot release spill onto your ass. Eddieâs breathing heavily, a giant smile on his face. âDamn, sâlike a work of art.â
âEither take a picture or clean me up,â you say with a giggle.Â
Eddieâs eyes widen. âCould IâŚcan I take a picture?â
âPolaroid camera is on a hook in the closet,â you tell him.
âFuck yeah,â Eddie mumbles to himself as he climbs off the bed. Once the camera is secured, Eddie makes his way back to his previous position behind you. âShit, gonna need a lock box to keep these in,â he muses as he looks through the small lens of the camera. âNobody gets to see this shit but me.â You start to wiggle your ass, which has Eddie chuckling as he takes a few more shots. âOkay, baby, now Iâm coming in with the clean up.â Swiping up his long tossed away boxers, he uses the material to clean his cum from your skin.Â
Balling up the soiled boxers, he tosses them into your hamper, attempting to recreate a basketball shot. But he misses. âAh fuck, this is why I didnât do sports. And cause I hate âem. Anyway, what I was gonna say before my mouth was suddenly busy was, how bout I take my girl out to breakfast?â
âThat your way of saying youâre tired of my cooking already?â you ask with a giggle. Walking over, you wrap your arms around Eddieâs neck and let your naked body rest up against his. âCause so far the only meal Iâve cooked for you in this apartment was dinner last night. And between you and the boys, you ate the whole thing!â
âYou know us Munson men love you and your cooking,â Eddie says, pressing a kiss against your forehead.Â
âAnd you inhaled that casserole like it was your last meal. No, wait. Let me rephrase. You inhaled the casserole like your life depended on me. You ate me like I was your last meal.âÂ
âThe thing is, my girl deserves to be taken out. First, she let me devour her, then wore me out with her sinful mouth. Think I need to spoil her some. Plus, I selfishly really want people to see me with the most beautiful girl in the world on my arm.âÂ
âSuch a sweet talker,â you say as you trail your hands down his shoulders and settle them on his chest. âI would love to go to breakfast.â
Eddie steals one last kiss before heâs pulling away to get to his suitcase and so you can rifle through your closet. You settle on a pair of jeans and a soft cream sweater that Eddie had complemented once. It was a few months ago, but you still thought of his sweet words whenever you saw the garment. Eddieâs ready to go in his usual black on black on black ensemble. And looking hot while wearing it. Opening the bedroom door, you step out into the hall, Eddie right behind you. A glimpse of Jess in the kitchen catches your attention so you head that way. Sheâs standing at the counter, chopping something up with a knifeâan onion, by the smell of it. But itâs the big, bulky headphones sheâs wearing that make you laugh.Â
You tap on her shoulder, causing her to jump and spin around to face you. The knife is still clutched in her hand, so you take a step back. Shoulders sagging in relief, Jess places the knife back on the counter and takes off the headphones.Â
âThose new?â you ask. âNever seen them before.â
âYep,â Jess says, appraising her new purchase. âWent out and got them the morning after I found out Eddie would be staying with us. They have come in very handy. Even just a few minutes ago.â She smirks, your face heating up.Â
âYour eardrums should be safe for a while,â you assure her. âWeâre heading out to get breakfast. Not sure what weâre doing afterwards.â
âNo worries. Have fun, you two.â Jess leans back so she can see Eddie where heâs standing in the hallway. âBye, Eddie!â
âBye.â He gives her a wave as you come back to join him. Lacing your fingers with his, you grab your keys and head out of the apartment.Â
You hop into the front seat of Eddieâs truck, buckling your seatbelt and turning on the radio.Â
âPlease, not Billy Joel again,â he begs, pulling onto the road towards Bennyâs.Â
âOh, of course not.â You bat your eyelashes with feigned innocence, tuning the dial to a Top 40 station.Â
Iâll tell you what I want, what I really really want!
So tell me what you want, what you really really want!
âNope, no way,â Eddie protests as you increase the volume and start to sing along. âWe are not listening to the Spice Girls.â
âAw, câmon, baby,â you pout. Truthfully, youâre not the biggest fan of the girl group, but messing with Eddie is too much fun. âYou know the words.â
If you wanna be my lover
You gotta get with my friends
Make it last forever
Friendship never ends!
âWhat the hell does that even mean?â Eddie groans, switching to a station playing AC/DC. âIâm sorry; I love you, but I couldnât listen to another second of that.â
âCalm down, Grumpy Spice. I like this more, anyway.â
âGood. Shows youâve got some taste. I mean, after all, you did pick me.â The self-satisfied smirk on his face has you rolling your eyes.Â
âOh, weâre not even gonna go there,â you say with a laugh. âLook who you picked the first time around.â
âWell, shit, you got me there.â Eddie laughs along with you as he pulls into a parking space.Â
The diner is mostly empty, so you get your French Toast and Eddie his waffles fairly quickly.Â
âThese are way better than those frozen Eggos,â he says, pouring syrup on top.Â
âYâknow youâre supposed to heat them up before you eat them, right?â you giggle, and Eddie flips you off. He steals your cup of juice and takes a large swig of it.Â
âPayback,â he says.Â
âJust donât backwash,â you warn.
Eddie raises his eyebrows as he stares at you. âYouâre gonna tell me not to let any of my saliva get into your drink after where my tongue was just an hour ago?â
âOhâŚshut up,â you say, because heâs got you. You steal a piece of waffle from his plate just to be a brat.Â
âYou have anything you have to do today?â Eddie asks before shoving too large of a piece into his mouth.Â
âNope,â you say. âOkay, well technically, I have to read a few pages in my textbook for class tomorrow, but I can do that before bed.â
âWhat would you say about coming apartment hunting with me?â
You blink up at him, eyes wide and curious. It makes you look so innocent, Eddie thinks. Maybe this is how he makes you feel when he turns those big cow eyes on you.Â
âYou want me to come with you?â you ask slowly, as if you didnât understand the question.
âWell, yeah,â Eddie says with a chuckle. âIâm hoping youâre gonna be spending a lot of time there too, ya know. Iâd love your input. Now, the real question isâŚdo you think it needs to be a three bedroom? I do. I think if the boys share a room, itâll be the end of whatâs left of my sanity.â
Giggling, you nod your head. âI could see a childâs version of WWE wrestling going on in that room if theyâre forced to share.âÂ
âRight,â he affirms. âAnd Iâd prefer to stay out of emergency rooms if possible, soâŚthree bedrooms it is. One for Ryan, one for Luke, and one forâŚâ He trails off, unsure of how to finish that sentence.Â
You take his hand, stroking the back of it with your thumb. âHey, itâs okay. Iâm totally fine with being a guest until everything gets sorted out. Besides, the kids are going through a lot of changes right now. I think it needs to just be them and their daddy for a little while.âÂ
Eddie brings your hand up to his lips, placing a soft kiss against the back of it. Traces of syrup from his mouth stick to your skin, but you couldnât care less. âHow did I manage to find the most perfect woman in the world?â
âA little birdie told me you needed a babysitter, and I appeared on your doorstep,â you tease, tucking a lock of his hair behind his ear. âSpeaking of whichâŚI think Iâm out of a job.â
Eddie crinkles his nose in confusion. âWhat do you mean?â
âIâm not gonna be paid to babysit my boyfriendâs kids!â you laugh. âIs there anyone at their school who needs a babysitter?â
He thinks for a moment. âSteveâs thinking about going back to work now that the kids are older. Take some of the pressure off of Nancy to be the sole breadwinner, yâknow?â
âPerfect!â You clap your hands together. âCould you ask him for me?â
ââCourse,â Eddie smiles. âJust promise you wonât fuck him.â
Your eyes widen as tears well up in the corners, your mouth twitching as you try to hold back your hurt. âWh-what did you just say?â You wince as your voice cracks, giving away your true feelings.Â
Eddie immediately recognizes that heâs fucked up and reaches for your hands. âOh, no! Baby, baby, no. I was just kidding.â He stands up and brings his chair to your side of the table so he can sit next to you. âMy sweet girl.â He brings your hands up to his mouth and smothers your knuckles in kisses. âIâm sorry, baby. That was just a bad joke. Thatâs all it was, okay?â
A few tears break through the barricade and slide down your cheeks. Eddieâs quick to wipe them away with his thumbs.Â
âD-Do you not trust me? You t-think I only wanted you because Iâm your babysitter? Is that why you wanted me?â
âFuck, princess, no.â He pulls you into his arms, but you donât raise yours to wrap around him. âIt was just a shitty joke, I promise. Of course I trust you. I trust you with my lifeâwith my sonsâ lives. And I know thatâs not whatâs between us. Itâs not because you were their babysitter. Iâm really fucking glad you were though, âcause I donât know how else we would have met.â
Pulling back from him, you nod your head. You believe Eddie. But this wasnât a sore spot you knew you had until he poked at it. The insecurity of it already has its claws in your heart. âWhat if Nancy thinksââ
Eddie presses a kiss to your temple. âShe wonât,â he says firmly. âIf you want, I can arrange a playdate between the kids, and you two can get to know each other better.â
You think about Nancy: poised, confident, beautiful, and intelligent. What would she think of you, a twenty-year-old babysitter who fell in love with a parent she worked for?
âI dunno,â you whisper, feeling yourself deflate. âI donât want her to hate me, or look down on me.â Or think Iâm some kind of homewrecking slut, you think sourly.Â
âI donât think anyone could hate you,â Eddie muses, gently rubbing your thigh. âSheâll see how great you are with the kidsânot to mention how much I fucking adore youâand youâll be best friends in no time.â
While you appreciate his enthusiasm, you donât share it. Still, you agree to give it a try. For Eddie.Â
Looking at apartments gets off to a rough start. The first place only has two bedrooms, and the second bedroom is basically a glorified closet. The rent at the second place is astronomical, with Eddie nearly choking on his own saliva when the property manager tells him the amount. The third place seemed perfect, until a gigantic roach scurried along the kitchen counter.Â
ââM sorry, baby,â Eddie says, stifling a yawn as the two of you climb back into his car. âI thought that last one was gonna be it for sure.â
You feign innocence. âYou mean you didnât want a pet cockroach to keep you company?â He gives you a playful shove, making you giggle.Â
âHard pass.â He throws the car in reverse as he backs out of the parking spot, putting his arm around the back of your seat as he checks behind him. Something about it stirs up desire in you, but you know he needs to stay focused. Road head will have to wait.Â
âHow many more places are we looking at today?â
âI think thereâs three left on the list. We donât have to do them all today if you donât want to, though,â Eddie says as he pulls out onto the main road.Â
âI donât mind,â you tell him truthfully. âI kinda like it. I mean, I know Iâm not living there, but doing something domestic like this with you is making me really happy.â
Eddie reaches over for your hand and brings it to his lips. He kisses the back a few times, before lowering your joined hands. âWant you by my side for all these kinds of things. Big decisions and shit, ya know?â
âLike a partner?â
âExactly.â
Partner. The word sends a tingle down your tummy. Yeah, youâve had boyfriends before. But thatâs all they really were. Just someone to spend time with while youâre going to school, not really taking on actual life with one another, just having fun. But this with Eddie? Itâs the first real partnership youâve ever had. It might take a little getting used to since youâve never been part of a team like this before. But it sounds wonderful to you.Â
âWhatâs the address of the next place?â Eddie asks, breaking you out of your head. You scramble through your purse to find the scrap of paper.Â
â1007 Crane Street,â you read. âI think thatâs pretty close to Starcourt, yeah?â
Eddie nods, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. âMaybe after we check this one out, I can take you to the lingerie store they have there. Treat you to something pretty,â he adds, salaciousness dripping from his tongue.Â
âCan we focus on finding you a place to live? Jess is gonna burn out those headphones if you stay with us any longer.â
âItâs still early in the day. We can do both,â he reasons. âI think I turn right at this light, yeah?â
âYes.âÂ
Eddie makes the turn, and the apartment complex is only a few miles up the road. The outside looks nice, dark brown siding giving the buildings the impression of being log cabins. The thicket of trees around the area only adds to the whole campsite vibe. Eddie pulls the truck into a spot right in front of the office and you hop out. With one hand, Eddie pushes the door open for you, with the other, he laces his fingers with yours.
The property manager is a younger man in his late twenties, well-dressed and well-spoken. Even though youâve both made it abundantly clear that Eddie is the one renting the place, the manager mostly addresses you.Â
âIâll let you take a look around,â he says as he leads you to unit 129. âAnd if you need anything, give me a call.â He slips you his business card and leaves without even shaking Eddieâs hand.Â
âThis place looks perfect,â you muse, waiting for your boyfriendâs response. When you donât hear anything, you look over to find him with a bemused look on his face. âWhat?â
âBabe, what do you mean âwhat?ââ Eddie laughs. âHe was totally hitting on you!â He wraps his arms around your waist, pressing kisses to the nape of your neck. âCanât blame him, though. Youâre a hot piece of ass.â
You turn around, leaning into him as you hook your fingers through his belt loops. âWhat do you think, Munson? Can you picture yourself living here?â
âMhm,â he nods. âI can picture me fucking you on the kitchen counter, and in the bedroom, and in the showerâŚâ He jogs to the door, glancing around the hallway. âHow long do you think we have until your secret admirer returns?â
You roll your eyes. âCâmon. Letâs go put a deposit on this place so you can take me to the mall.â
âYes, maâam.â
When you step into the lingerie store, your eyes widen at the variety in front of you. Lace, velvet, silk. Bras, panties, teddies, corsets. And all available in an array of colors.Â
âHoly shit,â you say under your breath. But not quiet enough so that your boyfriend doesnât hear you.Â
âWhat, baby?â
âThereâs so much,â you say, gesturing to all the garments around you. âI donât even know where to start.â
Eddie slips his arm around your waist and presses a kiss to your head as you look over a selection of panties. âSweetheart, have you never had lingerie before?â
You shake your head as you pick up a pair of black lace panties. âSome sexy bras and underwear, but thatâs it. Nothing likeâŚâ you trail off as you walk over to a mannequin who looked strapped into some type of bustier. âI wouldnât even know how to put some of this stuff on.â
âDo you wanna go?â Eddie asks, brow pinching in concern.
âNo! I wanna get something. Iâm just not sure what. Here, you tell me what you wanna see me in.â
âAnything as long as itâs black. You look so sexy in black. And if you havenât noticed, Iâm partial to the color.â He gestures down to his black t-shirt, black jeans, and black leather jacket.Â
âWant me to model some stuff for you?â you ask, gazing up at him from underneath your eyelashes and biting on your lower lip.Â
âVery much so,â he says with a chuckle.Â
âOkay. UmâŚyou go sit over there, near the dressing rooms, Iâll grab a few things, then weâll see how they look.âÂ
âOoh, I love a good surprise,â he murmurs, hooking his fingers through your belt loops and pulling you to his chest. He brushes the pad of his thumb across your lower lip. âFuck, already getting myself worked up. Go pick something out before I carry you outta here empty-handed.â
You giggle, pressing a chaste kiss to his lips. âYes, sir,â you tease, but when you watch the color drain from his face, you realize youâll have to explore that more in the future.Â
Perusing through the racks of flimsy bras and lace teddies is more overwhelming than youâd imagined. Each time you try to choose one, doubts flood your mind. Will I look good in this? Will Eddie like it? What if he hates it but is too nice to tell me? What if I donât turn him on? You try to shake the thoughts away, bringing your attention back to the lingerie. After a few moments, you settle on a cupless bra with a matching black thong, a black Spandex bodysuit, and a light pink babydoll piece. The last item isnât Eddieâs favorite color, but itâll make you look innocent and corruptible, so you donât think heâll mind.Â
As you head back towards where Eddieâs waiting near the fitting rooms, you hear a tinny giggle coming from a petite blonde woman. Sheâs got her hand pressed to Eddieâs chest as she says, âEddie Munson, youâve still got your charm after all these years.âÂ
Despite your best efforts, you can feel the jealousy swirling inside you. Who the hell is she? And why is she talking toâno, why is she FLIRTING with my boyfriend?!
Eddie shoves his hands deep in his pockets and grins bashfully. âYeah, thatâs what my girl tells me.â
The blonde woman purses her lips, puzzled. âI thought you said that you and Brittanyââ
âOh, weâre completely done,â Eddie tells her. âBut I, uh, got myself a girlfriend now.â
âUm, hi,â you pipe up, giving an awkward wave. âIâm the girlfriend.â
The woman puts on a tight smile. âChrissy,â she introduces herself, hugging a corset to her abdomen. âWell, it was great seeing you again, Eddie. And, uh, nice to meet you,â she offers, scampering off towards the cashier.Â
âWho was that?â you ask, brow furrowing as your eyes follow the womanâs steps across the store.Â
âChrissy Cunningham,â Eddie says, wrapping an arm around your waist. âWe went to high school together.â
A quip about that being in the Stone Age dies on your lips as you turn back to face him. The way Eddieâs looking at you has you raising an eyebrow at him. A fond smile is carved on his mouth and his eyes are so soft and gentle that you feel like they could be made of actual chocolate. âWhat? Why are you looking at me like that?â
âI canât just look at you?â he asks. âYouâre beautiful.â
Narrowing your eyes at him, you lean forward, in towards his face. âOkay, what do you want?â
Eddie lets out a loud clap of laughter before burying his head in your neck. He presses a few kisses there before remembering what youâve got in your arms.
âAll right, all right, enough wasted time. Get in that dressing room and show me what youâve got.â He gives your ass a playful swat as you go to move behind the red velvet curtain of the dressing room.Â
You realize that you were right before. Youâre not sure how to properly put some of it on. A cupless bra is exactly what it sounds like; a bra without cups. So why does it feel so odd fitting it right on your body? Part of you is frustrated, but when you catch sight of yourself fumbling with the material in the mirror, you canât help but let out a little giggle. If you had been told six months ago that youâd be trying on your first real pieces of lingerie for Eddie Munson, you wouldâve punched the person for fucking with you. But here you are. And there he is, waiting for you on the other side of the curtain.Â
Making a few last adjustments to some strategically placed straps, youâre satisfied with how the garment looks on your body. You just hope Eddie feels the same. âUh, Eds? You can come in now.â
You poke your head out of the curtain and see his face lit up like Time Square on New Years. And he hasnât even seen your body yet. Stepping back to allow room for your boyfriend, you hold your breath as he breaches the curtain, and his eyes immediately scan over your body. His jaw drops open, making an audible popping noise as his lips part. Large hands come out as if theyâre going to grip you, but they freeze halfway between your bodies.Â
âHoly fucking shit, baby. I meanâŚholy shit.â
âVery articulate,â you say with a giggle, but his wordsâor lack thereofâhave you blushing. âOkay, let me try on the other ones.â
Eddieâs shaking his head. âCanât wait that long,â he mutters, glancing down as he stiffens against the zipper of his jeans. âIâll just buy âem all fâyou.â
âAre you sure?â
âSo fuckinâ sure,â he assures you, eyes never leaving your body as you change back into your clothes. ââBout to bust in my shorts like a goddamn teenager.â
You pull your shirt back over your head, bringing your arms through the sleeves. âCan you make it to the car? I can help you out there.â You giggle as he mumbles a Jesus H. Christ, grabbing your selections and bringing them to the register in record time.Â
Eddieâs practically an Olympic sprinter as he drags you to the car. His long legs leave you tripping over your own feet as he tries to rush you along at his speed. Unlocking the car, he holds your shopping bags in the other hand, and wastes no time tossing them in the back seat. He goes to climb in as well, when you tut and shake your head at him.
âUh uh,â you say. âFront seat, Mr. Munson.â The name was only intended to be a joke, but when you see him react the second time today to addressing him formally, youâre pretty sure youâve struck gold.Â
Eddie quickly slides into the driverâs seat and his fingers fumble over his belt buckle. Cool as a cucumber, you take your time getting in the passengerâs side. Dark brown eyes keep glancing at you when he notices that youâre not undressing.
âGonna ride me, babe?â he asks. âCause then you should at least take the jeans off. Kinda hard to fuck you through those.â
âNope,â you say, popping the âpâ sound. âJust start driving.â Eddie looks at you, confusion coloring his face. His jeans are pushed down his hips enough that you can see his cock straining against his green and white boxers. âJust start driving,â you repeat.Â
The look of confusion only growing on his face, he does as you say. He places his hand on the back of your headrest and turns his body so he can see out the back window as he begins to back the car out of the parking space. His tongue pokes out of his kissable lips in that adorable way he does when heâs focused on something. Which gives you the perfect opportunity. The car is still moving slow enough that youâre sure Eddie wonât cause a wreck while you lean in and pull his cock out of his boxers. The car comes to an abrupt halt as Eddie stomps on the breaks halfway out of the parking spot. Giggling to yourself because you were prepared for the jolt, you donât lose focus and you move to hover as best you can over his cock. Letting your spit dribble down on to it, you take Eddieâs long, thick cock in your hand and begin to jerk it just the way he likes.
âFuck, baby. Am I getting road head?â Eddie asks as he manages to get the car going again. The car picks up speed so you know he must be getting ready to exit the parking lot. The car crawls to a stopâpresumably at a stop signâso you lean forward and give the smallest of kitten licks over the head. âJesus.â
Smiling to yourself, you lean back in and wrap your lips around the reddened head. Swirling your tongue around, the salty taste of his precum stains your tastebuds. You can hear Eddieâs hands sliding over the leather of the steering wheel, and youâre pretty sure itâs from him gripping it even tighter than he was before. His cock grows even harder in your mouth, and you hollow out your cheeks in a feeble attempt to take him all.Â
âShit,â he breathes out, feeling your fingers grasp at his base. Despite your best efforts, the angle makes it impossible to get all of his length. âBaby, baby, baby, please.â His leg trembles beneath you, and you bring your head up to speak.
âStay focused on the road, okay?âÂ
âEasy for you to say,â Eddie grumbles, âyouâre not the one getting your dick sucked while trying to drive.â
âDonât worry, you can suck mine after,â you tease before licking a stripe up his cock. He hisses at the sudden contact. He twitches, signaling that heâs about to finish.
âCanâtâfuckâcanât hold back,â he grunts, bucking his hips up slightly. His foot accidentally presses harder against the gas pedal, propelling him through a red light. You donât notice that anythingâs awry until you hear the sound of a horn blaring just as Eddie starts to come. Thick, hot ropes spurt onto your tongue, and you swallow it just as a police siren whoops loudly.
Eddie groans, using one hand to tuck himself back into his pants. âBaby, sit up,â he nudges you. âAct normal.â Act like you didnât just have my dick in your mouth, he wants to say, but he keeps it to himself.
âWh-Whatâs going on?â you ask, grimacing as you take note of him starting to pull over, the sheriffâs car trailing right behind the truck. âEddie, what did you do?â
âMe?â he sputters, combing his fingers through his tousled curls.Â
âWell, youâre the one driving,â you point out unhelpfully.
Chief Hopper steps out of the car, mumbling to himself as he makes his way over to your driverâs side door. Eddie rolls down his window, flashing an apologetic grin at the older man.
âFor fuckâs sake,â Hopper grumbles. âIâve been pulling you over since you were sixteen, Munson. And me pulling you over were some of our better interactions.â
âYou still havent retired?â Eddie asks, raising his eyebrows and a playful smile dancing on his lips.Â
âListen, kid.â Hop places one hand on the roof of the car and bends down to be on the same level as Eddie. Thatâs when Hopperâs eyes are drawn to you, sitting in the passenger seat.Â
âHi, Chief,â you say, giving him a small wave when all he does is keep looking at you. His eyes dart from you, to Eddie, then back to you. The question âhow the fuck do you two know each other?â is basically written across his face in big bold letters.Â
âWhat was all that light running business about, huh?â Hopper finally asks, eyes finding Eddieâs face and staying there.
âI hit the wrong pedal,â Eddie says, dropping his hands into his lap. âMy foot mustâve slipped or something. Iâm sorry, Hop.âÂ
Hopper sighs and rubs across his graying, bushy eyebrows. âAny other day Iâd slap you with a ticket. But, uh, Iâve actually got something else for you.â
âYeah?â Eddie asks. âWill send over some more of those specialized dice he found?â
âNo,â Hop says, but this time heâs avoiding Eddieâs eyes. âStay here, Iâm going to grab it from my truck.â
âWhoâs Will? Oh, is the one you were telling me about from your Hellfire Club? The artistic one out in California?â you ask.
âYeah, heâs Hopâs stepson.â
When Hopper comes back over to the truck, his shoulders look a little more slumped and he sighs as he fiddles with a Manila envelope in his hands. The older man clears his throat before speaking again. âI was actually headed to your placeâor the address I was given for where youâre staying right now.â
âOh, uh, yeah,â Eddie says, a little confused about the shift in tone coming from Hopper. âIâm staying with my girl here.â Eddie pats your thigh a few times, and when leaves his hand there, you lace your fingers with his.Â
Hopper nods his head a few times. âIâm real sorry to have to do this, Eddie.â That shocks Eddie most of all, because in the fifteen plus years that Hop and Eddie have had their run-ins with one another, heâs never heard the police chief say that. Or even so much address him as simply âEddieâ and not âMunson.â As if heâs doing it against his will, Hopper forces himself to extend the arm of the hand thatâs holding the envelope. Eddieâs brow furrows as he takes it from him. âYouâre, um, being served. The custody documents.â
The color drains from Eddieâs face. Begrudgingly, Eddie takes his hand from yours so he can open the envelope and peer in at the court papers. One of the first things that catches his eye on a form is the name Brittany Munson written in bold lettering. The side of Eddieâs mouth curls up in a sneer as he looks at it. He winces at the painful reminder of their shared last name, their shared life. God, I hope she goes back to her maiden name. Eddie thinks. Fuck her. Fuck her for thinking she can take my kids away from me. Fuck her for thinking theyâd even want to be with her at all. Fuck her for all the shit she put me through and is now going to act like the victim.Â
âYou okay, baby?âÂ
Your voice breaks him out of his own head. He sniffs as he slides the documents back down and closes the envelope. âMâalright.â All three of you know thatâs a lie, though.
âReally wish Iâd only given you a ticket,â Hop says, voice full of a grim understanding of Eddieâs circumstance. âIf you need anything, you let me know. I may not be able to pull strings with any judges, but I know damn well theyâll take into account what I tell him. And those boys think the world of you. We all know that.â
âThanks, Hop,â Eddie says, nodding his head at the police chief.Â
âYou take care. Both of you,â Hop says. You give the older man a wave before heâs headed back to his truck. Slowly, you take the envelope from Eddie and lay it in your lap.Â
âDo you want to talk about it?â you ask softly. Eddie shakes his head and wipes his nose on the sleeve of his jacket.Â
âWanna get home, first. Then Iâm gonna fucking lose it.â He puts the truck into gear and pulls back on the road. The speedometer shows you going way past the limit, but you donât think Hopâs going to particularly care right now.Â
Eddie barrels into your apartment, throwing the envelope onto the table haphazardly before sinking into the sofa. He covers his face with his hands, but it does nothing to muffle his sobs.Â
âWorthless piece of shit!â he cries out, slamming a fist into his knee. âFuck!â
You sit down next to him, letting your thigh brush against his. âBaby, sheâs not gonna take the kids from you.â
Eddie looks up at you with red eyes and a tear-stained face. âNot her,â he shakes his head. âMe. Iâm a worthless piece of shit.â
You reach out to rub his back, flinching as he pulls away. âWhat? No, Eddie, youâre notââ
âI am.â His tone is harsh, angry. âI promised myself Iâd do better than my old man. Keep my family together no matter what. And now Iâm following in his goddamn footsteps!â He stands up suddenly, pacing around the tiny living room. âAll I wanted was a family. Mom, dad, kids all under one roof. House with the white picket fence. And I had it; I finally got it. And then I fuckinâ threw it all away.âÂ
âEddieââ
âMy boys,â he continues, âthose boys are my life. Everything Iâve ever done has been for them. So that they donât have to struggle like I did.â His gaze meets yours, and he catches the puzzled expression on your face. âWhat, did you think I was some kinda trust fund baby like Steve?â
âNo,â you murmur. âI mean, I knew you didnât grow up rich or anythingâŚâ
Eddie barks out a laugh. âYeah, thatâs the understatement of the century.â He rubs his nose with the palm of his hand; itâs one of his nervous habits. âI didnât just grow up not rich, baby. I grew up poor. Food stamps, trailer park, deciding whether to pay the electric or water bill poor.â He gnaws on his lower lip. âAnd living with my uncle Wayne wasnât by choice. I mean, I love the guy; heâs the reason Iâm not a total scumbag, but he took me in so I wouldnât become a ward of the state.â
You nod patiently. âDoâŚdo you wanna talk about your parents?â
âNot really,â he replies tersely, âbut since Iâm spilling my guts, why fuckinâ not.â He inhales, trying to control the vitriol that seeps through his pores. âAddicts. Both of them. Wayne claims my mom was clean before she met my dad, but I have my doubts. I mean, you donât start shackinâ up with a dopehead if youâre trying to stay on the straight and narrow.Â
âWhen I was a kid, my dad was barely around. And if he was, he and my mom were fighting. And not like normal people argue; theyâd beat the shit outta each other. I tried to break it up once, when I was six or seven, and my dad threw me to the ground. And when I looked to my mom to help me, you know what she did?â
Your stomach lurches. You know what heâs going to say next, but you canât seem to brace yourself for the impact.Â
âNothing. She did absolutely fucking nothing, because without him, she wouldnât know where to get her next fix.â Eddie plops back down to the sofa. âOne night, they were so high that they put some TV dinners in the oven and left to get more dope. Completely forgot about the food. And me, I guess. Just up and left without a word.Â
âI was in my room, drawing, when I smelled smoke. Came out to find the kitchen on fire.â He shakes his head at the memory. âI ran outta the house and a neighbor called the fire department. When the cops came and saw that a seven-year-old was home aloneânot to mention the needles and burnt spoons strewn around the houseâthey tracked down my folks and arrested them. Dropped me off at Wayneâs that night.â
You can feel your heart breaking with each word he utters. Youâve never experienced what he has, but you try your best to be comforting. âYouâre not your parents, Eddie. Youâre not an addict, youâre not negligent, youâre a great father.â
But itâs like he canât even hear you. âThat woman you met at the lingerie store? Chrissy?â
ââŚyeah?â
âYou know how I know her?â He crosses his arms over his chest.Â
âDid you two date?â you guess, but he just laughs in response.Â
âNah.â He waves off the idea as an impossibility, like he isnât the most handsome man youâve ever seen. âShe used to buy from me.â
âBuy?â
âDrugs,â he fills in. âI sold drugs in high school to make ends meet. Not the real hard shit like my parents used, but weed and E and K.â His wet brown eyes bore holes through yours. âI saw my parents struggle every goddamn day with addiction, and I still went and sold drugs.â
âYou were just trying to survive,â you protest.Â
âYeah, well, I couldâve been a cashier at Melvaldâs and survived there,â he rebuts, and you donât have a response to that. âBrittany was on the cheerleading squad with Chrissy, and she tagged along during a deal. Thatâs, uh, how we met.â
Brittany obviously isnât your favorite subject to discuss, but Eddie clearly needs to get this off of his chest, so you nod and wait for him to continue.Â
âShe was the first girl I ever loved. First girl Iâd ever been with.â A tinge of pink creeps across his cheeks. âI thought love was two people who tolerate each otherâs flaws. And we never raised a hand to each other, so that was a step up.â The joke falls flat, and he clears his throat awkwardly. âYou probably donât wanna hear about this.â
ââSâokay,â you murmur, placing your palm over his fingers, which are anxiously toying with the tears in his jeans.Â
âNo, itâs not.â He stands up suddenly, walking towards your room. âI always fuckinâ do this!â
âDo what?â you ask, trailing behind him. âBabe, what are you talking about?â
âI should go,â he mumbles, shoving his clothes into the duffel bag. âThis isâŚthis is a lot, and you donât need to be wrapped up in my bullshitâŚâ
You grab his hands in your own. âHey. Look at me.â Your tone is kind but fierce, and it works. You can feel his breathing start to slow to a normal rhythm, rather than the frantic panting he was getting worked up to. âI love you, Eddie. I love everything about you. I getâŚI get not being proud of your past. But youâre Eddie now. Incredible dad to the sweetest boys, amazing friend, and the best boyfriend in the entire world.â
âYouâre just saying that,â he mutters, but you can see the hint of a smile tugging on his lips.Â
âI mean every word.â
Eddie blinks back more tears. âI never want Ryan or Luke to do what I did. Never want them to even be in that position.â
âThey wonât,â you assure him. âWeâre gonna do everything we can to get them in your custody, okay?â
âWhat ifâŚâ his voice catches in his throat. âWhat if theyâre better off with her?â
âEddie,â you say, a huff of unamused laughter catching you off guard. âDid you hear what you just said? You really think theyâd be better with Brittany? Who doesnât even know the name of their school? Who doesnât care about them one fraction of the amount that you do?âÂ
âI know,â Eddie groans, rubbing his hands over his face. The sigh he lets out sounds so tired and worn out.Â
âThe best place in the world for those boys is with you. I donât have a single doubt in my mind about that. And deep down, you know it, too.â You rest your hands against his chest and make sure heâs looking you in the eye before you continue. âEverybody who knows you and who knows those boys can advocate that you are who they should be with. That you should get full custody. Whoâll be on Brittanyâs side, her sister? The kids have told me sheâs crazy, anyway.â
Eddie canât help but chuckle at that as he nods his head. âYeah, we never liked her.â
âThey belong with you. And tonight, you belong with me. Youâre not going anywhere. Okay?â
Releasing a long sigh, Eddie leans forward and rests his forehead against yours. âOkay.âÂ
âThink of the good things that are happening. You found a new apartment today. That you can decorate however you want. With minimal input from your girlfriend.â You give him a wink to let him know youâre teasing him. âAnd the boys are going to be so excited to make their rooms look cool. Imagine their little faces when their dad helps them create their dream rooms.
âOh, and where else did we go today? Wasnât there this store we went to where you bought something for me?â You tap a finger against your chin, playfully scrunching up your face as if youâre in deep thought. âAh, thatâs right. My boyfriend bought me some sexy lingerie to wear for him. Iâm excited. Iâve never worn lingerie for a guy before. I wanna get fucked in it.â
âBelieve me, you will,â Eddie says, the small smile growing a little wider on his face.Â
âAnd, hey,â you say, reaching up to cup his tear-stained face in your hands. âYou can talk to me about anything, okay? Weâre partners now, baby. Thatâs the deal. Your parents, Brittany, all of it.â You slide your hands from his face to wrap around his neck. âLike, I didnât know that Brittany was the only girl youâd been with before me. Thought sexy teenage Eddie Munson wouldâve had to beat the girls away with a stick. Guitar player? Mmm, how did you not have a line of girls vying for your attention.â
Eddie lets out a bark of self-deprecating laughter. âOh, sweetheart. You could not be farther from the truth.âÂ
âTheir loss,â you say with a shrug. âHow about Chrissy? You ever have a thing for her?â
âReally, babe?â Eddie asks with a chuckle, raising an eyebrow at you.Â
âWhat? Iâll tell you about the very small number of guys that have been in my life before you. Get you all worked up and jealous,â you say with a giggle. âThen put on that babydoll I picked outâthat only you ever get to see me in.â
âI may have had a small crush on Chrissy at one time, yes,â Eddie admits, his hands settling on your hips. âShe was with this douche Jason who liked to give me shit. They got married, actually. Ha! And just got divorced, she told me in the store this afternoon. Hope she takes all of his clothes and money and shit.â
âShe didnât seem too pleased that Iâm your girlfriend,â you say, tilting your head to the side.Â
âI donât give a fuck what she thinks about you being my girlfriend. I donât give a fuck what anyone thinks about you being my girlfriend. You make me happier than I ever thought I could be.â
âIs it because I gave you road head?â you ask with a smirk.
âYes,â Eddie says with a laugh. âItâs because you gave me road head. Do you care what people will think about you being my girlfriend?âÂ
âI do,â you say. âI care about what two wonderful little boys will think about it. I know they like me. I just hope theyâll like me as their daddyâs girlfriend.â
âIf they still like you after you made them eat Brussels sprouts that one time, I think itâs safe to say theyâll always adore you.â
âGood. Because I love them,â you say.Â
âNow,â Eddie says, pulling your body flush up against his. âAbout these guys youâve been with before meâŚâ
Giggling, you roll your eyes at him. âOkay, come on. If weâre having this discussion and subsequent lingerie fuck fest, we better get going so we donât traumatize Jess too much when she gets home.â
You push Eddie in the direction of your bed before going over to your bedroom door. Peeking out into the living room, you see the Manila envelope with the custody documents still on the table. Closing the door, you officially put it out of your sight. Let it stay there for the night. That can be dealt with tomorrow. Tonightâafter a brief period of telling Eddie about your previous trystsâyouâre going to make your boyfriend forget everything except for how to scream out your name.Â
Climbing on top of him, you trail kisses down his neck, feeling his body relax beneath yours. His hand lays on the small of your back.
âBaby?â His voice is so small that you can barely hear it. âCould we justâŚwould it be okay if I just held you for a bit?â
âOf course.â You slither off of him and onto the bed, resting your head on his chest. He hiccups softly, and you feel a tear drip off of his chin and onto your face.Â
ââM sorry,â he murmurs, sniffling as he tries to stop crying, but you just stretch up and kiss the tears away.
âDonât apologize,â you tell him, giving his waist a tight squeeze. âIâm not going anywhere. We can stay like this all day if you want.â
He nods, stubble scratching at your forehead. âI love you so fucking much.â He presses his lips to your scalp, intending to hold you to your promise of holding each other forever.
